Hey guys welcome back to the reagan, gentleman youtube channel, the reagan, gentlemen studio today, we've got santiago and here, how are you really good thanks so much you're good? I'M very well thanks mate. So what we're doing hey mate? What'S the plan, so my hair's been growing for about eight months now: okay and um, i always used to have it really kind of short back inside yeah um, but as i was growing it out, i realized i actually got some curls at the back and yeah. I was kind of going with it, but i think it's time it needs to be able to clean up okay and um yeah. I was hoping to kind of keep the curls and i've got a photo. Yeah yeah show me yeah yeah i mean i was thinking. I mean i saw a photo like this. I thought. Okay, that's timothy, i think um. That would be quite nice. I mean there's there's another there. So i think, if we can do this sort of thing, let's hope it's kind of keep the curls maybe get a bit more textured. You know yeah i'll, be honest. We can't create that look. Unfortunately, your hair is too straight and both the hair is a lot thicker than yours with the curl. So you wear your curls out at the bottom here that doesn't mean you're curly, hair yeah, that's just where most people have cayley at the bottom. So to create that it would be very hard to try and create the kales everywhere jeremy, because here your hair is so straight and fine that we wouldn't be able to get there, there's no way of getting curls in it. Unless we were to like create the curls more than cut the curls kills. Unfortunately, i hate to be the better bad news, because i know when you have your mind, made up on something it's hard, but um these curls here you can accentuate, but i wouldn't really know what are you looking to try and do with the length where you Think are going with it. I mean i'm thinking, maybe a little shorter i'd like to still keep it kind of mid-length um. Okay, so i don't know, i mean there's kind of like long bits on the side, so i'm just going to clean that up a bit um, okay, but still kind of yeah, keep it a little longer yeah mid-length that is mid-length to me. So what is mid-length to you yeah? I think i mean definitely just the sides like the side's getting quite long. I mean it's been eight months of growth at this point, yeah. Okay, so the sides are here: they're the sides, that's the top. Okay. So with the sides here we separate that out with the sides. How short you wanted that, because that is, that would be classed as a medium length haircut. So do you want to take more off that? What are you thinking i mean? I'M thinking yeah a little. A little bit off of this yeah, but i'm definitely getting some texture because currently it's just sort of long hair yeah and it's been growing for a long time getting some texture in yeah yeah. That'S fine! Do you want to just sit on the ear? Do you want to hang in just mid length over the air? Do you want it to be cut around the edge or leave it as it is now, and what what do you mean by by midlife yeah? I'M sorry for all the questions, but i need to kind of get inside your mind a little bit really. I mean i think i just like to keep. I mean you know the sort of mid-length hair, that's sort of where i'm at now. Yeah i mean i don't go to short hair because but but i mean, i think, a little bit shorter than what i've got now: okay, okay, yeah yeah, that's fine yeah yeah. And how would you want to wear it? Are you wanting to wear it like the center part? You'Ve got now yeah. What i tend to do is i um. I use clay, so i just got hair clear and i sort of brush that through my hair, okay, okay, um and yeah - that's i mean it tends to just yeah. I brush it like this yeah push that okay, i think we could do is if we were to take the neckline up a little bit here, but leave length here. You could get away with keeping more kill. I just think you'd need to keep more land here, though, so if the kale is a, if the kill is something you like, because i always go back to the thing that you speak about. First, because that's what's in your mind, because you come in with a picture of timothy anime, so you want. I know your expectation was that and obviously we can't do that. So i want to try and do something that we can try and still work with these curls. That you've got because you know i know you like them right and if you can keep them, you can keep them right. So if we were to take the neckline up and cut it so it comes straight across so essentially it leaves more length here takes more length off the back, so it looks shorter, but it's not here and then with the sides, maybe a little bit off the Sides to kind of just balance, ish um and then texture wise, i'm a little bit worried about doing too much texture in here, because it is