Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio, one here to empower and inspire your wig journey. Today i have a very exciting video for you. As you know, envy has expanded their color palette to include 12 new rooted colors. This is very exciting. We'Ve been waiting for this from envy for a long time. I have six of those colors to present to you today, so we're going to do a full guide, as well as how to choose coming up of the six styles in these new colors. Today, two of them were sent to me by wig studio one so that i can present them to you in this review. The other four i purchased with my own funds from wing studio, one all of the links will be below in this video, so go below the video locate, the link, so you can go out and take a look at all of the new rooted colors by envy. We invite you to shop at wig studio, one if you have any questions for us. Please reach out to support at wigstudio1.com this new color expansion by envy is going to be available on their 25 most popular styles, there's 12 new rooted colors among them are blondes going into maybe a light brown, a dark brown there's a red in there and a Silverish gray so be sure to check those out. All of that information will be below now. I cannot possibly show you all of the colors today, so i selected six colors that i wanted to present and compare to you for you today, but be sure to subscribe to the wig studio. One youtube channel. All of these brand new colors will be covered by a variety of reviewers on that channel. You won't want to miss it. All of those links will also be below this video. So, as i said, i have six of those brand new colors today, you'll see them on my ladies on the top shelf of my racks, now they're situated a little bit differently turned on their side, so that you can really see the colors more easily. Now you might be thinking that they all look alike and you would be absolutely right. I selected the envy dakota style for all six of these colors and i did that on purpose because sometimes it's easier to see the differences among colors if it's on the same style, because sometimes the colors can change a little bit depending on that style. So all dakota, which is probably my favorite envy style out there, so i may just go down the line and introduce them to you and then examine them one by one. This one up here is their lightest and coolest rooted blonde. Now this is the sh. This is the platinum shadow. Next door is the silky beige, which is another light blonde uh, not quite as cool as the platinum shadow uh. Next, to that is their champagne shadow, beautiful uh, going on down the line in order from lightest to darkest you've got the butterscotch shadow in the middle. Here we have sahara blonde and then we're going to end with the dakota on in the golden sandstone. Up until now, there was only one light blonde in their color palette and it's what i'm wearing it's the light blonde and if i had to say uh, if this light blonde had a root, i probably would compare it most to the silky beige um, we're going To take a look at that one, but if you've ever ever wished that the light blonde had a root, it would be the silky beige. Now the platinum shadow over here is a little bit lighter brighter and cooler than this. So here is the platinum shadow as it appears on dakota, so just to run down the specs a little bit for dakota um dakota is a mid-length wavy style with some fringe. The fiber is really soft, dry and feathery, so it just feels so light like cotton. Candy and it has a dryer type - baby, fine, fiber, all right. So, let's get started. This is platinum shadow. Now this one is the lightest and coolest of the new blondes. It'S basically a light cool, platinum, bright, cool platinum, and it has some very soft watery. Beige notes to it nothing to warm it up. This is a very, very cool light tone and it's just beautiful. It'S uh there's no hint of any gold at all in this color, but yet it has some really nice dimension, so that keeps it neutral to cool. More cool than neutral, but it isn't blue-based. So it's important to know that i don't see any gold and i don't see any blue in this now. The root is a darker brown. Okay, especially next to this stark platinum. It is very dark now. I feel like this really dark root, although beautiful it does leave a little bit of a naughty effect at the lace front. Okay, one thing they didn't do was to run the highlight right up to the lace front, to help soften it. If you like, colors, like jon renau's palm springs blonde henry margu's, 10-6-13 gr ellen villa's pearl blonde rooted. I think you are absolutely going to love this okay, let's go ahead and put on the silky beige. So this is the envy's dakota and their new silky beige. Now silky beige also has a lot of platinum in it and it's more neutral in tone than compared to the uh. The platinum shadow and you'll see why so, we've got a lot of platinum in here, but we also have a little bit of a medium beige. Highlight or low light, however, you want to look at it mix, and that gives it just a little bit of warmth compared to that other platinum of the platinum shadow and it warms it up just a tad. Now again, i'm not seeing any gold in this color and the rooting is about the same on this one as it is on the platinum shadow, which is a um medium brown. Next to the color, though, it does look very stark, and i don't think that one. I think the knots might be a little bit finer on this one uh compared to the platinum shadow, a beautiful platinum, beige blend more neutral and light, and if you really like colors like raquel, welch's, shaded, biscuit um, if you like the butterbeer blonde by belletress or Even this new sunlit blonde by estetica, i think you will