Wig Talk Wednesday!!! How To Curl Your Heat-Defiant And Heat-Friendly Wig The Right Way!!

Well, I don't know, let's not go too quickly on oh, and here is, if you can hear us and see us, could you just comment, because this is all brand name and we got a new camera? We'Ve got new lights, we've got to be screaming anyway. We'Re gon na act like that. You can and I'm just kind of start here fresh and new chris says we're live high-quality, hey Chris. We missed you last week, but I know you know you got to work and make a living and stuff but and your life yeah. I know I kind of tend to think that you know in my mind. I hope they do some people do anyway. I did too, and it's been busy - it's been busy it's just hot hot hot, and now the humidity is back. So it's just awfully steamy here in Texas. So what are we gon na do today? Well, first off we'll always mention our wigs, which these are familiar. Wings to you, we wear these a lot. This is my favorite. It is the John Renault Eve and their heat defiant in its color, twelve FS, twelve and I've got Jolie by Noriko. I wear this a lot, but this is actually chocolate. Frost are so, I feel, very short, really dark inside the darkest era, but well - and we have a guess with this: yes - is our special guest. This is also um. Genre knows Eve: only this is color twelve fs8, which you can see the roots just a little bit darker than mine, and so that's difference. But we're gon na talk to you about some heat defiant yeah, because you've got to do the I mean you can you can do some different things with the heat defiant wigs and this is actually my Eve - Missy's curled it for me before and it comes out It gives a much different look than what she's got on. So that's what we're gon na do: hey, Peggy, hey, Jordan, Jordan, ice yeah! This is my favorite. Of course you know you can see it's it's a little asymmetric, not too much, but I always tuck it. Behind my ear to make it a little bit more so so yeah this is there heat defiant and we did a show on the different fibers and we kind of touched on heat defiant that we didn't really get really into how to take care of it. And you know how to actually curl it, because you know people come in here all the time with the misconception they can just like. Oh will see your curling iron to it and make it curly. It'S not that easy. Oh, we have two on YouTube now too and oh, you have no idea. The stress I put myself under because I I don't know anything about this stuff. I mean good ol. Amazon just keeps bringing somebody can do it. Oh yeah, where it's all put together but Misty gets all the credit on this one. No, she worked tirelessly to make sure this stuff works, and, after last week's debacle of losing our streaming, which was so embarrassing battery times three times, I don't think we're gon na lose it today. I don't think so. Either we got a guy up here, running wires and putting hard wires and we got okay. I just all right Eve. Genre knows heat defiant fiber and this one has been curled in and we just freshly washed it. So you can see it holds a little bit of its curl and after the washing you may have to touch it up. But I want to show you how to do this because it's not as easy as it sounds and, like I said people come in here. All the time with the the idea of oh, we can just you know, stick it curling iron to it and just pop it out. Just like it's your human hair, it's not it's totally different than human here, and it takes a little bit more work and the first thing you want to realize: is you don't want to brush it? You don't make it last long. You always just want to pick it, and but when I started a party out, I have to use one these little thingies right here. So I'm not gon na actually use this brush, but I am going to and just first of all go and pick out. If there's any tangles or anything like that now, let me show you part this out the way we're going to work down here, and so this is what it looks like before and just say, for instance, I'm using a regular curling iron, and this goes from heat Setting it just numbers it, some of them have actual life as and on the flat irons, but the curling irons usually just have numbers, and it goes from 1 to 30 or 0 to 30. I put it on 10, we're gon na start with 10. You want to get the lowest same thing with your human here, the lowest amount of heat to get the desired result that you can get you don't want to automatically crank it. I crank mine all the way to full, because I know my hair and I know I can how long I can leave it in, but you want to start with the lowest amount of heat now, if you were gon na take this and just say, I want To curl in it just like, if this were your human hair, you come in here and you do your wrap a cute little side-swept thing and you hold it there and you let it go. It doesn't really curl, you know, and that could be the result of