Hey guys, my name is Kayla cake and welcome to my channel. So today I'm gon na be showing you guys how I got my hair this flat. I know my hair is so thick and it's like just humongous, as you can see in the thumbnail you're gon na see in a second how big it is just how, like I don't know. Sometimes I just be like how does my hair get this straight, but I got the T for you, sis without further ado: let's go ahead and get started if you are not subscribed, make sure you hit that subscribe button and turn on those post notifications that you Are notified every time I post, I said that real fast. I don't even think I said all the words but yagi mom singing are cha, so I usually just start off with my hair washed. Of course I wash my hair with the suave daily clarifying shampoo. This is like something that I just used for everything it cleans where I needed to clean. It does dry my hair out, but I restore the moisture. I just need all the products out of my hair, because my hair does not straighten well if it has like any heavy product in it, and then I conditioned it with the squab almond and shea butter conditioner. I just use this because it's very moisturizing it's cheap and it's just it works for me. So whatever conditioner works for you and just make sure that you wash it all the way out, like literally all the way out now, if I'm usually doing a bun or anything curly, I won't wash it all the way out. But since I want my hair to be nice and flowy, I make sure to rinse my hair out so good to where it's like nothing in it and the moisture is just inside of my hair instead of on top of it. That makes it so I just make sure to rinse my hair out real good, okay, all right. So then I dry my hair in a t-shirt. As you can see, I really find that my hair is this softer. This way it has been more moisturized. This way a towel is just too rough on my hair, like my hair is so I don't want to say soft, but like in certain spots itself, like around my edges, my hair is so soft and like it'll break off, if I'm just too rough with it, You know I'm saying so. I like to dry my hair with a cotton t-shirt, so now I'm gon na use. This is something that I've changed up ever since I've been going to my hairstylist now I'll link her down below if you're gon na DMV area, it was good blowout yeah I've seen my hair on Instagram. Okay, if you haven't, follow me on instagram at Kayla, cake and yeah, my hair, my hair me pop it okay, so I use this. It'S called it's a 10 miracle leave-in with keratin and I'm telling y'all ever so start using this, like my hair, just flows better. It stays more straight like it doesn't revert as quicks like I could literally go outside, not for a long time, but I could go outside and it'd be a hundred freakin degrees and my hair will not poop up like it could be a little bit humidity and My hair will be fine and I just have to wrap it and I'll be good. Where´S is because, before like before, I would straighten my hair, be nice and I would literally be in my house just doing nothing in my hair, a poopa. So with this says, she stays totally okay, I'm gon na just take some of this. I don't spray a lot. Let me close up my chicken nuggets before that's where she gives him much good nuggets, so I have to spray this in my hair. Just also acts as a heat protectant and I just massage it through my hair making sure it's all like you know up and through there. So now I'm gon na blow dry. My hair, I'm not gon na, do it on camera because I don't want to you know bust no fuses in my house. I'Ma go! Do it in my bathroom, but um yeah. I use this blow dryer right here. It'S by Revlon, honestly, you can use any blow. Dryer, I've had this since I've had this. Since I like right before, I went to college - and I graduated college like two years ago, so this bad boy is bomb shout-out to Revlon, cuz y'all, stop really be laughing and then what I do is I use a brush like this. I mean mine is all torn up, but it works. So it's just a vent brush, so I usually take the hair. I brush it in the blow dryer and I just go like this until it's pretty much straight, so I'm basically going like this. Also, don't forget to seat angle, your hair before blow-drying. It just makes everything easier, yah, so alright. So now my hair is blow-dried girl and she's lookin real cute. So honestly I section my hair into like three sections. So I'll do the back half basically like the back half, maybe this much and then I was section the top two and do these two sections. So if you have more coarse hair - or you know - I don't know like, if you have more coarse hair, I would recommend your smaller sections are better. So, basically, the more sections the better. I guess the way to get a blowout is that your blow-dry has to be literally immaculate. Okay, I never get heat damage. My curls tears my curls still snap back like so I mean hey. I never get damaged honestly. That comes from me. Taking care of my hair Wow um! Well, it's not straight like when I have it in a bun. I always have it in some nice oil or a cream or a leave-in conditioner, or something like that, just to make sure that my hair stays strong. So when I do flat on my hair, I don't get heat damage because I rarely flat on my hair. Yes, so onto the flatter, this is a flatiron I use if you're subscribe, you've seen this plenty of times it's the Remington. Once again, I've had this since, like probably my senior year at high school, and it still works perfectly fine, as y'all saw on my Instagram guy, was asking me - I got over like 40 plus games about my hair, so here we