What about your girl T? One of you guys asked me to explain how I fit my hair under wig now truth be told because I primarily wear like big kinky curly wigs. When I do wear them. I don't really have too much of a problem disguising do. Do braids or do do twists underneath the hair is big, so it will conceal any major lumps and bumps there's really nothing special going on underneath there. But since I have been experimenting with other wig styles recently, you know like more straight bish styles and things like that, and I do need my hair to be more flat sometime. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but I'm pretty sure I have, but while I can understand objectively how to cornrow the execution, the execution is just not there anytime. I try to cornrow. It looks super tragic like real, real sad. I think it's primarily because I don't blow dry, my hair and my hair is just too shrinky-dinky kinky for me to be able to master the art of actually executing the cornrows, even though I understand how to do it. That leads me to one of two ways that I tend to go to, so I either will instead of cornrow. I will flat with because even my flat foot things not great, but it's just a lot easier and more manageable for me to do that than it is to do cornrows. You guys got a glimpse of that in one of my recent videos. I can't quite remember which one, but if I do during the process of editing and uploading a link it here, so you guys were able to see just basically just straight back flex. What'S that I do, and if I don't do that, because that is rather time consuming for me and it's just kind of pain in the ass, my much easier way is to do basically what I call piggyback braids. I didn't come up with that term. It'S just a term. I think I spotted somewhere on the internet. It'S the perfect way to explain it. It'S basically just Platts, where you start platting from the front of your head to the back, and you can do. However, many rows you one of them lately. I'Ve just been doing two one on each side of my head, where you braid a braid in the front, then you take that braid and braid it into another braid behind it, and then you take that braid and you braid it into another braid behind it. So you're basically making. However many plaques you want from front to back and from across your head, but because you're braiding each break down it into the braid that it's that's behind it. It get to get your hair a lot flatter than just patting a bunch of loose Celie braid flopping around on your. So that's how my hair is currently - and I wore this short wig today, just to kind of show you guys that, even if you can't cornrow, you can use various methods and techniques to get your hair flat enough to get away with wearing a short you do. Like this, the real key to this - and this is especially if I'm only doing the two sections one on each side of my head - is to make sure that my hair is as wet as possible when I'm putting those braids in because with my hair texture. It'S kind of like I don't have any hair if I do braids or twists when, when my hair is very wet like just fresh out of the shower. This was something I discovered kind of the hard way when I would try to style my hair when it was still really wet, and I noticed that my twists would always look super sculpey and thin. But if I actually want to do twists that I want to wear as twists and look cute, I have to let my hair and drie of it because it doesn't. It doesn't really swell enough if I put the twists in while it's wet. My hair looks kind of like stringy and pinned when it's the way, but letting it dry a bit will cause it to swell and pouf and look a lot more full. So I use a string, enos and finished to my advantage and that's when I'm really able to kind of like pull my hair totally not tightly because you guys know. I have struggle edges as it is. But I use the wetness of my hair and the fact that my hair kind of vanishes, while it's wet to my advantage to help kind of stretch it and pull it flat as I'm braiding, and it also helps keep the braids rather tight and compact. As opposed to trying to braid on damp or dry hair, if I try to do this on my hair, while it was dry or even still Just Dance, those braids would be a lot thicker and juicier, which is not what I want. Learn China sitting under a wig, so that's really the only takeaway here, it's not like I'm doing anything special in terms of like fitting my hair under a wig with the types of braids or anything that I'm doing like anyone can do plats or piggyback class. It'S the best that I'm doing it on freshly washed, still very wet hair, and even in this demo that I mean the wig I'm trying on it's not the same wig, I'm wearing right now. I just didn't feel like wearing that wig today, but I'll just turn around really quickly. So you guys can see that there aren't any like really insane looking lumps or bumps in my head from the two braids because again as you piggyback each braid you're going to win it with just one braid on each side in the end. And it doesn't really look crazy, at least not maybe I'm tripping, and that is it. That is how I fit all of my hair under wigs most of the time. Sometimes I will put in the extra time and effort to do flat twists and maybe one of these days I will actually learn how to cornrow properly, but for the most part, this is the easiest fastest way for me to get my hair flat enough to wear Wigs, if I know I'm going to be waiting it for a while and with me trying to grow out my shade side. Officially, I've been wearing a lot more wigs lately because when I actually try to style my own hair, it's pretty hard not to look insane and when you've got like three or four inches of hair over here and then like long hair everywhere else, and that's it. So thanks so much for watching and I will see you guys in the next video buh buh nappy-headed oliveira

Aisha Soleil: I'm legitimately SHOOK right now. Even seeing your method, I can't believe it. Lol. You have ALL THAT HAIR under that wig. ALL THAT HAIR. You're a wizard, T!

