Hi, you guys so today's a hair tutorial on the suck bump or short to medium hair. You guys know what had short hair for a long time now, so I loved showing you guys that it is possible for a short to medium length, hair girls, to have the hottest styles. I'M sure you guys have seen so many sock, bun tutorials, but I posted a picture on Instagram and I've been wearing my hair like this. A lot lately and you guys did want to see you tutorials. So here is my version of the actual sock bun tutorial. I know this is way way, but I hope that some of my tips are helpful and all you need is an elastic hair band, some good bobby pins and some hair products that I'll talk more about in the tutorial. So if you would like to see how to get a cute messy, I like Messier versions of things sock bun there is a sock in here, just go ahead and keep watching. I hope you guys enjoy. I don't know why waving by because I'm about to come back on, so I'm gon na show you the old-school sock method, because it's what I've been doing lately, so you just need an old sock. You know the yucky sock to put in your hair, so you just need to cut the toe off and I am using my good haircutting scissors because I don't have any other scissors so well. So you're left with like this tube deal. Okay and then you're just gon na roll it like so actually don't forget to shake out the little dust from your sock because then it gets in your hair. Then you just kind of roll it like so to make it a little donut like this. You know like those little sponges they sell. Now I am using an elastic. I buy my clear elastics from Sephora the Sephora brand ones, because let me tell you guys something they are the best. They actually don't pull your hair out. They are amazing, so you get them on like a little card for three dollars and fifty cents and they're worth that little extra. I think you only get like ten of them, but it's worth it and since you're paying more, you tend to kind of keep them around and keep track of them anyway. So I'm using my tangle teezer, because I find that it really smooths out my crazy waves and curls cuz. Yesterday I let my hair dry, naturally. So what I like to do rag my elastic pull my hair out tight. I do have bangs and they're about this long, so I am gon na show you how to get those in control. You know what I'm saying so, then you just kind of brush it make sure you keep grabbing your hair tie. Otherwise it might fall out. If you have, if you're watching and you have medium length hair like I do and I'm gon na stop, my hair gets rather short once it's held up this way. So I'm going to stop right at the crown of my head and I have fine hair. So I got to go around three times then I'm just gon na pull this tight as tight as possible, get it close to the scalp sure you guys have seen a million of these tutorials, but so you can pull your ponytail higher if you have longer hair, But if you have medium length to shorter hair you're, all not gon na be able to go up all the way because then you're gon na get all the back falling out. So I'm just gon na pull it to there and take my sock. My literal sock sock boom and then I'm gon na take it and just pull it to about there's this much hair hanging out and I'm just going to kind of start rolling it under, and I'm telling you guys it takes me a couple times, because my hair Is so fine to kind of completely cover the sock so I'll show you some tricks that I liked you all right now, I'm just gon na grab the center of my hair and start rolling it. Okay, you just roll to get your bun like so looks crazy right now, but don't worry. I like mine a little more messy than necessarily the uptight kind of look. It'S really up to you to keep it a little bit cleaner or Messier, just whatever you want to do, whatever look you're going for now that you have your bun, if you have fine hair like me, you might be able to see some of the sock. Do not worry my friends, all you have to do is kind of manipulate your hair move it. You know, don't worry about messing it up, because we're gon na pin it in place now bobby pins are very important. I'Ve seen some people do, the you know put another ponytail holder over. I don't really like that, because my hair spine, so it really just kind of ruins the so. What I like to do, good bobby pins, are important. My favorite bobby pins are from Sally Beauty Supply and they come in a little tin and there's like three bucks and they're worth it. Okay, so I opened my bobby pin like this, and I just take it so this is where the soccer is showing the most. So I'm gon na pinch that hair together and take open my mommy pin and just stick it through to secure it and, as you can see that that sock is starting to be concealed. We'Re just gon na pin all the way around the bond here by opening your bobby pin. It grabs the hair, that's tucked under the bun and dear the hair along your head, so it holds it in place and, as you can see, my bangs are popping through. So what I like to do is take them, pull them back. Take another bobby, pin open it kind of feel where that section is of bangs and just slide the bobby pin through to hold my bangs down. So we're not getting that kind of like chicken cuckoo top. You know what I mean, so this is great also. This is a great trick if you have bangs and you want to wear a sock bun without your bangs, so you just take it. Pin that back just like so and nobody's ever gon na know you got bangs so just open. It hold your section where your bangs are at the end of your bangs. Take your bobby pin kind of sideways. So it's you know. The side of the bobby pin is lying flat to your head and just push it back through. We don't have any more bangs. So if you're like me - and you have that media blade too short hair, you might be concerned with some falling love in the back. So I'm just gon na show you how to secure those, so I feel it kind of falling through here. So it's basically the same method of holding my bangs back with the bobby pin. So I'm gon na take a bobby pin open it. Take it as I'm pinching that section that I feel like it's falling, I'm going to take the mouth of the bobby, pin and then have the side flat to my head and then just push it in and then boom yank got no fall in Lovely's anymore, and You don't have to worry, you know sometimes hairspray just isn't enough, because you don't want those straight pieces of hair that are just hairspray in there like this they're like little duck tails alright, once you feel that you have your soft nice and covered and your bun Is fluffy enough now you could totally make it less messy, but I, like the kind of Messier soft bun deal, cuz it kind of makes your hair look like it's thicker. You know what I mean up now, it's time for hair spray and hair products. So I'm going for a little bit of a Messier look, so I am going to use my bumble and bumble. Thickening dry spun finish spray. Now you can use just any texturizing spray, something that might give you a little bit of a windblown texture to your hair and I'm just going to hold this about six to eight inches out, and then I'm also going to do this to my buns. This spray is great for pretty much everything if you're like me and you don't like your hair to be too perfect. This stuff is great, so that also does give you a little bit of hold and texture. So it's just really an amazing product, and I know I probably rave about it too much but see how it just kind of gives your hair that extra beachy kind of windblown look. I love it. Next is hairspray very, very important if you have a short to medium hair like I do, and you are wanting to what a long girls hairstyles. So I am going to use my all-time favorite hairspray. This is also a product, that's kind of like a dual product. You can put this in your hair when it's wet as well, but this is the bumble and bumble thickening hairspray. I have used this for years. This literally is just one of the best hair sprays ever especially for a look like this, and you have shorter hair and you don't want your hair to go anywhere. You'Re gon na need you some really good strong, hold hairspray. It'S not gon na really give you the look of too much. Hairspray stop BAM. All that is going to hold my hair all day long up until I take my bun out so now we are finished. We can, as short to medium length, hair girls have cute up to. I have so many other hair tutorials that I've done a couple of years ago and a little more recently for shorter hair. So if you'd like to check those out I'll, have them in the info box, thank you guys so much for watching and if you have any other hair tutorial requests just put them in the comments below, and I would love to film, more hair tutorials that my Hair is my second passion like there goes, there's makeup and then there's hair, like I love doing hair, so just leave those ideas in the comments below and I would love to hear what you would like to see, and I will see you guys in the next Video bye, you guys, that's my washing machine will not mind, but this apartment complex is washing machine and it plays some kind of like football fight song when it's done. When I do it it's too big and curled under looking. The only way I know how to get hair to lie that way is with a straightener- which is like to avoid. How to you blow dry hair so it's pin straight without the ends being curled under??? Thanks! Ps- I love the sock bun video.