not having it hot enough or a couple different things. So I don't feel like it's very hot, so I'm what I'm doing is testing this curling iron. So do this at home, so I'm gon na go from 10. I'M gon na go to 15, which is halfway. We'Re gon na do the same section again, I think technically the manufacturer says what 350 we'd never take. The 350 we yeah, I try to say somewhere around 280 285, I think, is what Jean Renault is said is like their ultimate to mature, which, like I said, we're the chroman area. You can't tell that - and I know this is not very hot, because I'm able to put my fingers on it it's starting to get warm now, but drop it see, it's not curling. So this is the deal with the heat defiant fiber. You have to what's called a cold stick, and so, if any solace are watching, you understand what that means, because when we were in school, that's how they taught us to curl. So to do that, we have these handy-dandy little an all-purpose clips. I like these with that little. If you see that little space there that way, you can slide it into the curl and or you can just choose to hold it. I'M gon na show you both ways so same section wrap we're gon na slide it off. I'M gon na just kind of set that curl where we want it. I don't like my curls real curly, so I always leave them a little bit longer and then just slide your clip in and hold it there. So my turn sticks out where you can see the little clip under there it's kind of hard, because it's cameras opposite, so I can't really see what I'm doing the little clips under there just holding it there too, for it to cool down. You can also just do this by holding it in your hand, so I'll show you just by doing that, and I always curl away from the face they just kind of hold it. I do this little scientific thing called blowing on it. Pulls it out a little bit quicker because I'm impatient so here's our curls from the side. So this is the one I just hailed and see how nicely it once you let it cold set, whereas before it just kind of dropped, same thing with the clip. So when you're done take your clip out, then you've got these cute little curls yeah. That turns out great. It does turn out great, so I'm just gon na work on this a minute and, like him, talked to you about her different heat defiance, and I, like I said this is the same thing. You'Re gon na see a different thing. I didn't do anything to mine. This is just with product, I'm out of the box, so I don't curl mine, but it's cute curled and it doesn't take a whole lot. I mean the heat defiant. Fiber is great. Oh, let's see wait. I guess hot rollers I'm over to come out. They cool down fast and have leave them in overnight. You can do that, um blowing. How original? Thank you? Thank you Jenelle. This is for Elizabeth and this is color 12 FS, 12 from John Renault, it's their new and California blonde and yes, sweet somebody, lady. It is Eve by John Renault you're correct, but the thing about the heat defying fiber: it works great. If you want to do these types of things and curl it you will, you can change the style up. The fiber is different. It'S a little bit more delicate. You can't brush it this fiber wears by friction so when you start brushing it you're putting tension and pressure on that fiber, it's gon na cause it to fright. Someone described it to me kind of like the the holidays at Christmastime. When you make those ribbon when you wrap those presents all pretty and you put the ribbons on the present and then you take your scissors and put tension on it so that it'll make a nice little curl and it raised that phrase that ribbon. That'S exactly what happens with the heat defiant hair when you start pulling on it with a brush, it's going to cause that fraying and it's going to cause it to tear up a lot faster. So there's a lot of benefits to the heat defy it. But if you're not willing to, if you don't want to change the style - and you want to brush your wig, you do not want a heat defiant way exactly. This is looking messy kind of barrel curls I mean I, I would never suggest anybody to get a heat, defiant wig and expect to get like a set bubble, do or say so. If you want kind of, you know that older fashion kind of curled, teased bloom in you know Elizabeth, it's 12 FS, 12, that's! Well, that's a 12 FS 12 and the difference is her root is a lighter color than this root. The blonde shading is all the same, and so that's what that is, but yeah I mean this is more. I feel like for Messi Messi kind of styles, I'm just a this thing just a little bit and then obviously you can flat iron it. I don't particularly like to flat iron the heat defiant Whigs. Unless someone comes in with say they wear a long style and it gets a lot of friction under here and it starts to get really nappy under there. Then sometimes I'll go through and flat iron. It flat and get a lot of that frizziness out