If you haven't watched part, one then part two will be really confusing, so please click off this video and watch part one. I unfortunately will not be addressing questions that have already been covered in part one, so the link will be in the description box. So please check that out thanks a bunch. Yes, of course, this is my real hair. I mean, i know that's hard to fathom, but i would not put this much time, effort or energy into hair. That does not belong to me. Okay! No! No! This is my hair. I'Ve been collecting my hair for a little over seven years and i've been planning to eventually turn it into functional usable, realistic pieces. I actually wasn't sure if this was possible until it was possible, so i'm very pleased with the outcome so far. I have tried this before but gave up, because organizing hair is difficult and time consuming can't wait to see your final unit. I have so much hair that i have collected that i was thinking of doing this, but my hair is super curly and bunched up the egyptians used to do this too. They shaved their heads completely bald and made wigs out of their own hair. I also keep my shed hair, but never thought of making a wig. This is awesome. I definitely thought of creating a wig out of my own hair, although from shaved hair, this was an idea i had too it's not weird to collect, shed hair. I'Ve been collecting. My hair all year to analyze it later i collect my shed hair and burn it or bury it in my flower garden. This is so cool. If we can wear other people's hair without thinking it's weird, then surely we can wear a hair that grows from our own scalp omg. I'Ve been saving my hair and wanting to do this. I have been collecting my shed hair for over three years now, just to track my hair loss. I can't believe i can make a wig out. Thank you for not thinking. I'M super aware, because i thought i was the only one that saved my own shed hair, but i'm glad there are so many others out there like myself, who think outside the box. Now this is not my normal shed hair detangling experience, my normal shed hair is usually either straight or stretched hair. That hair is much easier to work with what you're watching is accumulated matted hair from the shower from wash day it has been stored in a ziploc bag for like over a year, so it's very, very difficult to detangle. First, you want to spray dry. Shampoo dry shampoo, makes everything so much easier. The powder you want to start finger, detangling small sections at a time. The powder and dry shampoo helps the strands glide past each other, making detangling such a breeze. Then i start using a wide tooth comb. I mean there's a lot of back and forth. You want to start finger detangling. Then you want to start with the dry shampoo. Then you might go back to combing, then you want to do tweezer, detangling and back to finger detangling. This is a lot of trial and error. It'S whatever works at that moment, but just keep working whatever works for you at the time to get that hair detangled. I definitely want to keep the length, so i got to be very careful that the hair doesn't snap or break as i'm trying to separate the hair. Eventually, hair will be easy to pull apart with minimum breakage or risk of losing length. I also use sharp edge tweezers to help separate the hair that makes detangling much easier as well. You can also micro detangle using a sewing needle or a safety pin. Anything really sharp heat does a great job at breaking up the kinks. When heat is applied, the tangling becomes so much easier after two hours of working on it. I got tired. I was just annoyed, so you can do that. You can start whenever you want. I came back to it. A week later, i was able to finish straightening out the hairs made sure that the cuticles were all going into the going in the same direction. It'S very important that you align the hair all at the same height if the hair is not leveled. If the hair is not all aligned, if the hair is not even then, when you go to bind the hair, you risk losing strands. This is a very important process. You don't want to lose hair that you've worked so hard to preserve, along with getting your cuticles in the same direction. Making sure that the hair is even and aligned is just as important, because if you comb your hair or wash your hair you're going to lose strands, and i tried very hard to make sure that my strands were shed proof now. That sounds impossible. But i damn sure tried my best, because i didn't want to keep repeating the process and going back and saving the same hair over and over again. If it takes me too long to get everything aligned i'll just cut it until it's, even although i risk losing inches, it speeds things up, everything has to be. Even everything has to be aligned before you start the bonding process. This is my least favorite part of preserving my shed hair is making sure that the hair is all aligned and it can take a week up to a month to make sure that every single strand is evened out. Yes, honey. This is definitely a labor of love, but the good thing. The good thing is that there is no time frame or deadline to this okay. Consider it a hobby like crocheting like consider it like you're working on a blanket. You can work on it during free time. There is no pressure involved and when i start to feel overwhelmed, i just stop working on it. I come back when i have fresh eyes. You know what i mean. I come back when i feel rested and rejuvenated, but i promise you once you see what your hair looks like detached from your head. Creating pieces becomes addictive, you're going to want to keep working on it because you're going to want more hair. I'M telling you next thing, you know you've been working on this thing for like eight hours and you don't even realize the time goes by so fast. It'S actually a little bit fascinating. You know creating tracks from your own head like what who does that i do, but really it you will become fascinated and be like wow this. This actually came from my head. There'S a lot of questions about whether or not i'm going to show the wefting process. Of course, i'm going to show you everything every my new detail. Trust me, i'm going to show you. I would not tell you that i made a wig out of my own shed hair and i show you exactly how i made it because i know it comes with many many questions. Your questions, i'm quite confident, will be answered in each part. So stay tuned. You

KissMy Crown: Them: Is that your real hair or a wig? Her: Yes

Baby TT: SWH you’re gonna inspire a whole lot of women to make their own wigs with their own hair, you’re about to put the far eastern people out of business LOL. I love how creative we are as BW.

