Thursday, tomorrow's friday, you guys like it's definitely friday and we're almost in october already, so that should tell you that time is just moving and grooving all right. So today i haven't kind of come, live and done like a live demonstration in a while. So i said now would be the perfect time, because my client here actually is salt and pepper, more salt and pepper towards the front than the back, which is definitely normal. This was also something that we covered during our gray hair care class that you guys some of you have attended or you have um purchased the replay for so what i am actually going to be doing today with her is we're going to be doing a relaxer Um - and this is a retouch relaxer, so she is not virgin you guys. She has a beautiful head of salt and pepper hair, and then we also talked about she brought in what was going to bring in some violet colored shampoo to help with the yellowing, because she noticed that her gray was kind of turning yellow, which is very common. When you're dealing with chemical services - and we also talked about how to combat these unwanted colors in our gray hair care class, so for those of you that have not already um enrolled or checked out the gray hair care class, it is available on elitehaircareusa.com under our Classes tools etc, section. So what i'm doing right now is. I am basing her scalp to prepare her for the relaxer. She has. Some ear covers on which i've had these ear covers for so long right and i would i bought them for the purpose of coloring and i would always just look at them and never use them. So now i'm like listen. I can use these for my relaxer clients too, because relaxer actually burns the ear. Color only stains the ear. So, instead of me having to base my client's ear and running the risk of relaxer getting on their ear or being like a drop on their ear, i don't have to worry about that and i can move and groove as much as i want hey virginia. So anybody that you guys see with the little blue star by their name, that means that they are a member of the elite hair care, um, usa, youtube channel. So if you want to become a member, you can become a member. I haven't started a lot of the member items yet, but there's gon na be specific classes for my members coming soon um, where we'll be able to kind of touch base, and then i also have a patreon page that i'll be starting for my business builders, where That'Ll basically be a page where you guys get exclusive business building information um that kind of stuff outside of just the regular classes, all right, so i'm gon na go ahead. Put my gloves on the youtube. Memberships are not free. No, that's all through youtube. You guys! So no the memberships are not free. Okay, so i got my gloves on nitrile gloves, always seem very small to me: um we're using a regular strength, relaxer on her and then after we do her. Relaxer is when we will start working with the yellowing of her gray um. It'S just it's not a good thing. Some people just try to ignore it, but it can get really bad and you start. You start looking like you colored your hair, with a yellow crayon. So definitely um your violet color shampoo is a must for those of you that have salt and pepper hair. That violet shampoo is absolutely a must for you guys, so i always start right around the crown area. When i do my relaxers, mainly because that is typically the strongest part of the entire head, that is also the area that takes usually the most amount of time to process, and then i work my way down to the nape and then i work my way. Um same way from the crown area down on the sides so for relaxer application, i'm very particular how i do my relaxer application um. I also had a class that i did, which was how to care for relaxed hair. So for those of you that are relaxed and you want to get back into caring for your hair and not really understanding how to care for relaxed hair, you guys can actually go and see that class as well. That'S available on elite, haircare, usa um for replay. As well, so all of those classes are available. The what's my porosity class. That class is also available on elite hair care. Usa, all right. So what i'm doing? I use a spatula for my relaxer applications. I don't like to really use brushes. I feel like the brush can sometimes aggravate the scalp, especially if the bristles are really hard, and i've also learned, over years and years and years of doing, relaxers and hair. When i use a brush i use more product than when i use a spatula with the spatula. I have way more control. I use less product, you know. Relaxer is not about throwing on a ton of relaxer in one spot, no matter how much relaxer you put in one spot as long as it has time to process it's going to process so with a spatula. I have way better control and i use way less product and as a hairstylist, you know some people look at it like. Oh well, are you trying to save product by doing that on my hair? Absolutely this is a business. You have to know how much product you use when you're working with hair okay. This is why it's called using a scale. This is another reason why using um measuring cups, that kind of thing all of that stuff plays its part in the hair care world like when i do hair color. I weigh my color. I don't just mix color by by eyesight, and then this also kind of leads to something that i mentioned in the how to care for relaxed hair class in that class. I was talking about relaxer schedules. I was also talking about if your stylist is using the same relaxer on your hair and you've been going to the same stylus for seven years and that that's the only relaxer that they use on your hair. They'Ve been using the same one for seven years. But you're noticing that it's not really giving you any type of um took this away from me. It'S not really giving you any type of change, of course, because your stylist is not changing their relaxer number one or your stylist only uses one type of relaxer for every single client that comes in the salon, and that's not how the hair is built. Everyone'S hair requires something different, so i have different strength, relaxers and i also have different types of relaxers and i use different relaxers for different clients. It'S never going to be. Everybody is a one. Size fits all that doesn't work with relaxers one size fits all. Does not work all right, so