How To Take Care Of Kinky Curly Wig | Her Hair Company

[ Applause, ], [ Applause, ] hi, guys welcome back to my channel, so I am going to be showing you how I am taking care of my wig and taking care of the hair underneath this wig. This is the kinky curly wig that I made with her hair company. It'S two bundles of 16 inch, kinky curly, steel, bundles of 18 and kinky curly, and I 14 inch kinky curly closure. Her was not full, so, as you can see, I have colored my hair. I am going to do a talk before the end of this video, so you guys can know about the hair color, but, as you can see, it is definitely worn in. So I'm just showing you just a few steps of how I take care of the wig and basically all I do is deep conditioning y'all. I literally just sprayed it with some water and take one of my favorite deep conditioners, making sure that it's water-based I'm going to take these texture pro comb and I'm also going to go through it with a diamond brush just to define the curls and then repeat This entire process around this wig it took forever it took about hour to finish this. As you can see, the hair is super defined and I left it on for about 30 to 45 minutes and rinsed it out. I did not rinse out all of the deep conditioner I left a little bit of it in and I just let it air dry for an entire day and finish it with a diffuser and that's pretty much it so just a few thoughts about the actual hair Itself, I did not experience a lot of shedding just a little bit of shading, which is a pretty great indicator that you have a really great batch of hair. If your hair is shedding and it's just doing the absolute most. And if it's hard to detangle, you got there believe, oh and that's part of the reason why I'm doing this, so I can demonstrate to you guys what actual curly hair is supposed to do, so I'm very very impressed that their kinky curly hair. This is the kinky is hair that they have did not take a long time to detangle. As far as like actually dangling like it wasn't a task to do that. It was just a lot of hair, so it took a little bit and it did not shed a lot. This hair is very durable and I could definitely see myself wearing this league for quite some time. So I just wanted to demonstrate and talk to you guys about how I take care of my hair underneath the wig. Now I just straightened my hair, so I'm not gon na braid it or do anything to it. I'M actually just gon na tie my head scarf around my head to keep my hair flat. I couldn't find satin head scarf that I would you know typically like to use um, but this lays down pretty flat because there are circumference of the league. Um fits my head perfectly than any other time my hair is twisted. I make sure that a deep condition - and I also make sure that oil by ages so I'll, just all my edges, away, castor oil and so here's my wig, I just washed and conditioned turn. I also just added this band here to kind of help. It adhere to my head um, so I'm just gon na take it like that and then fold her back like that, and then I'm gon na make sure that the green from my scarf isn't showing and then that's it. Instead of using a powder brush, I'm just going to pick it out because I want it to last a little bit longer than it did the last time, because when you use the paddle brush the downside today, the downside to that is that it gets a little Bit of frizzier and just like all over the place, so I'm just going to fluff it with good old enemy, hair peach. Oh so that's pretty much it I'm probably going to go back in and take some bobby pins. They kind of pin it down, but this is pretty much how I'm going to leave the wig guys and see that I actually did color my hair. I did not film that, because I didn't know what it was gon na look like a battement died, um a wig, this color in a long time, so I am going to be doing another week so I'll show you guys how I color it that way. But I can kind of walk you guys through, so I first lifted the hair color, so I got a 40 volume developer in some bleach if you ever wan na color your hair, especially really curly hair, if you ever want to color it with bleach after it's Already made just know: that's gon na be a little bit difficult. However, it makes it easy to kind of see the transition I bleached the front first just so it could sit a little bit longer and in the back I didn't leave it on. As long after that, I took cream of nature vivid red. I used three boxes. I used every single edge drop of each box color and I created this beautiful, like coppery red color, because in the last video I did the temporary hair color and that did not last more than a day. So I was like I didn't want my wig to be black, so I colored it that night really really fast and on a whim. So that's the part of the reason why I didn't record the video you basically just want to make sure that you're taking care of your wig Lecky take care of your own hair. I take it off every night. I do not sleep in my wig, so did you sleep in your league, especially curly? Wait you're gon na wake up in it's not like a breakfast. Also. What I typically do is I put it back on the mannequin head. I put the push pins in there to make sure that it stays secured. It doesn't fall off, I mean with leagues. You just want to play with it until you get the look that you're looking for and the look that you want. Not you know, it's not rocket science, I don't think, but I do think that there is a method to cutting a wig and making sure that the way that it's cut, you can pretty much style it anyway, and it won't look like a week because that's the Point right to not have it look like a like. I want people to think that this is my hair. So that's why I'm ready for to wash my hair back, because when I wash my hair, I actually had some leave out. That was curly. So if the wind wooo, I wouldn't be looking like that um so typically like my leave out, is all the way out and it's just curly all the way around my edges with my hair straight, obviously now so after wait until I washed my hair.
