Hey guys, today's video, I wanted to show you three different hairstyles you can do if you have fine hair and just make it look a little more voluminous. So this is my natural hair here I just gave it a little bit of a wave with my curling wand before the tutorial, but I'm not wearing my extensions here and my hair is actually pretty fine. So the first style that I wanted to show you is actually more like a little trick that I do sometimes - and all you do is part your hair on the opposite side that you usually do. I find because your hair is so used to being parted on one side that when you switch it it's kind of like your hair is repelling almost so. It just looks a lot fuller so because I don't usually part my hair on the side, I'm just going to use some product to hold it in place and the hairspray that I'm using is the tresemmé beauty-full volume with the flexible hold. So I find this look and be a little bit funny if you don't pin the other side, so I'm turning this into more of a dramatic side part. So what I'm going to do is take the other half of my hair and just bobby, pin it in place around back. So when I'm finished pinning my hair back, I'm gon na grab my curling wand and just curl the front section of my hair away from my face and make sure all my hair is going in the same direction. So once I fixed it all up and styled and how I like it, then I'll just give it another spritz of hairspray and that's basically it for this hairstyle. It'S definitely a great trick if you do have fine hair and it's kind of like an old Hollywood classic style. So the second hairstyle I wanted to show you is actually my go-to hairstyle. I wear it almost every day and it's just a nice low bun. So what you're gon na do is tie your hair into a low ponytail and then pull out your hair. So it looks a lot bigger. Next you're gon na take your ponytail and just wrap it up and into a bun. I don't need to secure it with a hair elastic. Just a few bobby pins tends to work with my hair and it'll stay in place for the whole day, so once the bun is secured in place I'll just pull at it a little bit to make it look a little bit bigger than it actually is, and That'S pretty much it for hairstyle number, two hairstyle number: three, I'm going to throw an accessory in the mix, so I'm just using this headband that I got from Windsor store, but you could use any headband that you have and what you're going to do is just Place it on the crown of your head and not pull your hair over top of the headband. So once your headbands in place on the crown of your head, you're gon na start by grabbing a small section of hair from the first half of your head and you're, basically just going to tuck it underneath the headband I like to leave my bang pieces out For this look, but you can tuck them in if you wanted to as well so once the first piece is tucked in you're, going to do the exact same thing with the next section and just tuck it underneath the headband as well so you're, just going to Repeat this process until all your hair is tucked in across so once it's all tucked in I'll just go through with both hands and make sure it's wrapped up, really nice and tight and evenly and then I'll just pull out the top sections to make it look. Bigger and a little more voluminous, so that's pretty much it for hairstyle number three. I think this is such an adorable hairstyle and it would look great going to a music festival in the summer or with a really pretty summer dress. So I hope you guys enjoyed these three different hairstyles if you do recreate them, make sure you're using my hashtag EE hair styles. So I can go through and see your creations thanks for watching guys and I'll see you again next time.

Private Name: I gave her a thumbs up because she actually had thin/fine hair. Don't you hate videos whose title says thin/fine hair and they do not have it?????

popcorngoddess89: Why is it that every time I look for hairstyles for thin hair I find people claiming that they have thin hair when really they don't. When they part their hair they don't look like they have a bald spot, but when I do, no matter where the part is on my head it looks like it's going bald, and it would look worse if my hair was a dark color and not naturally dishwater blonde. Here's my advise to those people that have the same kind of thin problem as me, keep your hair short. The longer your hair is the heavier the hairs get and that weights the hair into staying closer to your scalp, but if the hairs are short that makes it easier to finagal it into looking fuller. Also, if possible, having hair that's close in color to your skin tone helps because when you part your hair it doesn't contrast as much with the skin beneath.

Jessie Rasberry: For everyone who doesn't know the difference and the appropriate hair terms, lol. Fine hair= small strands, diameter of hair strand is small. Thin hair= low hair density, not much hair on the head, sometimes there's a wider part and visible scalp. Coarse hair= strand diameter is large. Thick hair= high hair density, lots of hair on the head, scalp is usually not super visible at the part or sides.

Tchikedy: Today I've tried style No. 3 with a headband I had for years and never used it, because I just never knew how. I got SOO many compliments on how cute it looked and it was so quick and easy, thank you so much! *o*

Alexandra Parker: When you have thin hair but these hairstyles dont work cause your ears stick out and you look like an elf....

Lauren Rachel: love these. my hair is horrible & i hate having fine & thin hair at the same time ); great video!!

