Ice cube starting july 10th on cbs, driller and fight tv. That'S right! Every saturday bring the fire with the big three baby. What'S up family ice cube is bringing big three basketball back for a fourth season and they're gon na be at some of the biggest party destinations, including vegas, new orleans and the bahamas. If you want to check it out in person, you can go to big3.com and get yourself some tickets. Otherwise, if you can't make it don't trip got you covered, you can watch it on cbs, triller or fight tv going in fam. You know it seemed like it's been forever that black folks have been fighting the battle of the way our hair grows out of our head very unique situation. So we got this organization called fina, that is the federation for international competitions and water sports, and they denied a swim cap designed to accommodate diverse types of hair from the approval process to become certified to wear for competition swimming. Many people are saying that that is a racist load of guacamole. You know, listen, fam, y'all, think that's racing. You know some people say rules are rules. Remember what they said about chicago rules are rules my thoughts i thought about it. You know i got that. I got that radar for that racism, man, you know and i don't mind calling it out i'll, be the first to call it up, but i i'm not sure that this particular situation is racist. These olympic games uh well professional uh sports period, uh that high level stuff they got all kind of crazy rules, uh that many of us think are insignificant like damn. Why is that a rule? Why is that? Why is that rule? So i think it has more to do with these uh antiquated ass or just ridiculous rules uh more so than it does racism, and do i think that they should allow the cap to be included in competition. Absolutely. I think that there's room for some uh exceptions - and i think this is this - would be a good thing for the sport for them to say. Okay, we do recognize that in these caps that we that we have uh that have we, we have uh certified to be used in our olympic competitions. Uh have limitations for certain hair types and anything that can grow the sport is a good thing. So this cap, that's called soul cap appropriately named soul cap. It should be included in the olympics. People should be able to really wear that cap or any other cat as long as it meets certain specifications and it tucks the hair. It covers the hair right. I think you should be fine, i think, but you know fair, i'm i'm just not convinced that this is some type of uh. You know they denied them because they have some type of uh, it's some type of aerodynamic ploy or something i don't think. That'S the reason they denied it, but i do believe that in the coming uh years that it will be denied, probably as early as the next uh olympics in 2000. What would that be? 24.? I think they'll allow it by 2024, because you know the world is changing. Man and you know it ain't all anglo-saxon. You know it's not all people running around here with straight hand. You know it ain't never been that way, but i'm talking about in terms of uh power and influence, that's changing, and so with that comes uh consideration for those who have been left out, but anyway fam. What do y'all think about this? That'S my position. Do you think it's racist drop, a comment? No more top hey yo! All summer long with the big three and your homeboy ice cube starting july 10th on cbs, driller and fight tv. That'S right! Every saturday bring the fire with the big three baby.

Colby Webster: I live near Tokyo but won’t be attending or watching the Olympics due to their racist tendencies

MadamTButterfly: I wouldn’t be surprised if them folks STEAL the Soul Cap idea, place their name on it, then approve it for swimming.

Alana Weaver: How is a swim cap going to make an Olympic swimmer with Afro or curly hair faster than “other” swimmers with straight hair? It’s a damn swim cap to protect Afro hair from chlorine in these swimming pools.

Cristy Luv: Meanwhile men ( I’m sorry TRANS women)——MEN, are being allowed to compete against actual women in the Olympics??? Smh…… I’m so over this place

honeylocks71: We need our own everything!

Kenneth Bowen: We need our own everything, to hell with the Olympic committee

Phoenix Rain: They can't dominate in these sports like we have so they wanna make up these "rules" as obstacles.

Ariel: They said it was denied because it doesn't fit " "the natural form of the head." I used to swim when I was younger. I can't tell you how many of those damn latex caps I would rip trying to pull over my long hair (even just before the races). It cause so much anxiety for me. I wish I had something like this Soul Cap.

BEATS,BY DIZZY: WE NEED TO SEPERATE OURSELVES AND START OUR OWN SHYT.

Starscream: They can't stand when we're different, so they hate & say that's against the rules. Like Serena Williams & her catsuit. The very next year after they banned her from wearing it, Maria Sharapova wore one same color & everything, & they were in awe of how beautiful she was in it. ‍♂️‍♂️ This shouldn't surprise us at all.

Queen Bee: If it not one thing it's another thing with these people. RACISM is on a all time high.

Miguel Rivera Jr: This could also be a racial business thing. Wouldn't be surprised if they made it legal once Nike, Adidas, etc, starts making these caps instead of just this black owned company.

