Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi, beautiful revlon just released a brand new version of their one step, hair, dryer and volumizer, and i'm excited about it, because if you saw my last video about this product, the older version of it, you would know that i am a fan of it. Is it the all-time greatest best thing in the entire world? No, is it very affordable and does the job pretty well hell yeah here she is. I have her in the studio with me. This is the one step. Volumizer plus apparently means it's better than the last one i don't know we'll find out. I will be testing her today on different hair textures, as well as just going through everything on if you should buy it or not, and what is good about it. What is bad about it, and just really everything you know how this goes and then also later i'll, be comparing it to its older stepsister, the one that doesn't have the plus at the end and seeing which one is better. So, let's do it. I have to say my first impression is this: bow is so cute now let me rip it off. Okay, thank you um! So here we are, it says 75 shinier salon blowouts in up to half the time. I don't know what that means or how you measure that, but um there's an asterisk on. It says compared versus drying and styling separately, based on lab testing. That actually makes a lot of sense because it just takes half the time if you're not using like a curling iron and a blow dryer. I guess that's what they're saying fifty percent less heat damage, comparing two there's stars next to it, based on lab testing. Does that mean what are we testing? Okay? Moving on, i was actually just gon na open the box, but i'll show you okay, great, i'm gon na open it now. I feel like some people like the opening process, so i wanted to show you so here it is. It is obviously much smaller than the previous version. It feels nicer. I like things that are smaller for hair. I just feel like you get a better grip on the head. You can get that root better and like i can actually wrap my hand around this. I don't know if the other one's like actually larger, but it feels good and i like the fact that you can take this head off and like pack it away like this. I, like the color scheme. I like the matte handle so my hand doesn't slip. Oh, we also now have cool low, medium and high. I believe the only the other one only had like three options, so i guess they just added another option. Okay, the website also claims to give you 75 shinier blowouts in one step. I love a good claim and if you don't know about claims, you actually have to have a study done um where people basically blind test your product or your appliance. And then the study comes back and these are the results. 75 is not the highest percentage, but it's not bad either, but it's good! It'S fine! I don't know what they're comparing it to. I didn't see an asterisk on that one, but 75 shinier, so we're gon na. Let'S take that how it is. It also claims to have 50 less heat exposure. I don't know what they're comparing these things to, because even when it says what they're comparing it to it still doesn't make sense. So take that how it is, i guess, that's good. I mean 50 less than anything. I guess is good not really, though, because they could be literally putting a torch on the hair and being like it's 50 better than putting a torch in your hair like okay, thanks revlon, we have these plastic bristles on here. I believe from my research. This part is titanium, which is a new feature, so titanium is great for the hair and smooths out the hair. Amazingly, oh, this is actually a lot thinner. This is 1.4 inches in diameter. I also always love this little hole here. It'S just satisfying for your finger and while you're blow drying like i don't know, i like a lot and a little filter on the bottom, a cord. Oh, you know what i actually don't like about revlon products. This is not long enough. I mean, i guess it is if you're just blow drying your hair in your bathroom or something but like it's. My arm span give me more cord. Please like, let's not be stingy, also this swivels, which is great. I love a good swivel because i hate when cords get wrapped up. I don't like it and i don't want it. So you guys came to see me try this out, i'm sure. So, let's try it. I have two clients here today. Are they here they're here? Send them in they're here so i'm gon na invite them in and get them prepped and we're gon na do a little hair. We have miss manny quinn, one with our straight hair. You guys haven't seen her before she's looking fabulous, and then we have our more frizzy wavy coily hair. We will be testing this instrument on both of these women and seeing how they perform when we try it on this girl over here. We'Re gon na be able to see if it gives you a lot of bounce at the root if it gives you a lot of bevel at the ends and just seeing if it gives you all-around volume. This girl over here we're gon na see if it smooths her hair out and just how smooth it makes it and how shiny it becomes. I'M gon na do half their head, so you can see the comparison on the other sides and let's do it. What i would do with hair of this texture, i would probably put it on medium. She does not need high heat, we're gon na see if we can use a lower temperature and still get great results. Just let you guys know i just tried low medium high. They all feel relatively the same. I'M not gon na lie. Um hot is piping hot. Let'S definitely only use that for like coily, hair, um and really stubborn frizzy hair, so i'm just gon na dab in our hair. Really quick before i start, please use a clip and section your hair when you're blow drying it makes things so much easier. Okay, first impression, it's good like i like it. I like that it's really giving me a lot of bounce. So far i feel like i was able to get a really good grip on the hair and really like turn this thing into the scalp to get really nice body on the hair. So, let's keep going. I should also mention that i'm spraying force field in, and that is the only product that i'm using on her hair. I don't want to affect the results, but i also want to protect her hair and this protects your hair up to 500 degrees fahrenheit, as well as speeds up the drying process by a lot. So, let's spray that in it only takes a couple squirts a little goes a long way with that stuff and let's finish this off well, i finished her blow dry and, as you can see, i haven't really touched it yet, but we are already getting beautiful movement In our hair now let me just run my hands through and break it up a little bit, and oh, my god, i'm gon na be honest. My guilty pleasure on tiktok is watching people with like really long wavy hair blow out their hair with these revlon blow. Dryer things her hair looks great. I think we can both tell it looks phenomenal. I put very little effort into this and it looks amazing um. This is why i'm a fan of these blow dryer rushes, just makes things so much easier. Look at that like twist. We have on the hair that body that movement that shape. That is because this is a perfect size for a hair that is this length or shorter or honestly longer. If you want like a lot of curl in your hair, i think it worked really well. I think it definitely got hot. It definitely burned my hands a little bit. Is it the safest for your hair? I don't think so. Is