#pixiehaircut

Hi, i'm madonna from boys and girls hairstyles um. Today i have lisa with me um. We have done a few videos on her in the past, but it's been a while. So i'm super happy that she will let us she's she's amazing she's, the one that um back a long time ago when i went to a hair show i was like lisa. Let me do this haircut on you and she had a a bob. You know and she's like uh, it's kind of short she's like i'll grow. Back and now we haven't went back. We tried growing it and we're like man. We'Ve tried different versions of that. Yes, yeah different versions and that's fun, but we haven't grown it out because it's just too cute and i've had people come from all over to get her cut. So, anyway, you've seen a few videos they're all a little different, but i wanted to show you today um what we're gon na do with her. We do love to keep this back um, i'm just gon na grab. My trimmers i like to just bring this and square this up: um, there's a video of lisa when we had it kind of shaggy in the back um, but we're really liking. Just this tight and clean down here. So you can see i'm just taking a little bit of length off there, just cleaning that up so yeah. It'S so sweet i've been doing lisa's hair for 24. - oh god, maybe 25 years now, and she has just been such a good support. She'S always she's, like the town support, that's just how she is okay, so we are going to hold this up and i really like to chunk into lisa's hair. So you can see it's uneven lengths here and i just do that all the way down. Yeah. It'S been fun lisa. She i mean she used to go to new york with her she's, a dance teacher, but she has been forever anyway and super good. She always takes um all of her dancers to new york and things like that and i love whoops. I love when she gets back and she's had compliments on her hair. It just makes my day. So it's a conversation piece, usually yeah, yeah, exactly see she always gets to talk to people and starts with the hair. Yeah it's been fun. I have people. Will you cut this lady's hair named lisa, i'm like yeah super fun. There'S been good stories, hasn't there lisa? Yes, okay, so you can see on this back with lisa. I hold my fingers right up against her head here in the back going down this nape area. Um because we like that tight there and then after i'm, going to show you how i texture her um, i'm going to use the the more spread out texturizing i like to use both on hers just because she has so much hair. So i love to use the one texturizing sheer, but then the other one i love because it really pieces out her ends. Um now lisa has a lot of hair uh. It'S not it's not super fine, but she has a ton of it. So she definitely pulls this style off well, it is, i still have this client that comes back, and you know i cut her hair like lisa's, because she like wants to be lisa, but anyway she she keeps saying. Well, i just i don't feel like it looks like lisa and i'm like well the texture of her hair. You know what i mean she has. She has a lot of hair, but just it's so funny how different textures can look. You know a little different. I think she just wants to be lisa, though, which is cute. That'S a good compliment. Lisa yeah, okay and then i'm gon na come up here on the top again just kind of chunk into this up here, um, because, especially when you have a lot of hair, it can start feeling heavy um. You know after so she comes once a month and it can start feeling heavy uh if you don't chop into it'll, start feeling kind of like a helmet head so to really piece it out and make it piecy and wispy is important, especially if you have as Much hair as lisa um because, like i said, if not it'll, feel heavy because you have so much and then it just won't it'll, look just more like a helmet instead of pieced out okay, so sides, i'm just holding this straight out just gon na trim that Up: okay, sweet, then this top i'm just gon na mist that down again, okay in the top, i'm just going to come straight across just kind of chop into that lisa. She doesn't mind when i say chop no she's used to it. She'S, like yeah now lisa likes her bangs. You know a little bit longer, i'm not i don't mean long, but so i make sure when i come up to this top that that whole bang is is held up. So i don't take too much off of it and then, if i need to take more off of it, when i put it down on the forehead i can, but that doesn't take the length off of it. So i'll explain that again, so i'm coming up front. So i'm taking this bang and i'm bringing it up so i'm going to trim into this part, but i'm not taking that shorter because she likes it. You know a little longer on that front. Okay, now these sides same thing. I mean she's liking the length so we're just kind of trimming this up, so you can see i'm just kind of cutting into to the edges there. Okay and then this side same thing, there just kind of cut into that and then just barely trim. All of this on this side because she's liking the link, so just barely just so it stays nice and, of course, her hair is constantly healthy. So it's not like. We have to worry about getting the dead ends off or anything, because her hair is healthy and she's a lucky lucky gal. She has not colored her hair once um and she has this gorgeous color, so lucky no she's always talked about it here and they're. Like, oh, maybe i should then she's like ah, but i don't have to i'm like yep you're right, so you can see i'm just kind of barely trimming that off because she likes the length okay same thing again on this ear. I'M just gon na hold this. Just trim that hold that down and just barely trim all right now for the bang area, like i said she likes them longer, i'm gon na just come in to start open shut the shears, so you can see it's