Diy Dying A Synthetic Wig Sharpie Method!!!

Everyone, my little snow angels, my little YouTube followers, my YouTube family, I'm showing you today. As you know you, I love my wigs and I'm showing you today a DIY project on how to dye your wigs, the Sharpie method. It'S really easy! You just have to let it sit for 24 hours. I have the assistance of my handsome husband to help me figure this out, so we're going to try it together and see how it works. Stay tuned, alright guys. So what you do. Is you, oh, very good. You take that part out. Let that pull that out. First, maybe, and then you take that tip from the top a little tip that pulls right out. You put that in here boom little tip in there is it in there. Okay, the whole things out a little bit more. I'M a sharp knife and we're going to cut to get to the ink so you're going to slowly slowly cut down the center unless, if you're cutting a vanilla bean pot or something and you cut all the way down slice, it all the way down. Just like that, nice and slow slice, it slice it get all that ink open, and then we put it with it slice all the way through we put it in our spray bottle. What I'm doing is I'm using two colors, because I kind of want a lavender pink go just like that, and now we do the pink one slice, slice slice watch your fingers baby, oh yeah, just like that nice and easy boom very good. You don't know that up so then. What we do is we take rubbing. Alcohol and honey knows what I want him to pour it to not a lot, because the less you put in the stronger your colors going to be so we'll just put it into right about that second dot, that you see there perfect yeah! That'S enough like sad! We don't need spittle Emma, we just let it sit and we we let this sit. I almost let's do this dress, we let this sit for 24 hours and then I'll show you what we do with the wig äj -- thanks, honey know what alright guys. So this is after um an hour, I would say sitting on the alcohol, so you can imagine after 24 hours what this will look like. Okay guys, so it's been 24 hours later and we have this beautiful, pink, lavender kind of mix. Color I put two different. We put two different colors in there, so kind of want to see what kind of color it's going to give us. So this is ready to be used. Our little concoction of our homemade wig dye is ready to be sprayed on my wig we've kind of made a makeshift little little dissection dyeing station. Here we took a basket. I think this is a mop cleaner. That I had - and I just put my little wig head on there and and also when I forgot to mention - is that you need to use a wig that is blond in color or grey or white or any of those colors. Obviously this wouldn't work on a wig. That'S this color up here the root. We could not die that pink. It has to take to the lighter the lighter blonde color, alright guys. So I just started spraying. You want to saturate each strand of hair and you can kind of go in with your fingers and kind of pull it there. I don't want it to be too vibrant, so really mine doesn't have to be exactly like a super bright pink. That'S not the color that I wanted. I just kind of wanted something subtle, because I don't foresee myself wearing bright, pink wig but anyway, so we're just going to continue to spray her. Just like that, and then we're going to get in there and dig in there with our fingertips and get this color all the way saturated through all the strands of hair. Even the bottom part down here after it air dries we'll rinse it out and then we'll see what we got so stay tuned for your DIY wig dyeing journey, alright guys so from here we're just going to let Melanie saturate in her lovely sharpie and alcohol. She smells like a drunk because what she smells like she smells like she's, been drinking all day and laying in a pile of just vodka, alright guys, so it's been 24 hours later. This is exactly how I wanted this to look. I was hoping that it didn't come out to be too pink. I just wanted some spots to be pink and almost like an ombre from the top to the bottom in a pink. So I'm really really happy with the results of my wig and now. What we're going to do is we're going to just rinse her out and we're going to winter on cold water, very important and then we're going to let her air dry and then once we. Let her air dress, they will they sure all right there. She is nice and rinsed. There isn't any more pink coming through. I'M so happy that it's just on the tips all right guys. So what I'm doing here is. I took my Drybar blow dryer, which I love this little jar, it's so amazing, and what I'm doing is I'm just trying to get most of the moisture out of the wig after letting it air dry. There is still quite a bit of moisture love because I think it's a super thick hair cut and the super thick wig, so I'm just kind of blow drying in a downward motion using the nozzle to kind of separate the strands of the synthetic wig. As I go along, I'm doing the other side now making sure that we don't have any moisture before we hit that with the