Leah Johnson: You look so good with all these hairstyles!! And all these ideas are original (or at least I thinks so) and they work really well thank you!

Lacey Keith: So cute! My favorites are the last two!! It's so refreshing to see a video focused around fine, thin hair. Can't wait to try these!! XOX

Siobhán K.: Love that you consider your hair fine, I would KILL to have as much hair as you!!!! Lucky stiff.

Charlene Turgeon: Here are some more tricks to add: If you want a "fullness look" on the side you usually part it on is before bed part on the other side (as you demonstrated) and"flip" your hair to the other side and SLEEP on it! Also a little cornstarch or baking soda rubbed in at the roots will 1, take up oils over night and 2) give you volume. If you have DARK hair or roots mix cocoa in with the cornstarch to darken it a bit, takes the ashiness look away. Again, overnight is best, but you can always do a little bit in the morning before you head out. And as anyone with fine hair knows DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY! Dry shampoos cost $$, smell and some have alcohols that DRY your hair! Cornstarch and baking soda cost a lot less. You can put some in a little jar or baggy in your purse, dab your fingertips in, rub into your roots (even head upside down is great for this) really pumps up the volume. Give it a try! I promise you it WORKS! Great for after the gym too!!!!

Katherine Parker: Finally... someone who is actually in the fine haired category! As soon as you put your hair in a ponytail I thought, "Yup, that's my hair! " I also have dark hair that I would love to dye... but I'm worried I'll damage my hair too much... any tips?

Carol Bell: Hi Erin! Three is the first hairstyle that I learned when in cosmetology college many years ago! But not with headband. I love how you did it with the pretty band! I have fine hair with some natural waves. Many girls appreciate these tutorials for their hair, plus its a great inspiration. Thanks very much for your excellent videos. What cuts work best with fine hair?

SixtyFive Roses: love love love!! thank you so much. It's really a struggle for us guys with fine hair to pull-out a good hairstyle that really works. Adore the last one!

purrsandwhispers: Wow, this is GREAT!!!! My hair is even finer than yours, and it is getting thinner by the day because of some medication I'm on. I love the looks you've created- they are Gorgeous and so are you!! I will Definitely try these styles and see what I can do with my hair. Thank you for posting, I subscribed to your channel!!

Amber BeLove: Hi Erin, Great style tricks. The only one I do already is parting on the opposite side. Have you tried Monat yet?? I am a fine hair girl and this shampoo has completely changed the lusciousness of my hair. Let me know if your interested and I could send some samples :)

merc: I love seeing someone with thin, long hair that looks nice. I always feel compelled to cut it short because my hair isn't thick.

Shell G.: I really enjoyed this tutorial, thank you so much for sharing. And those who say she doesn't have fine hair, perhaps yours is extra fine. Her hair is certainly not "thick".

nilsandlexi: Pretty styles. I wish I could grow my hair long but it simply breaks off. Also I have so few hairs that you can actually see through them. A bun of all the hairs on my head is the size of a walnut. I love how you are inspiring others, though. Keep it up.

Steph: I have hair even finer than this and it's also extremely oily, and last time I got a haircut the stylist convinced me to try Kevin Murphy plumping wash and rinse - it was shockingly good. It took a few weeks but it definitely gave me "more" hair. It's pretty expensive but because my hair is so fine I only needed a nickel sized amount and it lasted 6 months. If your hair is like mine I definitely recommend.

Elly's Vintage Inspirations: Thank you someone who actually has fine hair

sari1484: Thank you loved these hacks ... finally I can do something with my fine hair!!

BJ: My hair is just like yours. I'm so glad to have found your channel. I noticed you do a lot of hair tutorials with your extensions in, but theres is a serious shortage of youtube hair tutorials for hair that is both fine AND thin with someone who actually HAS that hair type and without extensions. Please consider doing more hair tutorials with your natural hair sans extensions. Keep up the awesome vids.

ItIsWhatItIs: I love all three! My hair won't hold onto a head band at all or else I'd do #3 everyday

Lydia361000: Please note this: Hair spray, sprayed on the scalp, used regularly--especially in one particular area, can eventually make you lose hair in that area. Be careful with hairspray--never use it on a daily basis.

Crybaby: At least us thin hair people don't need to buy two boxes of dye or break ties everytime we put it up xx

Kelli Gray: Thank you so much! My head is the same shape as yours so these will work great for me. Going to wear the last one tomorrow to my daughter’s concert.