are also, if you are subscribed, You already know I rave about this product here. This is the argan oil of Morocco, they're extra penetrating oil for dry and coarse hair, because my hair is super super dry. So, in order for it to flow like that, I need it to be a little and needed to have moisture and you know so I don't take a lot. I take that much it's like you know, it's not a lot. It'S just running down my hand and take it in my hand - and I just run it through right here, not on my roots but concentrating it on my ends. Relief because that's the oldest part of your hair - and it is the driest for me at least so - focus on whatever part of your hair is the driest and then, of course, the crown of my head is a really really dry. So I try to put a lot there and also for my edges just to make sure they don't get dry and brittle throughout this process and then break off of course, and that's really all I use. I don't use a lot of this if you use a lot of this, your hair is going to fry and it's just going to not be cute. Okay, it's gon na be way down. It'S gon na, be you know it's gon na, be you so do not use a lot of that. Alright, so my hair's up and I don't take any special like sections or anything, I just take the size. I need you know what I mean. I don't take like. Oh, let me split it down here. Let me party with comb like I'll, be doing other than too much. I just take the sections, my hair, my hair shades like crazy. It'S always shed it like crazy. Just like nothing, I could do so. What I do I take a brush like this place. It right here at the roots. Take my Flatiron place it right right before the brush and I just drag it down. So I'm gon na speed it up and I'm gon na show you not in real time how everything comes out, and this is what you get so I'm taking this again, placing it at the root I'm holding the hair into the brush like this. I'M gon na make a little room for the flat iron check, those roots and now just drag it down. Sometimes I got switched because my arms don't mean Bend in the way they need to be, but, and there you go - oh Jesus, okay. So what I was saying talking to myself, what I was saying was: I'm glad I didn't finish and then realize that so what I do different at the top is that I basically i'ma show ya. So I part my hair wherever I want it basically, so I want a middle part, so I'm I parted it in the middle. It'S not perfect perfect, but I mean you get it so wherever I want my part the where I'm the way I'm going to wear it, I part it there and then I flat out my hair, which ever way it's supposed to go if that makes sense. So if I part it in the middle all this hair, I'm taking the flat iron and I'm flat ironing it this way and then all this hair, I'm flat ironing it this way. So that is the first thing I do at the top. So the second thing I do is when I'm flattening the front part I would take. I still do my chase method, but I will take the platter and go in this way so that my edges are really getting flat. As you can see like see how my edges are super flat, like usually what I used to have to do like back in the day I would have to after I finish everything I would have to go back and, like part off my edges and then like Hit it with a flatter, but I don't have to do that anymore, because I just go in this way, make sure my edges are okay and boom. As there we go there we go there. We go okay, so now my edge is a little bit more of this. It honestly depends on how my hair comes out on whether I put a little bit more of this, but just a tiny bit, and I go through my hair brooklet cuz we're about to wrap this, so you can wrap your hair any way you want. I really my hair doesn't wrap the best, but I make a deal to do with what I have. I really just. Sometimes I use a brush. Sometimes I want this. It doesn't really make a difference to be honest and where's, my probably in the bathroom. I don't use either use my fingers a brush on me honestly, it's whatever sometimes I'll use my bent brush, but it's in the bathroom I don't feel like. I want to get it and now just brush it around, but I'm really holding it like for dear life, and I use these clips to hold it in place. Okay. So now I look like to my auntie, so I use a little rap strip thing. I got this from my beauty. Spot store to be honest and you can get these. I don't really know exactly what they're called I've had this for years, so I'll take it and I'll do it like kind of off-centered, because since my hair is sticking up, I need it to lay down right. So I'll put the wrap thing. One kind of cricket and then I'll turn it the way that my hair is wrapped so that now everything is like lay flat and good all right and then I'll either go to bed or I'll. Just let this sit for about twenty to thirty minutes and then yeah we're good. It'S gon na come out so bounce yeah, so that is it for my, like at-home blowout kind of type of video. That'S all the products I use - and I am like really excited my hair honestly - has never looked this good before, like ever um. I definitely think it's a it's, the it's a 10! That'S a tongue. Twister! I definitely think is that it's a 10 product that, like literally changed everything okay, it changed everything like my hair stays straight like in humidity, now, not completely straight, but it stays straight for longer. You know also stays just like tamed and nice. It doesn't get poofy as much as it used to like it doesn't revert, that's one try saying so. Yes, I hope you guys enjoy take some tips and tricks' minutes video, and I will see you guys in my next one peace.