flat iron. That would be terrible. It would melt like melt right off so we're just going through here still getting with that moisture out. Continuing to blow-dry it, I think it gives it beautiful volume too. When you blow-dry wig, I found that it kind of takes a shine out as well. It'S a little trick of mine takes the shine out, so it doesn't look so Wiggy when up she lost her. Oh girl, that back on all right, so we got her back on she's straight now. Now we're going to continue to blow-dry on the pool setting on low we're going to just finish up really quickly with the rest of that moisture and I was and excited to using a bow Jack then reason. But I'm going back and forth, and next I think here I'm going to take a round brush there. We are we're going to gently brush brush through the wig making sure there are no tangles making sure that it's not frizzy, I'm kind of going gentle, because I don't want her to lose her hair again. So I'm trying to be real, respectful of shaquita. That'S what her name is Chiquita, that's the girl, that's holding the my wigs. I love her got her for five bucks at a wig store and it was a deal anyway. So I'm turning her around, and this is where I want you to see. Not only the beautiful wig but also her caddywhompus eyelash there we go look at that. Who did that? That looks so sad. Look at her. She has a sad eye. Poor thing got glue all in her eyeball and oh, my god, I got ta fix that. I got ta just rip that out. Oh girl, push that back push that back that wig on straight boom. There we go okay, so I brushed her out. I am super super super happy with the way it turned out is just enough pink, like I said so now. What I'm doing is. I am having my flat iron on the lowest setting, which is about 210, maybe degrees. It doesn't really have it on my flat iron, but I know it's at the lowest and I'm kind of holding it down and kind of straightening it in small one-inch sections all the way down, smoothing it down with my hand as I go down and kind of Framing her face with it, I'm going to do that all the way down throughout the whole wig. Then here I'm taking a little bit of my powdered concealer. This is my translucent setting powder and I'm taking an angled dipping that in there and going over that center part with a scalp be covering that up with concealer and that's the powder form. It just looks a little bit more natural in my opinion and then taking my finger and kind of blending it out hello, beautiful people, guess what I'm so excited, because my pink wig came out so amazing. Can I just say: can I just say that, because you all know how I feel about the f-word and it adds punctuation, so look at how gorgeous that this turned out with the sharpie method? Can you see that? Can you see the beautiful pink strands? Oh, my god, I'm like dying so we're going to put her on and if I'm looking over here, it's because I have a mirror here so I know, got to know how to put this on. So I don't look crazy, but here we go so here's the part that I remember. I showed you that I put the concealer on here where we did that earlier. Okay, so what we're gon na do is we're going to push that back. Let'S see if I can get this get this on right. I think this is a side part. Let'S go a little bit over like that. Okay, we're going to brush brush this out again. This is an a-line um cut bob! Oh, my god was just a little bit of pink. Can you guys see that? Can you see how amazing that this wig looks? I mean I was going to throw this one out, because I did not like the color at all, but I mean this. I can rock with right. This is like so cute and Yona, I mean I'll, say it make sure my make sure my widow's peak isn't showing and then again remember I told you we could do the hairspray thing, but I feel like this is just perfect. The way it is it's so cute and it's so I think that's about right there, but I love this wig right. Isn'T it so I'm looking at the camera or myself in the phone, but I think it's so pretty. It came out so cute. I mean for just a few dollars in sharpies and then time because it takes takes a while because you know you have to let it sit and then you have to come back and then you have to check. But I am like that. Oh my god. It'S so pretty it is so pretty right, like I'm dying, I'm dying. I want to wear this out right now and I even did I used my Modern Renaissance palette for my for my makeup so, like you know, everything's, pink and matchy, and I seriously love this wig like I love it so much anyway, guys, like I said rock Your wig rock your life, you don't like a wig they're, not that expense change it up, mm-hmm so cute. I love it. So today's Do It Yourself. Wig color appreciate the cut and the color love it. So much so you guys do it? Try it if you are a wig lover like me, try it out the sharpie but anyways. If I were to do another one, I think I would try the ink method. Sharp and Method is good but, like I said it's, it takes forever for everything to sit in and it's like a three day process and I'm like microwaves.
