I have discovered three specific hairstyles that women over 40 absolutely love and i'm going to go ahead and reveal those to you today sound good yeah. Let'S, let's definitely do that all right, let's back up, let's back up, can we address the elephant in the room question? Yes, i get it if you're new to me you're looking at me like dude you're, a guy. How do you know what women want and i would say that's a fair question, so i've been doing hair since 1995 and in that over quarter century. For whatever reason, my clientele has been 85 female and over 90 percent over 40 years old, so i've discovered three specific hairstyles that this age range tends to absolutely love. So those are the ones that i'm going to share with you today and on a side note. Just to add to this i married this woman right here, which, let's just be honest, i married up now. The funny thing is contrary to popular belief. I don't dictate her hairstyle at all. I have 100, let her determine what she wants to do, what she feels best in and then i'm just here to create that hairstyle for her. That'S it. And, oddly enough, since i have been with her, she has picked two of the three hairstyles i'm about to share with you to have on her own hair. I don't think that's a coincidence and i'm not saying that she's over 40, but she may be over 40.. She might, she might be she she's, not, but okay, um style number one. Okay number one is the long layered cut now, first of all, before we even get into the rest of describing this one or the other two. It is important that you understand that i would never tell you to go to your stylist and say i want this name. Quote-Unquote haircut names run different to all different stylists. They might not know what you're talking about or worse, yet they might think they know what you're talking about, and it might be something very different and you end up with something that doesn't look anything like what you were imagining. So that's a whole other topic, but just ignore the names and work with the actual visual of the style. The long layered haircut is a really solid option. The reason people love it is because the layers allow for a lot of movement and texture, but they also take a lot of the bulk out of the bottom. Many times on longer, hair shapes the heaviness of one length can get very heavy at the top and full at the bottom, and it creates a triangular shape. That brings your eye down, but it also limits you from the ability many times, regardless of your texture, to create a solid amount of volume in the crown or in the top, where many times we want it and overall it just doesn't hold the shape, as well As something like a layered shape will now many of you might be thinking, my hair is too thin and fine. I can never do layers. I promise you you can. I have made multiple videos about how you layer, hair appropriately, so that you don't make thin hair. Look thinner, many times, thinner, hair. Once we layer it can actually look far fuller and thicker because of the amount of volume that can be created through those layers. So these shapes look fantastic up. They look fantastic down. The softness in the front really opens up the face, allows you to pull your hair back yet still have some softness around the cheeks. If you want to accentuate some cheek structure or bring out the eyes they work incredible straight, they work incredibly curly or wavy. Now, moving to two and what you're going to notice here is, as we move through these we're going into different length ranges. So no matter, if you, like short, hair or long hair, i got you covered. Okay, number two is a huge fan favorite and it is a layered bob, two things. Let me back up notice that i did not say bob. I said layered bob. There is a difference. The layers play a huge role in why this is so effective and why women over 40 love this now, first of all, if you haven't noticed, there has never been a decade that bob shapes, since the beginning of bob shapes have not been in style. There is always some form of a bob that is very current and the reason for that is because it's an extremely timeless look. So why is the layering so important on this layering? The bob also combats the same concerns of the longer shape that we just talked about, especially with bob shapes bringing that length up into a bob range which would be between the collarbone and up around the chin area. That length of hair is just light enough to get fuller at the bottom, but many times with many textures, if it's one length not quite light enough to get volume up in the top. So what you end up with is even even more pronounced triangle that even brings more of that eye down the shape. This is a fundamental aspect of why this layering is so important. Once you layer a bob, it takes the bulk out of the sides simply because there isn't enough hair down there to get too full. Now again back to the whole idea of my hair is too fine. I can't have a layered bob. Maybe you've even had a ball before that had this little thinness on the sides, that is not the layering. That is the way that the layering is done. I promise you. I'Ve done a whole series about how to cut bob shapes, to show you how to avoid that concern i'll, go ahead and link all these videos in the description for you, so that you can watch them. But you can have layers and still have a thick bob line, and those layers are going to do an incredible job of breaking up that shape more lifting that volume up where we want that volume also taking the volume away from where we don't want the volume. The best part, i think, personally, of a bob is that it really does a good job of being able to be dressed up or down, depending on how you dress. If you want to go out with your friends, have a fun night dress a little bit edgier and more fun? You can style your bob and get a really edgy cool. Look simply because bobs follow the clothing. But then, at the same time, when you head off to work and you need it to be a little bit more polished, guess what bob's look polished, because your clothing changed they're awesome like that - and this is a large reason why they're so timeless and they never Go out of style, so, yes, number, two, a bob shade number three is actually kind of a combination of a few different styles. Many people are going to have different names for this. Some people will call it a pixie bob. Some people will call it a pixie in general. Some people will call it a just short haircut. That'S this is part of the reason i say do not focus on the name. The key to this length range, regardless of how short you go, is where the volume sets and how the sides are cut. Here'S the key - and this is why women over 40 love this cut, if you're the type that's inclined to go shorter, having a little bit of extra length on top and having it a little bit more tapered on the sides and not just tapered down, but actually Tapered in this alone, regardless of how long it is, makes a massive difference in where volume sits, it really forces the volume to sit right in this temple area and by creating that volume in the temple, you're, really accentuating more cheek structure and you're lifting the face Up a lot more now, whether or not you have really short sides or whether or not you have a little bit of length on the sides, just making sure that the sides taper down or angle down into the face that overall balance of that shape, changes. Everything now the best part about this is when you do this right. Not only does it create a good shape when you style it, but many times it's creating a good shape. So, even when you don't style it, the shape is still there. It may not be quite as large or full or as voluminous as you might want, but the volume will still be in the right areas and that my friends is absolutely key. So those are three hairstyles that i have learned over the past quarter century of doing hair, that women over 40 absolutely love, and i like them as well. So yes that too, but the question is: what do you think of them? Do you like those styles? Do you currently have one of those styles, or do you have another style that you like even more well, let me know comment below. Otherwise, if you want to see a video where i actually break down those individual styles, how to style them or how to have them cut or maybe how to talk to stylists about them, comment below and let me know, and for now uh. I'M gon na probably go edit this video, i don't know i want to say that i'm gon na do something cool but realistically uh. Now i'm just gon na go edit this so yeah. Okay! Well, bye, see you later. You