absolutely adore this color. Okay. So now we're going to move on to the champagne shadow here is champagne shadow on dakota by envy gorgeous gorgeous blonde. So i still consider this to be a light to medium blonde, so we're looking at like a soft uh, medium to dark gold blonde and then that is heavily highlighted with platinum and all of that on a medium chestnut brown root. There'S a look at that lace, but wow how striking right now envy already has a sparkling champagne. That is a rooted blonde. I don't have one here to compare. I think this really reminds me of the the og sparkling champagne, although maybe just a bit brighter with the highlight pattern. It'S hard to put my finger on the differences without having a piece right here to show you now. This one is a little bit more neutral, leaning warm just because of some of the gold blonde, but that that platinum really neutralizes it quite a bit. It just makes it a beautiful, dynamic, medium highlighted blonde with a dark root, and this is where it gets a little tricky and trying to give you some ideas of what this color may remind you of and be a suitable substitute for. So if you like, colors, like jon, renau's, 12 fs8 or 12 fs12, i think you will really love this color. Although, based on my experience, this color seems to be a little bit lighter and brighter than uh than those colors, and also that estetica rh1488 rt8 might also be a nice sister color uh for this champagne shadow. Now we're going to move on to the warmest of all six, and that is the butterscotch shadow. So this is the butterscotch shadow. So envy describes this as being a strong gold blonde like a a medium to dark, strong gold blonde with some light gold blonde highlights and a medium brown root. So how i would describe this color to my own eye is a like: a dark gold blonde with some coppery blonde. It'S a medium coppery blonde which gives that butterscotch look, it's really a red orange blend, and then we have on there some really light gold blonde. Highlighting it's very, very dynamic, very spicy and then all of that on a medium brown root as well. The knots are a little bit finer on that one. Oh it's gorgeous! So normally i do not gravitate towards uh butterscotch as a as just a favorite of mine, but i got ta tell you. This is really pretty yes, it is very warm. So if you like, colors, like belletresses sugar, cookie with hazelnut, if you like, colors, like uh golden russet by raquel welch, even the 27 t613 s8 shaded sun by jon renau, you may really enjoy this color um. This also reminds me a lot of the golden nutmeg in the lineup for envy already, although it's a little more dynamic, it has a lot more blonde in it, it's a little brighter than that golden nutmeg. So it's absolutely gorgeous. Okay, now we're going to move on to sahara blonde. This is the sahara blonde, and envy describes this as being a soft dark blonde. With some gold blonde highlights - and i think that is true - i feel like it's neutral, leaning, warm and if i could take a combination of this one and the champagne shadow, i think i would get the perfect mix for that 12 fs8 or 12 fs12 by jon. Renau because this one seems a little darker than those two and this one seems a little lighter and brighter than those two depending on the application. So that's where we're at with this color just to give it a little bit of perspective. So this is not an overly warm color. I mean i, i do see a lot of gold blonde notes in this, but it's not a bright gold nature, there's not a lot of um, intense yellows and things in it. There'S no brassiness in it beautiful and there's the lace front for the sahara blonde. The darker we get the more that root tends to really transition nicely into the colors, but you just cannot beat the dimension that you get with a rooted, color. Okay, we're going to take a look at the last one today, and that is the golden sandstone. So here is the golden. Sandstone envy describes this as being a creamy beige blonde with a darker root. So i feel like this is a little more neutral compared to the sahara blonde and also compared to the butterscotch shadow, of course. So i feel like this is a medium to dark soft beige blonde and then that's highlighted with some neutral blonde highlights a light. Neutral blonde highlights all of that on a medium brown root, lace front there. So if you like, colors, like raquel, welch's, shaded cappuccino, if you like, belletress's brown sugar, sweet cream, if you like, jon renau's bt, 18 s8. This is not going to be the perfect match to that. But it's going to be the closest you're going to get to. Among all of these to those colors, this again is a little more neutral, so this is the golden sandstone. So what i'd like to do next is to show you a side-by-side complete turn for each one of these colors and, as i mentioned, if i can't pull this off in editing i'll figure out some things so that we can see them more or less side by Side, i think, that's important. I will also attempt to go out and do an outdoor look um. Now there is there's still a lot of snow and mush and mud and yuck outside. So i think i'm going to do these outdoor spots just kind of putting my head out into the outdoor light from the threshold of my back patio at least they're all going to be in the same environment. So the the lighting should be very, very similar on these, so this has been a look at six of the new 12 shadow colors by envy in their color expansion over 25 popular styles. Again, if you have any questions for us, please reach out to support at wigstudio1.com and don't forget to subscribe to the wig studio, one youtube channel, where you will find the other colors, we'll probably be posting those throughout the month. You