it nice, though yeah? My next client is here, though, and we're gon na try it on the wavy hair, hello, miss manny quinn. Let'S try it on you. Shall we so we're going to do the same exact process? I'M just going to wet her hair down on this one side and we're going to see how easy it is to blow out this wavy furby hair and with this hair, i'm gon na make sure i take smaller sections than before and we're spraying our force field On there, of course, and let's bring our first bin, i'm gon na use it on high heat today now normally, i would put a lot of products in hair like this, because wavy and curly hair tend to really soak up that moisture and we need a lot Of it in this hair texture today we're not using any so i can really show you guys what happens when you use just the blow dryer alone and it's not affected by anything else, and that's it. I am finished and let me tell you that was really easy. Obviously, her hair looks a little crazy because she has so much volume, but it is a volumizing brush. That is what it's made for. Does our hair feel great? No, but did it feel great to start? No. Is there really any product in it? Besides the heat protectant? No, i am not really like judging it based on that, but it's quite shiny and it's definitely um straight. It didn't take much work so in my book that was a success i mean look where we came from and look where we ended up i'm impressed and thank you for being here today now before we compare her to her her older stepsister. Let'S talk about my findings with the new one, i dig it. This isn't gon na be the best thing for your hair, but it's definitely going to work, definitely want to make sure using the right products, a heat, protectant oil, a leave-in conditioner, a cream. All of it and any of it just put it in your hair. I do not want to see you frying your hair off with this thing. It'S definitely intense, but i do enjoy it. I think it did a great job of smoothing. It was very fast and efficient love the bristles. They give you a good amount of grip and i really enjoy it as well as the heat settings. I didn't see much of a difference with them, but at least they're there. I don't know. I don't really have much to say about that part, but i do think it is a great tool and at target this costs 69.99 a decent price. I wouldn't say it's like phenomenal, but i wouldn't say it's bad either. It'S pretty much just like a good price. So 70 and you get a blow dryer and a brush all in one, and it honestly does make your life a lot easier. So i would say this is worth it and i do like the plus version of the volumizer blow. Dryer thing. The name is complicated. Okay, listen now the moment you've all been waiting for. I don't know if anybody cares, but we are going to compare it to the old version, except at the same time, on amazon. It kind of lists this as like just a different size, as well as like sort of a different version. Also, the whole marketing is confusing this one's a lot smaller and this one's a lot bigger, and this one's also a lot taller, they're kind of very similar feeling. Obviously, you're gon na get more straightening benefits with this one and more curling with this one, because this one is smaller and this one's larger you get it and it has more of that flat surface, whereas this one has more just a little bit of a flat Surface and then it is an oval. This claims to have a 40 longer lasting battery. It'S not cordless. They mean battery by like the length it lives on, for i don't know, they're not making sense on revlon's website, which i couldn't even find. The old one has built-in genuine ion generator, which is new for them. It'S so confusing this one said genuine ion and this one just said ion who the hell knows the difference, because i don't also on target this. One is 55 and again this one is 69.99. So you're saving like 15, if you buy the old one versus the new one, and the biggest difference that i could find are two things. The heat settings which honestly now that i think about it, is not that big of a difference because they both get hot and they both just feel really hot. But the other biggest difference is that this one is ceramic, which is a cheaper material than titanium, which this one is uh. Titanium is really great for smoothing out hair and giving you that beautiful, shine and ceramic is more of an affordable material and doesn't give you as much shine. I prefer titanium plates over ceramic any day, so that is a huge plus. So now that we already have one side of these girls heads blow dry with this baby, let's try it with this one and see if i find any difference. Okay on to the wavy hair, i have to say so far. My findings have been very interesting and i'm excited to share with you. Okay, i have completed the task. I have blow dried, the other side of the head with the original volumizer blow dryer. This is the side that i just blow dried, and this is the other blow dryer the newer one. They look exactly the same. I liked the old one better for this purpose. I think it was much easier to blow dry the longer hair with the larger brush. It took like half the time and all around it felt very, very, very similar, if not the exact same as the other plus version of this, but they actually do on amazon. It actually says if you have longer hair use this one. So i agree with that. I think the original is great for longer hair. I think having the larger brush is just so beneficial and now we have our coily hair, as you can see, there's not much of a difference going on here, but when i was blow drying i felt like i could get a better grip on the hair with The smaller brush with hair, like this, i probably would have used a smaller brush like i wouldn't use a gigantic 4.2 inch round brush to do hair like this. So i definitely like this smaller one better and i feel like it just smoothed your hair out. A little bit better they're, both very comparable, though - and i don't know if i would be like gravitating heavily towards one or the other - it was a very similar process overall. Would i recommend you buy the new one step, hair, gyro and volumizer, or the old one for 15 less and it's a little bit bigger honestly, i think they're both good, i think, for this price range. This is a good product. Is it the most amazing, astonishing, state-of-the-art piece of hair care technology? No, i would love to compare one of these to the dyson air wrap as well, so i definitely think the airwrap will probably outperform these, but for the price range if you're balling on a budget. These definitely do the trick and you can honestly go with either one i'm not seeing a huge difference or a huge benefit to either they're. Both very hot do pretty much the same thing, one smaller than the other and one's a little more expensive. I would probably go with this one, the smaller one, just because i like newer technology and i feel like i get more grip on the hair. I like more body and weight, my blowouts and i like titanium plates. So that is my choice. It would be the new one. The old one is just fine girl. That was a lot of work. I'M sweating. I hope i could help you make a decision between the two or, if you should just even buy the new one or not, it was fun. It was legit, i'm ready to um, take a shower cause, i'm sweating. NM: It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.