Kaila Kake: A lot of you have questions and issues so here’s some clarity. 1. YES this is my natural hair color. Not a box dye, nothing. 2. The title says “No Heat Damage” IT DOES NOT SAY “NOT HEAT” for all the people dragging me but not reading or comprehending. 3. No Heat Damage meaning my hair still curls back up perfectly after a wash EVERY TIME I do this process. If it was heat damaged, it would not curl back up all the way to my original curl pattern. 4. Any negativity will be deleted. My channel is all about positive vibes. Thanks everyone for the support!

Saar Estar: The way her hair looks when blow dryed is how mine looks straightened

Katelin: If your hair doesn’t take AT LEAST an hour to straighten, your hair isn’t curly

JennElvira: This makes me sad, because I want my hair to replicate this look, but I live in Florida and this entire state’s weather is disrespectful.

Planet Jigobot TV: I'm a black dad and this is really gonna help me out with my 10yr old when we are in between hair appointments.

alwaysontherise1: Update: followed this almost to a T (except for: 1. substituted the Leave In conditioner + keratin with L'Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray and 2. Went up to 440 then 450 for the front since my cutoffs are a little tighter) and my hair came out beautifully-- lustrous, flowy and voluminous This video wins. Two things standing out to me from others: you use a brush to chase the flat iron! And THANK YOU for adding the wrap tutorial at the end

Brianna G: I watch this video a thousand times. Every time I have the urge to straighten my hair curly hair I watch this video to satisfy my craving of wanting to straighten my hair. (If that makes sense ) I also think to myself how I don’t feel like doing all that either because it takes a lot of energy and time. Thank you for this video

Iisha Henna: This has worked a charm for me. I’ve always struggled with puffy frizzy hair. The products are definitely a holy grail for curly haired girls with frizz issues. Thank you for this video! New subscriber

janae: I literally did everything that you said and my hair turned out soooo good!!! Its better than when my aunt would straighten my hair and shes a hairdresser!!

DD M: Hands down one of my fav hair videos. So pretty curly and straight. Love it! ❤️

Amy Mitchell: Coming back here to say you ch aged my life when it comes to straightening my curly hair ❤️

Ghostient: I’ve been using a no frizz shampoo+conditioner, along with no frizz cream for my normal hair. It works pretty well. I’m thinking about using the no frizz stuff with a no frizz, heat protectant spray to straighten it. However, my tips ALWAYS stay frizzy and puffed up no matter what I do, even if I moisturize it :(

Mae O'Malley: we have the same exact curls and this was so useful thank you so much !!

Leslie Hammons: Girl!! It’s a 10 makes ALL the difference in my silk press at home. My stylist always used it but I never did and my flat iron would never come out right. Then I saw your video. I bought the 2 products you used and my silk press at home came out super bomb! Thanks for sharing.

Dayonna Roderick: GURL I TRIED THIS AND IT WORKS SO GOOD 10/10 THANK U SO MUCH

Simplirite: For everyone saying her hair blow dried is their hair straight. I hope you don't think anything is wrong with that. We are all different and have different hair types and genetics. All hair is good hair. And also if you're not getting bone straight results at home, its sometimes possible to achieve that result at a hair salon. So please stop putting your own hair down just because its not like someone else's. Love your hair!

Maggie Morgan: This worked great. My curly hair is now straight and silky. I can’t wait to wear it to school tomorrow!! This is now my go to style

Danjay Hill: So glad to see vids with great results where regular products are used nothing too expensive or hard to get.

TheMardBard: Are the chicken nuggets (3:24) an essential part of getting perfect straight hair like yours? If so, is there a specific brand you recommend, and how many should I leave in the box while doing my hair? Thank you for this tutorial!

Jada Van Heerden: I swear by this routine , my hair is just like yours and i came across this when i couldnt get my own hair bone straight and i get compliments all the time. I got this like maybe a few weeks after you posted. Love from SOUTH AFRICA

Melis H: Thank you so much. My hair has always frizzed up like less then 10 minutes after I straghtened and it looked horrible, but I tried this and it worked for my hair.

F&FUN: She makes it look sooooo easy....... girl, I have tried 2 times to straighten my hair, and it was ok the 2nd time. the first time......yuck. anyways. it took me 3 hours the 2nd time lol I love how soft and silky your hair looks after

Tia Lehnert: I don’t know I’m just now coming across this video but the end result looks so bomb! I wish I could get my hair to straighten like that! How much time does it actually take for you to straighten?

