Now today's story is Katie who just moved from New York City to Nashville and she's. Looking to reinvent her style., Here's, her story. Hi Katie, Hi Sonia. Welcome. Thank you., So tell us your story.. Well, I lived in New York City for six years.. I worked at a fashion magazine and it was a very crazy lifestyle. OK. And I just moved to Nashville Tennessee, which is a totally different lifestyle.. It'S more relaxed, it's more laid back. And I love it., So explain your hairstyle now. Right now. It'S just kind of hanging: here. Mm hmm., That's how it was in New York.. I would just throw it back on the go run out the door. And that doesn't really fit what I'm doing in Nashville, which is just finally having fun and not working as much.. So you're here for a new hairstyle. Yep., So does that consist of a cut Or a color, I'm thinking a little bit shorter.. What about your color? Are you thinking something dark or light? I could totally go darker.. Ok, so let's go meet your stylist. Great.! Ok right, this way., Hey, Hi, Hi. Jamie. This is Katie. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you., Have a seat. OK., So Jamie. She needs a new look to go with her new lifestyle.. So what do you recommend OK.? As far as cut you're, pretty open right Mm hmm. To bringing this up, maybe creating a nice shape for you. A long bob, I'm thinking. Yeah. That sounds great.. I think that will look really good, with the shape of your face. And maybe a little bit darker Yeah yeah.. I was thinking a chocolaty, warm brown, maybe with a little reddish hues in the sunlight. Sure.. The color contrast is gon na look great, especially with that light. Skin tone. And your eyes are gon na pop. Yeah., So I'll. Let you guys get to it and I'll see you in just a bit. [ MUSIC PLAYING ], Hey Sonia., Hi Whoa Hi. So how do you like it? I, like it a lot. Now, what were you thinking about style, We're gon na, take it up to about her collarbone and create more of a long bob which is gon na, give her more definition in her cut. And then we're gon na. Do a side bang to open up her face and give her a style not only when it's down, but when it's up too. Great. The cut and the color's. Also gon na give you the illusion of having thicker hair. Since you have such fine hair right, now. Yeah., So I can't wait to see the finished product.. Yeah me, too., Yeah, we'll see you after.. So I'll see you guys in a bit. [ MUSIC PLAYING ]. So this is a root-lifting spray gel.. So you can spray! This on the actual section that you desire., So you don't have to when you get out of the shower spray, this on., You can literally just spray it right where you want lift., Because the more product you have right at the root, the more lift you're gon Na get. You had mentioned before that you wanted to learn some styling tips.. What were those Yeah.? I was thinking if I'm going out for a nice dinner or something - and I want some loose waves - -- Mm hmm. - Just how to kick it up a little from how it is now. There'S two products that I recommend from the Pantene Stylers collection.. The first one is the Flexible Hairspray.. It'S a light hold, so you spray this all over and then curl. Or then even blow dry style in as you set it.. We also could use the All-in-One Styling Balm.. This is a finishing product, so it helps with frizz and molding your hair., And even if you have curls, you want to crunch it in.. My tip is to section it out. Four sections -- two in the back two in the front. And then a curling iron that you have at home. It could be a inch width., Something like this, that you can control the heat.'Cause hair types you shouldn't. Have it on full blown heat., Take a section spray it with the light hold spray., Don't need a lot.. You want to pull it away from your face and wrap it around and leaving the end out as you can see., And how long do I hold it for I'd, say you count to five and then move it back and forth., And then you create the wave. On your right side, you would be taking the iron and then wrapping the hair around the back.. Do you do this at home at all? I don't, but I will start. You're gon na try it Yeah. Once you're done doing that. You'Re gon na spray, the spray everywhere. You can use your hands or take a brush and just lightly comb. It. You're gon na take All-in-One Balm a dime full. Mix it together in your hands.. This helps define the curls. Also helps with frizz and to put shine back in.. I'M so excited [, MUSIC PLAYING ]; OK, Hey Sonia, Oh my god That looks so good. I love it. So did you learn anything new Yes.? I learned how to do the loose wave with a one-inch, curling iron. And how to style my new bangs.. It looks really really good., I'm so happy with the results.. So how does it make you feel Feels great.? I can't wait to go back and show it off to my friends in Nashville. And with my new lifestyle.