NaTasha1980ツ: I have these Soul Caps and they're the only caps that fits my head perfectly and protects my natural hair. It doesn't change my swimming ability, been swimming the same for 30 years now. The cap has no super powers, it's just a cap! At this point, I rather boycott the Olympics.

Ms. Reona Love: What are they afraid of? WTH they must think that the swim caps will give us superpowers lol. I feel eventually it will have to be addressed and changed! It's time for the discussion and the change in regards to the rules!

The Alkebulan Trust: Time to start developing our own Olympics and own Athletic Governing Bodies. Simple as that.

Geon Grayson: It was also a rule that made it ok for a group of ppl w power & money to own others and CAPITALIZE off their labor ‍♂️

STEEL RAIN: They must be afraid that we will dominate that sport too.

Earle M: I don't support competing in the Olympics. This is good marketing for the brand Soul Cap though.

Toe’s Tutch: Time for the world to take notice and make sure that the olympics is only 1 shade. The Palelympics, let’s start banning out, sitting back and let Amerikkka come in last in every event

XxThe Awoken OnexX: That is nonsense, and the underlying theme of racism needs to be called here, as sports should not be allowed to get away with this open discrimination against colored athletes

Clarence 98: This is far from racist it goes deeper then that

Lennette Walker: They trying it from every angle...they just can't stand that bgm..they just made this rule up it hasn't been in place

Righteous Brother: Separation is the key, some things can’t be done, that’s why God ordered Moses to separate the oppressors from the oppressed, not equal rights, housing or education—Separation!

albert massaquoi: I starting to believe black people are the chosen people of God

The Squid: It’s time to bring your skills to win for a African nation that will appreciate your talents. And that’s for all athletes and anyone else in business, go get contracts like the Chinese are doing and becoming filthy rich off of Africa’s natural resources.

Dub: A cap would make such a small difference regarding any minor possible advantage if any at all. IMO this is racist.

mkburnett62: They should be able to wear whatever swim cap they want.

Mittie LaMar Weston: Thanks The Most High LORD said My People Who are called by My Name will be Hated by many for no reason.

Lord Darth Deth: These beasts will do whatever pettiness to keep us from thinking we are unique or special. To accept a design that is SPECIFICALLY for us, in their minds, puts us in a class by ourselves... Whereas they would have to use a generic cap... NOTHING special there FOR THEM.

LEGENDz of C: What up, Willie D! I am here for Ice Cube's basketball Big 3. As for the Olympics..... I am just not watching. I wish every black person on Earth, including our basketball teams, would not even go! Shout out to our Americans going. Biles! Get em girl! Ill see yall when you get back! Too much happening, right before it pops off, and it seems to only be towards my people. Very weird, and Im no longer interested✊

Chris Robinson: They should test it on other swimmers and see if it's a advantage. If not let it slide.

Andre Barry: The very heart of Olympics is supposed to be about inclusion.

The Sistah Crystal Show: Hi Willie D. I am saddened that they have denied using a swim cap designed for Afro-textured hair. I hope they will approve it for the next Olympics in 4 years, actually 3 years from now. Kudos to the Soul Cap brand.

Unapologetically African: All Black athletes needs to boycott this Olympics

Dre’finest: Whats up brotha @Willie D. I’ve been watching your channel for a good while now and yes you are of a die breed no no talk you dig.✌️✊ Yes, they should allow it but when it comes to our people they would do anything possible to keep us out because they knows how we are so dominant. That's my take on it I have seen this a thousand times before.

Sandra YancySmith: Just a question Willie D? I have seen these types of swim caps and concluded that they would create a problem if utilized in competitive swimming. When finishing times can be split seconds; anything thing that infers with hydrodynamics is a potential problem. The tighter the fit to the cranium, the less negative drag when breaking the surface tension of the water. Maybe this needs testing and a bit more rethinking. What are your thoughts? It really should not be about race; but the affects upon hydrodynamics and performance outcome.

Red Red: I will not be surprised if sports try to go after braids next.

Donald Poe: Back when I was in high school all the brothers with flat tops had to find the granny caps to get our hair in there... They made your hair look like you had a shark's fin when you were swimming ‍♂️ that was 30 years ago It's wild that they still have this problem...

STEEL RAIN: They're holding the games in Tokyo Japan now I was stationed over in Japan when I was in the Army and it's no coincidence that Japan and white supremacy have sort of a love affair going on.