Justin Hickox: So…which is your favorite???

Tana Suter: Thank you! I currently have a long, layered cut and just turned 70. I find it is not only flattering with my naturally streaked gray hair but it covers some of the sagging in my neck ( argh!). Love your channel.

Lisa: I recently went from long hair to a pixie, and I love what you said about pixies. You put into words what I was seeing in pictures and on myself, that if pixies are cut right, they automatically give you a kind of facelift. I am almost 70 and feel I look way younger with short hair for that reason. Would love to see more videos about styling products and how to use them with pixies, especially thick, wavy hair. Thank you for your channel!

Jamie Vaduva: I have the long layers and have had it for years. I’ve had variations with the length and also experimented with how short I’ve taken the layers, added bangs and grown bangs out. But longer layers is really the only thing that works and looks good with my thick wavy hair. :) sometimes I get bored but regret any big changes so now I experiment with changing my part.

Diana Longhenry: Actually Justin, I’ve worn all three styles at some point in my life. I’m currently in the ‘long layered’ stage and it has been many years since my hair has been this long (half way down my back). Longer hair has been so much more versatile for me: when a hot flash hits, the hair goes up. When I get a little chilly, the hair comes down.

Nadine Rohr: I have fine hair that is fairly thick and my favorite is the layered bob! I keep mine long enough that I can still pull it back off my neck when it's hot. What I would love to see is a video on how to do the layers properly, so that you still keep that bob line at the ends while doing enough layering that you don' t wind up with the "dreaded triangle shape". Plus if you could address where beveling in the back comes into the layering that would be great.