Joanne Lawrence: Oh man, the first leave-in product I ever used was It's A 10, and I had honestly forgotten how great it was. Seriously haven't been able to beat it for the price.

frodosdojo: You made it look so easy ! You are a lovely girl and your hair is gorgeous.

MissPriss: Sally’s has an amazing brush I found to straighten and smooth. It’s boar bristle on both sides. It clamps down and you get a lot of tension and shine from it. I think you’d love it. I found one called “Diane straightening brush” on Amazon as well! But the one from Sally’s has bristles really close together.

Nails4lifee: Thank you girl this helped so much ❤️

Rei: Wow this came out amazing. I hope I can get my blow dry and straighten this nice!

Jennifer Yates: Girl! Your hair is gorgeous curly AND straight!! On point for real!

Jazmin Jordan: Beautiful natural hair color and straightened hair! Thanks for sharing your process.

Victoria: Thank you so much for this vid!!!! My hair is pretty straight but my brothers hair is really coarse and rough and he's always wanted to be able to grow it out but he's always had to have it shaved down in a buzz cut. It's made him really insecure and we have been trying to find good products and straighteners for his hair. Again, thanks so much for the video and your recommendations.

jo_jo1983: Your hair is gorgeous before and after!

mona thomas: My hair is thin but frizzy with years of damage. Nothing worked. This video was so easy to follow. Thank you for not using loads of expensive products which itself puts me off. Loved the result. One side is still better easier to handle than other. But I’m getting the hang of it !! Thank you so much for this easy to do video

KatTheLavaGirl: My Mom showed me this video. I have super curly hair and I wanted to curl it. Thanks so much!

SuzieGutie: Gee, I’ve never owned a flat iron! You’ve got lots of pretty hair, gonna try your method. Your hair is beautiful either way! I had never in my life seen a wrap before, I learned something tonight! Awesome video!

canadianhaitian: Great video your hair looks !!! Wrapping my hair will be the death of me I can never do it right and when you guys do it it seems so easy

yashika sharma: You look so pretty without makeup too and your naturally curly hair are awesome ❤

Imani: I just tried to straighten my hair and it looks ridiculously puffy, stiff and like I brushed it out rather than straight. So frustrated. I spent hundreds of dollars on heat products and my hair is NOT having it. Hopefully this video helps

Nadia Briones: It was so satisfying watching u straighten your hair i forgot why i was watching ur tutorial in the first place

Daddy Jeon: I got my hair straightened the 23rd of this month (December) and it took 4 hours for it to be straight, at least an hour untangling it then another hour in the hair dryer (cause I had a solution in my hair to make it shiner and softer) and then the other two hours blow drying and straightening. Whoever has to go through this or something more difficult may god bless you

Mary Finch: Girl you got the whole package a pretty face pretty eyes and a pretty hair color

Jessica Kuli: You're so beautiful and this video is much needed. I want to flat iron my natural hair but I was a bit freaked out but after watching this I'll try it out.

V: This was so so so useful my friend has this exact type of hair and now I have an idea on how to help her out thank you <3

Shannon Evangelista: Your hair is gorgeous curly and straight!

Andrea Rodriguez: Girl your natural curly hair is beautiful! ✨

SimplyFaith: I’m late to this video but I’m glad I found it and that’s exactly how mine looks after blow drying it and I just bought the same hair product. I wanted a review on it because my hairstylist would use the “it’s a 10” on my hair I would always love the results . You sounded like me when you said you just grab the pieces you need I’m the same way not about to be parting the hair etc I just put it up in a bun and take the pieces I need as I go . I’m going to try the Morocco oil for my hair seeing your results definitely going to try it . You be using the pins too I do that too after I first flat iron my hair . I also have curly hair like you so it’s like my hair would frizz in the weather which became annoying to me I wouldn’t even be doing much then boom it would frizz so I’m going to consider the morocco oil and combine that with the it’s a 10. Your video was very helpful for me thank you !❤️

Marianne Gibson: Gorgeousness. Thank you for being so thorough! I'm trying this.

Taneka Henry: Omg , thanks for the tips! My hair was very this great when I flat iron my hair. The chase method really helps. Tears of joy! Salon Hair at home!! Thanks!

Kawaii Kao: Love your hair! It came out so nice. :)

Amxni Queen: Finally someone who straightens it Really straight ❤️

Ellen: I don't know why but I love watching curly hair becoming straight. ❤

Manifesting with KarmicSightGal: I am buying that product immediately. I love to wear my hair straight but it never lasts and it takes heat damage easily.