very, very fine and texture. I i wouldn't put a razor through your hair, so the only texture, i'd probably do is the way. The section pattern is that's the infection. I would a texture. I would do because any texture, you start to thin the hair out and because it moves around very freely as it is now - and it is a fine texture it it might make it look damaged it could it could make it feel very, very fine, which i Don'T want to, i want to make it feel thicker. If anything. You know i need to get the thicker feel um so that what i'd probably do, but i think, maybe on the top, if you were to, if you would shorten your fringe a little bit, i need to cut it in a way that you could wear it. Just back or you know, kind of create a style of what you've got now um, so you could either wear it this way down the center over to the left, or you know anyway, you kind of want to wear it. You you could do that, but obviously with with the balance of the or of like a hairstyle in a sense, more than looking like it's it's grown out for eight to nine months: yeah, no yeah, so cool! Then all right! What we'll do we'll get you going up and yeah i'll start i'll start the back and sides? First, all right, buddy, all right, so guys i'm going to start with a horseshoe section on the back inside, because what i want to do is i want to create the shape that we're trying to achieve on the back and sides and again we want to. We want to add the texture to santiago's hair that is going to allow them to kind of, hopefully scrunch it a little bit. I'M hoping i can get a little bit of scrunch if we use the the label, men um thickening lotion or they can tonic. Sorry, i think i don't know, i hope so - i'm hoping we can in this in the way i'm going to texturize it. I want to try and cut the little bit shorter. Hopefully they will care a little bit easier, so we can try and have a few options that we can do with this, but essentially just kind of making it look like a hairstyle for him that he's been growing out. That'S the main thing today, but everything else is a bonus. If i can create some sort of care or structure to it. I create a you know a bit of a bit of a timothy look in a way, that'll be quite nice. If we can, there you go there, we go. Let'S start on this side, keep my left hand bottom like so so so so this is a little bit right. Look around to the left hand. Side now same thing follow the same guide and just work into the same shape, because what we're trying to create is one second: what we're trying to create is a sort of a cut within something that's grown out so again we're taking some length off, but we Really want to keep a bit of length, we want to keep some of the chaos going on there and just by taking this section and these patterns that we're doing with the sections will create our own texture. Now i don't want to start using. You know sort of uh, you know heavy texturizing techniques, because i just don't know whether the hair will stand up to it. I think it might just fray a little bit, so i think by doing these um texturizing techniques, i think as they like the section patterns. I think it'll work much better, as you can see, we get movements in this see, look at that creating movements in there. Now it's no timothy, but it's not far off mate. I'Ll, tell you it's not far off yeah you're, a wizard! Now, hey, hey i'll! Tell you, i think, he's still calling me that, like i don't i wouldn't say it's wizardry. I just say it's. It'S luck. All the time! Look at education! That'S all it is so so so right so tied up the side bends for him and now what we'll do is we will work on the left-hand side in terms of length and just try and keep some length through the bottom here, also all balances with the Back too just take them dry ends off, like so my way through the top now, and then it will dry it off and then we'll see the lens light once it's so dry, i'm going to dry clay into your hair today, so more than when you said Earlier, when you put the clay through when it's dry or is it when it's damp, it's done good, good, okay, cool! I just want to show you a little a little trick actually to get the best out the clay so um, whatever clay is you're using i'll i'll, give you a little tip. It'S really really. Cool works really well too. So, let's take this down now up here. There we go so i'll, take one section just off center to the left. I don't want to encourage your center part or, if i knock it into a center part, it allows to move different ways. Take a section up, i'm going to cut it shorter through the top just like that just so we can get a little bit of movement through the top as well so down. Oh all, right! Let me just draw this off a minute. Let'S see what it looks like so a little bit of clay. This is