Donna Washburn: I’m 57 and have very long fine thin hair all one length and I love it ! Took me many years to get but when I quit blow drying and ironing and styling ! It grew like crazy and it’s just so easy! Thanks for the info!

Jenn: About 3 years ago my stylist gave me a shag cut for my curly hair. I'm in love! it's easy to maintain and I have received so many compliments!

C Glo: Your timing is perfect! I’m actually on my way to my hair stylist right now and love the long layered look!!! Thank you!!!!

Nancy Goetz: Loving my new pixie Bob cut! So easy and youthful looking.

RJsyiyia: After not having my hair cut/styled for 5 months ( you might recall my stylist of 30+ years has been out with surgery and may not be going back to work). I printed out your info sheets on how to find a good stylist....THANK YOU! The salon I selected did everything step-by-step (as per your recommendations). They asked for pictures of what I had, what I wanted, and what my at-home hair care regimen was and we were able to effectively communicate to reach the best outcome. The stylist and I settled on a soft layered, shoulder length style, similar to #2 in this video (also very similar to one of your previous videos which I showed her). I am SO happy! Thanks for giving me the tools I needed to find my "happy " hair. Oh, I do plan to continue following your channel; you always provide your followers/subscribers with great information!

barbara morris: Would love to see how to video(s) on styling each of those cuts. I learn so much from watching your videos!

Leslie N: I’ve had the long layered cut for the past 5 years. I liked it long but as I turned 64 in June, I felt my hair was thinning some on the top and the long layers were looking a little sparse. In June I had it cut into a shoulder length bob, which I think makes it look fuller. I thought I’d never cut it but I feel I’ve had to adapt to the reality of aging. Don’t particularly like having to adapt to my changing body but it is reality. To deny it is silly.

Nancy Andersen: I tend to wear my hair shorter as it is fine with no natural body. I have found that many stylists when you tell them short tend to take it way too short. At that point I feel scalped and have a terrible time styling it. Would love to take it longer but then the weight pulls it down and it becomes very unflattering. Oh, I am 72 years young and feel I have been fighting my hair all my life..lol

D N: Hi Justin, I love all 3! I currently have your best version of #2–with the back layered to reduce extra fullness. I recently saw #3 on someone and have been pondering it since. I’d say you got all three styles perfectly!

Sue Wood: I've had all 3. Right now I have long layers with natural salt and pepper. At 63 I finally let my bangs grow out and love it. Thank you for all the great information you provide!

Kathy Hirsh: I'm 49 with fine curly hair in a layered bob. Curly hair doesn't always behave and I've learned over the years to have 2 things in my hair arsenal: a stylist who is knowledgeable in cutting curly hair and my own info on myself (lifestyle, face shape, curl type). And that has made all the difference. I love your videos! Keep em coming! Would love to see various ways to style a LOB showing different hair textures (fine, curly, wavy etc

Debbie CS: Love all 3 styles and I’ve had the first 2. As I’ve aged my hair has gone thinner and having the long layered style is harder because my ends are already thin. I’ve opted for a blunt cut in the back with long bangs to frame the face. The bangs are past my cheeks and the back is a little past the shoulders. I would love to try the pixie but not sure if it would suit my face shape or facial features.

Kathleen Boller: I keep going back to a chin length bob when I don’t know what else to do. Otherwise the best look ever at my age is the short cut with layers. You nailed the look with the height above the cheekbones and the sides angled in. It is very youthful. May I also mention the look is chic and while VERY few women are brave enough to rock it, I get to look different than everyone else who is trying to keep their hair long like when they were in their 30’s. Add an unusual auburn red and, well, let’s just say I Look Good for 60 lol

Elaine NJ: I have a layered bob and I love it. Very easy to maintain and blow out. Thanks Justin

Boricua Girl: Fantastic video. I so appreciate how you take time to educate us about hair. You’re truly the best! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

t gardenchicken: Loved this. Due to your previous vids I had 3 feet of hair removed to now sport a long pixie, similar to the lady with med brown hair. I love my new style, thanks for all the tips I was able to use and share with my stylist.