Farmabrown01: P.S these situations calls for affimitive an critical thinking on the black athletes position in sports an the extra miles they hve to go just to compete with others that don't hve to go the extra miles to be on that same stage,we need to stand serious an not be passive to things like this, becoz we knw in our hearts an see it wit our eyes it's RACIST

NeeNee: I overstand the rules, however, caps of various types are for swimming to help them swim faster without holding extra weight back. They knew she would of won. The Cap Name brand did it.

Glory Mosby Floyd: I really do wish that Our People would just STOP competing in 'their' competitions

Mac Love: Salute to Willie d for promoting ice cube's big 3 sports help support black business owners

Teresa Patterson: I am already Exhausted with everything that is going on with this Olympics and it has not even started ‍♀️.. Wow.. If I am not mistaken another Female has gotten disqualified from the 400.. I seen this last night it came up on my Cellphone.. Damn.. Maybe you can check it out Willie D.

Niecy Is here.: It could be an asthetics issue. Swim speed is taken into account when they design the style of these things. Is it a possible disadvantage to make accommodations in headgear if you need to be fast in the water? That all depends on what accommodations. If the headgear needs to be larger, it'll slow you down. You need to be aerodynamic. You almost need to have a dolphin's head to swim at your fastest. When you're on a team, you don't represent yourself, so they will get rid of you if you make too many waves, and pose a risk to the brand. So, cut that hair and slap that cap on if you are dedicated to your craft.‍♀️

lakerforever1: Wonder how they would feel if all our people decided to sit this out they showing they can do whatever they want to us and we will still bow down to them smh

Derrick Ruffin: Just when thought you've heard it all. Swim caps for African hair. OK if you swim and want to wear a cap to avoid getting your hair wet OK, I can understand that. But protesting the Olympic rules which prohibite the wearing a special cap designed specifically for long or African hair is taking it too far. Simply abide by the rules or don't compete. The nerve of some people. If you can't or won't wear an approved swim cap, don't compete. You'll notice it's black women that have a problem with the rules. It's well known that black women have a problem with allowing their hair to get wet. Actually a slightly larger non smooth surface is more resistant and would act more as a deterrent to speed in water. My recommendation to women of African heritage who plan on competing in the Olympics, is to cut your hair short and wear the Olympic approved swim cap. It would probably be to your advantage.

Mr. ANDERSIN: I agree totally. People are always scared of change period!!!

IAMREANNE: I’m boycotting the Olympics!!! Period….

James Smith: Hey .. Mr Willie D, and everyone else Moniee-Mon, is listening thanks for the info and vedios keep doing what'cha do best God bless you

roger pace: how stupid this rule is, just racist i say, but if i was her or other black athletes i wouldn't go to the Olympics because if you can't peacefully protest or express yourself why go period.

jgreg95: The Olympics are loosing respect, legitimacy , and credibility with the revelations of some of their rules and decision making as of late.

Evrol Gordon: It's the Olympic Swim Committee that need to stop the BS Cap.

drummer boy: Now are they allowing the swim cap to be okayed to not have to deal with it again? Or here you go now leave it alone? To me when someone is quick to say no don't want to deal with something that may make a big deal about it.

AzariW8: Swimming caps been out before I was born, my parents make sure we put one on before we went swimming so my hair can stay dry & the chlorine won’t mess up your hair , you know we got some where to go after swimming.

Efron Solid: A lot of times if you have to question is something racist it usually is.

Mark Murray: Why aren't America standing up for its black athletes.

Harvey Desquare: I be glad when that day come when we can have our own and won't have to be bothered with this nonsense.

Rashad Marsh: Before you can say anything about rules, you have to know what the rules are. We can't just give white people the benefit of doubt.

Stebbie J: We need to stay out these Olympics

King Man: They are finding out they are inferior and its scaring them!!!

D Johnson: Good morning fam I just woke up and I think they are discriminating against black Americans playing in the Olympics this year that's my theory everybody don't think like I think but I think that somebody is calling the shots and they don't want to see nobody win everybody have a happy 4th of July God bless you all please be safe stay happy stay blessed up

Nero Diamante: I've heard the committee is reconsidering their decision

syndi301: Some sisters might have a lot of hair they try and deny us with everything!

John Turner: I'm so done with these Olympics... I'm basically sick of free labor for entertainment . Basically tired of corporations making billions and millions from free labor period...full stop!

Larry Bolton: Everything we come up with or like to do is illegal.

realliving: It's 100 percent racism... I don't even play their "technically" game

Ronald McCall: mr willie d the oppressor always finding ways to be sneaky to the black athletes, while we sleep they up thinking

Shania: I own this cap and it does not give you an advantage. It protects the hair only.

dare to be different: They denied them ,because of the name.