J TLake: I’m fascinated with the process. It’s like watching a masterpiece. I was nervous when you detached the hair from the tape though

Salone Sis: This takes an extraordinary amount of patience. I look forward to seeing the finished wig.

Ugo Uchendu: This is a level of patience I simply cannot fathom

Cee Bee: ...I joked to my boyfriend earlier that I could make a wig with the amount of hair I shed in this house after vacuuming yesterday and seeing my hair over the floor already. Youtube was listening cause I wasn’t being serious but now maybe I am. This is hella interesting! Can’t wait to see the final wig.

Charnell Price: I know for a fact I will NEVER do this, but it is fascinating!

Wigs2WaistLength: I am just in awe that you are doing this, definitely interested in this.

Alex: Girl your patience is so impressive! I can’t wait to see the outcome!

Chimere Trielle: Very unique! I mean why pay for somebody else’s hair when you can use your own!

Destiny Cabryle’: Watching you detangling the hair almost made me cry. There’s NO WAY i could do that for 7 years I salute you

Dolce Dawn: OK, I must applaud you for having the patience to even endure such an endeavor. Wow! I am impressed!

ShayR87: Issa hard NO for me but I’m so in awe ✊

Jason Williams: Can’t wait the finished results.

mjgarner123: Sis, this is definitely a labor of love and well worth it. You transformed the matted pieces into pieces of art! Fascinating and beautiful! Thanks for sharing your process.

restless journey: More women are gonna start doing this and they should especially those who shed a lot more. This will save people money and won't feel ashamed. Plus, you know where the hair came from and not from someone else around the globe. Now other people can't say negative crap about wigs made from your own shed hair...you have my support for sure

MsNaturale Michelle: This is incredible. It should absolutely go viral best thing I have ever seen on Youtube!! Can't wait to follow this journey (watch all the videos you have inshore for us)!

Jake and Jazz: This is outstanding you set the bar high with this one. I never seen anyone do this with their own hair and can't wait to see the finished results.

Divine Mokeira: With as much hair as I shed, I’m going to make a wig! Thank you for inspiring me! And I’m so happy to see you active again on YouTube! You have TRULY been missed! ✨

lebonbonanna: The sheer amount of effort, patience, and care to create a wig is amazing. I am astonished!! It's so satisfying to see it come together.

makeda ahmirh fareed: The duct tape part scarred me so bad! My hair is fine and high porosity so i dont think i could do that part. Id have to use masking tape or blue painter’s tape or something more gentle. Im loving watching the process!!

Mini: Chileeeeee the patience you need for this!!!!! Lol But this is just so fascinating!!!!

Secret: This is actually kind of smart in a way. Like not just a person wearing their own hair, Many people could start buying hair texture such as yours now and because it's real, you guys could finally have a hair texture that can even get deeper curls even curls like 4c. Imagine if many people with your hair type and even kinkier hair types donated she'd hair instead of cutting it off. That way people can make wigs, and you guys don't have to sacrifice large amounts of hair. I'm sure this would be a long process, and the wigs would be super expensive, bit this does open up a window to a variety of different hair types. This would make a unique and interesting business and I think you should consider it. You have other businesses in different countries where they collect that cut hair, and process it with slightly similar methods, they wash the hair, detangle the hair, align the strands, straighten the strands/curl, they do the same things, the difference is that they have techniques, along with better equipments to make the process more easier. If there was a business that actually collected black women hair, or hair types that ranged around 4a-4c, and sold them as wigs, that would be a million dollar company. Many people are going natural, so to have a wig that can take any curl pattern, that can be manipulated any way, and that will last a long time because it's real hair will be a very smart business. Plus it would be black owned something that is absolutely needed for the black community. A great idea to start businesses with your own race as to not be taken advantage of by other races. What is more is that even non black women would buy this hair.

Allysse: You’re amazing, I loved watching this. I clicked at the speed of light when I saw part 2. I hope you continue the videos in parts working your way up to the actual unit and installation.

