Ballet Bun - Tutorial For Securing Long Hair - No Hairspray Or Products

I have waist length hair so I thought I'd share how I put my hair into a quick ballet bun. I usually hold my head slightly forward so it went a little wonky while trying to keep in camera shot. This definitely isn't the neatest I've ever done it but it's still very secure.

I use 1 x hair bobble, 1 x hair net and 2 x hair pins. I don't use any hairspray or other products as I don't want to have to wash my hair after every class because a) it's unnecessary and b) my hair takes ages to dry.

STEP 1: Brush hair and put into a tight ponytail.

STEP 2: Start turning hair around bobble, pinning as you go, with the first pin going in immediately where you started turning. This keeps the bun flat and stops the middle popping out.

STEP 3: When you get to the end of your hair, tuck the ends in and secure with another pin.

STEP 4: Using wide pins, secure your hair top, bottom, left and right. Squeeze the arms of the pins together so they spring outward and stay in place once in your hair. Arm towards your head but don't end up with any digging in. Shake your head to check bun is secure.

STEP 5: Wrap your hair net over your bun, probably twice, and tuck the leftovers under your bun.

STEP 6: Use pins in the four corners of your bun to hold net in place.

Hope my tips have helped!

Hi I've got my hair down today because I'm going to be showing you how I do a valley bun for my long hair, I've got waist-length hair and I don't like washing it particularly often, so I don't want to have to use hair spray or hair gel Or any other products to keep my bun up um, so I'd be just be showing you what technique I've learned that works for me because well, my hair was shorter. I'D get away we're just tying it up in a bubble and doing a bun that way, but I said it's got longer, it's just go ahead and just falls out and I have to keep putting it up after a wreck since eyes, just fine coming in a Ponytail, how a plat a platter and a face when you're turning and it just gets caught up in your straps or you get it trapped under your armpits. It just gets in the way. So there is a reason, a by abundance of traditional hair style and I'll show you what works for me. You don't need a lot of stuff. I use a single hair bubble. It use about a dozen hair, pins and you'll want pins. Rather than grips and a single hair net and you'll want hair net rather than the bun net, just because there's so much bigger if you've got a lot of hair, a bun that is not going to wrap around here. So just get a big one and you can wrap it around several time if it's too long first thing to do is brush your hair and get it in a ponytail, okay to make sure you're paying hell's nice and smooth and yeah just place it where you Want to I mean a lot: people like having quite high ponytails, already prefer the low, and so that, when you incur actor, when you cut, you actually pup your bun at the base of your head. So I'll do it by here. Just make sure it's nice and secure, we don't want any creepy ponytails and then we're gon na immediately start spinning and pinning so exactly where you first started. Spinning. That'S where your first pin needs to go in, because if you don't get the middle secure, it's just gon na pop out and yeah, then your bun is not gon na lie flat, even that, like you've, got toilet paper on your head instead, so yeah these pin. Don'T really to sort of hear it there's to make it keep its place and then you've got any ends left over to tuck them in the bottom. Then it's where I might do another pan up set up there. This isn't very neat okay. So now we've got the vague shape of the bun in order to keep in place. We want north south, east and west and we're going to be using beers pin. So it's all about like worn-out, broken ones, but if you squeeze them together, when you put them in, they will pop out wide and now, if you keep your bun Rieu, really zookeeper, I'm frontier this my head up, I know I'm failing hearing whining in the background. My dog I'm ignoring and again we want to push the Bund the pins towards a head, but might like into your head. It shouldn't ever be painful. I mean that feels nice and secure, and then we would just cover it with a bun net. Again, it's a hair, a nap. I still call it a bug net. Oh, hey, Missy! This one's got a bit of a hole in it, so we were just use the other end and stop there. I left the ground. All of your hair. I mean it doesn't really matter um and then any leftovers again just give em somewhere and then, since you've done the four corners we're gon na go deal with it before diagonals. Now now you have it. That is my ballet bun. It'S all smooth. I shouldn't need any spray anything I don't have any bits down here that need tucking in buttocks makes my hair doesn't how many layers no say yeah. That'S what my hair looks like it's in front. There I hit up was helpful. It'S just a quick way to get my hair up and out my face when I'm dancing - and it's don't think about it again. This is my dougie he's been doing a whining, so hey I heard I was helpful, see you see him