you guys can see. That'S a retouch, okay, retouch relaxers do not go all the way to the ends of the hair. Retouch relaxers, don't even go to the mid shaft. They are only for the area that has not been processed, which is that new growth. This is another reason why i say: relaxer schedules are very important. This is another reason why i say: if your stylist does your relaxer based on when her mortgage or her rent is due. They are typically giving you a relaxer once every four weeks. There is no absolute way you're going to have enough new growth to do a relaxer every four weeks on longer hair. The only time you relax. That often is when you have a shortcut like mines and shortcuts grow out really quickly, so you cut them very quickly. So you're always relaxing new growth, so a typical relaxer schedule would be anywhere between 6 and 12 weeks. I don't even recommend going past 12 weeks for those of you that, like to skip relaxers or space them out three and five months at a time. That'S too much spacing. That is how you get a lot of shedding. That is also how you get a lot of breakage a lot of under processing, because a retouch relaxer usually doesn't extend past one inch of hair and if you're extending your relaxers to every time, you get a relaxer. You have five inches of new growth. That'S not a retouch, that's a version, and usually when relaxer goes that long without the new growth being retouched or relaxed, you start having a lot more breakage and a lot more shedding and then also application. Time is another big one. I have a video on my crystal williams online channel on youtube. Some of you have already subscribed to that channel. If you go to that video, you guys will see a video of a lady who relaxed her hair and it actually fell out, and we talked about a lot of things in that video, um and processing. Time is one of those things where people kind of take for granted, because you think in your head that oh, i just want my hair to be bone straight, so i'm going to leave it in for an hour. You will be with no hair for after an hour. Relaxer is the quickest form of hair removal. If you leave it too long, you are now at hair removal stage all right, so we're almost done with the first side and then we're going to move over to the other side and then we'll go back and just process through the back. Isn'T she also getting a color or rinse after two or four weeks, or does that whole that whole? What or that's a whole other conversation so she's not getting any color? She doesn't get any color so that that's not something that i'm doing unless you guys are having like a side conversation in the comments took away from in the comments or something. But i don't know, and if you guys see my application time for my relaxer. I'M quick, okay, i don't, i don't sit and put a little bit on and then i stop and go talk and i'm gon na go walk over if i have to like run to get something that is pertaining to the relaxer. Yes, but i'm one of those people i don't like to play with relaxers when i'm putting it on and i'm in application mode, i'm in application mode. So tonight at midnight starts our seven dollar sale on the body care site. So everything on our body care website will be seven dollars. That'S including our new turmeric collection. We want you guys to try that out. I want you to see how good it is. Um. All of our soaps will be seven dollars. Our body butters our scrubs, the yoni products, which is the vajayjay products. Everything is seven dollars. There is no restraint on that site towards what is seven dollars. So every single item is seven dollars. Um. The reason why we're doing the seven dollar sale is because we are revamping elite, total body care, so we have a new look. We have new formulas, we have all kinds of things coming, so we need to finish out our current collections and then, of course, the turmeric collection, that's new, so a lot of you have been waiting on the turmeric collection, so the turmeric collection will be back in Stock tonight at midnight, so everybody will be able to try that collection. That collection is actually coming back. It'Ll just have new packaging. I'M really excited about the packaging by the way. So we are stepping up our body care by far all right, so we're going to go ahead and process the back when i say process the back. That basically means i'm just going to go through and smooth the areas that i place the relaxer already. This gives me the opportunity to also make sure that everything has coverage. Everything has relaxer on it where it needs to be, and then i can also check how her hair is processing. If you guys notice, i'm using my spatula, i'm not using a comb. I used to go through and use a comb now if my client has really thick hair or really dense hair, then i'll use a comb, because i know that the relaxer is just sitting on the outside, but for like clients where they are fully relaxed um. They have like medium to fine textured hair. I can use the spatula and do all of that, so you guys see how clean the application is. That is how your application for relaxer is supposed to be nice and clean. So so all right, so now she can process for just a couple more minutes, processing time when you're relaxing. Let me explain something to you guys, processing time when you are relaxing, does not start once you stop applying the relaxer processing started the moment you started applying that relaxer so processing in the back started minutes ago, okay process in the front started in minutes ago. It started when i started putting it on so that when people see processing time, they think it's after you've already spent 30 minutes applying the relaxer. The hair already started to process when you started applying it. Okay, i'm going to put this away, i'm going to sit right here, how you feeling mama, okay, good, okay, all right! Let me see if you guys have any questions. Let me go back so now you guys had some questions in the beginning. What can i do for heat damage on my daughter's hair? You have to allow it to grow out and start cutting that heat damaged, hair away. That'S how that works. Isn'T she also? I read that one already. Do you change relaxers after a year or so? Do you find, after using a relaxer for a while, it does not work the same so uh lmt814 relaxers for me. So when clients come in, i base what relaxer i'm using on