Wanda Urie: I would love to see more specifically about how to talk to a stylist about the pixie cut. Also, maybe how it can be styled a couple of different ways. (I have super thick, heavy hair so doing it on a thick model would be even better!) :) Keep up the good work! Love your videos!

Fran Tucker: This is fun, love your channel! Yes, I am over 40 and currently have a layered bob with a slightly stacked back. I love it and got right before I saw your video, so nice to have the confirmation of what I chose for myself. Will absolutely subscribe!

Kim K: I love your wife's hair length and style.  I have long hair (right at bra strap length) at 61 and can't see changing it anytime soon. It just makes me feel more feminine - but that's just me. I feel all these styles look great if you are happy and comfortable in them.

Amy Morris: I’m 52 and have the layered bob! It’s very versatile which is great. I often get compliments on my hair which is also great!

Audrey T. Butler: I had a bob for years and love it, but I got tired of the incessant combat with my wave and curl. I now am wearing it short, with a little length to the side and love the ease of care. I wear the weight on the top to elongate my round/square face. In time, I'll go back to the bob, but for now, this is easy and sassy.

Charlotte Johnk: I love your videos, they’re fun, informative and unique! You have a real talent for communicating and you obviously love making women look beautiful.

Margie Faciana: Love all the styles! Wished I lived near your salon I be a new client! Thanks for sharing.

Nedelka Markus: I have low density curly hair. Could you do videos targeting curly hair? How to manage it, care, haircuts, styling, etc? Thanks

Tricia Jensen: Thank you! I found this very entertaining btw I am very partial to long hair & would love to learn more about what you’re calling the long layered cut. Thank you for all you do!!

Margarete K: Just in the process of growing out my hair from super short ugh lol ! But am going to get there ! The second set is my aim ! Thanks Justin !

Mollie Swann: You are absolutely awesome!! Love your sense of humor— your content is just what I needed—I have curly thick hair and love blowouts— I’m hoping this layered look will work for me

Marilyn Schanbeck: Amazing content as always…and yes would love to see you styling tips for these hair styles.

TJSawyer: At 73 yrs old the layered chin length bob is for me. I’ve had that style for more years than I remember because it suits my face. I’ve tried longer than shoulders but I look witchy! Tried pixie but it adds width to my already wide chubby face. I’d love to try different cuts sometimes but……layered bob always works. My ideal style? Short and spiky. Maybe in my next life, sigh……

Rae Cunningham: Love the layered bob! Of course, your wife is so pretty she would look good in any hair style!

Loretta Brundage-Pike: Justin, you simply are the greatest!! You have an unerring eye for shape, line, volume, which I’ve never found in anyone but myself. I am tall, slender, with extremely dense, thick, straight hair. Over the years it has been extremely difficult to find a style that works beautifully. Thanks to you and myself, I now wear a version of style #3. Love you and your work!!

Genevieve Doyon: I love all of them. I wore a very short pixie for years but I am growing it out now. I’m aiming for the long layered look, just crossing my fingers I won’t loose patience and cut it short on a whim because of a bad hair day…

sherie light: Love the layered bob! I'm 63 with shoulder length hair & I think the layered Bob would look nice on me. I always enjoy spending time with you ❤️ Blessings!

pam harpster: Love watching your videos. I’m 61 and have had the Bob type of hair cut for a few years now. I just wish I knew other ways to style it. I try often to curl it but it won’t hold a curl and just looks messy minutes after I curl it.

Run To The Forest: I used to wear a pixie bob for a long time, now I went ultra-short, and I love it! I always wanted long hair, but for some reason, when I grow out my hair, I start looking like a non-styling old lady.

Emily Evans: I live in, and love different versions of the Pixie! It suits me, suits my lifestyle, and I love it! Thanks for the great video!

Evelyn Medcalf: Justin you're the best!! I love long layer cuts. I'm pretty sure your wife would look good in everything! You are a beautiful couple :-)

Cuisinette Lidi: Thank you It would be nice to watch a tutorial of a wavy dine on short hair or on square cut

bhal: I would also love to see videos on how to style each of those cuts! Your videos are wonderful!

