Hi, my name is Darren with head covers comm, and today I'm going to show you how to wash your synthetic wig. So before you begin washing your synthetic wig, it's always important that you are using a wig hair product that is specifically designed for synthetic hair and that's because if you were to use a wig hair product that is made for natural hair over time, it's going to Cause a buildup on the synthetic fiber and it is going to just shorten the lifespan of your wig, so you're gon na wash your wig every six to eight wears. If you were to wash it less than that over time, the oil and sweat is going to cause a buildup on the fiber of the wig cap and it's going to shorten the lifespan of your wig. If you were to wash it too much, it's going to cost stress on the synthetic fiber and it won't last as though, to wash a long butt wig. We recommend that you place it in either a shower of, or some sort of running water. That way the water is running in the direction of the hair um. If you were to wash it and like a basin of some sort over time, you can cause the hair to match or to tangle, so we just recommend running it in running water. So first you're gon na take your wig and you're going to take a Whitcombe you're going to comb out any of the knots or tangles and the wig, and it's important to know that you're going to do this when your wig is dry and never wet. Do it like so make sure you get it real good next you're going to take a small bowl or a small basin of cold water? Again, you don't want it to be warm and needs to be cool or cold you're going to take your wig shampoo place. A little bit in the bowl swirl it around you're gon na place the wig in wanted to get all that then you're, going to just with your fingers, run the shampoo through the hair. Now, if you are washing a hand-tied, wig or a lace front wig, you want to make sure that you're especially delicate with it and then make sure you get the inside and rub it where you sweat a lot and again just be delicate with the hand-tied wigs. Okay, so now that I have it all shampooed we're gon na rinse it out, so I have a clean bowl of water. I'M just gon na place the wig back in and with my fingers, I'm going to rinse all the shampoo out now you could also do this under running water. It doesn't have to be in a basement, and you want to be very gentle. You don't want to scrub or rub too hard and whenever you feel like you got all of the shampoo out really well, you can move on to the conditioner, so take conditioned the way I'm going to take the conditioner and put it in my hand. Here I just want to rub it in my hands: let's start at the back here and I'm just gon na use my fingers and rub it through the hair. Now, whenever you get to the top portion of your wig, especially with the hand tied cap, you want to make sure that you don't actually touch the wig cap touch the base of the wig, and that's because over time what can happen is the conditioner can cause The hairs to become unknotted and they'll eventually want to start falling out, so you just want to get the ends of the hair with the conditioner. So just like so and now we're going to rinse the conditioner out. So now that I have rinsed all of the conditioner out again, you want to make sure that you get all of it out. You are going to dry it in a towel. I'Ll show you how to do that so you're, just gon na place it over here and you are going to blot it dry. You'Re not going to rub you want to be very gentle. All you're doing is vlogging it once you feel like you. Have it good. You can just shake it out and since this is a synthetic wig, it does need to air dry. If you were to use any heat on it to dry it, it would ruin the hair. So I'm going to place it on a leg stand and if you were to wash your wig in the evening time, it would be ready to wear the next day and you don't again, you don't want to comb the wig whenever it's wet. If you want to place some hairs in a certain position, you can do that with your fingers, while it's wet and it's just gon na air dry, so for more helpful tips on how to wash your synthetic wig and more videos, you can visit our web site At www.affordablecomm.com
