Welcome better than excellent, so yo, I'm back again this time with a hair video but related to travel. So it's December, right now and as per usual with it's December, a lot of people do what they travel, whether you're going home as a student or you are someone who is deciding that you are with my family. We are going to go on holiday cut. You have natural hair and if you are like me, and you are a level of water, you know that your hair is going to meet some water along the way, which means you are going to be doing a lot of swimming every. Now and again you might be doing it every day or every second day or just quite often, because you are on holiday. So I thought I'll give you some tips on what to do to take care of your hair when you are swimming, but before I do that, I just want to recognize my new studies. I see you and I, like you, and I appreciate you for subscribing. If you haven't subscribed up, I suggest that you join this little intimate family so that I can see you. I can appreciate you and I can your that so, but either way welcome and y'all. Let'S get to it. So here's a little close-up of how my hair looks currently looking very healthy. It is looking healthy. So if you are someone like me and you love to swim, I thought of three tips on how to ensure that you take care of your hair. When you are immersing your head in what tip number one make sure that you have a protective style, please ensure that you have a protective style and when I say protective style I mean like no manipulation style. You don't have to have anything that is like braids or cornrows with fiber, or you know anything, that's that Haiti I mean if you want to do that. Go do your thing, but I'm just saying you don't have to have something that drastic just ensure that you have the lumen manipulation style, something like flat twists or whatever you want to do. But with your head, when you are in water, you hairs everywhere and if you have a low manipulation style, it kind of just puts you here in place. You won't get bothered by all. The words are that much obviously your hair will shrink, so it might not be that much of a hindrance anyway, but you know it's just a suggestion. Having no manipulation, stuff tip number two before you get inside any water, please make sure that you condition your hair. Now let me explain, I'm not talking about conditioning and washing it, and you know, and all of that no no, I just mean put conditioner in your hair people, whichever conditioner that you like put conditioner, and the reason why this is important is because your hair is Going to come into contact with chlorine, chlorine is not the best chemical for here, it's especially natural here, because our hair is actually very fragile. So get yourself, some conditioner put conditioner all over your hair and ensure that before you actually go dunking yourself in water turn. Your hair is actually protected with some conditioner, so the reason why it's important to condition you're here before you. Well, it is a Sunday, after all, people are singing randomly anyway. The reason why it's important to condition hey before you get inside any pool or you are going to be swimming in the ocean, it's to ensure that you coat your cuticles. So this will ensure that it creates a barrier between your own hair strands as well as the chlorine, and this is very important, as I said naturally, is very fragile. So I would recommend that instead of playing yourself just ensure that you protect your natural hair last tip get yourself a swimming cap. So there is this brand called swimmer. They are Cape Town based and they basically created swimming caps to basically help people with natural hair. Now, if you know I mean as Naturals, our here is big its horse. It'S thick, dense and normal swimming caps that you find with other brands, usually do not fit or sit that well, because they usually come in a very small size. What I love about the swimming cap is that they come in different sizes, so I have a blue cap that I have been using for over a year now. I actually bought it last year before my trip to Thailand, and it is amazing because I okay, I didn't - have braids or any protective style there, but my hair is quite big and it fits so well. In fact, I was a size bigger. So then, whenever I have a protective style, it still fits quite well, and that's really one thing that I love about. These caps is that they have different sizes and it ensures that if you have braids or if or or if you have unlocks, you still have a great cap, then it's actually protecting your hair. So those are basically my three tips for enjoying your holidays, but also protecting your head. Do not neglect your hair when you are out there living your best life cuz January is coming and you don't want to be cutting you it because you please. I hope you liked this video and please don't comments or predicted like, and I will see you on my next video. My nails look terrible. I know, don't judge it's not a pie.
