Keratin Treatment On Curly Hair

Keratin treatment is a smoothing treatment that temporarily remove frizz and makes the hair shinier and more managable
Hi friends welcome back to my channel okay, so today we're going to talk about a keratin treatment. If you don't know our hair follicles are made up of a protein called keratin. So what a keratin treatment does is infuse the hair follicles with keratin to make the hair strands healthier and strong again, a keratin treatment is a temporary. It does wear off with shampooing and coloring, or anything else that you might do to your hair. So it only lasts a few months, but a lot of people like to get them because they do make the hair look healthier. It makes it more manageable because you can dry your hair, it makes your hair dry faster and your hair is less frizzy and it's also shinier. I would not recommend anyone to do this at home. I would suggest you go to a hair salon and make sure that you get a high quality, keratin treatment that doesn't have a lot of other harmful chemicals in it that can cause problems to your hair. So please see your professional, but I'm going to show you here the steps of what needs to be done when you get a keratin treatment. So the first thing I did was shampoo her hair with a deep cleansing, shampoo and no conditioner was added because the hair has to be squeaky clean with no other products in it and that's why, as you can see, I'm combing and brushing her hair. And it's you know giving me a little bit of a problem because there's no slip in it, but once I put the product in it, it almost instantly makes the hair looks a lot better. So I'm just going to comb that through all her hair and you don't need a lot of it. As you can see, I just kind of like to have a little bit and you can suffice enough, because when you comb through the hair - and you see the solution I like on the comb, that means that the hair is saturated and has had enough. So once the treatment is in her hair and it's calm all the way through, I just put a cap on her hair and use one of these blow-dryer cap thingy. Since I don't have a hooded dryer here and just keep that one for 15 minutes use a medium heat and once she's done with the heat, what I do is comb through the hair to remove any excess solution that is in her hair because you don't wash It out so it can make the hair kind of thick feeling like heavy feeling, so you want to get as much off as you can without rinsing it off, and then I blow-dry it and make sure it's dry all the way. So once the hair is dry, then next is the flat ironing stage and unfortunately, for some reason I I don't have the footage for for that which is horrible but yeah. Basically, you flat iron each piece two or three passes until you see the hair become nice and shining, and I'm really sorry you guys that I didn't capture that footage. I really don't know what happened to it, but I'll show you what it looks like when it's done for three days. She cannot shampoo condition or anything, get the hair wet at all Wow the treatment fully absorbs. But after that, like I said in the last a couple months and she'll be able to basically take care of her hair on her own without having to call me every five minutes, I'm joking guys. This is my sister, but this helps her to do her hair on her own, because I can just blow dry so much nicer for her and also when she wants to wear it curly she doesn't have as much friends as she would. You know she didn't have the keratin treatment in it, so she loves it. It works well for her. Alright guys, thanks for watching.