Can: Finally! someone with thick-long 4c hair, now I know it is possible. I can braid, however, cornrowing my hair has always been a struggle for me because I always experienced breakage and tangles. I did not want to apply heat because it would be counterproductive to the health of my hair. This is a fantastic way to minimize damage and time. I could never really grow my hair long enough because of the damaging braiding process. I believe my hair will grow and become more healthier with this method. Thank you for this video!

Lauryn Wright: now i dare one of yall to try and tell me that black girls aren't magic. EXPLAIN THIS THEN...

Jasmine Sundar: This pixie cut wig is my favorite look on you! So pretty !

Daethaqt3000: You Slayed me and gave me LIFE with this Angela Bassett moment. If you were still in the City we would have to do brunch in this look. You are truly a Goddess!

Lovely Genise: this is exactly how i put my hair under wigs as well! its fast and easy

Cecily Erker: I don't know how I ended up on this part of YouTube but I am impressed

CaroDame: This wig is like Hermoines handbag o.0

Mishele Clipper: Thank you! I have been trying to figure out how to wear short wigs and minimize lumpy knots. This pleases me. I will be getting my wig this weekend thanks to you!

Virgo8270: Girl we are the same because I can't do cornrows for the life of me lol

KIMBERLY NECOLE: I love this! This is also how I wear my waist length hair underneath my units. I crisscross and tuck my two braids to get an even more flat look.

Its Ya Boi V: This showed up in my recommend list, and was actually not disappointed. To fit that much hair under that pixie wig and not end up with a bulky mess is pure magic. Ladies with natural hair, I don't envy the maintenance, but damn you do some amazing things with such beautiful hair. Keep slayin'!

tammy kelly: You go girl!!! Thanks for that great tip!

elliethousand: No!!! I thought my hair was too long for braids under my wig and was always cornrowing. I had no idea this was even possible. Thank you thank you!

beanhill: This is a very pretty look! ♥️

rae capital: *Loved the video and really appreciate that insight. I can't cornrow to save my life! I've been trying to figure out successful ways to fit my huge natural hair under a wig. I've been so reluctant to try. This video gives me hope. Thank you. New subbie here .*

Magnificat: This wig looks very cute on you. Classy and stylish.

Riquisima: Holy cow, your hair is beautiful. I have flat, stick-straight red hair and I always loved curly/natural hair. I love that short wig as well, it suits you just a much as the long hair!

An Email: Wow..I was looking for tutorials for making wigs look more natural and found this..wow..serious skill. My hair isn't this long either, so I feel pretty good about giving it a shot..thanks for this vid!

Laurie Palmer: Your natural is GORGEOUS! I can't even fathom how long you have been letting it grow to get that length! Wow! So beautiful

roxanneworld11: looks great!..and no need to struggle trying to do your own corn rows since you found other methods that work just fine..thanks for the tips!

Zee: OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS. I fucking suck at cornrowing hair and I have a pixie wig I wanna wear too! Thanks Jojoba ❤️

Gameela Wright: I don't know HOW it happened, but your video popped up in my recommended list EXACTLY when I needed it! My hair is not as long as yours, but I have a LOT of it and I want to start incorporating wigs. Thank you SO much!

Paulette Ora: Wow! This was so informative...I've been trying to figure out how to do this like forever! Thank you!

AkirSenrab: This video is literally a lifesaver. I have a couple of wigs I've been wanting to wear, but I'm not the best braider either. Now there is hope lol!

Island Girl Ruby: Your short wig is the boom, you look amazing!!!!!

Ella Nugent: I'm hella shook & I love how you keep it real girl!!

Kaiea Rohlehr: Cute look. Thanks for the tip. When I finally GET hair (big chop 3.5, tapered cut) I'll try this technique.

Em Gee: my hair is not nearly as textured as yours, but I've always struggled with the curl/volume/density of it. Your videos are always so informative!! Thank you!!

Oonagh72: You have a perfect face for short hair

aetl100: I have short short hair but this video has inspired me to pull out my Mommy wig again. It's been a long time. Great video.

Shieva: Yeah you actually did a good job hiding all that hair! That's my issue with short wigs and my hair cause it's very thick so I have to do small cornrows to make it fit.

Debbie Ebbiebobebbie: Looks amazing, great method!