Sue Barlow: Thank you for this video. 67 year old with layered long hair. It has taken me four years to grow out the dye. (Slow growing hair). Thanks to your videos I was brave enough to go with layers. Makes the hair so easy to look after. Why did I dye my hair for so long? Natural grey/white highlights and hair in great condition. Should add that I rarely use any heat on my hair.

Me Deli: . This video totally makes sense to me. When I had pretty much 'one length' long, curly coarse hair the hair around my scalp wasn't lofty enough and it weighed down my face creating that downward direction you spoke of and that 'triangle.' Cutting my hair just below my shoulders and layering it really brought out my eyes and face which were obscured by 'too much hair' that I used to have. . Now that my hair is layered with some hair that is 'bang level a little on the sides like the #1 example. I really do feel lighter, more content with my hair reflecting more who I am...a fluid, free, light-hearted 64 yr old with some 'swish!'' Since my hair is curly the hair that is cut shorter as 'bangs' always 'goes crazy' on me when I try to put it on my forehead (Is like a spiral noodle with a life of it's own and doesn't look good) so I just push these 'bang' length 'curtains' back away from my face....The other two pics you showed also make sense to me. I had never thought of the 'bob' needing to 'angle in' a bit and be layered in older women but that also clearly looked way batter than the one length bob for older women. Well thought out observations and beautiful styling!

Barbara Barbara: Have long not-so-well-layered, thick, wavy (frizzy) hair. Stylists don't seem to know how to layer it to prevent a triangle. I keep refering them to you & have sent them links! Would like to see more on good layering, plz! Enjoy watching you.

Deborah Graham: I've had variations on the pixie cut a number of times but I've found that I'm just a too lazy to maintain it. It looks good and when it's up to date is easy to style. I had the layered bob for about 30 seconds and found that it just wasn't me. I've never had a long layered cut like the picture you showed but I have had a layered cut that was from mid-length to long. It was a shag cut. More layers all over, shorter in the crown and on top, with and/or without bangs. I recently changed stylists and so am breaking in a new one - she's young and wasn't even around for the origin of the shag - lol. I like the versatility the shag gives - you can ether go sleek or big and voluminous. I am 50 yrs young, my hair is cut in a should length shag (growing out a pixie), my hair is straight and is dark purple.

Maggie Malone: Love you, Justin! I would like to get a bob cut. The thing that concerns me most about it is the movies and TV. Every time the makeup artist wants to age a woman to show her at a later time in her life, they give her a bob haircut. It works! Example: This Is Us! She looks sooooo much older with a bob! Maybe it's just how they style it, but I don't want to bother with that all the time either.

CocoatMidnight: Have worn many of the various bob styles and still do so. Classic timeless cut.

Christian: I absolutely want the cut in number 2!!! I feel like my longer hair is dragging down my face… of course that could be gravity as well I’m doing it, here I come number 2!!!

Angela: Yes, I would love to see a video on styling the short style. My hairdresser is trying to encourage me to get this style of cut due to my thinning on top.

Sandra C: Justin yes please do a video on how to style the long layered look. I love your channel! My hair is fine with. medium thickness. My best look is the one I walk out of a hair salon with. Please include how to apply product before blow drying. It’s so challenging to do that for myself.

Rae Cunningham: Love the layered bob! Of course, your wife is so pretty she would look good in any hairstyle!

Sharon Meek: Love this…I’m struggling to get a style that really suits me. Can you please do a video on combination hair please…part wavy, curly & straight.

jenni wrenn: Love your videos! I have a long shag/ wolf cut with bangs which takes a lot of weight off, & is much cooler. I like shags in all lengths

Me Me: I love your videos! Always educational, personable, and fun! Yes to more videos about how to style these hairstyles! p.s. -- remind us where to find you and your wife's travel videos.