that client based on what's happening with that client's hair today, so i'll give you an example. Client comes in eight weeks ago when she came in eight weeks ago. She had a good amount of new growth. Her hair was really really dense, we went ahead and we did a retouch relaxer and i used a normal strength, retouch relaxer, on her 10 weeks later, the client comes back for a retouch relaxer and when she comes in this time, i'm looking at her hair, i Notice that it's not as dense as it was before. Why? Because we probably did a proper application that client when she came in, she could have been doing it herself, whatever the case may be. I also noticed that the client's hair is a lot. Is finer in texture, or i noticed that she might have a good amount of shedding going on or something of that nature. At this point, my job as a hair stylist is to determine, if i'm going, to use the same relaxer that i used the last time or do i need to use a different one or a different strength. So i have some clients where they'll come in and this white this relaxer, i might do regular strength. I never do core strength relaxers. I don't even carry core strength relaxers. What core strength relaxers can do. I can do that with a normal strength, with a little bit more processing time i like low and slow rather than high and fast. Then i have when that client comes in. Maybe this time around. I need to use a mild relaxer on her rather than a normal relaxer. Mild does not mean burning. Myo does not mean. Oh, i burn quickly. Mild means how how um, how much they use whatever chemicals sodium hydroxide, whatever they used to make that version of relaxer. So yes, of course, it's going to slightly delay the processing time because it's mild, but that doesn't mean that oh i have sensitive scalp. So you got to use mild on me that sometimes doesn't even matter. I can use a sensitive scalp relaxer and make your hair bone straight in five minutes and then i'll use a normal relaxer and it takes me 15 minutes to get your hair bone straight. So a lot of times this stuff can be very tricky. So to answer your question every time my clients come in that's the day that i determine what i'm going to use on their hair. Now i am specific to a line in regards to a company of relaxers, but they have so many different types under that umbrella. That i can use that's the reason why i like to use a firm. I use a firm i'm on a firm person i used to use mazani until mazani starts selling in the stores i stopped using mazani a long time ago. I just don't like mausani, but a firm has so many relaxers that i can choose from based on different situations. That is what i decided to use, because i have more variety and i can use those different varieties, that's suitable to each client that sits here. So i might use a fiber guard this time next time i might use a normal a firm, it just depends. It really just depends now. There'S stylus out there that all they carry is mizani and they only use one lasagna. They don't care if you're sensitive, they don't care for coarse, they don't care whatever. They only use one type, because that's the only type that they want to buy. They don't want to have to stock too many relaxers, i'm not that stylist. I am not that stylist. I look at what the hair needs today. It'S what the hair needs right now and that's how i always tell you guys how your hair care should be, what your hair is needing now, not what it needed last week, not what it needed three months ago. Not oh, i'm gon na be getting braids in seven weeks, so i think i should do this type of contra conditioner. No, you need to cater it to what's happening at this very moment or what's about to happen within the next couple days. I know that was a long-winded answer, but y'all get my point. What hair products are good to use on natural hair? I have a ton of videos on that we're going to try to stick to the scope of what we're doing today. We are relaxing salt and pepper hair. Did my daughter, like her crocs, she loved them. Now i have to make another pair for my other daughter. I did see that video about the relaxer on bleach, hair, epic fail. She might as well use hair nair no shade. That'S exactly what she did in there. Relaxer can be narrow if you leave it long enough good morning, design, essentials relaxing in my hair, any relaxer can make your hair fall out and it's dependent on the stylus too. What string philosophy would you use a low porosity, salt and pepper hair mild mild because you're low porosity, salt and pepper more than likely, you are not fully relaxed, so it sounds like you might be a virgin, so any of my virgin clients if they are virgin. I use mild because i have to start from the ends and work my way up, and i need that extra processing time how you feeling you ready it's time anyway, so we're gon na rinse you um texturizers, i'm always using mild. I'Ve never used people, don't know that texturizer is actually relaxer. Okay, texturizer is relaxing, it is nothing more, it is relaxer. Texturizer is definitely relaxer. So don't let them fool you it's the same process all right, so i'm just rinsing off my brush. My palm stand up for me for one second, okay and slide down all right. So when you rinse relaxers guys, it's always warm water and i always like to kind of start in the back and then, of course, if there's any form of burn, usually it happens at the hairline first, that's the most sensitive part or anywhere that the client may Have strapped or even as a stylist, you could easily aggravate the client, so, okay, so so with relaxer. You definitely need to make sure that you rinse it out thoroughly. Don'T leave it anywhere, don't try to leave it anywhere and you're going to rinse rinse. The nape of the neck is typically where stylists don't rinse enough and right here at the occipital bone, because relaxer likes to hide under there. No no stay back. No! No come back all right, so i'm going to put the conditioner that goes with the relaxer on her hair. I hate to see stylists do this thing where they will use any conditioner, they choose on a relaxer. They'Ll, add other conditioners. I am a follow manufacturer specifications kind of person when it comes on to chemical services and i like to stay within the line of whatever relaxer i'm using. I have just always been that way. I was taught very well by a very good