Antoinette Johnson: wow! Your real hair is beautiful! I had trouble getting my cornrows to lie down as well under wigs but corn rowing it semi-wet seems to work for me. If I do it while wet, I seem to have a lot of breakage I think because it's so much easier to do them tightly when very wet. Still works! Thanks for the video! Subscribing now!

Jennifer Brown: Oh my god. I have been SEARCHING for a method that would work for me (also terrible at cornrows; I can do them, but NEVER flat enough and they take forever), and I'm so stoked because I think this will! THANK YOU for sharing this method!

ahub87: I have thick hair and do not know how to cornrow. I always end up paying someone to do a quick, loose (I am extremely tender headed so I don't do any kind of "tight") braid down. You are a life saver

Cheese: this is literally magic, I have thin straight hair and I have a hard time putting wigs on and making them look natural

MsFredericks: I know your pain!!! I watch video after video and still end up with struggle braids!!! I'm definitely trying the piggyback method next time!

Solar Students: You go lady! It looks good! I do it all the time. Then come home snatch the wig off. And let my family my natural long hair underneath the wig.

Miza_: The struggle of the cornrow !! I feel the same!

Naturally High: OMG your hair is so similar to mine and I struggle with this! *keeps watching attentively* Thank you! <3

Mandy Jones: That pixie cut looks good on you! I enjoy wearing both long and short wigs as protective styles also.

K Lomax: That wig is EV-VAH-REE-THING!!! Looks fantastic on you!

AJ's Inspired life: You are stunning! Every look is perfect on you!

Chimdi Ihezie: Helpful! I have to expand my curly wig collection so I don't have to worry as much.

RogerMusic: Her skin looks amazing!

BrandySherray: I have the same "wet hair" advantage as you. Thanks for the tip. Also.... going to bite your wig style. Been looking for a cute shorty hair hat :) Thank you.

Anthony: Your hair is magic. It looks so pretty and like you can actually do something with it. My hair is way too flat to move it around like that.

CoCo: Cool! I do a similar method to yours and my hair is near tailbone length. I can't braid to save my life so flat twists and bobby pins save my life.

Kiana Archer: Love this short wig. So cute.

Ladyssi: First time watching you and I must say it looks really natural...no joke I saw the title "waist length afro" clicked on the video and was genuinely confused when I saw a beauty with really short hair! Gonna go check out your other vids now~

LaLabutterfly: This wig is sooo pretty on you!!

chris Allen: So smart! I may give wigs a try, with these tips. Getting my hair, which is long like yours, under them is just bonkers. I already have a huge head; I don't need the added bulk under a wig...so I gave up on the practice. Also, like you, I cannot cornrow but inexplicably, I CAN French braid! That's just a reverse cornrow, so I can't even explain myself, lol. Anyway, thank you very much and I've just subscribed because I think I'll get a lot out of your videos! And I like your style.

xrinshot: I am so amazed by natural hair videos

Tryinnosaurus Rex: Wow, I honestly thought, through most of the video, you were talking about how you USED to fit your hair under wigs until you cut it short... amazing. That short hair looks awesome on you btw. Is there no way you could get a similar style cutting your own real hair? It looks great on you... AND you would no longer struggle with hiding all that hair

Lillian Smith: I feel like I've entered the Twilight Zone of hair secrets. I have the same hair issue with wigs and I also noticed the only way to deal without adding heat is by having my hair soaked while braiding it.

Snail Art: It looks incredible. I wouldn't have known your hair was that long at all, the wig just looks so good. This was some kind of witch craft.

Miss Overcomer: this looks amazing I love it short hair really suits you

Michelle Doolittle: This woman is so incredibly beautiful. Makeup/no makeup equally stunning.

BizMarkie91: Wow, you're so beautiful, naturally too. A doll. ♡ Not all ppl can pull off short hair like that, but you definitely do. Gorgeousness all around here.

lauren smith: you are stunning!! your natural hair is beautiful as well and your wig. I think you can rock anything!

Randomly Kimberly: Ms! That is amazing! I can not cornrows on wet and/or curly hair. It just tangles up and becomes a mess

Hyde: Love this fun short wig !!

TheOtherSideOfAlex: oooooohhh my lordy your long afro is just glorious. about 3 years ago I had my hair layered and down to my belly button, tried to get some highlights 2 shades lighter than my nearly black hair and she fried my hair! so I have been growing it out ever since and have gotten every centimeter of damaged hair off of my head. my hair is approaching bra length and whenever I see women with long luscious natural hair it just makes me never want to do anything to my hair but trim it ever again! I learned my lesson for sure.

choirkitty: OK I am completely blown away by this!!! and I would have never guessed the short hair you're rocking in the video was a wig! that style is absolutely beautiful on you :). great video! :)

Qanea: thanks for this. also your beautiful and this pixie wig looks amazing on you.