Twyla 2: Wow! One of your best ever reviews. Brilliant idea to compare the colors in the same style. Thank you so much for all your hard work to help us discover new styles and colors.

Liz Millner: This has to one of the best comparison reviews I have seen! Thank you so very much Taz as I know these types of videos are very difficult to do. SO MUCH WORK. BUT SO WORTH IT TO US! Again, thank you for making it so easy for us to now make a color choice.

Kim Gleit: Thanks Taz, great review. I so appreciate you pointing out the hairline rooting issues. I wish all manufacturers would bring some highlight into the root!

Christina Knapp: You are always ahead of the game with the new styles… I’m so excited for these new envy colors! Great job as always Taz❣️❣️❣️

Wendy Brown: They all look beautiful on you Taz! My favorite is the champagne shadow. ❤

Meeka Cat: The third wig color is definitely my favorite. However, I wish the root was much lighter, I think it is such a stark contrast. Thank you Taz, I love your reviews!

Kathleen Beauchemin: Oh I love that short wig you have on in the beginning!! Great color comparison review…thanks for all of the work you put into it and for sharing this information ❤️

Dayna Peterson: Great video on new rooted shades; however, the rooting looks very dark. Does this seem to be the case? Loved shadow shade rooting....now I find myself loving the wig color but the rooting color is not me. Wonderful, helpful review as always.

Tracy 2canplay: I love the Sahara and Golden Sandstone shades the best, absolutely gorgeous. Brilliant review, Taz, SO helpful! Thank you so much. x

Sally Smack: I was so excited to learn that Envy had finally expanded their color pallet ... until I saw that they didn't intersperse the lightest color along the front hairline. Thanks for breaking these colors down. :):

Lonnie C: Gorgeous colors, beautiful style. One glaring problem; highlighting not incorporating into the lace, resulting in a banded look,

Patty Carosi: Hi Taz! As always a great review. You just keep making it so much better for understanding a color. Perfection as always!! Thank you for all you do for us!! I think my favorite shade would be Golden Sandstone but the name does not seem to match the shade. I just can not do gold color. I think because I have a olive skin tone with some golden to my skin, that colors with gold blonde just looks so bad on me. You look beautiful in them all! Have a great weekend!! ❤

Come To The Art Table with Victoria Grace: Wow..lot of work on this..HUGE THANK U..really helps with color choices!! ❤️

Selexiak: The style I like the look of best is the short style you’re wearing at first - suits you beautifully. Personally, as I’ve reached my decrepitude, the contrast between a rooted colour and a beautiful blonde are no longer “believable” on me. Great though, if they suit you. Keep up the good work. Your sunny, positive attitude is always uplifting.

Miriam M: What a fantastic comparison video! This helps more than you know. I haven't tried Envy wigs yet, but I love Dakota. From what I see, it appears the roots are fairly dark around the face, compared to some other brands, especially around the face. It's less apparent with the darker blondes. All the colors are great and every one looks great on you! Thanks again for a great review! xoxo

Faith Jones: OH TAZ!! How GREAT is this!! You put a lot of work in these posts for us!! Thank you very much! You look beautiful!! Thank you TAZ!

Kathleen Beauchemin: I think out of all of the shades…Golden Sandstone would probably be the best one for me! ‍♀️❤️

Wig Studio 1: What an amazing color comparison Taz! Thank you so much! I can't tell you how grateful I am for your content. You are so professional and thorough! xoxo - Andrea Carlson

julie ketchmark: Love this comparison, thank you! I’m liking the champagne showdown and golden sandstone. It is a bit confusing to see the word “golden” in there when there is no gold ‍♀️. I hope too that they improve the knotting on the hairline:). Great job Taz!!

SewManyThings: Thank you SO much for doing this video! Much appreciated! Your reviews have helped me so much during the past year!

Marlene's Wig & Chat Studio: Thank you so much, Taz! Such a fantastic and helpful video! I think my favorites are Platinum Shadow and Silky Beige. xoxo

loves lazy lap cats: Thank you so much for not only the side by side comparison, but also letting us know what colors in other lines are similar. This is a great help! Choosing the right color has always been one of the hardest aspects for me, especially when it comes to changing wig brands. I appreciate your dedication to helping all of us.