stylist, and that is one thing that she taught me: you don't go outside the scope of whatever that relaxer, because this is a chemical service and certain chemicals you can't mix with others so follow the manufacture. Specifications. Alright. So this is going to sit on her hair for just a couple minutes at this point. She cannot scratch okay, because technically she is not normalized. Yet normalizing and neutralizing are one in the same, every company uses a different name, so she is not normalized yet meaning. We have not restored the regular ph in her hair, so she can still burn the reason why i like to do my conditioner. This way is because the cuticle is wide open. At this point, wide open normalizer is made to close the cuticle and restore the hair back to its regular ph. Then you are supposed to put conditioner on the hair, and at that point you put the client under the dryer so that you can open the cuticle again this route. I can condition quickly right, so she can condition for two to five minutes right. She stays right at the bowl, we rinse really really. Well, then we normalize and we close the cuticle and all of that conditioner - is in the cuticle everything snaps shut, healthy hair. Would you do the same for total gray, with white patches? Yes and then to answer your question once we do that, you didn't have to go back with violet color shampoo to restore that that nice, solid white, which is exactly what we're going to do with her today. So you guys will get to see the process of what we do whenever the hair turns, yellow and we're doing a chemical service. So all right, so we're going to use warm water, even though this is a conditioner, you still use warm water. Okay. This is still a relaxer service, but you're still going to rinse with warm water and remember she is not normalized or neutralized yet so so all right, so we're going to go ahead and start the normalizing process. I like to make sure that i definitely have enough in the nape and then the hairline too. These are the most fragile places right behind the ear and then right back here in this little area back here by the occipital bone. So all right, so we're going to normalize one more time and in this normalizer i'm going to add a little bit of violet shampoo, okay, these kind of cancel each other and i'll. Tell you what i mean when i say they kind of cancel each other, because normalizing shampoo is yellow gray. I'M sorry, gray, violet cancels yellow right, so they kind of cancel each other out. All i'm doing is really just starting the process of helping to remove some of that yellow from her hair, but we're going to do one more violet shampoo. I just like to start now and i don't like the smell of normalizing shampoo. So that's another reason why i always try to mix the second or third normalizing shampoo with another shampoo. It'S not going to stop you from getting normalizing shampoo, though, are you itchy? Are you okay? No, i'm! Okay! Yes, so all right last shampoo, so this is violet. Colored shampoo, i'm gon na put it right here in the front: i'm not gon na even saturate it too much or rub it up to make it lather too much. I want that purple to like sit right in that area and then for the rest, i will lather, but the front is where she has the largest gray patch come back to me: oh, no, the regular, just regular, okay, the front is where she has the largest Gray patch, so that's the reason why i want that to like sit on her hair now, the only downside to violet, shampoo and gray hair is that you have to leave it on the hair for a couple minutes for it to actually do what it's supposed to Do and with ethnic hair, leaving shampoo on the hair for anything more than just rinsing it out right away dries the hair up. So what we're going to do right, after is we're gon na, add just a little bit of conditioner just to re-soften or redehydrate. Her hair and then she will go under the dryer to dry, and then we will trim her and style her and she's all done so this purple that you guys see here. Some of you might see it you might be able to you might not, but all it's doing is adding pigment and cancelling out the yellow right. Let'S see here, hi from london, i would like to visit your salon. Can you tell me, what's the best hair color for gray hair, i actually have a video on my body care channel that talks about. I call it body care, but it's really crystal w online, that talks about gray hair color. So you can definitely go check that out. The channel is crystal w online. It'S also in the description box of this video. Wonderful. Now, if you leave it on too long, it can go purple purple. So if you leave violet colored shampoo on the hair too long, it goes purple carmen, i'm glad you like the gummies, so we have them in a we call. It double trouble package where you get two bottles versus one bottle, but the gummies they're good for the hair skin and the nails. How can i get my black hair shining? We have our shine, enhancer treatment. You can use that and that'll help with the luster of your hair, all right, so i'm still using warm water, because i am still using a shampoo. So you do want to make sure that you definitely rinse all the shampoo out. The hair is going to feel slightly hard. That'S normal! You just let shampoo on the hair okay. So what i'm going to do is i'm gon na take not this one. A little bit of the moist meat, 24 karat mask i'll. Take a wide tooth comb just tilt it just a little bit and all i'm gon na do with the wide tooth. Comb is just detangle, her hair, okay. So now we're going to use cool water, my water doesn't get the coolest i've never understood. I think this is as cool as i'm going to get it, so i am rinsing out the conditioner, but i'm not rustling up her hair, i'm just kind of just using my fingers to break up the hair break up the conditioner, so it'll rinse out easily. Where can you find the nozzle that i'm using it's called eco head, so e c e-c-o-h-e-a-d it's about almost 200 almost, but this turns hard water into soft water. So it filters the water that's going to the hair um. It helps with water pressure. So it increases the water pressure if your water pressure is low. I'Ve been using these eco heads for years now. It'S definitely a good, a good tool. Thank you. Truth all right, so i'm going to rinse the nape here you love to go forward like you just want to