Tuza Bona: Such an exciting project! I just reviewed older pictures of my collected shed hair in 2017 and 2018 that I braided up. Now that my hair is longer and still straightish your videos motivate me for another try

Sophie Vanderbilt: This is such a great idea! I've been noticing my hair is a bit thinner around my hairline as I'm getting older, so I would love to have a clip in bang or something that matches my hair and looks natural. This seems like a lot of work, but it would be worth it to have a piece that perfectly matches my hair. Thanks for showing us how you did this!

psr076: Thanks for sharing this process. I can’t wait for to see the final result !

BLACK Mona Lisa: I don't why people are so shock that she using her hair to make A wig... Isn't the same As buying HUMAN HAIR wigs... Like you don't know how they got that hair from someone else I think it's cool and creative of what she is doing❤

Christelle N: I am so amazed at the time it can take and at the results!!!!! WOW. Seven years?? Even with my own hair I would not love the idea to add something extra on them when they are untied but wooooow I am impressed at your work and very beautiful results!!!! Be blessed !!

miri ♡: I hope this will be the new wave. So many of us struggle with finding hair that matches our natural textures and spend an insane amount of money and time on wigs when we could be putting effort into this. Of course it’s time consuming but the result, a wig made from the hair on our very heads, would be so worth it.

Angelia Fairchild: This looks very therapeutic I might need to do this just to destress

Andreea: This is Amazing! Would of never thought of doing this! cant wait for part 3

T R: this is so dope! i would imagine detangling would be a bit easier if u were to lay the strands out & store them as soon as u shed hair that day. cant wait to see the rest of the process

Kishinuma Ayumi: This is SOOO amazing. It's sustainable, it's recycling, it's limited resource pretty much.. this is great

Carolyn Levy: I enjoy watching the process thus far and cannot wait to see part 3. Thank you for sharing with us.

Norma Vega: I'm learning so much from you. I'm attempting to make a wig from my own hair for a doll. It is sooooo time consuming. I feel like my hair is completely unique from anyone else. It's curly, very thin and no body whatsoever. I don't even try anymore; it's always in a bun. Anyhow, I thought I might share a product called Un-Do. It dissolves adhesive without damaging the object on which your working. In this case, hair. You might want to try it when you're removing the hair from the duct tape. Just sprinkle a little and the hair should release easily.

DM: Soo fascinating. Thanks for sharing the process in detail. I'm here for it

XxSmartiesxX: I’m amazed, I need to see this whole journey bc I’ve always been nervous about buying hair (especially with these sky high cost) and would like to try this!

LadyYogi: Super fascinating. Even though I know how to make a wig a few different ways, never thought to do this with my own hair.

Southernbred: You have a lot of patience girl! I don't think it's weird at all that you're doing this though. Hell, we wear other people's hair without thought. Also, it's no different than when someone does something like cut their locs and save them then reattach them to their head

Kynota Murray: Wow! Fascinating! Who would have ever thought to make use of all our loss hair? You got my vote! Keep us updated because now I'm hooked.

Changedone4Life: This is such a great idea ! At least with this process you know EXACTLY where the hair came from!!

HOPROPHETA: I remember when you used to say "I'm working on a project" re: hair. Thanks for sharing!

JoeLoughrenOfficialVevo: I have so much shed hair that I’ve been saving i thought I was such a weirdo but this is so inspirational I’m so excited to see more of the process I need to go out and buy some dry shampoo!!

Sabrina McEwen: I also wanted to elaborate on what I mean when I said I make buns with my shed hair... I use hair nets and basically pile fluffy balls of shed hair and secure it in the net, tie it off and I can Bobby pin the the buns into place. If the hair is just too tangled I also smooth it as much as possible & braid those clumps. They work great

Cristi J: This is so cool and interesting!!! Thank you for showing the process.

Ilovesesshomaru sama: I tried to collect my hair for a year but i didn’t know how to get the hairs together from root to tip. Thanks for the vid. Btw the yuo women in China save their hair as well to add to their own hair to make it look thicker.

Rich Rich: This is how they make some of the wigs from these vendors online. They take scraps from the floors of beauty stores too and and make wigs then sell them. It’s dope to actually watch the process of yours though. Love it

sweetfm2008: Absolutely Amazing!!! I just LOVE watching your channel!!! ❤️

Ronda Smith: I'm SO looking forward to the end result queen as this is bw genius. I still have mine from 2016- present in Ziploc bags. Peace and Blessings

TamikaD: This really is brilliant, but my goodness. You are going to be sooo attached to this wig just from the time and work you put into it. I hope once finished, it lasts you forever.