Valli S: What a magnificent comparison! Love this SO much. They are all really great. Which might be your two favorites, Taz? Thanks. Have a fabulous weekend. xoxo

brooks269: What a wonderful review! I have never found an envy wig I liked. I can’t wait to try one in Sahara Blonde! Thanks so much!

Lee Ann Lowery: You did an amazing job of showcasing 6 new colors! Doing them on the same style was an excellent approach to keep the focus on the color rather than being distracted by changing styles. Love the sparkling champagne but the dark banding effect at the front is just not going to work for me. Too bad. Maybe they will improve that in the future. Thanks again!!

Sandra G. McAlister: Love all colors, but if i had to choose, it would be the platinum or silky blonde. Love these rooted colors, personally i think they look less wiggy. Thanks Taz, have a wonderful day and weekend.

Deb Hall: I was just scrolling wig color reviews when this popped up. I literally shouted (to no one) "OMG. they finally did it!" You and I had a brief discussion in comments over a year ago of wishing Envy would update their blondes especially adding roots to Light Blonde. I emailed them a letter that week praising their styles and fibers but politely requesting some new color choices especially in blondes. No reply came but I really wasn't expecting one. Now I know my little letter wasn't the reason they've added all these colors as I'm sure they are watchful of the industry trends but I AM OVER THE MOON about this!! I can tell you are also excited and girl you did a bang up job with this review! That you even took the time to relate the colors with other brands' colors was exceptional! So thank you, thank you for your hard work and care for us...you are the best!

MichelePearl: Beautiful new rooted blondes but as you pointed out the lighter color would be even more amazing had they extended the lighter platinum and ashy blonde color down to the knots in the lacefront hairline That would be something we always appreciate. I love that Dakota style just sensational.

Margaret Tassey: Great comparison, really helps that the wig style is constant. Editing the side by sides was wonderful. Unfortunately just showed me that I can't wear any of them because of the dark roots which don't suit me. Thanks for all this work.

Mint: Hi Taz, what a beautiful style Dakota is! Surprisingly for me I’m really drawn to Sahara and Sandstone, the last two. What wig were you wearing during the intro? I bet your husband loves you in it. You mentioned once that he especially likes the short wigs. My husband is the same. This was an excellent, very complete review. Envy should pay you! I hope you have a great weekend! Much love, Sharon xo

NurseSusanRN: I love the style a lot! However, the dark brown root is too much. They need to take note of Belle Tress rooting which is much more flattering.

Suzanne Dawson: I would totally love that silky shadow but the root is just too dark. Thanks Taz ❤️. I have Dakota in sparkling Champagne. Love her

Front Porch Wig Chat: This was a lot of work, speaking from experience! My favorite is Golden Sandstone, but I think the name is a bit misleading. It definitely is more neutral than golden, IMO, sort of what you said yourself. The rooting comes off less stark on that color, from what I can see, though I wish they'd brought just a few of the lighter fibers up to the lace front. Dakota was always my favorite Envy style. I've owned three of them. I'm glad to see brands adding new colors this year. ~Cynthia

Lost Pleiad: Fantastic comparison!!!!! I've been waiting for this for SO long!! Thank you Taz! <3 Just a question and a comment.... what about the color called Sleet by Jon Renau, as a comparison to Platinum Shadow...?... or is it more silvery, like illumina-R by Aderans brands?.. I find even SilverSunRT8 And Palm Springs Blonde are just too warm for me - any warmth and :( no good look 4 me. But what a blow, the knottiness is so visible without them bringing the color up to the hairline. My hand tied Peppermint in Chrome is just *white* like that - dang, too bad about the hairline! So how does Platinum Shadow compare to Sleet?.. I don't think JR brings the white to the hairline either.. is Platinum Shadow more silver, or more white, or what?.. One review by CrazyWigLady (<3 Eileen!) says it's got traces of sand in it. I'd ask, wouldn't it be comparable to Henry Margu 60/101GR? Thanks so much, and have a wonderful blessed day! Xxx

jayandess: Lovely blonde shades. Very helpful to see all the different colours on the same style The rooting would be a little too dark and stark for my personal taste but I'm sure it will be popular!

TIme Enough: Love that champagne shadow! Fab video Taz!!! Thank you gf!!!♥️

Julie Purvis: fantastic job on this video Taz! thanks so much!

Peggy Johnson: I love the 2nd one. The 1st one is my 2nd choice. Great Job Taz

julie moses: Love the color comparison to other brands.