jump out of the bowl. It'S okay, all right! So i'm just making sure that the water is nice and clear squeeze out excess water very important. You can't put leave-in conditioner on here: that's dripping with water. You guys keep that in mind all right. So it's up for me. So we are going to you, can sit and see. Now you can sit up and now you don't want to sit out all right. So we're going to towel dry, her hair, okay and i'm going to use some of the moist me 24 moist me moist, repair, leave-in. The reason why i'm using the moist repair is because i know i did that that violet shampoo and it can be very drying and then for my clients, i just comb them down. I kind of part them or, if i'm not doing any parts i'll just kind of like lay the hair so that it can dry. I like to trim dry. I don't like to trim wet okay, so i'm gon na take off her cape. I'M gon na go to the dryer. For me, i'm gon na put her under the dryer i'll, be right back all right, so we're gon na sit for a second. Let me send a text all right just saw website. I need to get my bald spot and then my hair, thicker and growing. What bundle should i purchase? You can do the hair repair bundle, but you need to know your porosity. So if you're dealing with like super dry natural hair, then i would say get the dry dry and brittle kit. My next client is already here. I had my salt and pepper here, relaxed it did turn yellow green. My stylist had to was the purple shampoo, three or four times to get the color out. It has a slight purple tint. What can be done really nothing. I wouldn't really worry about a pajama with the purple tint, that's going to dissipate really quickly. So if anything, i'd leave the purple tint, because if not, it probably will go yellow before it was purple, so just leave the purple tint. I don't see anything wrong with that now. If it's bothering you that much, you can use a neutralizing shampoo, because they're yellow and that will help you to cancel out some of that purple. What, if anything, can you do about two different hair textures, one side, much shorter than the other? Do you cut the shorter length to get it to grow out? That'S something that you need to do a consultation, for i definitely say you need to do a consultation for that, not natural, so hair, repair and growth kit. Do i do virtual consults? Yes, um. It'S called a one-on-one consult if you go to elitehaircareusa.com, that is where you'll be able to um book a one-on-one console. I would like to visit your salon. What information do i need nothing if you go to elitehaircareusa.com um click book now and it'll, take you to the booking site for you to see the services services are broken down by how your hair is right now, so, if you're relaxed then you're in the relaxed Section if you're natural, then you're in a natural section, if you have alopecia you're in the alopecia section um and when we say alopecia, we mean um severe alopecia, yes, booking started, it opens well, it's open. Now i love looking at your work, hey. How are you i love? Looking at your work, pretty baby? Thank you um, so my neckline's already here really no. I was talking to um my live people, oh say: hi hi. I like that skirt. Thank you. I'M gon na keep the jacket on. So you guys are just working with me today again my hair is disgusting. It hasn't been touched since, ah, let's see it's not that bad time, okay, you always make it sound horrific. Well, let me it's your hair. I guess for me i'm like it's not that bad all right, so we got a natural client who gets still depressed, finished, get brave and then she gets suppressed and then she gets braids. And then you get some breath. So we are actually going to do a wash and press on her today and for those of you that think that you can't get silk, pressed and have healthy hair. If you guys don't remember her, she is actually one of my first viral youtube videos. I cut her hair to like up here, damn near her ear. If you call it that and we've cut her hair many many many times since then and she gets silk, presses and her hair is down her back. So for people who say, silk pressing and all that is not good, even when she was relaxed her hair was down her back, so we're doing something right all right come on back for me, she's my viral chick y'all. Look at your fancy signs! Thank you, hello. This is my favorite part when she's washing - oh my gosh, so awesome everybody's, like wow, with your hair they're like wow, that video was what like three years ago, three years three four years ago, three yeah right before cold, yeah, yeah and we've cut it many times. Yes, i'm a cutter i like cutting but tell the truth: cutting gets it to grow yeah and nice and healthy and long it's true, the more you cut the more it grows. Yep it's like pruning the tree. That is true. Now the downside to it growing so long because people don't know the downside, is you start to lose density over time? Because now it's just long yeah? I do miss that the density yeah yeah as it gets longer. So it starts like having that weight yeah that the whole curls is good, all right, so we're using the elite clarify and then i'm also going to add a little bit of the soothing balance pre-treatment. I'M making that a video in a minute it's been a while yeah. Oh that smells so good. Thank you. Then it feels good. It'S tingling, yeah! That'S where i put it. I need to know my hair. It just feels clean already now, i'm a hand scratcher you guys, but you can also use the scalp agitator and do the same thing if you're not a scalp scratcher i like to sketch i'm sorry, i'm weird i like to scratch. Dandruff i like to do weird things so me using my hands is like it feels good. Now you guys saw what i did just now, where i added a little bit of water to her hair to help extend the amount of shampoo that i have in her hair, rather than adding a ton of more more product. You don't need that much product. Okay, you just need to move the product around, so let's feel it reverb back! Oh it's there! It always does all right. So i'm going to use some moist repair shampoo! That'S enough! That'S actually a little too much, i'm not liking! But, oh, what's that smell mango mango papaya smells like remember bubblicious, i, like my smells. I need you to do this like every day. Take all the stress away. I watched this video this chinese lady. This is called the herb hair spa, oh