Paula A.: It is so reassuring to see styles that have potential. Will try them out. Love the last look! I will also suggest a bun with a doughnut in it. They have them in multiple colors in stores. Looks great and is quick.

Arianna Amalia: I love my fine hair❤️ it’s unique ! I just need to learn how to decorate it … I’ve never been girly enough for that I just comb and I’m done but since I had a daughter I don’t want to let her down so here’s me at 24 doing hair research ❤️

mediagirl: Really helpful. I have long, thin, fine hair so it's hard to find a style that it will hold. These hairstyles are amazing.

Grace Macias: I love the third hairstyle! It's super cute and will work really well with my thin hair! I also really love your hair color and was curious how you got it like that. I really want something similar but don't know what to tell my hair dresser. lol

Crystal Stackhouse: I love this so much. Thank you for being confident and showing the world that fine hair can look FINE! I just made a video about my fine hair and tips that I have. It’s one of h biggest insecurities, and it would mean a lot if I could get some feedback ❤️

ladyandaharp: ah nice, great video! this is the video that automatically showed up after I posted my own hair routine for my thin hair so I was curious. I will have to try your tips! It is good to see someone doing a video with real hair :)

Grisel Blanco-Garcia: Wow, this is probably the first thin/fine hair tutorial I find on YouTube. I have very fine hair and not a lot either so I find it hard to do anything with my hair. Great hair style tips indeed!

Bethany Kay Fitness: Oh my goodness you are a lifesaver. I have such thin hair and have a hard time dealing with it. You make it look so easy and beautiful! Thanks so much

Ku Qiu: I really love your videos. So useful and look so fantastic!

Kate Holloman: Goodness, I love these! Mainly the last one! Well done. :)

Toot toot Imma dolphin: Oh my goodness!! You are an answer to my prayers, for real!! I have lost soooo much hair having 5 kids & it's so thin now, even eating very clean, great vitamins, & biotin!! I can not wait to try these!! Thank you SO much! You are adorable!!!!!!

Ivana Stoilkova: You can make your hair more thicker by using some masks. Oil your hair two times a week by using (caster oil, olive oil, coconut oil etc.) Massage the scalp for about ten minutes and then leave it on you hair for about 30min or 1hour or you can leave it over night if you have so much time. You can also use homemade mask from egg combain with the oils and a tablespoon of honey.( Rinse the egg of your hair with cold water). One more tip always rinse you hair with cold water it helps the circulation of the hair. You can also use rise water(its like a food to the hair) and it helps really much. If you want you hair to look more thicker than always use a shampoo with extra volumen ( like pantene but only if suits your hair type). If you use conditioner aplay it only on the ends of your hair(if you have thin and fine hair 'cause this tip isn't working for thick hair). Use a good spray for more volumen and also use a good heat protection spray so when you are flat ironing or curling the hair it won't damage. This is all the tricks and tips i could think about. You can try them because they really helped me with my hair.

Sudeshna Bhowmik: I love the one which you tuck the hair underneath the headband. That one is so beautiful yet so easy <3

kellyt95: Love this video! please do more videos on thin/fine hair! thanks!!❤❤

Debra Wolf: So pretty and so easy. Thank you for this.

Taylor Durden: I finally found how I'm getting my hair cut. So cute and versatile. Thanks!

sparkling231: Great video tutorial pretty girl. Thank you for the tips from one who has fine hair. xx

Amy Thomason: Thank you for this tutorial! I used to have ridiculously thick hair but after I had chemo in 2011 it grew back like this and I don't know what to do with it!

Anca Azamfirei: I'm glad I found your video, I'm gonna definitely try these hairstyles. My hair is so thin and I don't have a lot of options, I hope I can make it look as good as yours.

nafis imtiaz: hey Erin! hope you're having a good day today! I havefine hair and the struggle is real at times i know. Your hairstyles are so beautiful and they look very classy on you I'm in love. I'm a huge fan of your videos because they're the only ones I find the solutions from for my hair problems and perhaps because I feel my hair texture is pretty similar to yours. thank you so much for these hairstyle videos they are amazing and really REALLY helpful. Much love!

Olivia Welch: I love your fine hair tips, it looks like our hair is pretty similar! Anyone have tips on how to color hair to make it looks fuller?

Lori Brooks: Totally awesome looks. I must try these!