The little Trujillo: So happy to hear the 1st ones better for longer hair. I bought the first one just in the last couple weeks and then of course another new one comes out! I just had a surgery for double mastectomy and it’s been hard styling my hair like before and this blower brush helped soo much. ✨ Girlz PLZ stay on top of your breast health!! DO NOT WAIT TILL 40 FOR A MAMMOGRAM! ESP if you have lumps or concerns! Trust me at 35 I can attest it happens you get then 40s✨ It has made styling my hair much quicker and less work yet looks better! I’m having less damage and after my treatments my hairs improving greatly instead of just repairing heat damage like before. I love how the next day after styling about 5 min just re going over what I did the day before adds the volume and curls the ends without having to completely wet and restyle it altogether. Your last video sent me scrambling to Amazon and now I’m glad I don’t feel I need to upgrade so soon because the features are way better

Tina Clayton: I'm waiting for Brad to release a hair tool line for us. I'm sure it would be affordable. And he'd have the expertise to make it better than the ones that give you "you need this, and these and this" he'd find a way to make an automatic curler. That you could adjust to the curls you want. Lol. I have faith in our beautiful human lol

Songbird: “They could be literally putting a torch on the hair and saying ‘It’s 50% better than putting a torch in your hair!’…like, ok, thanks Revlon.” CRACKED ME UP.

dannieros3: I bought the original and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been able to do the whole hold the dryer in one hand and brush in the other. I’m not coordinated like that lol So this thing has been a lifesaver

Cortney Galli: The original is my favorite hair tool ever, I’ve been using it since it came out. My hair has gotten healthier (previously used a regular straightener religiously lol). I also have long hair and ALOT of it, my hairdresser is always amazed, every time haha. I really want to try this new one though because it looks a lot smaller in size.

