Hi, i'm going to show you today how to put long hair into a swim cap and keep it 95 dry. I get asked this question a lot and i see it posted on a lot of swimming boards, a lot where people with long hair don't want to wreck it, especially if you have you know the the purple colors and other uh artificial colors in your hair, um And you don't want to wreck it and strip that out with chlorine, so i'm going to show you what i do to keep it about 95 percent dry. First, one is you're going to want to brush it into a very high ponytail. All the way on the top of your head. Try to get it up as high as you can there we go looks great. The next thing is we're going to twist it into a bun. So, however, you want to make your bun is fine. I kind of make a messy bun here. Hold it with another ponytail holder, then comes a ziploc bag. If you have one, that's, you know, has the zip block closed cut that off? Otherwise it's just going to be a sandwich, size, baggie and i'm going to put that over the bun, so it's completely covering the bun and then make that stay on with another ponytail. Now comes the harder part, then i take my silicone headband and i put that on. Then i have a swim cap - that's specifically designed for long hair, so it has some extra material here, that's going to accommodate long hair, and i'm going to put that on this. One can be a little tricky since that ball is right at the top of your head, and once you get the cap on the biggest thing with these long-haired caps is all this extra material that you see in the front you're going to want to bump that To the back of the ball, so there's no loose material that you see in the front you're going to want to bump that to the back of the ball. So there's no loose material up here. All that loose material is going to be back here. Make sure your silicone headband is pulled down a little bit farther than your cap, or at least right on it, and that's it. So when i swim, my entire bun stays dry. Everything up here stays dry. The only part that gets wet is a little bit right here and it's just damp: it's not soaking wet. So that's how you do it if you have long hair and want to keep it dry hope this helps
