Hi guys in this video I'll show you how I do this top knot and i don't use any shapers or any kind of volume, support or whatever you want to call it, and i don't tease my hair and I don't use heat on it. So it is a completely safe and healthy hair style and um. This one specifically works well with long hair, but i think, was shorter hair. This should also work so, if you're interested then just keep watching so the first step is obviously to brush your hair and then flip your head over and pull your hair into a vertical position, because the top knot is essentially like a vertical hair, stuck because it's Right on top of your head, when you flip your head over in your hair kind of naturally hangs down, then it's naturally in a vertical position and it's easier to work with alright. So now I'll show you how I gather my hair into a high ponytail and you will need a brush and an elastic for this. So um. You want to flip your head over like this and, as you gather your hair into a high ponytail, make sure that you use your brush to brush out any irregularity you. So this feels pretty smooth to me now I'm going to use my elastic and tie off. My point am okay, here's the result, so it should be very high and it should also be very smooth in the back and all around your head and to make sure that everything is really smooth. All around. I use a small mirror. This used to be a whole mirror, but now it's just a fragment and I use this to kind of look into a different mirror through this one, just to check that everything is smooth so yeah. This looks pretty good. You'Re you'll never make it look perfect. This hair stuff is definitely one of those styles that takes a lot of practice and skill and time. I guess it's not one of those hair cells that you can do on the go. I fine so um to make this fun into a good shape. What I do is I actually flip my head over again and I kind of spread it just all around my head, so kind of like a shaper actually, but without it so you're not going to need any other items, basically, which is what I really like about This one so you're going to flip your head over again and kind of try to get your hand into the center of the ponytail like this and then you're just going to spread it around the ponytail like this. So once that is done, you can actually start shaping your bun, so um, you don't want to spread it like all around your face because they obviously you're not going to be able to see so just kind of try to find an opening somewhere. For example, right here and then start shaping your bun this way so just gather your hair and kind of twist it around the bun, but leave it very loose. You don't want it to be tight at all, so just wrap it around the base of your ponytail and again make sure it's very loose and also with your other hand, on the hand, that's not doing the rapping make sure you kind of put some weight on Top of it just so, it doesn't kind of stick out in different directions and just pin it in place with bobby pins. Also, what i do when i put the bobby pins and i make sure that they all go into the same direction as the bun. So since I've been rapping, this way I'll also put the bobby pins in that way. So as you do, this make sure that you grab on some of your bun hair and some of your scalp hair right, because you wanted to stay in place, obviously, and just go all around the bun always use your other hand to kind of help. The bun stay in shape, that's that and I think my bun turned out in a pretty good shape if you're not happy, with the shape that you get just kind of tug on some of the strands to add volume where it needs to be. And as a final touch, what I always do is um, I kind of tug on the hair a little bit to create more volume and to um kind of hide. My irregular hairline, because i wanted. I don't know why. I, like my hairline, to be kind of circular like this, but it's pretty angular. So that's what I do you don't have to do it, but I think it does add kind of a more useful touch to this. So i just kind of tug on the little baby hairs just to make them come out, and it also helps to kind of rub your hair a little bit in a circular motion. Just so you can kind of get it out gently without causing other stress to come out as well, so that already looks a bit better and then I also grabbed some of the stress around my ears, and you don't have to do this. This is completely optional, but I kind of like it that way, and this is pretty much the finished look first, what it looks like from all the different angles, so it doesn't take too much time, but I think it does take a lot of practice and skill. Like for me, I sometimes even have to try like three times until I get it right, even though I do this hairstyle quite a lot, so just kind of give it a try and if it doesn't work out the first time, don't worry, that's completely normal. Just try again until you're happy with the result is a trick to making this really voluminous and big is basically to not twist very tightly. In fact, I almost didn't twist my hair at all, I just kind of wrapped it loosely around the ponytail base. So if you want a lot of volume, then that's what you should do. I hope this tutorial was useful for you guys. Thank you. So much for watching and I'll see you in my next video bye,