hans the food code and, if you ever use this before, but it's nice clay, i've got it in mine now and i've got this in my hair since about 10 o'clock small and holds the lid so work it through right through your fingers and then Scrunch it into your hair, like this now just tend to blow dry your hair uh. No, i don't know, but i want to show you what you can achieve if you do, okay, just by keeping some length and just adding that shape and that texture to it. Okay, so high heat and a medium speed and a diffuser what you do just twist together, it's in your finger and thumb what you do is you're drying the clay into your hair, so you'll still have clay in your hair it'll just dry in this type of Setting all right so you're left with a more messier, textured kind of finish a bit like some of the photos you showed at the start, um. I did not in a million years think that would happen. If i'm honest, i think it's probably more shawn mendes in a sense that i think yeah. What did you think was going to happen? Well, i was just all i was doing was: was cutting a bit of short texture in there just just to make it easy for you to style. Basically, that's what i was doing, but then, when i cut that right out this right-hand section and i kind of well no, it was actually the back here. It was, i kind of just run my fingers through and kind of grabbed it like this, and it moved around and like with a bit of bender. I thought okay put a diffuser on there. You can probably do something with it so yeah. So i put the clay in let this dry a bit more, naturally, first, because that will keep the hold in okay, so that will stay off your face, it'll just tangle down and then the rest is just driving for you, like so yeah you'll have a nice Shape, probably more shawn mendes than timothy, either way mate. I was going to say mate. I know if you get to pick one, it wouldn't really matter with it. So you know there we go mate. Oh thanks, very much man, that's very kind. Thank you. Mate cheers! You

Ryan Croy: This may be my favorite cut I’ve seen so far! Amazing work as always Dan. I think it was a perfect compromise of what the client wanted originally vs what the client was capable of having due to his hair type.
K Ratu: I'm glad Dan takes his time with the consultation with these clients, this client basically had no idea what he wanted after Dan told him that his hair wasnt curly
Aaron.styles3: LOVE these mid length haircut videos, please make more.
Rangell Art: Está de parabéns! É difícil encontrar esse corte aqui no Brasil e ontem fiz esse corte em um cliente. Ele amou !
Lucas Cooper: You guys should have a series or a playlist of just mens cuts for medium and long hair. Especially medium hair. Everywhere I go no haircutter knows how to style them and I’m in Miami! And guys are growing out their hair more than ever. There’s a very small amount of good professional videos of these kinds of cuts. Thanks a lot for the content.
Stephen Jones: I envy Santiago's hair. It's awesome and it'll look even more stunning if he now grows it a lot longer. Another triumph Dan.
Andy Willis: Love the waves you got into his hair, such great movement
Ciclopea2: Love Santiago's face at the end, like i knew we could pull it off sort of lol, amazing what Dan could do with his type of hair, and those scissor sounds keep me coming back lol
Dexter echiverri: Always so satisfying to watch you work. The end result is always so good. Kudos.
djcig15: I've been growing my hair out like this for over a year now. I've got wavy hair and my back is starting to curl excessively so I need to go get a trim soon. One thing I noticed is my stylist does not go in-depth on sectioning my hair and layering very well it seems. She just always trim the ends but doesn't seem to check the layers even though I ask her to do so. Maybe need to find another stylist?
Robin Burcham: Both before and after look great. Addendum: that looks pretty fantastic.
Jessie 986: Man that consult was rough lol but anything Dan does turns out amazing!
gere: New subscriber , Dan is awesome at what he does. I think I'll drive over to his studio immediately for a much needed pandemic haircut. What? He's in England.
M J: Love this video! Great work! Hope to see another medium haircut with thick wavy hair
xart23x: Kid was happy. Thats awesome. Looks great. So glad this generation of kids are letting hair grow out. Gives people more character imo. Best stylist in the world as always.
Daniel Ferrattes: Man, thats a professional, he listens to the client deeply and try the best to get to the dream haircut. My barber just chopp my hair off and I leave depressed and regreted!!
Lisa ATL Maisel: COOL cut, it really made his hair appear thicker too. Glad Santiago is happy with the cut too!!!