Scandi Snowgirl: I loved the goofy smile you gave when you did the shots of you an hour later with the scarves still on your hair. Cracked me up!

Lovely_Ls: Thank you for this video. I like how you explain things, informational and nice to listen to.

MsChicoro: Watched this just to get a glimpse of that long , beautiful hair loose and free! It looks so dark, rich and moisturized. There are little diamond bits of sheen that sparkle and glint from the light when you move that lovely hair.

Bimbette: I love your short hairstyle! Getting Betty Boop (or the actress she was riped off from whose name escapes me at the moment) vibes from the side. I'm also jealous of your wig wearing prowess.

TheMurderShow: I'm going to try this! My hair is noooowhere near as long as yours, but it's superrr thick. I normally braid mine, this looks so much quicker! Thanks for sharing!!

Jazzzzz: You look SO also good in this hairstyle, oh my god. This suits your face so well

Callie K: I just wanted to say that you are very beautiful with your natural hair and no make up as well as your wig on and make up done. I can tell your beauty comes from the inside out.

sil_aros: You look so good with that short wig, love it!

Nisey: Yeah, you can tell it's a bit bulky in the back. My advice for long hair... try parting hair into two sections and using a rubber band at the very nape of the neck. Crisscross the ponytails or fan fold them to keep an even shape of your head. Then place a stocking cap to secure in place. It works for me much better than cornrows.

Kibibi La Vie: Great job! I love the short wig on you.

Sarah Senior: I'm the same way with cornrows! In theory I'm good, but in execution I'm trash

Yamilah J: Omg thank u I have very long rib long 3b volumized hair and I love wearing wig but I can’t conrows for my life this helped alot thank u btw u have very beautiful hair ❤️❤️❤️

uyukyp: Omg I'm gonna try this piggyback braids!!! ❤️

Jenna: This is amazing o.O I am a white woman and I think it is absolutely awesome what skills you Ladies have to Do your hair. The short hair looks sooooooo good ♥

Crystal Linnea: You just helped me so much! New subbie here! I have WL hair and I want to try short wigs to give my hair a break.

racqueld100: I always learn something new when I watch your videos ☺ I've been looking for something like the rollers you put on the ends of your braids/twists.

QuèénT0810: you just answer my question and thanks for sharing and I'm about to start wearing more wigs also I love it

Grammy Vulture: Thanks for sharing this. That wig looks Super cute.

Lavish Jules: Ok, I've done something similar & ppl think I'm tricking them with a short wig. I haven't used that term, my mom called it something else. This gives me hope that if I continue to grow my hair I could still do this but might need a little help because my arms get SO sore!

Ourdayli: I love the way you look with the short hair wig you have on now! Short hair really suits you well!

Ariam Richardson: You look amazing with short hair and your make up is gorgeous.

Bonnie Nash: Firstly you are stunningly beautiful! Secondly your hair is incredible!!!

Alanah Q: Omg, I am a white girl with (mildly, compared to you) curly hair but I am just obsessed with watching your videos. I am so mesmerised and amazed at how much work you put into your hair. I love learning all of these things you do. Big respect for you!

The Unplanned Life: Your makeup here is so pretty! This s by far my favorite makeup look on you.

Charles Hsu: Thats amazing that you can hide all that hair under that short wig! Thats so cool!

Maggie Ramirez: I watched cuz I was curious but I stayed because your whole "look" looks fucking cute. couldn't resist. keep slaying queen ~

Voodoo Punchie: Your hair is amaaaaazing! How long does it take to dry naturally? I don't have long hair anymore but I couldn't put it in a ponytail or it would stay wet for a day or two, I can't imagine what it would have been like in braids, whew!

HoneyMFGunz: I love that pixie wig! ❤️

RyuukiCho: The pixie wig you are wearing suits you so nicely <3

simply happy: Amazing! Seems like a magic trick. Skill and/or physics. You are beautiful before wigs and make up and after. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely Bones: You are so beautiful, sis. Inside and outside. Thanks for the tutorial. I will try it.

ArtLoveMoneyRepeat: girl, I missed black girl 101 for cornrows too.

Memosne: You're a magician. You look great in both wigs! =) I'm terrible with wigs...I just ball my hair up, jam it under the wig and hope for the best. =___= It is not the best.

SCYLLA: this was the most relatable video i've seen for 4c hair make more videos!!