TB Rech: Please show how to cut and maintain the layered bob especially! I really love your videos. I wish you were in my area because I would definitely have you style my hair! I do my own cutting now…but the more I learn the better the outcome.

cynthia eklund: All these suggestions are great and I’m enjoying your videos. I wonder what you would suggest for even older women…those of us who no longer have that lovely swan neck…but now have an older neck, and a dowager hump! I looked great with a Farrah Fawcett hairdo, decades ago. Kept it long and wore a ponytail for tennis games…And I looked pretty good with a pixie cut years later, but after 10 years got tired of it and decided to grow my hair out. But nothing is flattering anymore because the swan neck is gone, for good. But I’d like to know what you suggest for your older customers. You know, those of us lucky enough to reach our 70s and 80’s. Thank you. (BTW, You and your wife are adorable together.)

Barb Robbins: I just went with a longer pixie, in purple. Never had so many compliments on my hair, and I am in my 60s.

Mary Albert: I love the layered Bob! This is the cut I have.

bons.ageless.beauty: You recently gave me suggestions on my haircut on your YouTube channel. I have Parted my hair on the side now but I did leave one side long and got the other cut short in an asymmetrical cut. My next step Is a pixie and this video just confirmed why I want to get one

bleudreams16 dm: I have always had long layers. I’m 63 and many people think I am much younger. I contribute this to the layers. Thanks for your tips on how to blow dry it on other videos.

Nancy: Please also do a top 3 over 40 for something more rocker/badass. Or a more adventurous take on these 3. I'm 48, with no desire to look mundane. These are pretty cuts, but I want a step or two more badass ❤

Catherine Cox: I haven’t commented for a while, but just want to tell you how much I enjoy your content.

karen dewillers: Any time I let my hair grow too long, I lose my curls and mostly look wavy and flat top. Pixie cuts on big women doesn't work well for a total look even if its great for the face

Butterfly23 Faith: You’re looking wonderful Justin!!! Thank you for your videos!!

Dawn Charity: Your videos are so helpful and interesting. You’re funny too

Nanno: This was very helpful! Thank you!

Khanjari Joshi: Hey hey Buddy! Great video, AGAIN! Gosh Dionna is just so pretty! I love the long layered look on her. Overall, on me, I like medium length layered with bangs but i am not 40 yet ! However, I will let you decide on my hair mistakes that are aging me! I see the van coming along... love how it's turning out. Can't wait for your journey to begin. Much love and light to both of you ❤️ (from your biggest fan from Charlotte NC ❤️)!

Rhonda Mcloughlin: The short is where I want to be but styling is always tough. Show us how!

Faye Jordan: It would be great to see a video of how to explain to a hairdresser how to do the medium length one or each one for that matter! I’m about to go to my niece who is in beauty school.

JMK: If I lived in the same continent as Justin I would definitely visit his salon for a haircut. He really does get it unlike a lot of so called stylists.

Beverly Hardy: I have a short pixie but am leaning toward an undercut on sides and back. What are your thoughts on that. I am 70 by the way

Antoinette Barteet: Loved this video but love all your videos. I appreciate so much your knowledge of hair and hair styles. Would love to see you demonstrate all three of these styles. Your wife is beautiful. I’m 72 but If I were 30-40 years younger that’s how I’d wear my hair. Hair is too thin now and too old for longer hair. Oh well keep making these great videos and have a blessed day.

PERSA PLESIOTI: I have thick long hair because it's curly I leave it long without layers on purpose ,then I lift the front part into a side shaped ponytail and always ready in just minutes that is the basic reason love this channel ❤️

Helen Dail: I really like the pixie. Finally someone addresses the issues of the angle in which it is cut. Thanks

Nina Shambrook: More in pixie styling for different hair types. Curly thick thin Thanks for your advice and insight

LightDancer Vaughn: I Adorethe Layered Bob with full bangs. Would Love more information on how to dry & communicate with stylist etc.Currently have the bob with full bangs, and back 2 inches shorter than front. (Fine, thin hair) Watched your video on blow drying bangs, this made a huge difference! Thank you for this wonderful channel.

