How To Wear Wig Over Your Locs - Flat + Easy + Quick Tutorial

Hello, everybody what's up what's up, my name is ginita blue and in today's video i'm going to be showing you how to go from beautiful, with locks to playing with your beautiful wig. A lot of people say that you can't switch up locks. I'M someone who loves versatility, i love switching my style, so first things first, is that your natural hair, whether you're, locked or wearing wig whatever it is? You want to make sure that your hair is taken care of. I don't usually apply really any products to my locs, just a little bit of spritzing water and oil. Whenever my scalp is dry, that's a very low maintenance when it comes to time for me to get a retwist um. So i'm gon na i'm actually gon na attempt to try to do my own retwist. If that's something that you guys want to see, definitely comment down below. If i was gon na wear a side part with my wig, i will part my locs to the side. Like so so, parts would line up with parts, but because i've decided to go ahead and do a middle part with the particular wig i'm wearing. Today, i'm going to go ahead and part my hair down the middle like this, because wherever you want your part to be, you want it to lay flat, i'm just going to pull my locks to the back like this breaking them with my fingers, breaking them with My fingers and i'm just going to pull them back into a low pony and put it in a little bun like this. Now i'm gon na go in and i'm going to put on my stocking cap. I always use two stocking caps. The first stacking cap that i put on is literally just to kind of lay my hair down flat. This can be darker, typically not the same color as me, then i go in with a cap that is similar to my complexion, so it can show through through the lace. You always want to make sure that we are working with clean hair. Guys, like we don't want these weaves to break our skin out. We definitely want to make sure that we're taking care of ourselves. So i go in i wash my hair. I use this beautiful argan oil um, deep conditioner that i even use in my natural hair and yeah make sure that wig is clean. So the first time i put my wig on is really just to kind of test it out to see how tight i need to make my wig. So then i go in and i put my combs in and now i can finally put my wig on and she's, fitting nice and snug. The idea is to mold our hair down, so i'm going to brush my hair to make it lay flat. Also get your part on point and add the makeup to the part, this literally just ass bottom, just squirted out like all over my hair. What is this? Oh, clean, this up? Okay, we're back all right. Let'S try to keep this video on upscale! You know! Let'S go take it back up because that was just very disturbing foundation. I'M gon na use this fit me foundation almost close to my skin complexion. It'S the winter time here in cleveland, not a lot of sun where i live, and you know so, i'm just going to take literally just a dab of this, not messing with that concealer right now and i'm just going to go in and like sort of paint. My part, that's cool anytime, i do makeup and i get too much over on the part. Take a black eyeliner like so, and i just sort of color in to either thin my part out to um clean up any like imperfections, i'm pretty happy with the part. My little baby hairs - and these are optional - you don't have to do these. I'M gon na use my got to be glued. I actually bought this when i was in asia, so just take the window on my finger. Okay, ladies now, the idea behind this guy should be blue in the edges, just like literally whether you're putting it on your baby hairs and your edges. You want to take that little bit of lace, that's surrounded by your wig, and you want to put that got to be glue on there in the meantime, brushing down a few hairs behind it and we're going to mow our hair down so continually brushing. It know that my hair is a little bit damp and this is going to really allow my wig to lay flat i'm taking some more of that got to be, and i'm rubbing it right on the top of my hair, not at the bottom, but mainly on The top where my actually head is hit it with a little bit of spray. This has also got to be mind-blowing, get it with my brush to really get it. How i want it? Yes, like you can still have so much fun with hairstyles and wigs and switching up your styles. Even if you have locs, please don't let anybody fool you and tell you otherwise, because janita is telling you. Yes, you can do it making sure it's as flat as possible. It'S really going to take the shape of our head, so um once it's in the space where it can be molded, i'm putting on my scarf and it's really it's really going to take the shape. You'Ll be able to see once i finish, you want to make sure that it's nicely molded. Now i'm going to go in with my flexi rods, i am wearing body wave hair, so i really want my hair to be boom wavy with the curls now um. You could wait till after you could definitely blow dry and straighten your hair, but because i do want that wavy look i'm going to go in and put in about 1 inch, thick flexi rods being sure i smooth my hair down as i go start from the Bottom and always go in the direction away from your face, hun sure lock that in you're good to go i'm gon na. Oh pretty! This one feels a little damp and my hair is a little bit damp. But that's okay for me because it's gon na dry, it is body wave and if you haven't already smash that like button. Oh, what are you doing? Go ahead and like it? And you see how flat that is, underneath my locs, it's all about being unique. It'S all about style!