TheKrista5: I can't get my hair silky straight. It feel like thick straight.

MJ: So amazing! Thank you!! You are beautiful!! I have one question: how long does your hair stay straight after you straighten it? Thanks xx

crysta marie: Your curly hair is so beautiful.. no need to straighten it.

Sister Tea: Wow your hair looks so healthy and shiny after u straighten it...I’m totally trying this!

chyrl: I like that you use minimal products and inexpensive ones at that! Love it

misty sweat: I can’t believe your hair was that straight when you blow dry it. I would love to see a video of you blow drying your

Mermaid X: You’re strong for doing this, my arms would be dead your hair is beautiful oh my goodness

DH: I needed this VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We literally have the same hair and ive been looking for straightening techniques :) thank you

Lucary: Very nice result. I’m really curious how long this whole process took, it seems like it would have taken forever!

Sherie Hollis: You are beautiful!!!!!! You did an amazing job on your hair...I hope my hair comes out like this...i have wavy and curly hair...it will frizz...but i remember my hairdresser used the 10 product you used and my hair was BOMB!!!!! SO I WILL BUY IT AND TRY IT MYSELF THANKS

Allie MacDonald: If you have 3b or up I’d recommend using steam pod by L’Oréal. I have 3c hair and used to use a normal one and it would take 4 hours to finish but now I have the steam pod only take about a hour, also does way less damage and hardly any friz, definitely recommend !

Ali bey: Your hair is very pretty and Healthy. Love the results. Definitely will try this on my 3c hair. Thanks for posting.

Jean Keats: Your hair looked really boss after you blew it dry even without flat ironing! Love the color! Mine's platinum but not by choice. I had a nice rich, chestnut brown but my hair color began to turn early in life. I didn't like the red pigmentation in my hair before I lost the color but now, I'd take it! Yours is kind of like a golden brown. Your hair is so bouncy and shiny too! You don't need to do much to it for it to look great!

Kendra Bell: Great video! So helpful. Beautiful hair and model.

Ari LA: This is exactly how I straighten my hair and it gets straight! Never could I use a rat tail comb, I have more control with the brush. It stretches my roots out and follows through making everything smooth! Amazing tutorial!

Keisha Jennings: Your hair is perfect. You don’t need to flat iron it.

R a i n: Your hair is beautiful without heat omg and your eyes are beautiful too

I B: My hair isn’t curly like yours is, but it takes me WAY more than an hour to straighten since it’s long, frizzy and thick. Sometimes I’ve gotta get my mum to straighten it for me since I sometimes can’t handle it.

Elin Ekberg: So beautiful & good tips!

Laurial: Hey girl! I’m soooo glad you made this tutorial because we have the same type of hair all around with thickness, curl pattern, and color! Since being natural I haven’t straightened my hair the last two years so I’m excited to do it for the Holidays!

Pamela Tapia: such beautiful hair! and great tip about not putting too much of the argan oil in your hair, I've out too much thinking i needed all of it and it actually made my hair feel so nasty, so less is more.

Jennifer Williams: Thank you for your excellent presentation! Thank you for doing the video! I appreciate all your details! Keep up the excellent job! God bless you!❤️

Gina G.: So beautiful curly and straight, not to mention just your persona! God bless and loved the video

Zy'neka Roberts: I can smell the flat iron through the screen....Inspiration for my hair straightening day! :)

Alexis Cruz: I used this tutorial and I’m so happy I did! I haven’t flat ironed my natural hair in years. I’ve done a couple of big chops and after an attempt to flat iron my hair last year and it was awful. I do have a different hair texture than you and wanted to share some variations that worked for me! I used Dr. Bronners pure Castile soap to wash my hair. Just like you said in the video, if you have product build up your hair will fry and feel brittle as heck if you apply heat to it, this is the problem I ran into when I tried flat ironing my hair last year. Like make sure you part and wash your hair really well. And ironically enough I had just bought some it’s a 10, and I’m so glad I did. I applied it to my hair when it was damp after towel drying and I feel like it made such a huge difference in the blow dry results. After I blow dried I used garnier fructis sleek and shine anti frizz serum, I like this better than the Argan oil product used in the video because it’s much more light weight and again you will not get good results if you have too much product in your hair! After I flat ironed, I used the serum again to wrap my hair. It came out so nice!! Thank you for this video!!

Christy Jdaidany: Sis.. where has this video been when I was straightening my hair everyday my heat damaged curls could never but imma start doing thissss
