How to make your hair, wavy or even curly if you have straight hair, so I've been getting a lot of DMS and people. Ask me about. Oh, my hair, is, you know, pin straight, how do I get like the John B hair style or you know? How do I get my hair to be bit more wavy if it's pin straight everyone's asking about perms, alright and in this video? I just want to explain to you guys about perms about body waves, different options you have if you want to get your hair to be a bit more on the wavy or even curlier side. So traditionally, a perm is designed to add curl to someone's hair. That has completely straight hair right, it's designed to add body, it's designed to add some wave. It'S designed to add some curl, but it's a chemical process by using a solution by using you know, rollers or perm rods is what we call them using endpapers, which is the paper that the rod is rolled into. Then there's this. You know the perm solution, so the the perm solution is chemically changing the structure of your hair and making it curl and adhere to that rod. Now the rods there's many different sizes. So if somebody wants really really really curly hair, I'm talking like really crazy, then you would need a really small, tiny rod. So imagine that hair, you know being wrapped around it. A number of times like this right, for example, we've got. We'Ve got that hair wrapped around the rod like this, and when we put that look that solution on and then take it off, the perm rod out it's gon na have that real spirally really really tight curl and the larger the rod. That means it's gon na be less curly, so that's really ideal for, like a body wave or if you're, looking for just a little bit more texture to your hair, but ideally a wave right. If you want like. Oh, my hair is pin straight. I need to have a little bit of a movement to it or a little bit of a slight wave. Then you need a larger rod which is usually around the white white you or a purple. You know from what I don't even do perms anymore. I'D be honest with you, but I keep getting so many perm quest. That'S why I want to make this video, so I mean as far as yes, you can get a perm. Will it help with certain hairstyles? Yes, okay, something like like this is obviously longer hair, and this is also a female mannequin, but if your hair is completely straight and you want to have this type of wave to it, you also need yes, the right haircut, but it will help you when it Comes to perms, you know, you've really got to find somebody who knows what they're doing, because they can either make your hair really really curly and screw it up. They can leave like little lines as far as indents by the way the perm rod is wrapped and in your hair and usually it you know it lasts a pretty long time the perm that goes with you and, and sometimes it does change the texture of your Hair, so it may feel a bit more dry. It'S a chemical process. You know it's. You know nowadays, with technology they're made to be bitter for the hair, but it's still a chemical process. That'S really it everyone! I want to just address that topic. I am because I get some getting so many questions about perms specifically, and this goes for men and women doesn't matter, you know, stay safe, stay healthy. Jason Miller: For those who are saying don't have wavy/curly hair because it's bad, first of all there is different type of waves and curls you have to be specific not every curly or wavy hair are the same, second thing try to stop using bad shampoo or over wash your hair like every day and don't use that poor towels you buy because it's gonna ruin your curls or waves air drying is one of the healthiest options out there to dry your hair or use Microfiber towels and you'll see how beautiful your curls/waves are, you will see your natural hair that should be without any External factors added to it.
yeverino1970: It’s crazy how in the last 4 years, perms are making a come back. I’ve done so many in all my years of doing hair. But guys are requesting more perms now a days. And if done right they do look amazing on guys. Great video
Matt Craft: Perm rods and how much hair is on the roller depends on how the curl or wave comes out. Too much on the rod will keep the perm solution to getting to all the strands. It’s a perfect balance on how much hair is on the rod and how long the solution is left are all variables that depend on how the perm will come out.

Riv Vin: Asians, specifically Korean men perm their hair all the time to add volume, wave and just for style. Many look great and natural. I perm mines. I have a short to med length with a mid/side part. Without it, my hair is straight and flat.
a m: 2A or 2B hair(slightly wavyish) is the best. Agree? You can style it easy like straight hair while also having great movement and texture like curly hair.

Ghost5.7: I'm a guy with medium length hair......about mid neck length. Problem is I've always had flat straight hair since I was younger.. absolutely no volume or no wave/curl whatsoever. So when it's down it just doesnt look right....ive recently learned how to braid my own hair and it literally only takes a few minutes. It's 1 braid that goes all the way to the back and leaves a braided pony tail. I apply some gel before braiding and apply hairspray after and then I'm good to go. What I'll do is I'll leave it braided for about 2 days, I'll sleep with a shirt wrapped around my hair so that it doesn't get ruined..then on the 3rd day ill let it out and it leaves me with nice curls/waves and lots of volume. I apply some more hairspray and rock that hairstyle for the rest of the day. Then on that night I will wash and shampoo my hair. It's a win win situation because I love when my hair is braided and when it's wavy/curly. This is the longest I've ever had my hair so I'm trying to experiment.