and then you can go in and put a little bit more curl back in it. But generally, if you're going to eat the frizz out a curling head, it's not really gon na help, because it's gon na just curl the frizz hair yeah, the best temperature alyssa is going to be somewhere like, I said the manufacturers, I believe they say: 350. I'M John Renault and their videos and their information says 285s, the best temperature. We try to stay somewhere between 280 and 300. Well, we never push it yeah and I think, like I mentioned, if you're just joining us and this curling iron just has a number setting the flat irons. Typically, have you know more of the temperature, so you know exactly what it is, but the curling irons usually just have a number system. This is exactly in the middle. It'S medium and a lot of times I mean you can curl with a flat iron on human. Here but I haven't had much success: curling with the flat iron on the heat define at all, because it just I don't know you have to cold set it. I think roblem, okay, um Don you're, wanting to know if there's a blonde shade genre. That has a little bit more of the low lights and 24 BT. 18S 8 is probably gon na. Do you don't you think? Oh come on up Lizzie yeah? If you want more of a defined highlight low-light, I feel like this color, but she wants a darker blonde like more Lola, you want a darker than Laguna, which is that real gold bicolor this is Malibu. I I think I'm not gon na pull something for you. So say with this dawn, and but anyway, back back to this, I don't feel like curling with a flat. Iron is a good idea. It'S really! If you want to straighten it, straighten it with the flat iron, that's good, but when it comes to curling, stick to the old fashioned curling iron, and this is a one inch which is the most versatile size I find now. You'Ve heard me talk about the blow brushes. The one-and-a-half inch is the best, but for me the curling iron, you just go with them. One inch, that's like gon na okay, so this is looking at. So this is what dawns you're talking about dawn, which has a gold kind of undertone, see the difference I feel like that, gives you just a little bit more depth yeah without going too dark you're right, so that would be the lowlights I think you're looking for In the 12 FS 8 or the 12 FS 12, depending on how dark you want the root yeah, if you're wanting the California blonds and they make it like, she said: a 24 bt 18, you just kind of a gold kind of rooted blonde and which is Free so good questions. You just have to remember cold, set it and hold that curl right where you want it, and you can get exactly the shape you wan na get out of it. That is the one good thing about the heat defiant and the only drawback I really have is the the link Kevin. You know it just they don't last as long. I don't feel like and bear in mind if this is not something you want to do at home, we're a full-service salon. We provide these services for people, you can bring your wig in and we can do this for you. So if you have even you've, looked and you're watching the video and you're like - oh, I don't know you also. The other thing is in order to accomplish this. You really have to have this setup. We actually would obviously have to set up and and there's products you can buy, to get a set up at home, but just bear in mind if you, if you look at this and you think gee, I really want that. I like to curl away from the face, so I always just start here and just curl back and then, when you get to the back C, it just kind of comes together and you get this nice kind of messy kind of crown. That seems to be like the whole, like focus right now is to get the heat defiant, better, Andy, the lace fronts more natural-looking and they're doing awesome stuff. The only one that I have that issue with - and I think we've talked to Alesia about - is Renee. Paris is not really they're not doing any heat defiant which that's okay, because their fiber is great and their lace fronts they're just kind of venturing into that. So if you're watching and you're looking for a good quality lace front, I think Jean Renault and Raquel are the two. But let's remember the last amore line that came out where they had put the reinforcements counterpart when they surged with the monofilament and the lace which was really impressive. I think yeah because if you've worn lace, that's where it sometimes separates, and once that separates it's done for so that is a great thing that Renee of Harris is doing. I just wish they get that I mean I just think. Raquel is great because they put that that blind right around the front where it blends into your skin tone better but comfort, wise. You can't be you. Can you can't? I mean they're all good in their own way. I just wish to know if they ever came together and made this one conglomeration they just take over the world these nice.
