Hello loves! I have been on my natural hair journey for about 8 years! I have done a 2nd big chop about 3 years ago :( Since then I have been focused on growth healthy hair!
WHY I CUT MY HAIR:
Hello, llamas, it's live, and today I am coming to you with a length and check and go it's been so long since I've done a length check. So a little background. I started my natural hair journey in 2011 when I, four years later in 2015, my hair was at its peak at its peak and it was amazing fast forward to about 2017 right around 26 to 2017. I was not taking care of my hair. I got a little bit too carried away with the heat and things like that. I got really insecure about the length of my hair and always wanted to show it, and because of that, I used a lot of blow dryers and x y & z. I had to do another big chop and I've just been growing, my hair back since then, and I finally think that I have reached a point where my hair is finally back where it was when it was at its peak when I was 4 years natural. So I have been natural for about 8 years throughout that journey. I have learned so much about my hair. I just finished blow-drying my hair, I'm about to trim it, and while I was blow-drying it, I put it in bantu knots. While I was going through each section - and now I took it out about an hour later, so this is what we're working with I'm so excited to share with you guys my journey as my hair has been growing back to its most most healthy state. So without further ado, let's get started.

malikah bey: i have been 3 years natural but i didn’t really take care of my 4c hair until summer 2017. i have learned so much! i used to avoid trims but trimming makes doing my hair easier and it looks better overall! deep conditioning is done every week for me, low manipulation is big for me. i will wear my hair in twists for days before taking them out. also, trying a range of products is good for my hair too. I discover what my hair loves from that
