But yeah so yeah, i'm excited to be back to to be sharing a product that i'm not another product review with you guys, um. I had made a promise that i was going to be more consistent and i'm doing it i'm actually doing it. There'S a little construction in the background, but i'm going to work through that today. So hopefully it's not like overwhelmingly loud, but they are adding some stairs to the house next door. So there's going to be a little bit of noise in the background but pushing through that, because i promise a couple of videos at least a new upload every week and i'm doing that consistently as i promise so first um yeah. So let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is chante simpson and i am a licensed cosmetologist beauty, blogger entrepreneur, new business owner of brown, sugar, glam collection, which is a collection of lashes, lip glosses, liners and etc. I am very excited about that. I have eyelashes, which is the ones i'm wearing right now, i'm actually wearing queen lashes. I have lip gloss. This lip gloss, i'm wearing today. It'S called roasted chestnut. It'S one of our news from new collection. The lip liner is called chocolate, lip liner and yeah. So no um no foundation, yet no brows, yet no eyeshadow. Yet but one day eyeshadow palette is coming, hopefully so yeah. So that's where i'm at um. With that that's new launch. I launched that back in november, if you're wondering that launched in november of 2020. So it is very, very new, but i'm excited about you know all of the support that i've had so far as it's been so much um. I haven't had a lot of issues that a lot of people have had with the new launch. Um i've been pretty successful thus far and i'm praying that it continues to go up and up and up from here so anyway um today, i've told you guys that i'll be back with another review about the do. The dew created um, the moose death, is what it's called mustaf right. They created this phone wrap that i seen i didn't see it in the roller set. I saw it in a wet set and i said um wash and go. It was actually a wash and go that i saw maya. The creator do a um look with, and so i tried it that way and at first i did not like the way my hair looked with just the foam alone. Usually i do wash and go with foam and also a gel, so um, but today i wanted to do something different. I wanted to do um a look with rollers like real rollers like a roller set. I was like, i wonder if i can achieve a roller set. I'Ve tried a couple of roller sets before in the past and i have not been successful. This is actually my first roller set. I did a rod set with her product the other day as well, and it came out really nice, which i'll show you guys a picture of that. So you guys can see your video or something. So you guys could see what my hair looked like. My hair came out really lovely and i was very impressed with the results of it as well. So i decided that i was going to use like magnetic rollers. Just named they're called magnetic rose, but they're really old, school rollers and you can get them from like walmart or your local sally beauty supply. They still sell those type of rollers, so those can be. You can get those from there, but what i did was i shampooed and conditioned my hair with a non-sulfate sulfate-free shampoo. It had no lathering or anything, and then i used a really good conditioner on my hair, because my hair felt really dry because i've been doing a lot to my hair lately. So after that i applied my phone like on straight wet hair. I had my water pump. The supplies i had was my clips. My water pump, my my water spray, my spray water and then to do that's all i did. There was no other product. I added, i probably could have added a leave-in. I would have added a leave-in had i had her leave-in but like i don't want to be using like other products with. Sometimes it doesn't turn out right when you combine the wrong product, so i was very cautious, so i just used this before last time. I used this. It came out good, so i don't want to use any other leave-in with it so yeah so fast forward. I wrote my hair and, and the only thing i'll tell you about a roller set on natural hair, especially coarser natural hair, like mine. I have like 4b here, mostly all over 4a. In the very front, i would say that you have to be very neat with your rollers. I parted my hair in like four sections initially and then i parted a third set, a third, a third position like a third area in the back. So i could have like that. A third area because my hair is so so thick and dense and it's also um a head - is not like real small. So like i need a lot of sections, i need a lot of sections so i sexually and did that and then um yeah. So at the top i rolled it as well, not in really a specific way. Anyway, i'm going to show you what it looked like when i wrote what i did when i did a roller set to create a look but um i kept the hair wet and i used really good tension on the roller. I think it's very important to use a really good tension on a roller so that you can pull the curls out. I just need the rollers to be tight, because if the rollers aren't tight, then it's not going to set right so rolled. It went under the dryer for like an hour and 20 minutes, probably to make sure my hair was good and dry. Then i took it out when i took it out. I could see that my hair was smooth. I had firm hold to it like the the hole was really really like a firm, firm, firm hole. I could easily pull it apart. It had it had a shine to it naturally, but i did add, castor, castor oil, like some of my oils to it. I have like this oil combo that i use. I added that to my hair and it was like black, castor oil and another oil that i added, and i just really massaged the roots and just like, ran it through my whole head, and that is what's going to give it the shine as well. But naturally it was