Say Hello: I’ve used the original for about 4 years- L.O.V.E. It. ✨ TIPS✨ -Don’t use it on soaking wet hair. Make sure your hair is at least 70% dry. -Start with the bottom and work your way up. -Work in small sections. -Continuously turn and pull the dryer so there is always tension on the hair— that’s what straightens it. -Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry. -If you want more volume, pull the dryer straight upward. If you want bouncy ends, pull the dryer out to the sides. Your hair will be beautiful!

Christine Schumaker: This was so helpful! The older version is on sale for $38 at Target right now and I was on the fence on whether to "splurge" for the newer one or basically pay half for the original. Buying the original, thanks! Also, would love for you to compare this to the Dyson Airwrap like you mentioned!

Vanya C: I have a lot of hair, it's long with a wavy texture and I can honestly say that this revlon hair dryer (the older version) is one of the best things I have ever tried and I cannot live without it! It has made my life so much easier! However, if you have fine or/and straight hair it wouldn't really do much more for you than a regular hairdryer and a brush!

MJ: I had the original and just bought the new version. My hair is above the shoulder and I get much better volume and bend with the new one. It's also lighter weight, so I find it easier to use. I think for shorter hair, newer is the way to go.

brooke burkett: Just a tip for anybody looking into this. Right now at Walmart, they have these in the after Christmas gift items at 50% off. The older one is $19.88 and the newer one is $24.88. if you're on a budget, go get one before they're gone!

Lorena Arnette: I recently purchased the older version. It was actually $25 less than the newer one, at my target. I’ve been loving it so far. I have medium length hair, dense and wavy hair.

N fischy: For the Type 4 hair folks: if you have fine strands, I do *not* recommend the high heat setting for this dryer. 1) it gets hot, hot, so definitely use heat protectant even if using the cool setting, and 2) that high heat setting is not the best for fine fragile strands, imho. If you have coarse strands (a larger strand diameter) then maybe your hair can handle that high heat setting, but I’d start with the medium heat setting first. Tip: That 2nd mannequin had a silkier, wavy, not coily hair pattern so keep that in mind as looser wave & curl patterns straighten differently. I have fine, fragile type 4 hair that’s low to medium density—meaning when straightened, the diameter of my ponytail is only 1”—and it doesn’t require a lot of heat; I start with heat protectant on really damp hair and only use the medium heat setting with this dryer, and then do one pass with the Remington Pearl pro flat iron (on 360° to 380°), and my hair ends up looking just like the first mannequin’s 1st results. I’ve used the high heat setting *after* hair was already dried using the medium heat to achieve a textured blow out rather than bone straight hair with a flat iron. Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.

Mrjudsonjames: Hi, professional hairstylist of 26 years here. It’s worth noting, if ppl are worried about burning their hair, and considering how hot you mention these brushes get in the video, I would be leaning towards the older model with ceramic instead of titanium barrel. Titanium is a metal and is a conductive heat, which singes the hair as it heats the outside cuticle of the follicle. Ceramic on the other hand is a radiant heat, and tends to heat the hair more gently from the inside out.

Karen Curtis: I always love your comparison videos you say it as it is ... no fluff. This product is in my price range and the new model is on my Christmas list from me. Stay safe stay well x

OffWeGoNow: I'd love to see a comparison with some of the other lower cost versions of this if you ever do one vs the Dyson! I have fine hair and use the John Frieda/Conair Infinite Pro one bc it's smaller and gets a little less hot, but as my hair grows out I've been wondering if the Revlon would be a good investment!

LJ B: Best blow dryer I've ever had. My hair is curly and down to my bum. The larger one is what I've owned for a year now and it truly takes half the time to do my hair and I don't need to bother with a flat iron anymore! Love it!

EmilyinSpace: Ugh I just bought the old one after seeing your video. I love it. It's the best thing I've ever tried. I have very thick course curly hair and it takes me 2 hours to straighten and this has made it easier and faster and makes my hair so shiny and silky

Katey Peterson: Brad, you are exactly what I need after a long day! Always a mood booster!!!