really, and they do you're you're, basically getting like massages the whole time and she washed your hair like 800 times, but all she keep doing is she's massaging the head, and it has like this little fountain that goes over. You it was very relaxing to watch, but i feel like i'd just be aggravated, because my hands fall. It'S too much yeah, it's just after a certain point. I'Ve tapped out like okay, stop touching me yeah, my my my whole i'll. Take like two three washes, but after that i'm like okay, sweetheart, it's squeaky, clean. I have nothing left yeah. You start damaging the hair stripping it but they're. So super chinese yeah. The roots are oily, that's why it grows so good, all right, so we're going to go ahead, rinse her out another key year to tell them you can't put heat in between oh yeah. I try to say that people do not listen to that. So she just mentioned that in between your silk presses, when your hair starts to revert or it starts to look wavy, that is not the signal to go and add more heat and flat iron. Your hair at this point. What what is your hair at this point? Nicole, what do i always say? It'S considered as at this point once it starts dirty right: it's reverting because oils and water have gotten into the hair, and it's now dirty, that's nasty number. One number two, your hair will smell like it's burning when you do that. That'S how you know that it's dirty, if it's a special occasion like this time it was my anniversary, so i did it once yeah i mean that's cool but yeah. Some people make it every day too, and then they try to like extend it. Seven months yeah and then it breaks yeah. I just can't your hair just starts getting limp all right. So if you guys see her face twitching, that's because she has dinner. So i'm like i'm gon na try since we're on film. This is typically uh years and years and years she's gotten a lot better, though, because she used to be like you couldn't even speak to her during this part. She wouldn't answer no questions. She'D just be like, like a ten-year-old all right. Let me go through here. So you look detangled right. No, it's not yeah. That sounds sounds tangled. Her ends are detangled and this is this is how it happens. With kids, too you'll say: oh, go brush out your hair and in the middle it looks like a safari. You have touched nothing. The outside looks nice and smooth yeah. You try to blow-dry it. You guys see that. So when you think that it's detangled right in here it never really is yeah um, thick hair, you made it, i made it, she made it, you guys, oh, that was funny. Okay, all right we're gon na rinse her out at this point we're not gon na mess with the hair anymore. You want to keep it in one direction so that it doesn't re-tangle. So all i do is lift her hair up shoot. Oh, that's what i was looking for, so you guys can see. That'S what came out. Oh! Is that bad? No, what is it great? That'S your whole hair! That'S the whole detail! That'S the whole new tango yeah. So that's everything that is great. You can have way more than that and it'll still be normal, so you want to make sure you rinse, through its wrists, do not leave any conditioner behind. It is not helping you, it's hurting you all right, because it's residue you're and then here i come with a blow dryer tilted. How often do you get usually summer? We don't do the summer. I don't. I take the summers off i parade in the winter when the weather is nicer, i try and do every two weeks. Sometimes i try and stretch it three weeks just to give it a break. If i feel like i've been doing it too much i'll go once a month, i kind of i start. Looking at my hair, i can see i can tell when i've been straightening it too much. It starts getting straighter, yeah, straighter and just doesn't hold curl as good, and it just starts to not be the same. I'M like okay, let me take a break for a minute, because i was natural for quite a number of years and um when i found crystal's channel yeah and then i found this products and it worked so well yeah. But then i started having a shoulder platform and so they're going to constantly yeah i like to go back to relaxer for the ease yeah yeah yeah. I can't do my own hair, like if i don't see crystal yeah. If i had oh, you, don't! Oh yeah yeah, so if i could have found her, you know two weeks right: whatever yeah get it done, then i wouldn't have gone back to that because you have to have my hair yeah, it's so much thicker and healthier yeah. I do get sick of it. There'S plenty of days, i'm like i'm just going to relax it, i'm sick of it, especially because you're coming from a relaxing life yeah so like this is just so difficult because with a relaxer, i usually do my own hair and do a pretty good job. You know because i've been doing my own hair since high school, but this i can't figure out not what i put way too much heat yeah. So if crystal retires i'll probably go back to relaxing okay, i'm out all right, so we're gon na go to the dryer in your face all right, so we're gon na go put some towels in the dryer all right. So let's go to the wash house. So the good thing about being in a salon suite is, i don't have to go anywhere to wash my towels, which is awesome for me, because i don't have to take my towels home and put them in my washer or dryer. I hope i don't know where i'm going to put you guys, but i have to try a tenure. All right, y'all have to kind of sit down here. Okay, come on, forget it tiger baby! Oh no! Thank you guys! Thank you! That'S good! Oh serum! No! Not this eye, no! She has enough of that, but the little jar - oh hair, repair and growth bomb, this, oh so it's like uh! So here's this! Yes, you put it on your scalp. It'S light. Yeah like you, can put it in between not at all. I need that for when i have braids yeah, that's really good. That'S good! Yeah! It'S lightweight! You can use it a couple times right, so she wants some curls. So this has become my favorite tool from this blow dryer. I don't know why, but i know now it's my favorite tool like i'm like. Why didn't i use this years ago, so her silver is nice and silver and not yellow, and i love it like one streak in the front people pay to do that. Listen! The world has changed now, all of a sudden. You want more, no matter what um i remember, seeing my mom use the perfect scent and a braid, but then i learned from the crystal that that is