1960S Sex Kitten Bardot Inspired Hair - Vintagious

Try out this easy Bardot Inspired 1960s Hairdo and add a bit off Va - Va Voom to your weekend!

Hair isn't the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool 'do' can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?

Welcome to Vintagious, here, in my own litttle corner of Youtube I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.

I don't have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it'll be Edwardian hairstyles that I'm all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I'll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!

I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit - and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

Hi my name's Leslie welcome to vintage Esther. I'M gon na be showing you how to create this 1960s inspired Brigitte, Bardot, sex, kitten, esque, look, it's very casual, very messed up, but at the same time super super glamorous and synonymous with that 60s style. There'S a great Dolly Parton pop quote about it, taking a load of money to look this cheap and this look is kind of the time equivalent. It takes about 10 minutes to look like you've just thrown together a look in seconds, but I think that's awesome. It'S a great look and it's really wearable. I hope you like it. The idea of this stylist should be nice and volumous of the roots, curly flicky or wavy at the end. So I'm going to take my one-inch clipped, curler and curl sections of my hair upwards. Around my head to ear level only now, I'm desire a wavy finish to this. Look. If you want a tighter curl at the ends, then use a smaller curling, Tong or indeed smaller pieces of hair, and that's what you will get once the Tong has heated your hair release it and clip with a hair pin for cooling. It'S important to set the curl because you're going to be fiddling about with your hair after you've taken the curls out, so they will drop somewhat. So you want to make sure they are as curly as possible at this point so spray and clip to cool I'm going to go around the whole of my head in this fashion clip to cool, and then I went to make breakfast and after about 15 minutes. They were cool, and this is me taking them out. Each curl was rolled upwards, as I said, and that would give this really nice flicky feeling, especially if you've got layers to your hair. This will go mazing once kind of one length at the moment, you're going to separate the front section of your hair. So this is your bangs section or your fringe section and just clip it away. So that's from the top of your head down to each ear pop it away and then you're going to begin to back home from where you've just made a parting. For your fringe section back to behind your crown, I'm back combing in one to two inch sections focusing on the root and making this nice C shape. Flicked motion to create lots of nice height and volume at the roots, I'm using just the Denman brush here, but you can use a back combing brush a normal brush, a paddle brush a comb, whatever you've got, I'm giving it a spray before and after because I Really want the volume in this style, it's kind of a key element of the style is to have the volume spray backcomb spray all the way through right, the way down across the back of your head to just under your crown, so you're going to get volume Throughout the top, once you're finished, it's gon na look big and you're gon na see the back combing, so you're gon na want to use the side of your brush bristles just to smooth back that back combing to make it no eye on invisible. Give it a spray if you want to as well go ahead and get your bandana or your head scarf of choice and lay it just across that parting that you've made and tie it at the back now. Can you see how much those curls have fallen out? Already in this actually what I want, I want it to look, messed up, casual and just kind of roll in the hay crazy. I'M going to release the front section of my hair and I decided to part this just off-center. You can either tuck this section of hair behind your ears or you can tuck it loosely behind the bandana. What, however, you see fit whatever suits you best, I'm just pinning mine loosely just underneath my my ears. My ears were a bit bright red today. I don't know why I thought I'd give him a cover up and just lifting up the backcombing there and running some hairspray into my hands and then just trying to separate those waves and curls a little bit. That'S it stun look how flick it is. So pretty. Thank you so much watching. I really hope you liked the video.