Tatrice Shipp: Definitely patient. Them :is that your real hair or a wig? Her: A wig and my real hair. Them:Walks away more confused than ever. Lmao

Alves de Jesús Bárbara: this is insane in the best way possible you have so much patience. i was with my mouth open when i saw at the end how all the tracks were looking. i hope to see soon more videos cointinuing the process

Irrelevance: I can definitely relate up to the comments you showed at the start of the video. I also started collecting my shed hair to use as extensions (I was inspired by the yao women of china who use rice water) they use their own hair as extensions for their style's found it so clever. But it's hard to do with coils, I eventually gave up

Jamila Baker: This is amazing. You're an artist, sis...

maracheno: This is so cool and incredible. What do you do with damaged hair. Do you trim them if they have split ends?

thingsilove18: This is so cool!! Have you ever thought about doing lace wig instead of tracks?

Ashleigh Alvarez: Omg I still can’t believe how incredible this is

Annie Ray: Love it sis...your my #1 YouTuber now.. with your hair seduction...love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I now need to follow those that's doing it the way I need & the way I can related to.. I'm bra strap length & now going for mid back.. been stuck n bra strap for 2years now.. I keep cutting split ends but not all the way.. hate 2cut my hair..my hair also does better straighten for some reason.. less manipulation but I notice wen I straightened it monthly or every 3weeks.. my hair was coming off.. no growth but now wen I straightened it after 30 days I just braid it up..( pig tails).. for another 3week.. water & oil it in the shower every other day..put my head wrap on.. & let it be so now ill b straightening every other month.. which I started doing but now you have confirmed it for me.. don't do wigs & tired of box braids.. for now..

ImTotallySummer: I’m so excited to see your result, I’d love to do this but my hair is too fragile probably

MsNaturale Michelle: Everyone share these videos. This is ground breaking for us women of colour!

TheHappynstuff: Wow. This is such a great series.

Jasmine T: I’m dying for part 3 I really wanna try this I never wore a wig before but I would love to make a wig out of my own hair I just don’t think I have your kind of patience lol that kind of patience is unmatched

kellsy h: i like this. Shows you are creative and are thinking. Thank you. Soooooo very glad you are not caught up in the trending mess that many others are. Drama filled, unnecessary mess. Very glad you are recycling. Making your own weave/wig haha. Nice .:^D

Mary Jacob: That was absolutely fascinating

The Wingless Phoenix: Kudos to you. I did this many years ago. TWICE! Whew.... I'm pretty sure mine wasnt as lovely as yours will be albeit indeed a labor of love. Since then, I've been seeking during the daytime with a flashlight someone who I could pay to do another for me. Nevertheless, I bid you kudos one more & look forward to seeing the follow up parts.

brit Plant based: Damn girl you deserve the most subscribers for this piece of art

Bevey Boop: Absolutely Brilliant SistaWith RealHair!! I look forward to your next video.

Melanin Gem: I would love to see the outcome . I just saw someone on Instagram doing this

ms.chelle: All I can say right now is wow at the way your unit is turning out. Love it.

Sharon Hyde: Not planning on doing this but it’s so interesting to watch ❤️

Nay: At first I thought this was weird. but then I realized that people grow their hair out and cut it off to donate it to cancer patients who want to wear wigs. so in reality, it’s not so weird after all and it’s pretty cool if you ask me.

Marsha Allen: Never thought of this but it's really fascinating. Please keep showing us how you do this.

Mali Ngoatje: Do you think I’d be able to do it with natural hair but like relax it to make it straight as I gather it? This is amazing!

Belle: I was just sharing your channel with my daughter this morning. You are so creative!

Jasmine Gabrielle: Honey, you have PATIENCE! This is so neat, but lord knows I'm not that patient nor am I am thoughtful! Hats off to you love! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Juju DaBarbie: This is so dope. Thank you! I love original content

XO!tony: Wow, that looks tedious! Admire your patience and persistence.

Mama bear J: Can’t wait til the next video! Not a wig person but This is definitely interesting, so glad you’re uploading again

Kyla Desiree: This is AMAZING!!!

wisebliss: You may want to invest in a drum carder and blending board. I have watched videos on how to make yarn from sheep fleece and the process of cleaning, drum carding and blending is similar. You would be suprised at the beautiful results. Fiber is fiber. Watch a drrum carding fleece video to see how this instrument may help. Best

Makada: THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL!

RandomRighteousness: When you do have the final wig how will you mitigate heat damage on the wig? Will you have one wig you perpetually keep straight and one curly?

WLHMC ALLNATURAL: Oh wow, l just saw my own comment. I also collect my own shed hair , but never thought of doing this. This will actually encourage me to comb my hair to get all the shed hair to make my human hair wig, you are a genius

Plant Based Foodie: Chile...the patience! Great work!

ladyward99: When someone ask you!! “Is that your HAIR??? You can say ‘yessss girl it’s all my hair!!!’