Zephyr: I like the layered Bob look. I have recently grown out a kind of Bob that has a high back in that tapered up way and the sides and front are longer. I didn't like how the front sat when it all swayed into my face as it's naturally straight at the front before my ears and then naturally curly when it's short or wavy if longer than my chin level. My issue whilst growing out that style to a length that sits on my shoulders with a lot less layers is that I don't know how to style it. I currently use a slim head band and put some curl cream type product through it (Evo liquid rollers) but I'm finding it isn't working now the length is longer so I'm looking for tips on how to style the front for a relaxed wavy look that doesn't sit in my face but frames it. I don't have bangs but eye level slight layers around an almost center parting. Any tips are appreciated. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it but it gets limp easily from heavy products. I struggle on how to style it for every day and something easy for date nights. Any help appreciated.

Midlife Mom: Thank you! Do u have a video explaining concave/convex, square/round layers and the resulting look of each?

Tricia Glenn: I have long fine hair past the middle of my back. The stylist I go to says that my hair is best suited for an all one length blunt cut. She says that layering would cause my hair to look more fine and thin. I'd like for you to do a video dedicated to the long layered haircut.

Linda Marocco: Love the layered bob, always my favorite!!!…much love and appreciation!…great video!!!!…say hi to Dionna from me!

Barbie c: Love everything you do.

Susan Porter: Have a layered Bob…thin hair. Works well! Especially now that I have a blow dryer/brush.

Dawn Porteous: Yes, please show how to style each of these cuts. I’m particularly interested in a very short pixie. Dawn

Chris p: Would love to see cutting and styling for these!! Awesome!!

Jackie Monk: I like #2 style. I have a cut like the #3 style, but I'm in the middle of growing it out. It's gray, fine, & thin. Any suggestions for growing hair?

Michelle P: Somewhere in your collection of videos, is there one that deals with thick coarse hair? I love watching your videos but I always seem to hear about thin or fine hair.

Senorita Steffy: I liked them all. I think it depends on the person - their face shape and the look they're trying to create - as to which one they would choose. I have a short layered bob which I tend to scrunch to get a bit of a "beachy wave" effect, but I can also blow dry it smooth if I want. I've learned such a lot from your videos, especially about getting volume in the right places, and like you always say, a small change can make a big difference. Looking forward to your next one ‍♀️

smoses15: Could you address thick wavy hair? Especially the layering. Thanks!! PS I'm tired of my "mushroom"/triangle.

Mia Vos: I have fine hair that looks like candy floss. It's thin on top of my head but bushy at the back. My hair drives me nuts. It's cut into a chin-length layered bob. My best cut was the pixie, but my hair grows very fast so to keep it in shape I had to visit the hairdresser every 4 weeks.

Laurie Hoer: I'm 62 and have a layered bob and am keeping my hair dark brown, for the time being. Since my hair is also getting quite thin (UGH!), I am dealing with a split that happens in the back of my hair and need help styling so my hair doesn't split and my scalp shows.

Renee Kalanui: I'm curious what this list of best hairstyles would be for a naturally curly haired woman over 40... Or, as I like to plan ahead, even over 50 :)

RILEYOFTHEWEAK: Can you give us some styles for very thick hair. I'm starting to get hood eyes.. I really like watching your videos. Thank you

Deborah Wilson: Awww, Justin! You are a hoot and I love your sense of humor! I trust your hair prowess..

max bingham: Thanks for this video. if you can share dos and don'ts on Styling a layered bob for wavey to curly hair be hugely helpful. 45 and a new style for me so trying to get it right. Thanks

Ann G: Helpful video. I love pixie style but not sure it loves me. My hair is very thick with wave, curl and frizz esp in the summer that it ends up looking like a muffin top. But in the less humid months, i love the pixie on me. I go from long layers (mid back) to pixie every couple of years. Thoughts? Plus finding a stylist who really knows how to handle my type of hair consistently has been a big challenge. Do you. Have a twin in Charlotte NC that I can go to for haircuts? Ha!

KlörKlang: I like the pixie haircut. , Thank you so much for your interesting videos, best wishes margreet
