Hey youtube: welcome back to my channel. Today'S video is sponsored by swima caps. So if you guys don't know i'm a swimmer, i swim competitively. I'Ve been swimming ever since i was maybe six seven. I don't know, and the only concern that i consistently had while swimming was my hair, which is easily susceptible to weather, damage chlorine damage stuff like that, so i'm gon na give you guys some advice on how to take care of your hair while swimming. If you swim, often, if you swim during the winter summer, doesn't matter and the products that i use that help me with my hair. So the first thing i would recommend for swimming is natural protective styles, which means box braids locks, fola, fulani, braids cornrows, any type of hairstyle that doesn't easily unravel, isn't too heavy. So the first thing i advise you to do is always wear protective style while swimming, whether that be cornrows box, braids, fulani braids. I would suggest those type of protective styles, because you don't want a style that one unravels easily and two isn't too heavy, because when your hair is wet, it's going to be a lot of weight until it dries out. So these are a couple hairstyles that i wore throughout my 2021 swimming season. Um, it was braids locks, fulani braids, and i think that was it. The only thing that i would completely stress whether you're wearing a protective style or wearing your natural hair while swimming, is to moisturize your hair. So, as i showed you, i was wearing braids throughout my swim season and i would use a spray moisturizer now. This is not sponsored by hair garden, but this is the spray that i use. It doesn't really matter what you use as long as it's easy to apply to your hair and since i can't fully get my natural hair, otherwise i'll be using like a leave-in, conditioner or cream, and i use a spray. I spray it onto my roots and my hair. Then i would take an oil. It doesn't matter which oil you use. That'S personally, what i do use either the kaleidoscope oil or i use my certified bella beauty. Oil doesn't matter wild growth, oil, whatever so the second. I come out of the pool i take off my cap head to the showers and i rinse the chlorine out of my hair. I don't use shampoo, i don't use conditioner, i just rinse out the chlorine, that's it and that's. Basically, all it is for hair care. Now, moving on to swimming caps, the second concern that i had was my hairstyles. You guys know that i like to test out a bunch of different hairstyles, sometimes they're extra long, sometimes they're short doesn't matter. The point is, i need my hairstyles to fit into a cap, so i can swim supposed to buy your own swim cap, but for backups they had these school issues. Swim caps were really really thin. Like my last swim season, i think i broke about four or five caps during that one season from trying to get my hair to fit. My coaches would struggle to help me put my hair into my um swim cap and some of my teammates. It was just hard so once i got these swim caps, the issue was completely non-existent anymore. The brand swimming caps was made for natural hair, whether you have locs and afro braids anything it's made for natural hair from summer caps. I'Ve received three different sizes, so the first size that i have is the afro kids midi white. This one is the perfect size for my knotless box braids. I throw my braids back into a bun, and i put this on and i'll insert some videos of me swimming with this specific cap right here, so i ended up mistaking two of the caps in the video for the wrong size. So if you guys hear a voiceover and see the name of the cap on the screen, that's the correct cap. The size of this next cap is the afro mini black, and this one is the afro regular narrow in black the perfect size. For my faux locs, i know that i sound hypocritical recommending lightweight hairstyles to you guys to swim with, but i wanted to do my hair like this and lock. So i did. It was a struggle to swim with that hair. I'M not going to lie which it didn't really matter. I just don't recommend it because it can't slow you down so up to you, but i wouldn't recommend wearing that type of hairstyle. It was really heavy when it was wet and the fourth item that they sent me was their sg3 plain black goggles. Now i wore these goggles, my entire swimming season. They have never broken, which i've broken a couple. Goggles i've broken a couple goggles, and this is what they look like. If you guys want more information about me, swimming i'm, a breaststroker and a freestyler. My go-to events during the swim meet are the 100 300 breasts. Sometimes i do a 50 free and a relay of 50 breasts in a relay or the 400 meter really so yeah. Please please please, if you guys, are interested in shopping with some caps go check out the links in the description. I'M gon na put the separate links to every single product that i showed in the video, and i don't think i have anything else to say. I hope you guys enjoyed the video, that's it.