Brittany Dalton: So I have thick hair and this was in my recommendations and it looked good so why not watch it? I scrolled through the comments and you guys need to give yourselves more credit. Your hair is beautiful! We all have our hair struggles. Sometimes I even hate my hair but you need to remember if you compare yourselves to other people your only degrading yourself! :)

Angélique Eva: Absolutely loved this video, super helpful!

Jessica Marquez: Yes she did ! I loved all 3 styles

Olga Rykov: You can bobby pin your hair? For me it's an equivalent of cutting it off. Most strands I Bobby pinned would fall right off. I don't use any metal in my hair any more.

Lauren Solano: with my face shape, whenever I part my hair in the opposite direction I normally part it in, it gives my hair volume however it makes me look like a conehead :(

Derek Bernhard: I love the 3rd one! I am going to do this for a New Year's Eve party, but maybe add a few braids to the sides that will get tucked in. Thank you!

purronnaspaw: Thank you! Adorable and easy.

Tracey Kusser: I loved the headband hairstyle the most. I will definitely try that one! :-)

Toni Somers: Great video I love the hairband idea!! ...I find with hairbands that slide a wee bit of hairspray or sea salt spray on the area u have the hair band gives them a little more grip...Have subscribed so look forward to the next one xx

Marisol Rdrgz: I have fine thin hair and this helped me so much thanks! :)

Nataly Arar: yyyyyesssssss!!!!!!!! love these so much!! will try them when my hair grows a little longer! :)

Bea Savariz: Love this tutorial! Unfortunately my hair is heavy despite it being fine so most of these tricks won't work for me :(

Musicmaker 4HIM: Thank you! I’m 46 and my hair is getting a bit thin. I’m going to try these! Especially the last one!!

ForgiveAndLove09: Finally a fine hair video with someone who actually has fine hair. My tips ..... try not to layer - it makes the ends look thinner. Pull the sides back to hide the thinness. Always work with texture - gel, scrunch, & let air dry. Flat ironing makes it look thinner. Don't use conditioner. You can use a pre-shampoo coconut oil treatment. Once dry take the tiniest amount of serum or oil and barely touch the dry places. Sleep in satin covered sponge curlers on top of your head - only takes a few if your don't have a lot of hair - a wave look thicker than straight. Hope these help.

Ms Farred: Not crazy about hairstyles 1 and 2, number 3 looks good, def going to try it. Thanks.

Donna D: I like the three hairstyles. I will try and replicate in the morning. It's quick easy and chic, especially the third hairstyle. Thanks for sharing.

Mirella Yeya: super cute with the head band! it's so frustrating having thinning hair , thanks for the inspiration!

Aldora Muses: Cool thanks for sharing Erin ❤️

Michael Rider: You would look good with a bucket on your head. Great video! I'm a gentleman with thin/fine hair, I have an undercut with 8-9" on top, so it's in a weird stage. Trying to figure out how to use bobby pins and make my hair look more voluminous, appreciate the video.

Beautiful Disaster: I stumbled on your site bcuz im having a hard time with like 5 major problems. CAN YOU PLEASE TRY TO DO ONE ON 1 OF THE FOLLOWING: 1. STYLES FOR SHORT THIN FINE HAIR 2.WHAT'S THE BEST COLOR OR COLORS FOR SHORT THIN FINE HAIR ( and what i mean is like dark base with highlights. or can you do the belayge because you may have thin hair which mean roots/ scalp exposed which is or look like bald spots) 3.HOW OR WHICH BEST HAIR CUT FOR THIN FINE HAIR ( meaning layers short or long? Maybe a mini tutorial like on an a line bob) 4.HOW CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHICH BLONDE YOU WANT TO YOUR STYLIST OR WHICH BLONDE SHOULD YOU PICK? ( like i loved your blonde on this video on your a line bob....i asked for it and said it looks like a pretty ash blonde. well my stylist added silver to my blonde???? why? ) btw it looked horrible 5.HOW TO ASK FOR ANY OF THE THINGS I MENTIONED HOW TO USE HAIR STYLIST LINGO? ( ive asked for everyrhing i asked for and brought pics and still cannot get across! i have cancer um 46 im thinning hair not close to this pic. Ive asked for a level 5 to 6 with highlights or belayge with a layered a line cut. still its like im speaking a different language and idk y bcuz i dont have 3 hundred to go ive teied the same person and like 2 others. i know my situation is difficult and im all grey if i dont color.