Lino: Wow what a haircut! Looks great on him
KnightFall: "Nah Mate, with your hair we can't do the Timothée Chalamet cut" Manages to pull it off anyway. Dan is more skilled than he might even realise.
Emerson Caronan: Amazing haircut with such simple techniques and a bit of product
Chris Amxy: I could listen to this barber talk all day - forget the haircut. Super with clients, handsome, confident. Okay, Dan - I'll marry you. :)
Susan Tomes: Beautiful cut. I love seeing men with these longer hairstyles. Very attractive..❤️
Roshan Jat: Another amazing job by Dan, can I ask what brand combs you use please?
RYN: 18:11 love when barbers/stylist say that.
Raymondio Goings Sr.: You knocked it out of the ball park ✂️
Louis D: I currently have a mullet and the back part has been growing for almost 8 or 9 months maybe. I’m not sure whether the mullet suits me anymore and I’m unsure whether to grow out the rest of the hair to like a flow or Liam Gallagher 90s cut or cut it to a generic short on sides messy top
Supreme Trimmer: Amazing as always!
mattjs: Dan is such a wizard, he should be in a Harry Potter movie
wallabumba: Greetings and much love from West Texas USA. I have to say I absolutely love the sound of the scissors--clipper clap. ASMR for sure.
Charles cordero: All the people saying it's a bad haircut clearly doesn't know anything about hair. Dan styled it the way his client requested which is a messy/curly look. The final styling doesn't define the whole haircut, styling can be changed countless times depending on the product used. And I'm sure it will look good without any product as well judging by the way he cut it.
Mr. S.: Model’s hair is very nice. His haircut grew very tidy and beautiful
bag ofhammers: Honestly i think a hair dryer is a game changer, it can make such a difference to guys hair
Blayne: outstanding cut!!
Thiago Felipe: This is finally something i can show to my barber!
JM Climacosa: Honestly it looks more like a Harry Styles hairstyle and i wouldn't complain
kndll: You should do another timothee haircut. Maybe with a photo from his photos shoot with saoirse ronan!!! ❤️
Krist Malacs: Let's give him curles ..hehe Dan is so good in his job. Boy got his haircut ultimately
Blake: Sometimes people wash their hair too much and don't moisturize it after or regular conditioner doesn't work so it is dry and flat and you can't tell that they have waves or curls. This dude seems to have some loose waves that are brought out by clay product that gives it that moisture it needs. I always add leave in conditioner to my hair because without it, it's dry and falls flat but when I have the leave in conditioner it's bouncy and wavy and sometimes even curly but if I were to shower and wash my hair with sulfate shampoo especially it would be wavy/curly when wet but once it dries it will fall flat and coarse and dry and you will probably think it's straight. This guys hair looked very dry so I could tell a bit of leave in conditioner would change his hair texture completely and give him his natural hair texture that he would have if not for the shampoo stripping the natural oils.
Tansley: Mate if he came in and said what he said to you I don’t think I’d have the patience. Some dude just think you can work miracles I’d just tell him to keep on growing it like the pic and use a diffuser
james Toma جيمس توما: What brand is your Scissors? Nice cut as always
dukenuk3m: do you need heat protectant with the diffuser
lulu B: Amazing skills
FishNDumb: Amazing!
Darragh Collins: Unreal job man!
Michael Basilone: Are those your main shears brother? If so, what company’s do you use?
dream: I dream of such a hairstyle but I do not know if it would be able to do it on my straight hair, which is depressing
Josefine Vesterlund: Love it
Michael 1RareZebra: I'd like the Timothée Chalamet cut. We can't do that with your hair. Okay then just a little off the sides should work
Paul McGreevy: Looks horrendous, worst one I’ve seen Dan do. Probably me just prefer neater styling.
