Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of requests for holiday hairstyles to wear to Christmas parties so here's an easy half-updo that can't go wrong. By the way, you don't have to curl your hair for this because it looks beautiful and sleek with straight hair as well. Hope you guys like it and let me know if you tried it. :)

Hey guys today, I'm going to show you how to do this super easy half updo. So let's get started first off Spurr your hair with a heat protectant spray. Here, I'm using my kqc thermal shine. You can definitely leave your hair straight for this hairstyle. But today I just chose to curl it, so it's really up to you always brush out the heat protectant and allow your hair to dry for a few minutes before applying your Hot Tools then divide your hair and start curling from the bottom layer. First, it's always good to work inspections to ensure that you get all your hair curls. Now I'm going to curl my hair away from my face with the first strand, leave it for a few seconds and then release and I'm going to curl the other strand towards my face that way. The two curls won't bunch up together release the rest of your hair and start curling, your hair with the same technique and for this hairstyle I'm only going to curl the ends of my hair, not the top. So if you want to, you can do the exact same thing now that that's done section, your hair vertically on both sides now cross the sections over each other and take one of the ends and stick it into the hole. So this is basically like tying a knot. Tighten the knot vertically. By pulling it then use a bobby, pin and secure it right in the middle and then you're going to tie your hair in a knot one more time, but this time you're going to pull it horizontally and you don't want to pull on your not too tight. I like to pull on it just loosely and then secure both ends with bobby pin. So here's the finished look at first glance: you might raise an eyebrow, but once you know how to do it, you'll know that it's so easy to achieve. I have shorter layers and there is not enough hair left after I tie both "knots." I agree that it would look great with straight hair on someone without shorter layers. Great tutorial!