Floyd Banks: Do these caps give the swimmer some sort of advantage? If not, the cap should be allowed.

Alison Boulding: I think "they" are jealous of the idea and might decide to copy the unique brand. What are your thoughts.......

Meet up Speak up: When we don't vote. Others will vote for US. Students must understand those school panels are appointed or voted in.

Deuce D: Need to dead the Olympic as well. Nothing worse then a person or organization that refuses to grow. She dosen't get any benefits from the cap. Sounds like more reaching!

Shocker Capino The Don: Like the champ said you can't stop Greatness. But they'll do everything they can to get up under our shin. We winning not losing. Once we figure this out as a people we can be unstoppable.

Michelle Oliver: We just cannot catch a break. Just another example of the status quo not wanting the REAL competition to be present in the various events across the board in the Olympics. It's only a temporary tactic that will not stem of the inevitable.

Iron Mike: It's THEIR Olympics, and they clearly show us how they feel about us...SOOO...make our OWN. We had our OWN Baseball League at one point. Bluntly put, segregation in some aspects would benefit us more than integration...

Ron Harris: It's not necessarily a conscious ploy. But they need to recognize that certain policies, like our constitution. Were condified and constructed. When Blacks were either excluded, from citizenship. Or not gery common, in the sport. How many black high schools, had swim teams. Or places to train for swimming greatness.

Daniel Johnson: Willie D Live

Iris Douglas: If synchronized swimmers wear CAPS... I need some understanding

Richard: We (Black/African American citizens) once had pride about ourselves, because we don’t try to gain White supremacy approval for living. Now Black people March instead of demanding, we cry when White supremacy tell us no, instead of creating our own businesses, schools, communities and etc…

Knowledge B: Not to changed the subject, but look what they did to the track star Richardson. Michael Phelps was on IG live blowing and still got to compete and bring home the gold!

Yall So Stupid: Good thing they can wear a weave. It's a protective hairstyle designed for aqua efficiency

sighproductions::blqmediaxpress: Simple solution. Create our own. Stop kicking and screaming for devil acceptance!!!!!

Robert Thomas: They been trying to stop us from being ourselves.

Halecia Rowland: call it out willie d as, you should they come up with the rule like that because they don't want to see new changes.

Happy Gilmore: If that cap was designed by Nike it would have been approved.

queenofattraction: shows that this isnt for us. so we shouldn't participate. they need us more than we need them

Reginald Williams: It's time to protest the Olympics

Decimation Jones: I agree that this is BS and the cap should be allowed, BUT.. the cap has a name?LOL.. dude, somebody is trying to get paid from this, “soul cap”

Billy T: It's NOT about the Cap for Black hair, It's about the Black Swimmer taking over in that Sport of Swimming. Sort of like all of the other areas of Sports. Just Saying.

MRJ8531: They can't profit off of the cap. It's like free advertising plus she gone probably win and be getting the spotlight on her and the cap on her head. I bet if they made a deal for profit with the Olympic committee it won't be a problem. Which shouldn't matter but you can also slice it as discrimination too.

Cash Flow Records: They should allow the modification of the caps for African American hair..or prove a valid reason as to why specifications are unacceptable.

Quenleah Hodges: All athletes should withdraw from these roman empire inspired gladiator games. Shut down the games shut down the money=shut down the chewed up grass(b s)

unknown Rose: Boycott The Olympics. never support those who hate

Rduh Tduh: We grow hair…….idk wtf grows from them. Fur? Looks like the same “hair” from animals I’ve seen. Just saying. There is not one animal on the planet that has “hair” like ours. Let that sink in.

Alona James: Willie d, can you speak on the women from Namibia being barred from the games as well?

IAM America Monastic Coptic Community: It’s ok that gone pay for all their fears

Always Me: They Olympic committee might think those caps have magical powers in it because African American men and women are beginning to show a sign of relevance in swimming so they'll try to find something to complain about. They are trying to down play the emerging talent of blacks in swimming.

Ursula B.: I do believe racism is at the heart of this. Just like they used to claim that Black women weren't built for ballet or modeling according to standards set by whytes, this appears to be another way of saying: "You don't fit." If this particular cap costs more, at least they could claim the reason is economic. But, all that would do is prompt her to buy the cap herself if they would allow her to wear it, but they likely won't. Blacks were kept out of tennis, gynastics and golf for the longest time and then dominated those sports. So I feel this is intended to discourage from swimming. Anything that works.