Lovelynelly 92: For those saying these revlon dry brushes are to hot! I agree I just bought conair the knot dr brush and its so much better ! Love it just make sure ur hair is 70-80 percent dry then use it :)

Kara-Ann Booth: I have 3a/3b hair type and I love the original version of the tool! I used to NEVER blow out my own hair because of the difficulty with a tool and blow dryer but now this made it so easy for me to do my own hair. I keep it on the lower setting so the damage isn't quite as bad with plenty of heat protectant and I feel like my hair comes out smooth and soft and my ends aren't fried!

jennifer johnson: Thank you, thank you #BradMondo for this video. You definitely helped me feel good about the Christmas purchase I made for my daughter. Really long hair on her but the older version and you solidified for me that was the right choice. Love your reviews thank you so much

Mad About Skin: Love you Brad.. You gave me the confidence to set up my skincare channel and now i have 60k subscribers.. Honestly wouldn't have been possible without you and i love your content.. Love you x

AShineeStarlitInSomniac: Thanks for the review for the new one! I bought the old version months ago and I love it (just hate the cleaning process). The new at least makes it easier to clean because it gets dirty with build up QUICK. Wish Revlon let us turn in older models for a discount on the new models lol

Trish A: Thank you SO MUCH for doing this comparison review! I purchased the plus version (in pink) on ulta's website last night for in store pickup. I'm half way through doing my whole head of thick coarse shoulder length hair and I'm IN LOVE! I had watched a couple other reviews and then saw this one and said "ok, I know I can trust Brad Mondo." So, I bought it. SO MUCH EASIER than doing my hair myself with a round brush and dryer! Now I need to go buy some Brad Mondo hair products to replace the "other" thermal protectant.

Jennifer Liebo: You’re awesome! Just found you like last week or something. I love how you’re honest and also understand that some of us at home can’t seem to master the brush and blow dryer at once . Also that you know some people will cut their own hair . I ain’t one of those cuz I’ve got super long hair and I’m scared to F it up really bad . Getting a hair cut Tuesday and can’t decide whether to take the plunge and go back to layers or not . I’ll need something like this if I do . Ima check out your other styling tool videos

Katie O: OMG I love how you're low key roasting all the claims on the box! I always ask the same questions. Random claims are so empty and I hate them. I want the juicy data already!

Estrellitawilliams: I personally love the Revlon One Step Titanium. It came out right after the original. it’s the same barrel size as the one that’s featured in this video

Fran Latzke: What hair dryer brush (other than Revlon) would you recommend for super fragile, fine hair? It sounds like both Revlon products have the potential to "fry" your hair since there isn't much difference in heat settings.

Katcar: I just purchased the "old one" for $28. I cut 4" off, the length is 3" past my shoulder. If I'm not doing anything in particular, I let it naturally dry and I have curly hair. If I'm going out, I blow dry & use a flat iron. It's starting to annoy me as to how long it's taking me to do my hair, which is why I started looking for the Revlon brush hoping to get my hair done faster. I usually air dry while putting in my makeup. So I wasn't sure of the job it was going to do. I used mousse and a protectant. My hair was completed within 5 minutes. Straightened my hair & it had volume. The next time I tried the brush, I used the same products, but decided to style it while my hair was still completely wet. My hair had a lot more volume, looked shinier, and had more bounce. It may have taken me 7 minutes tops. The next day I was able to go out without having to do anything other than brush my hair. My hair I dried from wet looked much better. I won't use it every day just to save my hair from being damaged, but I do love it, it's easier & faster than the flat iron. Also it took me this long to buy it since I'm not into spending money on gimmicks. Totally worth it!

Missa Rose: Thank you for using more than one hair type! My hair is fine like the first mannequin, but has a texture similar to the second. This gives me a pretty good approximation of how it would handle my hair.

tamara: I have the first one BUT I bought the short/medium hair version so it had the barrel of the new. And I found it 45% off…basically a really good deal ! I often put my hair in a big clip while they cool down to avoid them catching moisture and losing the blowout. It’s rare but when you do this in the bathroom after a shower, it happens. But HELL THIS IS A LIFE SAVER ! I know how to do my blowout but this brush helps me a lot, I have a free hand and I can use it to guide my hair a lot better than the usual blowout I do. *Less time consuming too so less damage on your hair*

KT Patterson: I bought the first one in beginning of 2020 and it only lasted me 3 months then it just died. But I made a lot of mistakes. I used it almost everyday with my hair fully wet and it was always on high. It even burned off a small chunk/strand of my hair but after learning more I realized -I did this to myself. I loved it because of how easy it was to use and I only needed one tool. Im gonna buy this new one and be more careful and obviously not try to do my hair daily. Sorry hair

Futt.Buckerson: Living my best hair life vicariously through Brad. I always look forward to your uploads.

filmbuff000: I have the older product and it works extremely well. I have thick, wavy hair that I dry to a straight style with a slight flip at my shoulders, plus side part bangs. It's faster than blow drying and leaves my hair sleek and shiny, with no damage at all. Also able to add volume. It SEEMS too big to work well on my hair, especially my bangs, but surprisingly I'm able to do everything without resorting to the smaller blow dryer.