Debbie Fiedler: Awesome ideas, thanks so much. I will be trying some of these. I especially love the hairband one.

Roxanne Moser: I can't wait to try the headband style. Thank you!

Moo: See even at the beginning your hair has some texture and body already. It doesn't sit against your head like a helmet, like mine. How can I ever get the hair like that? My hair is so fine, like the individual strands are thin. It doesn't like to hold curl from heat, usually only I can do sleeping with it wet. Even a good blowout only really stays for most of the day. Any tips??

Tammy B. Jones: Thank you for your help. my hair is super fine and shoulder length. I truly struggle. loved the ideas.

Christ died for Our sins: I loved the last one .use the first one often.thank you , very elegant and pretty. I use a pony tail tuck in often , its like the bun sstyle but I push/tuck the bun into my hair .no , elastics are needed.

Carmela Aimee: So great! My hair is thin and flat! Haha. So I definitely will try these :)

bethanyfaulling: Fine hair is soooo beautiful, my best friend has fine hair and it always looks so silky and chic, meanwhile with coarse hair I look like I have bed head no matter what, we'll never be satisfied with what we have

Life with Kidds: Great video! Such cute hairstyles!

Justin Grazulis: Thumbs up on providing me new ways to style my daughters hair!

J robinson rand: I love your hair cut (video was good too!) does it ( the layering) have a name? Might ask my hairdresser - whenever they are allowed to reopen....

fizerek: Fine, thin hair are amazing! I love them! A Man with really longhair here!!

hoo hoo: thank youuu I've been losing so much hair bc of stress and I already have pretty thin hair.

neà: thank you for this video! ❤️

Miriam M.: you got really great ideas to work with thin fine hair, I'm glad I ran into your channel....☺

Graces Nail Studio: this video is so amazing thank you so much!!

ariah: My hair is pretty long but I love the 3rd style SO much. I'm still going to try

Laila K: have u tried overnight headband curls? it's the same thing as the third hairstyle, only you go to sleep like that. works great for fine hair!

Raysa Suárez Velazco: Hello, new here!!!!! One question, which hair brush do you use for your thin hair? Which one do you recommend me? Thanks and XO

Linda Graves: Love the style with the headband!

Leah: That last hairstyle is SO cute and I never would have thought of doing that!

C R: I'm older, like 64 and like to work outside and garden- problem is I'm trying to let my hair grow out a bit so as to be able to pull hair back in high pony tail- presently, too much loose hair at neck and not long enough yet for decent collection in pony tail with clasp and multiple clips- it's a mess; people compliment me on my natural hair color (thanks Mom & Dad) but it's fine, slippery & thankfully much hair- I love the hairband approach- tucking into the band after placing on crown- My hair is not yet long enough to circle the headband like in your video but I think this approach will keep my shorter hair in place. Thanks for the idea- about to go outside and give it a try! PS taming hair in the heat is definite challenge

charli lindberg: my hair is very fine/thin and naturally straight and I just hate it, I don't own any curlers or straightners (well I dont need a straightener) so i'm very limited to hair styles, I'm here cuz I have school photos in a few days and I cant come up with a hairstyle to do bc this will be on my student card. But this video really helped! <3

Un café para dos: Love the video! You are a very good youtuber, I really like your channel! :D

anna climie: this is a lifesaver!!! <3 thank you so much.

La Fleur Hair: Thanks for sharing these tips!

kagnomi: My hair gets oily super fast so I have to wash it more often than I prefer....but it also breaks and frizzes due to hair washing even though I don't rub with the towel, air dry, and put in leave in conditioner at the ends. =__= I only wish I could have that volume

L: Wow the headband looks so simple but gorgeous

dest_duh_nee_: She still had more hair that I do to do this my hair has thinned out so much.

jackand100 others: If anyone can read this, I have a few questions so I have fine/thin hair, and Its my first time leaving it long so I can donate it to be made as a wig and I have a huge hair loss problem, I loose like 6-7 hairs when I shower and when I tie it or I lose a couple when I sleep. But is there any products that work really well to keep the hair strong and healthy?

stephyclaws: I just subscribed! I finally found someone who says they have fine hair and isn't lying ☺ my hair is fine too and I am having 8 inches off it next week xx

Living Free: Great hair ideas

Anne Liis Puhk: Thank you for this video. I just took out my keratin extensions and I’m left with nothing. Got to be very creative to work with thin hair and still feel beautiful. This video will definetely help me!