not one of your favorite ones. I learned from you that it's not one of the favorites is the uh, the carpenter, oh shimmery lights. It'S been around for a long time that thing turned hair purple purple. Oh yeah, yeah! That'S the only problem that does dry the hair um because it's still a shampoo. Oh, it's a shampoo yeah, so it still dries the hair out because you have to leave it on for a little while um you could be all white yeah all right. So we are going to do some loose curls, so i'm going to use the h2 pro ceramic one inch um, i'm going to trim her first. So that's a definite find my trimming comb. My shears, you guys can see her. Oh, they can't see, but her silver streak is silver, very silver. All right, so i love watching hair get trimmed. Is that your asmr yeah? It is, and you see a result, you know like satisfied so so so it was that like four or something they pop in pop out yeah wow. This is like reality, tv yeah, but real reality, not scripted, that's great, all right! So i'm almost done with her trim. I would love to sit in your chair. Come on down people from all over the world. I have. How often do you come from porn state booty, mostly when i need a relaxer, yeah yeah, so every six weeks yeah? Well, they said that they're dedicated to being informed. That'S why they're sitting on there, so i'm just evening out my base, so you cut so little, but it makes such a difference. It'S crazy! I try. I try not to cut too much unless, if i'm doing a haircut now, you know i will cut, i will definitely cut all right, so we're going to put a little bit of frizz, tamer and shine serum in her hair. This is also going to help protect a little gray streak. Her storm streak, i'll call it that and we're going to do some loose curls really easy. This part is really really easy use a little bit of sebastian shaper. This is really to the seal, her ends and then, like i said, the iron that i'm going to be using is the one inch h2 pro ceramic black diamond. This is the pro collection all of the tools you guys always see me use, which is my flat irons. Those are available on my site as well, so i curl it and pin it to kind of mimic a roller set so just like if she was to sit under the dryer for an hour with rollers for me to blow her out. It'S the same outlook concept and then i'm doing large sections she's just got a relaxer like. I don't need to do small sections for this, so you guys see how tight i label to do that. Curl and then i just take my fingers. I mimic the curl and i set it in place and allow it to cool. Just like that. It worked, it worked with no heat, no, nothing, it keeps the shape, it keeps the shape and you can sleep with it flat yeah. You can just pin it flat and it will still stay see very easy. Look, i'm going to zoom it in for you, so you can leave it. That way same thing. I love doing the curls i like doing curls yeah and the good thing with these irons is the mouth: has a nice bevel on it, so it's easy to curl with. So thank you that first tamer is the truth. Yes, it is i'll bring you guys up. A little bit later, so so hello from tampa florida, where are you located? I'M in altamonte springs florida, okay! So for this area right here where the head? Typically that's the flattest part of the head, how you get volume is i'm going to do it off base? So you see me pulling the hair up. My curl is going to start from up there, so they have off base half off base on base and blah blah blah. So that is how you get volume in a flat area. So i'm going to pin it on base and let it cool right on base just like that. For my cosmetologist friends, you know how we never cared about that half on base half off base when they had us doing all those roller sets with cholesterol. On mannequin head, it came in handy years later, so when you're saying pin on base, what do you mean so on base is sitting on the actual section carolyn? You can book a one-on-one consultation by going to elitehaircareusa.com, so so all right, so i'm going to do one more right here. I have a triangle because the flatness is from here to here. So if you guys notice, i lean her hair forward here. Let me tilt you guys up a little bit lean her hair forward, so i'm gon na take this whole section and i'm gon na lean forward. Take my iron and i'm going to start from here and i'm going to pin it on base. So that's how we're going to put volume in an area that's flat, all right so for the hair in the front, we're not going to do too much curl because you want it to be slightly loose. So i'm going to do like a fast curl. This whole section, i'm gon na, do it as one all right, so you guys see so we're gon na. Let this cool down, i'm gon na, go ahead and take out the pins from back here. Do you guys see how pretty those curls are that one was too loose for my liking, all right, so we'll take out this one. So if you guys notice how it's sitting off the head and not going flat, so it's still sitting in that position. That'S what you want, that's what you want, so it takes the flatness off. It'S all in illusion. These guys illusions, illusions and more illusions. When you have fine textured hair, you learn how to do things with illusion, so your hair is gorgeous all right. So we're going to spray some goddess polish, which is finally back in stock and then i'm gon na pull you guys back just a little bit i'll. Keep you guys blown up, so you can see what i'm doing. I'M gon na take our wide toothed comb. You see this area right here that was super flat. It'S not flat anymore same thing with the front. We'Re gon na leave that part out we're gon na push that towards her face and push that towards her face. This part. Will rape going back then this part? Ah, your eyebrows are so pretty. Oh thanks says wow look at that. She looks so dainty. Where are you going tonight girl you got ta go somewhere, i'm just going to church. Oh that'll be somewhere all right, so i'm gon na spray just a little bit of sebastian shaper. That kind of helps to keep the curl, but it's not gon na keep it hard, so she'll be able to wrap her motor here tonight. I think i just swallowed some spray, you could paint curl it too, and it would hold yeah if you don't want to wrap it all right. My dear you're all done yeah sebastian, shaper, plus it has to be shaper pluses. You take a picture of it. It has to be shaped, the other one is the shaper plus is the