i've taken a little bit of length, but They'Re still going to be long, so i bring it up so there's some shorter up in like this okay and then i always like to wait with lisa and dry it. Then. If i need to go back in and and take a little length, then i will um okay now these uh thinning shears are the ones that are close together. So i like to come through this back, because she's got so much hair. This just evens it all out um and what i mean by that is when you have thick hair, if you see lines from your scissors or anything like that, this helps um just blend everything really nice. So you take the little bit of bulkiness out of here. A little bit through the sides, i'm not going to the scalp, i'm just coming about halfway into the hair up through here. Okay, so that's going to take bulk and then i'm going to show you what i'm going to do with the other so halfway in okay. So that's going to take bulk, so i'm going to come back the the these are more of a chunky, and so, if you have thicker hair, this is really good or if you want a really pc. Look, that's good! So i do this more up in the edges in the ends of the haircut, so i can just come up through here. This just makes it so, especially when it starts growing out that it doesn't feel like a helmet, okay and then just a little bit through the bang area. A tiny bit through these ends down here. So just like one, two one, two okay, sweet and then i want to show you how i tighten up her back, so i obviously go short in the back, because i said i put my fingers towards her head. So it's tight this way, but i really want to show you guys how i take my trimmers and i just come up here. Yes, i shouldn't say: trimmers: these are my actual clippers, so what you want to do is you don't want to come in too far, because that's going to be too close, so you're going to come in and you're going to hold the comb out just a little Bit and that just tightens this area so when it starts, especially when you have a lot of hair, it can start kind of being pokey back here when it grows out, and so i just like to tighten this for her and it. It looks better with the haircut to have that bottom, pretty darn tight, so you just go straight up, bring that comb out go in and then out and then just come back and forth with your clippers. You can see i'm just going up up up like this. Okay, so you can just see where it blends in nice a little bit here. Okay, perfect! Sorry! I dropped my clippers last night they're a little loud um, okay, so you can see how that's that's tight and especially from the side. It'S tight there. Okay! So now, for the fun part, we're gon na take the root, lifter put it through her root area, so it will help it stand up when we try it and then the mousse. I just rub it in my hands, put it throughout everywhere and then once i dry, i just check links in the front like with their sides if it needs to be more pc or the bang or whatever. Okay now just going down straight down on the back. That'S what's nice about having a short, okay and then back and forth with your fingers down in front of your side, i always say about eighty percent dry is when i start bringing the brush in get there have a little thought you can do it for a Day, you can do it for a day. It'S fine she's! Fine! Look at that! Oh that's! Great! Okay! Let me just turn that down make sure that front area is dry. That'S what's awesome with lisa's hair, so her hair. She has enough of it. So it's thick, but her hair doesn't have any weight to it. So it's super easy, this haircut because you can dry it and it just it is what it is, and it's people want that look, and so she is so lucky to have that um. Okay, so i'm looking right here - this just seems to be a little bulky through here and just too much of a straight line there. So i'm going to take my shears and i'm just going to come in and i'm going to take a little bit off and i'm going to take that out because we don't want just a big straight piece right here: okay see how that just lightened that - and It'S a little bit different, instead of just so straight. Okay, and this side looks good. That doesn't look too too straight! It'S it's pretty good! Okay! So now i'm gon na take the styling paste and i'm going to just rub it in my hands good here and i'm just going to start grabbing at the hair. So you can see i'm just grabbing at it: okay, grab and kind of pull up. Okay, then i rub again and then the front pieces i come through here and grab it with my fingertips and piece it out with the fingertips instead of my whole hand, so relaxing rightly it is so you can piece out these sides. Okay, now i'm just going to wipe my hands and then back comb a tiny bit up through this top, which you don't have too much, which is always nice, but just i just like the little just to stay in and then i love to spray it. And then what i'm going to do is just put it into place with my comb. With my pink see it just kind of goes. I love it just kind of goes in its own spot. Okay, i'm going to turn her to the mirror. So i can see what i've done from kind of behind to the side. How do the bangs feel good just about right? That'S right! Okay, awesome, awesome! Okay, just checking the sides. Okay, this side might touch longer, but i do want to make sure just barely. Oh, hey lisa! Thank you for showing us your beautiful self, your fun haircut. That'S the thing too! Is it fits lisa she's just got a spunky fun personality, so it's good. Okay, i'm going to turn her around one more time, so you can see the back and the sides. Okay, sweet! Awesome! Okay, thank you lisa! I appreciate it. You betcha and thanks for everyone that watches. I appreciate your support so we'll talk to you next time and have a great day see ya. You