Trena Richardson: As a side note, your hair looks amazing! Your stylist did a great job

Sammi Romero: Hi Brad! First time commenter here. Thank you for the blowout videos and which brushes to use! The previous video about the older version of this blowdryer/volumizer is great because now I have a better idea on how to practice using it :). Have a nice weekend!

Heather22522: I have this product. I don't use it very often because I find there's just too much heat damage even using on low and with a heat protectant spray. It's good to use once in awhile when you have somewhere special to be but not for daily use

Carolina Grammy: Thank you so very much for this review, Brad. I've been wanting to get the original one for a little while now but after your review I'm definitely going to get it! So thank you for helping me with my decision. I JUST LOVE YOU AND YOUR CHANNEL, HANDSOME! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Sending you love from North Carolina ❤️ Sheri ❤️

JessicaDarling2: You’re so right about those percentages…it’s a huge marketing scheme. For example, they will ask a group of stylists if they recommend several hair tools and then say 80% of of the stylists recommend one like it’s superior to the others. Plus they use a tiny, tiny sample group.

MsPixieD: I was happy to get the older one at Costco, and after seeing your video comparison I'm still glad. Thank you for showing how the older one is good for long hair so I don't feel bad about missing out on the new features.

sarah: My hair is very stubborn and tends to be super dry so my waves never looked pretty and defined and I just couldn't achieve a nice blowout with a round brush so I bought this brush (the old version) a while ago and let me tell you for me that was the best investment I ever made. Haven't touched my straightener ever since I bought this, it's super easy to handle imo and I personally didn't notice any heat damage since I started using this. So if you're struggling with your hair like I did this is definitely worth a try. I'm super happy with it <3

Laura Salgado: I've been using the, Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Titanium Max Edition for well over a year, and I like it so much better than the original version. The barrel is different.

Jennifer Lavender Braun: Hoping the removable head means they’ll offer replacement heads. I’m on my second one because my thick course hair wore out the brush bristles after a year. Most were flattened down and stopped gripping my hair as well.

Lea M: I was just looking for a one step hair dryer. This is actually the second video I've watched about this particular product. I usually buy hair dryers with attachments that end up breaking off over a period of time. It's really annoying having to purchase new attachments. I may have to purchase this now.

Ana Cardona: YES im so happy you did it on curly hair you can see how curly hair holds onto body and volume so much easier than straight hair

bonnybute1: Your reviews are fantastic… I love your refreshing honesty

MashiroMomo: this couldn't have come out at a better time. I want one of these for christmas and I suppose I'll be getting the bigger one since I suck at blow outs completely and always get the brush so stuck in my hair I have to spend hours carefully pulling it out :D Also my hair is at this point hip lenght

Maggie Blackbird: I have a Revlon dryer brush that rotates. It’s 8ish years old, and I really love it. It rotates clockwise and counterclockwise to get all the hair curled under or flipped out. The barrel is plastic, but it gets hot enough. I have been giving myself salon quality blowouts Duchess Catherine would be proud of. I even grew my hair out for the first time since I was a kid because I could style it so well. I haven’t seen the brush often online so I guess it didn’t sell well or something. Babybliss makes a titanium rotating one which I’m going to get when mine gives up the ghost. I have been a huge fan of blow dry brushes since the 90s. They work really well for shorter hair and give you a lot of volume. I’m left handed and can not blow dry my hair with a round brush. The last time my dryer brush died I bought the rotating brush and fell in love with it. Even my hair stylist was blown away by my blowout that was 3 days old when I last saw her. I love how the rotation gives you tension and smooths the hair. The different directions let you get lots of volume and shine. I use a regular dryer and get my hair about 1/3rd of the way dry then section off my hair and use the dryer brush. I also use Oribe Royal Blowout before blow drying and and Oribe Dry Texture spray at the end. I’m a huge fan of Oribe styling products. They’re excellent and smell divine. I’ve never found a perfume I love as much (Oribe’s perfume is more musky than the hair care products)

Abby Seaney: I love my Revlon blow out styling brush, I got the original in purple. It is the only reason I can do a blow out on my hair myself. LOVE IT!!

Tammy Elliott: Hi! So back in 2002-2003 I used an earlier version of that. I loved it! It was blue and from Revlon. There were two different size brushes with it. I’m not sure if they still have it, but Im telling, it worked miracles!!