Rana Zahedi: Thank you for sharing the colors look wonderful on you honestly I really appreciate you sharing all these information because it opens a lot of door for some of the folks like me did new to wearing wigs it would teach him to have little patience since I watch your video or I should say YouTube channel religiously anyway thank you again and you look wonderful, cheers

Laura Leavitt: Excellent video editing, loved it!

TheElenaTS: Thank you for this. I don't think I have ever even looked at an Envy wig. I hope a video comparing Platinum shadow and Silversun to each other. And Silky beige compared to the new Sunlit beige are on the horizon..hint hint Thank you for another great review!

Ginger Lehman: They all look great on you as always! How is the fit on Dakota? I had her a couple of years ago but she was too big in my 21 1/4 size head. Thanks for all that you do!

Hannah Boo: Thank you for this great review. I'm just sad these roots are so dark. Was so looking forward to get my Maya in different colors. Oh well.

Mary ann Mcgowen: Great review! Well thought out!

Nancy Diaz: What a shame Envy didn’t run the light colors to the hairline in front! The 2d and 3D colors are to die for, but that dark rooting all the way across is a deal killer for me☹️

Gaining wisdom: Wow!! Im torn but leaning towards the shaded champagne, I prefer the one lighter than that more I think but the starters deters me a bit,. I don't think it would if they would have maybe gone every other or so, with the highlights, it just makes it look SO much softer and more natural for me personally. I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into that Taz! I truly appreciate your work. You color comparisons, side by sides, description are top notch! I can't tell you how much it has helped me and IM truly so thankful! Im excited to see the other colors, every once in a while a beautiful dynamic rich red or even occasionally, a brunette is something I love to have fun with, even though IM a blonde at heart! I meant to ask, do you feel there's some subtle changes with Dakota recently? All of them looked a bit different, improved from my older one. They gave me a Belle Tress Dalgona 16 vibe, which I like. I just was curious if you noticed differences? Thanks so much!

Denise T: So natural looking, pretty. Kris wig is very attractive style and color.

Michelle Diekman: What a Fun Video, you look Amazing in each of these Colors. I love this Style. Have a Wonderful Weekend My Dear Friend, Love and Hugs to you and the Babies

Lainey: Great video .. thank you ☺

Amy Tacke: Hi Taz ,Was wondering if all these new colors are available in all envy styles and will the rooting vary from style to style with these colors. Thank you! Amy, Love your videos!

Mike and Mom: Sahara blonde is my fave!

Karen Curtis: These new colors are so pretty and I absolutely love Sandstone but Envy should have put some highlights near the front hairline because those dark roots are brutal. What a shame!

popgems: Since Jon Renau's 24BT18S8 and BT BrownSugarSweetCream are my fave colors, I like the Envy Golden Sandstone the best. Hard to tell in the video, but is the root more of a level 4 or level 8 brown? Also at the end, did you put your camera on a fish-eye effect? I like that!

Candy Chand: Ohhhhhhhhh! All are nice, but that short, sassy, light blonde wig you’re wearing at the beginning of the video is so cute on you!

chris011: Thanks great video show casing the colors….thanks Taz!

Nora Bolles: I live for a pale blonde with a dark root...BUT....for the first 3.. honestly think the rooting is way too harsh. Those roots needed some color blending to soften it up

Tracey Thudin: AWESOME EDITING!

Sue Davis: Well done!!

MichelePearl: Wonderful presentation.

Gee Brewer: great comparison, but the root is so stark and dark looking, so it is a big pass for me. They all just look un-natural

Anne Belair: I am very disapointed that they left the very dark roots in the front.

Deirdre Loraine: Thanks for the review !! What the bottom left ? Is it dalgona ? I just luv the style and curl pattern !! ❤️

Julie Saville: Love the colours but I also find the rooting dark and does not blend at all.

Glenda Keglovitz: Great job there..your the Best!!

Lillian Tom: It sounds like the Golden Sandstone has no “gold” in the blend. Is that right?

Kathryn Schuhwerk: I just ordered Kris by Envy.

ExtensionOfDenim: The color blends are very pretty but the dark roots and the thick hairline are giving that headband effect

E R: Just wondering what style you were wearing before you showed any of the Dakota?

Mother Earth: All look natural

Patti D: I don't care at all how they did the dark roots..

julie moses: Envy Kris is a bixie.

WanDer Woman: tried to LIKE... wouldn't let me