49cL48 RoM3r0: I love this style. I found a talented stylist nearby me. I started doing this last year and absolutely love it. I get so many compliments from men and women. I color my hair blue and purple and pinks.

Cathy Nadeau: Love this cut,it suits her so well ❤️

Rose W: Lisa’s hair is beautiful! Perfect cut! Love it!❤️

Kekuahiwi: Very cute haircut. I'm an old hairdresser and barber and always liked neat and clean in back. Your outliner will give you a cleaner shave when using it right side up after you put your line in. It's meant for the stationary blade to move the hair into the moving blade the same as clipper cutting. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it. Cheers, K

Cathy Nadeau: I love this cut,I will get my stylist to do it on me the next time,❤️❤️❤️

L M: Beautiful client . You radiate such a positive energy & calmness. I like how you actually do A PRECISE CUT & STYLE. I am paying $100 to have ends snipped off the dry flat ironed hair I walked in with. I have fine hair & now look like a feather duster from this haphazard cutting

Richard Hardy: I could watch you cut Lisa'as hair all day. She looks so good with that hairstyle. And I love the way she just sits there in her cape letting you get on with it.

SweetCheeksFarm: Great cut, style that's perfect for her

Sandra Perry: Great hair cut! Looks fabulous on her.

Sandy J: I wear my hair the same style but my hair is fine. Which texturing scissors would I use to make it piecey -- the chunky one or the one where the teeth are close together? Thanks, Radona! Love your video's. Watch all of them.

Sheila stacy: Looks awesome!! Beautiful

Laura Mitchell: I love your cuts. I learn a lot from watching your videos. When you are cutting the upper crown area, are you using radial (pie shaped) sections are parallel partings? It is a little hard to tell with the camera angle.

Kathy Knuteson: Love it! I want that cut!

Annelie De Jesus: Another awesome hairstyle . Love it !!!!

AJ B: Love the cut and style! My stylist won’t use thinning shears or texturizing scissors on my hair, she says they will make my hair frizzy. Any truth in that? She just point cuts for texture. My hair is a little wavy at the neckline, but pretty straight everywhere else and a little longer than Lisa’s.

angela stover: Beautiful job!!

Carla Lane: Master haircut!! You are awesome! Could you do a hair video for transitioning to grey on short hair? Have a blessed day

Donna DeSisto: Wow! Just gorgeous. You have hands of gold. Lisa looks beautiful as ever.

Linda: Beautiful!

Patty Cooper: Super cute!

Barbara Warren: I love this hairstyle but my hair is fine and thin yet thick in some areas. I have yet to find a good stylist where I live!! I can always spot the mistakes they've made after I wash it the 1st time and try to style it afterward. So disappointing.

Dana Renken: Hello sweetheart, sooooo beautiful!!

Michelle Gagnon: Love your work...

Michellle Stokes: Such. Beautiful cut and lady too !

Lori Dupuy: I think she's the first video of yours that I watched!!!

Elaine MulberryRat: Lovely haircut. Her natural colour is fab don't ever colour it. Hair texture is also nice. Luck lqdy. Best wishes from UK.

Karen Toynton: Lovely haircut. Nice lady.

Patsy Starnes: Another #AwsomeHaircut by our #1Hairdresser RaDona you're #TheBestHairdresser‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

Sheila Bryd: Where is your shop, I would LOVE for you to cutting my hair ❤️❤️

Pam Long: What kind of brush is that and where can you get it