S: I dont get why this man cant have the Tim Chalamet hair style. A curl cream or mousse would help with curls. You can get these styles with some care and time
Rolando Rimarim: This cut complimented his face shape. Like this cut
barry maple: Regal gent and/ or dan do you think you can achieve similar look with salt spray ? Which would you say makes hair look thicker ? Obvs i guess clay has more hold. My hair is similar and use salt spray an always looks a bit like I just got up or slept in a bush lol
Black Circle: Looked way better before. Not sure what the after is supposed to be
Q: Best haircut he’s had there’s no difference
hol'up: He looked way better before lmao
VD Lorenzo: Hello mate I'm really struggling with my hair IV been growing it out now for around 1 half years with the occasional trim, but I'm looking for a really good hair dresser and some professional advice, please can you help
Angel: Amazing shout out from Houston Tx !
Mark Power: Dan cud cut a wheel off a hamster Genius.
Don Indiana: He looks like a young Jason Momoa
Michael Escobedo: What’s the name of his hair style before he got the haircut?
Isaias Guzman: Clients like these are annoying asf lmao but you really gotta work with them when they want a haircut but then again they don’t wanna cut any hair off like what?? lol
Tigga *: Merry Christmas bro... blessings in 2022!
Vida Vuk: A message for friseur: please make more fitness
Coffee Lover: My hair is like his before, but thick and coarse. Feel like cutting short.
Emma Vlogz: I liked the before better it fit his head shape
Синхронный переводчик №1: why can’t you create curls with a “twirly” dryer?
BIANCA SHINGLES: His hair is too fine n thin to have the surf dude curly medium length hair style, cause his kind of hair will not be able to create that VOLUME N BODY that a surf guy has
Charles Entertainment Cheese: My god that guys handsome
Daniel son: Hello mate where do you work… I’d like my hair cut by you.
Mehraj Ahmed: Great haircut here
Foxy: nice cut merlin ;)
Mark Wagner: He is adorable
The: But regal gentalman, who cut your man
George Horwell: Fab vids. But why only the good looking guys
Paperboy: This kid will never pull that off doing it himself every day!
isik: his hairstyle looks like instant noodles
Caz: better before tbh
TRE FADEZ: Is that a 7 inch?
流流汗: 你只是剪一點層次而已 原來只要這樣就好 你應該不須要講那麼多
jacob2197: Luv the length but the styling at the end is very bed head lol
BIANCA SHINGLES: Sorry... i think the end product is disappointing. Shouldnt have cut your hair
Jansher V: Goated
Colonel Kurtz: Just out of curiousity, with the original length quite long, couldn't he have had his hair curled? I was thinking perhaps he could have gone for a slight perm to add waves and then got it cut & styled after that?
J. J: Suggest best beard oils
ParadiseB: The before was way better sorry now it looks like a mess
applejuice 57: was better b4 tbh
Mister Dathomir: I see no difference
Will Gazlay: The before and after look nearly the same….I really don’t know enough about barbering
Maaz Patel: Everyone think they got curly hair
FBI: Am I the only one who thinks this looks bad? One of the few times I think the guy looked better before Dan gives the cut. The before looks clean, casual and healthy, the after looks greasy, over-styled and full of breakage. Also the majority of guys including myself look better with an off-centre parting or side parting rather than the hair being brushed straight back or centre parted but he looked better when his hair was parted in the centre as it was in the before rather than brushed backwards as it was in the after, probably due to his hairline being that very strong v shape, the centre parting balanced it. I'd grow that back to how it was originally or go for a shorter cut tbh. Goes to show someone as talented as Dan doesn't always get it right.
Vida Vuk: Friseur talks terrible kind of english, it is so hard to understand. What is that for a dialect?
joni kejani: His hair is much better than Timothy’s hair
Terry Silver: Looked far better before. You butchered it.
Damjan Kusonic: So so so bad cut for his face dhape
Eve: Accent
Agatsuma Zenitsu: Dizlike
Stuart Stogdill: Horrible cut... I'd be pissed.