SuRFerretti: Thanks for this. I purchased the old one over a year ago, so it's good to know I don't need to replace it if I'm happy with it, although I like the fact this one has a removable brush head. I wonder if Revlon will release other attachments in the future...

Jeanie Anderson Carpenter: Thanks! I just bought my second older version. I'd noticed my old one, which I'd had about three years, was starting to take longer. That said, I was hoping you'd also review the T3 with the round and flat brush attachment. No way can I afford the Dyson!

Anita Roberts: Love your video!!! I really appreciate the comparison of the two products. Absolutely what i was looking for in order to make a decision! Love your style in making this video!!! I’m going to be a subscriber for sure.

olivia payne: I have been wanting to try this one or the smaller round version they have but the old one I have RUINED my hair it was soooo hot that my hair was breaking/ getting over heated! My mom even burned her hand using it! Heard that from a lot of people so it’s a no for me. Hoping this one is better …

PrepreTheReal1: I have the old revlon one step model. It works really well on my natural hair

Stephanie Vincent: I have a really old version of this from before it went viral(like 7 years maybe lol)and I stopped using it because my hair is too short right now. Definitely interested in getting this newer model!

Diana Ortiz: I love this blow dryer it’s great for my Curly hair but now that they have the removable top I hope they have replacements I can buy because the bristles on mine are bend from gripping my hair over time so it barely grips now and I don’t want to have to buy a new one every year

SK Sunshine: I bought the older style late 2021 and paid $50 Canadian and love it. I use it on low heat which works well even though I have thick long wavy hair. I also use it to dry my hair which does it much faster than my blow dryer. I find the low heat versus high heat on mine is vastly different and the only time I use it on high is when my hair is quite wet and only for the first few minutes. As far as curl goes, the old style actually does well at giving the bottom a curve.

Ann Brown: My daughter and I both have the L'Ange Le Volume. Love it! Shiny, bouncy hair, getting one for the daughter-in-law. The Revlon seems similar.

ThatPastyIrishGirl: Thanks for the review! I was considering buying one of these but I wasn’t sure if they worked. You solidified my need for the larger of the two and I just placed my order.

Kelly H: Thank you for showing some curly hair!! Do more curly hair vids please :)

LeannW: I have the Hot Tools Volumizer and love it. It’s exactly the same as the Revlon. Always wished it had a smaller brush end round. Don’t think I’ll replace it until it dies. I never buy another blow dryer until ones dies.

Darcy Doll: I just ordered the clear gloss and I'm so excited for it to get here!! I've so been wanting a clear version of the haircolor for ages. Doing the happy waiting dance!!

Chelsea: I’d love to see the old one compared to the Dyson AirWrap. I’ve been thinking about getting the Dyson and I currently have the old Revlon one, but it’s a BIG price jump.

Heidi Fritz: This is a super helpful video. I’m going to grab the Costco version when it goes on sale mid-April. Watching your 2 videos, I now understand how to use them. Many thanks!

Natasha Crow: I would love for Brad to do my hair, I would let him cut it and color it however he wanted. His videos are soo funny but I like that I do actually get good hair tips too.

Alma Rey: I really like the fact that the new one comes off for easier packing when traveling.

astera22: I have the original and love the results but it damages my hair so bad! my hair never felt so dry as when I was using this

Maike Doc: Brad I have been sleeping on your videos! I just bought a ceramic hot air brush from aldi and was curious to learn more. You’re hilarious and charming! Thanks for doing the research for us ☺️

Aria Maeve: basically what I've learned is that I need a combination of the two because I have long hair and like the larger barrel but prefer titanium over ceramic so neither one is perfect for me lol but I'm curious to see if they'll come out with other head sizes for the new version seeing as the head is detachable

margaret s: I used to love the original, but I noticed it was taking out a lot of my hair. Using small sections and going slow did not help. I wish there were targeted blow dry brushes for long fine hair!

Sarah Holland: Ooh I love that it's smaller & lighter. My original is heavy! But I love that it gets a salon look in 5 mins ( I have v fine hair, but lots of it).

Agnes Mina: That was amazing results on the wavy hair without any products

just me I am: I have something similar to this and I use it only when traveling and using a goood heat protection - in long run it will damage the hair much more (no matter what you do) and way faster than a good hairdryer and brush

Melissa Dunham: I watch your videos all the time and just got this blow dryer after watching this video. This is fabulous! My son is 6 and has very long hair it worked great on his hair he loved how it didn’t get to hot on his head. For me it worked just as well!

