Thin/ Fine Hair Perm Day 2

I am hoping that it will become softer and looser and the weeks go on. I expect the most dramatic difference will occur after the first few washes. My goal was to obtain a beach wave look. Over all so far I think it has potential more than that I a happy with its present state. Please check out my other video for more inforamtion on not only perms, but other management sytems for thinning or extremely fine hair (inlcuding proseic peices/ wigs).

Hi guys, I'm pretty sure that I look terrible right now, because my eye hurts uh I'm having something contact, thus iam glasses now, but I did want to take a moment to seize the opportunity, since this is a this is a really limited time frame that I Got to work with here um: this is my perm on day two and I'm not freaking out, even though I'm not happy with it, because um from everything that I understand they fall drastically after you have washed and referred for a few times, and I won't be Able to wash it until 48 hours has passed, and so right now, I'm on not even 24 hours um. My stylist said 30 to 50 percent, well fall out after that, but I did want to just create a frame of reference for other people with vines and hair who have had a perm so that they they can understand that this is normal part. The process. Again, I don't want it to look like this forever um, but I wouldn't say that it's terrible, it's not like a a poodle perm or anything like that. Again, I wanted to maintain this Beach wavy. Look it's just a little bit tighter than I would like. The type of curl is definitely mimicking that Beach wave effect and that it's um, not a spiral like you would get from a curling iron, although I wouldn't have minded that either um as long as it wasn't too tight um. So it is it's kind of a wave. Yes, they do technically make a spiral. If you look at them, they are spiral. Curls um. However, the texture is um, pretty natural and I just put some product in it because I slept in it since I'm not supposed to wash it, and I gave a little bit of a bounce about back um. It also made it look a little bit wet because it's the product, it's still still wet um, so good, it's not terrible right now. It'S not what I hope it will be in a few weeks um, but I could with that, if it didn't, if it didn't change that much got to feel like it's actually drying before your very eyes right now. Okay, so that's video number two on what my hair is going to transform. As and again, this video is mostly for people with thin fine hair, and I have I have both um. There wasn't very much available out there for people who have hair like mine and make a realistic representation, and so I kind of want to do an educational thing for other people. Like me, I decided to get the perm because my hair was pointless. I mean um. It'S so limp, it's so thin and, as I will mention another video, I have early onset people in pattern, baldness aka, a type of alopecia, and so especially in the back. It is not balding spots but lines like the part of your hair. I get that in multiple places everywhere and it's very impossible to get any any lift or volume out of it, because when you do, you can actually see the scalp underneath the hair right. So I can get it to come up like if you can imagine that this right here this is, I sculpt right and here's hair so um when you put volumizer in it. It comes up and if you have enough hair, that's great, but if you don't, then you can actually see the scalp in between the hair and that's what happens with me. So by texturizing. It like this, I'm actually able to get some lift and stuff, and I really am looking forward to seeing how much lift I can get out of it once I've been able to to dry it, but wash it dry it and properly style it, especially in a Few weeks, so it's much bigger than it was before, and I was also at the point where I was like well screw it if it goes terribly, as I mentioned in another video, I I have a wig that I really love. So if it went awful, then I could just um go with the wig. So again, there'll be other videos to kind of explain the perm process, wigs thinning hair haircuts for for thinning hair um, trying to just get this out there. Okay, guys! Thank you so much

Marion Steer: Thank goodness, someone who actually has Fine, Thin hair at long last! It looks great by the way. I am having a perm soon as my hair is thin/fine too.

Emily Crawford: Thank you so much for posting this. Really helpful to see what it's like on hair similar to mine. You can see right through mine to the scalp.

lisa4slo: P.s. I think it suits you and it looks fantastic! The cut as well. :)

liyah love: It’s cute I’m biracial but have pin straight hair thinking of trying this .

Katherine Wold: Will just the curl fall out or will 30%-50% of the HAIR FALL OUT? I want a perm really badly so I can get some semblance of what I looked like pre-chemo but if I lose 30-50% of my hair I might as well put the perm money (approx $175) straight to a wig. I have had wonderful perms my entire life but now having stringy lifeless hair it may be yet another reason why I'm acutely depressed. QUESTION: What type of perm (acid or alkaline?) and name brand please. Did your hair break off anywhere in particular? Usually I get breakage at the roots and now that I am missing so much of my own hair (4 yrs since chemo and don't know how much actually grew back in) it is continuously falling out - even with just a gust of wind and I can see my hair flying everywhere...especially in my food! Yuck! I want to keep the breakage to a minimum so that's why so many questions for you. AND your are exactly right... there are very few videos pertaining to our hair characteristics. What's irritating are the people with a full head of hair saying 'they have fine/thin hair' So Not True! WE have the real fine/thin hair and are in search of a style that will work for us. Wow I just the date on this video...10 years later and it's still as relevant as when you posted it! That is a darn good video : D

lisa4slo: Just the touching of your hair and putting it behind your ears, you're pulling out the curl. The first 3 days are the most crucial time because the hair shaft is at its weakest and most malleable from the perms solutions. It's not until the third day are you supposed to mess with it at all whatsoever.

wpaulvandyk: I like your hair, you look very beautiful xxxxxxxxx

Janet Jones: Ummm....

Banjo111 1: Not a good perm at all sorry