best one yeah you ready. Yes, ma'am such a cute dress on music. Oh! Thank you very much. Thank you here we go. I need a troll, oh my god. Okay, i remember all right up in the world afterwards. I remember where i couldn't find it. Oh, okay, it's a good one. I'Ve never used that one, but if it works, they're all the same purple, no just not the shimmer and lights. So when i went in there i got it to sell this, and i said i don't want to shimmer in my eyes, i'm going to be all right, so we are going to. She says she's in ultimate springs, keep doing your amazing job. Thank you. Okay. Thank you so much. Thank you so you're in sixth! Oh did you see that little boy who destroyed his mom's house and he was 16 actually yeah. The mom did a video about it. That'S even worse. She'S, like she's, been you know, he's 15. She said she's been dealing with me for 15 years and he's six feet tall. I think so yeah, i'm sure right here. I think you like this one better though i was just thinking um away. I think, with the heaviness of my hair. The waves seem to last better because they fall, but it still looks you know all right, so we're going to give her a trim. Her hair is straight enough that i don't have to still cut and trigger just different look. I can comb through it. Usually you have to come upstairs and press the same button. Babe come come upstairs and you're going to see another intercom. That door is already open. Well, why people say they keep the doors closed because there's a box there, so you immediately assume that you have to call them yeah and she only put it there because the door automatically locks at a certain hour, uh so like if you come for a 7. Am appointment, it's going to be a lot. She should just put a sign on the door. The kids are good. They are good. My client does the same exactly to know do so so. Okay, what is her hair type everything about six different pairs? Every day we lost count couple years. How did it go? It was good. I want to do it yeah i did the i didn't do ancestry. I did um 23andme. Okay, i like that one because yeah you send in your swap um. How long did it take? Oh, i got it back within a week. I think it was quick yeah i wan na do that. I i learned a lot. I guess so much stuff that they do with the health stuff. So it's not like ancestry. Yeah ancestry is more just ancestry. It'S more like health stuff, all right, so we're gon na. Do we call it? I guess it's called beach waves. I guess that would be a good word, so i'm going to use some goddess polish rather than fritz tamer, and then we're going to use the one-inch elite anniversary, titanium iron. I'M sorry, i'm prepared! Oh, my gosh smooth these out a little bit, but it was um. Those two and then 46, irish, really irish. As i said mom, are you not telling me something? 46, that's like a lot. That is. That is a lot yeah, but no those are my parents. She and i would have thought more, like a french or something because new orleans and more you know all right so for the beach wave, you basically are doing it kind of like a candy curl, but you're going really quick. So the ends kind of are slightly straight and it doesn't have like a really tight coil, it's a loose coil and then the reason why i'm using the sebastian shaper is because it helps to kind of seal it less frizzing, all right! So pull you guys in a little bit, so you can see a little closer and then i'm not silking her out. First, i'm kind of doing it all like a textured press that keeps the volume too so like for the root area, i'll go slightly slow and then, as i get to the mid shaft. That'S when i'll just go quick like that, and because my sectioning is larger, you want to still kind of press out that that root area - um - hmm um, um girls, post, where you at dude, when you're a rapper like you, can't do that unless you got a Full security detail exactly mm-hmm. Can you sign up for christmas classes? Well, you can. Yes, you can sorry guys, i'm kind of like in the zone, how you guys liking the the beachy vibe you're, not gon na see the beach wave until it's actually done, though right now, it just looks like she got a bunch of coil curls, uh, hmm, so So in this area here right where same thing, where it's always flat or the flattest part of our head, i'm going to do the same thing as we did with the previous client to give it some height or some volume crystal. Do you have a hair, color class? No hair color classes is for professionals, so i'm not offering any um hair color classes right now, because i can't offer that to the public. You have to have a license to do hair color for the type of hair color that i would teach so it's coming together. Yes, it i, i guess right now, you can't even i'll do it now. You can see it's coming together. I can see because i know well, no, i know i'm talking about the screen. If i was looking at the screen, i would i don't see any wave, i would still be saying i don't see any waves yeah, but i'm brutal when i watch other people's videos i'll look at it like. Ah, i have to wait until it's finished like i. Never understood the beach wave concept either. It took me a long time to understand how it was considered a beach wave or how they made it into a wave, because i always thought that they waved the actual hair, not knowing that it was a curl. The whole time uh, i'm just laughing different, a piece here and another piece is like geez: can you just turn so so all we have left is her front. I'M sure you guys are like man. She had all that hair. When she came in yes, she did it hides, it always hides. So you guys see how i turn the iron and then, when i get right here, i do not turn it again. Sorry that was me, i'm sorry i didn't mean to take pc. You got it on your title. Well, you know when you're tall yeah and i'm short of little people - oh it looks healthier already. Yes, i love a trip. Looking like orange county come and say: do you have your business tax receipt? Really? No, she looked like, but i think she's gon na work. She could be once county love coming in here they come into the salon and then they ask if you have your business taxes really and they'll make you stand there and fill out that paper. What? Oh? It'S like your license. It'S got. A business license. Yeah like every year. Styles are supposed to have one, and if you don't have it on the wall, you don't have that. I don't know.