a shine with it. So i'm gon na read to you what it says on the back, so you guys know what it says on on this right here. What it says the cool thing about it is: it actually goes into um what it's for and what is you know what it's for, and i'm gon na tell you a couple of don'ts for the product. So you know when you use a product, you, you don't make the mistakes that i made because i've tried this thing couple. I'Ve tried this like twice already, so i can tell you a couple things that i did wrong. The the mousse def texture, foam, high definition, control mousse, is what it do is for wash and goes twist outs. Rod sets blow outs conditions, it defines and shines in one step, no crunch, that's true cut styling and drying in half it does drop pretty fast, but i have so my hair. So thick everything takes forever, but i didn't have to sleep overnight with this. So i was happy about that. Um. What'S good, it's infused with silk proteins, humidity, humidity, blocking polymer polymers fighting frizz! Do you for best results, do not apply all to the hair before applying this product for curly look apply a liberal amount to clean damp hair. Allow to dry completely before separating curls, once dry, fluff and separate as usual straight apply one two pumps to wet hair and then blow dry. So it tells you if you, depending on how you're trying to create this look, you don't want to um. You know you definitely if you're trying to wear it straight. You definitely don't want to put too much foam like you. Don'T have messed up so soft like it's so soft, i'm interested in seeing how it holds up tonight. When i go to bed, it has a good hole, but i know i can't cover it with a with a silk cap, because it'll just go a bonnet it'll just go in the morning. I won't have anything, but i think that if i pull it up in the pineapple, it should have good hold. That'S my goal. If i can pull up an opponent pineapple and it can look similar to this in the morning, i will be so so so happy. That is the hardest thing with natural hair is. Can i look like this tomorrow morning, right after the workout, because i will be working out again um tonight, i'm gon na be doing like a little run. Again. I got this new treadmill friend from from youtube that i follow called tread, chick and she's, so so bomb. So i've been doing my runs with her because i'm trying to lean out for real this time. So i'll do my my runs with her. So i'm going to run and then after i do my run, i'm really going to see what it's going to do. What is the do going to do? I took my time and i separated the hair, like i didn't, take it and just pick it out like crazy. I took my time and i separated it um each curl, each each curl at a time and yeah just really took it, took my time and did that and yeah. So that's what i did and then after i took the curls and and separated the curls. I picked it out with the pick so um. The pick is not over here, but just an old school pick with the fists on it. I picked it out from the root just a little bit of fluff, to give it a little bit more volume, and that is how i created this look like it was not complicated. I thought it was very simple to do if you have a lot of hair. I can see all the work in it if you have a lot of hair like if you have a long, a lot of long thick hair. I can see the challenge in like a roller set right, but my hair is more of a medium length. It'S not super long, it's just real real thick. So if you have fine hair, this should be a super, easy look to create and manage, because your hair is fine, so the drying time will be even less and it will roll easier so yeah. What else can i tell you um the don'ts, if i have to tell you anything to as far as don'ts try not to use too much foam. Um, really one pump goes a long way. As far as in the sectioning, every section i did like one pump. Every section i did one pump um. If you do too much, you might have a problem later on, but i avoided that so um yeah. So definitely you want to make sure you don't use too much, but other than that. What can i tell you about the dew um, the other thing i'll mention? I wouldn't put any cream products with this with this foam, no cream products are needed. Cream is actually going to make your hair dry slower, so an easier way to do a roller set or a rod set or any type of set you're trying to do with this. Just do it with just the foam alone, like don't combine, don't combine anything else with it and just roll it, and just do your dryer time and then, when you separate it you'll be good to go fluff it out and you're good to go so yeah. So anyway, if you like this video and you find this video informative, it was helpful for you and if you want more tips like this, and you want me to try out more products, let me know because of course, the only way i know you like the Videos, if you like the video subscribe, so i can continue to grow my family and also and turn on your notifications so that you never miss a post when i do post uh notifications, turning notifications on so when the video goes live, you'll get it um, because I'M gon na be doing some of the latest products that are out there. So if i find anything better, i promise to let you know i would be on here to let you know what i found and how effective it was for my hair or how it wasn't, because i will tell you that too, if it's not good as well. So there you go so yeah so also share with a friend um that that loves natural that has natural hair and needs to learn. I know i had someone say something to me the other day about. Oh, my gosh, your hair looks so good. I wish i could do my hair, like that, and i was like man just follow my youtube, like that's what i'm here, for i'm definitely here to help it's. I don't. I don't feel like this is really challenging. The challenge is finding the right product and the right fit for your texture hair.