C D: I’ve been wondering a long time about these brushes. This was very helpful. Thank you so much!

Jane Jetson: I was in awe when the older version came into my life. I have so much hair like 3 heads, thick long hair and it’s also wavy. I used to take an hour w the straightener, this brush takes me 20-25 min. It’s God sent. I use it on high heat and I have alot less damage than w the straightener but this is only because I have thick hair , would not recommend high heat on thin hair girl.

cyni2145: Id love seeing a comparison between revlon and a higher brand drying brush like the dry bar one at Sephora or the hot tools one!

Marie Woodward: Hi Brad. I was telling someone that I went to hairdressing school in 84-85 and the things that have come out not since I went to school but in the last 10 years. We never had a heat protector or a styling with blow drying all in one. First we blew it out then a curling iron if they wanted any kind of curl. Also the prices were so much less then today. We had to buy everything including hairspray for school. It wasn't cheap to go to school and we had to provide EVERYTHING. It still amazes me that the schools do not provide anything. After changing careers I went to work for a casino and they provided everything for Blackjack school. Thank you for sharing

C Prosic: I love that you can remove the brush to clean it now. Also the titanium brush I'd amazing! The smaller brush will be better for fine hair.

Brynn Bruijn-Hansen: I've gone through three of these in two years. They work great but the bristles flatten out over time (I think because it gets so hot it melts them a little) and don't grab my hair as well. I'm not getting another just to put it in a landfill after a few months

Susana Gomez: Great video! I am a little scared for the really hot settings and I was wondering if you have tried another brand even if it is not so affordable. i will definitely buy something that is a little less hard on the hair since my hair is a mess due to bleaching.

Sunita Agrawal: I love Brad Mondo! how does he give all the facts and still manage to be so hilarious?! :)

Nicole T: I have the original and it was so great that i used it every week and then fried my hair. I am glad to see they did more settings, I just wish there was a warm setting, cause the hot literally made my hair smoke and my bathroom got smokey.

Julia Catherine: I could have used this video two days ago when a customer was screaming at me asking what the differences were and why one was $70. I was just like the new one has a bigger motor ‍♀️

Janet A: I haven't watch this video yet but had the old model which did an awesome job. I don't have the most robust hair and believe the high temperature did damage that took a year to undo. I also stopped coloring my hair...thanks to covid ...and it is so much healthier.

jen torres: Thank you brad for trying it on courses hair !!! Most hair products review videos are tested on females that already have straight hair and that doesn't help me at all !!!! Lol thank you!!!!

Ashly K: Thanks so much for this! I have the original and wasn't sure if I should go out and replace it. I have long wavy hair and I'm so glad to hear it's unnecessary to replace it.

Badressnm Youtubejj: Please do a comparison on the Revlon vs Dyson Airwrap!! I would love to see the difference

Lacy: I love mine so much! I have half my head shaved, and the amount of volume it gives me is amazing!

Italiana 626: So glad you compared the 2 brushes. As a long hair girl, it was super helpful. Also, I love your top!! Gorgeous.

Sara O'Neill: Im so excited that this one has a removable head for cleaning. Cleaning my old one is such a pain in the ass.

LaLa Makeup Rehab: I love the original. But let’s be real, if I could afford the $600 dyson I would lol. But like I said, I do really enjoy the original! I have long thick hair and I can blow dry/style my hair extremely quickly with ease!!!! XoxoX

Stacey Shaffer: The cord is the perfect length for me because I have a small bathroom.... I have the original revlon one step dryer and I love it... My hair is naturally curly and extremely thick so I use the high temperatures..... My favorite type of curls to do is pin curls because I love how they look

Dee: I have long, thick, naturally curly hair. This tool is the easiest way for me to dry my hair for smooth, straight hair. Using a dryer and round brush I feel my arm will fall off and it isn’t as smooth as using this item makes my hair.

Ali: $70? Definitely think $49 is more fitting. I think they know they can charge more bc the first one sold so well

Donna Church: Literally never gave a crap about my hair until I found Brad Mondo! Now I'm watching all his videos! I ADORE HIM!!!!

Jamie Maxcold: I use the “old one” 1-2 times per week. I have thick wavy hair and it saves me so much time. I may get the new one also. I think if I used it Everyday I would damage my hair.

Bobbi Licitri: Thanks! Was always wondering about these. I have naturally curly hair (Caucasian) and a straightener takes forever! You're the best.
