And my hair grows pretty fast, so probably need to cut like another in four weeks or five weeks. You think what do you think? Well, i do uh, because i do so many undercuts yeah so um i do more or less like an undercut touch-up. So in about four weeks, you can come in just for the bottom yeah and then four weeks after that and come in for the hole, cool yeah, wasn't that one of those i'm really dating myself now right, seven weeks, maybe okay, yeah you're in on it too Huh she thought you went on this too. That'S awesome! This is my number one. I have oh yeah. I saw him. I love what you've done with your hair. Oh thank you all right. Actually, the tat is awesome like i'd have to get a closer look at all of it, but it looks pretty dope. I like it was that a long process getting your whole head, um, no, not really yeah, i mean in the grand aspect of things uh after i was retired from the military. I got started yeah and then um. So i started with the back of my head and then about a year or two later i finished the estimate - nice yeah, probably about maybe about 12 hours wow what service raymond i was in the army me too air force and army. Actually, i did the air force first, believe it or not: okay, crazy right, but the army they sent me to school like they paid for my education. I got my degree. It was awesome. What did you do on both branches um? I was totally separate, like totally different jobs. I was a journalist in the air force public affairs and i really wanted to get out of that and get into physical therapy. So i tried to cross train in the air force and they wouldn't. Let me it was at the time they were like downsizing at that time. This is back in the like early 2000s, okay and um, so i just got out after four years and then um joined the army and became a combat medic. Thank you yeah, and then they sent me to school for pt and he got a job working at pansies. So did you get a utilize? Your combat medic training on deployments? I did not um. I actually i feel really torn about this, but i never got deployed and i wanted to go. We were ready to go in fact and i got injured stateside, and so i had to get out. Well, don't don't try your best not to to be torn about it because, like i, i have a lot of conversation with that's all over the place: okay, wow! How long were you over there uh that one was 12 on 12 13. and then the next one was another 12. emily? How did you handle that huh? How did you handle all that? Oh i was i we met about eight months, yeah yeah, that's good! You'Ve been dating for about eight months now: oh okay, almost nine yeah awesome. Eight months months, yeah yeah, brand's faking new yeah. That'S awesome! Young love! Well, thirties! Yeah! You have a daughter, i do. How old is she yeah, she's, eight eight yeah, the best age ever yeah, i think yeah she's, just smarty too yeah that could be trouble later on, though huh. Well, i don't know she's seen i think she's gon na hold it together. Okay, that's good and she's gon na hold it together. She'Ll, be like amazing. Do you like she'll, be one of those that gets through high school without getting into too much trouble right, yeah, she's? Definitely a rule follower and oh wow doesn't take after her dad either. This already feels better good. I hate having all that hair down my neck for some reason, like my hairline goes way down right now. I have a lot of clients like that. Yeah, it's horrible. I hate it because it you know, then, if i just want to trim that up, i can't do it myself. I have to actually have it done right. All right. I wanted to like put the mix in the back whenever it goes down. I love that you do this in a visit yeah. It does because i've wanted this for so long and i was always like afraid to go to another style like any stylist. You know because, like you know, i don't know, here's a difference, yeah a different difference. Yeah for sure, and then undercuts yeah yeah. So is that what your haircut is considered? The shag, no uh, the bang is yeah. I have an undercut. You have an incubator. It'S like an undercut little mullet, it's kind of my own thing, yeah! No, i like it. It definitely works on you. Thank you yeah. I know i just don't want to look like everyone else. That'S yeah! I hear you. I'Ve been conforming. My whole life, like i'm, ready for something right, yeah. I know in the military too yeah. Oh yeah, you can't wear anything like this. I mean a woman couldn't for sure she's just dumb. I always had it long and pulled back in a bun and that's how i wore it for almost nine years and that's the only thing i could do. You know yeah yeah and then, whenever i had my hair down like when i wasn't in uniform, i always had it tied back anyway yeah because it was always in my face. I cut my hair short about. I want to say six years ago maybe - and i just kept it short ever since i like it like super cute. You look very visual here. Thank you and the cool thing about short hair is number one either more trendy number two. You look like you're. More put together because you do it more yeah, it's easier right and it looks like you keep up with yourself yeah and you know also it's it doesn't take too long. So you do your makeup too, because right time, yes, you know, yeah they're, just gon na walk out of the house put together right, there's nothing bad about short hair for me. No, i love short hair. I took a chance, though, because that was the first time i'd ever had it cut short, so i really didn't know what it was gon na pronounce right, but it worked. I like it. Do you ever get um people in here that, like want to cut it all off and go from really long hair to short hair? Oh yeah, yeah yeah? What is it like for them when they have that done? I mean it's just a huge, it's crazy. They sit up more, you know, sit upright a little bit more. Their posture gets better. I mean yeah, it's it's crazy! There'S been a few that i've made um just recently too and uh she cut off. She had kind of like a almost like a longer bob she's been trying to grow it out and she's like no more and so yeah. She uh ended up putting it all off and she just looks like a new woman. That'S awesome, yeah! It'S definitely like a different look. Yeah. You can change your whole appearance with just the way you do your hair um. So how did they find you what um, what a page or yeah so on facebook and um with a person who posted about meeting models? For you yeah and um, and so i signed up for i just i just messaged the person and i was like hey, you know, i said i already have short hair but i'd love to go shorter. You know yeah, and so i sent a picture and i was like this is my current situation. You know pretty much what you were looking at this morning and um, which wasn't bad, but it was getting long. You know like longer than i like and i'm like. I was thinking about uh, oh, and then they sent me your instagram and um and also um like a bunch of pictures, and i think it was another instagram account that was all short hairs again model that was coming in. She had a family on alamo ranch. Moms or something like that, oh okay and it's crazy, because i'm a part of that group, i'm like i didn't see that yeah - that person must be posting uh in a lot of different places, then, which is good, probably get a lot of models that way. Yeah. Do you ever want to do an 85? My mom would love it. Yes, i showed her um the pictures and i was like hey i'm going to have one of you. You know something like this done today and she's like oh that's, awesome and her hair. Is she has so much hair yeah, it's thick and wavy, and she doesn't know what to do with it. I'M like why don't you try something and she's like i'm ready to just shave it all off yeah and i'm like you, don't have to do that, though. You know like: let's do something cute right, so if you're down uh, we can yeah, we can make that happen. She would love it yeah. She wants something different right now, her hair is just kind of all over the place. So so you know, i don't know enough about like hair products, i'm such a simple thing like i'm so well, it depends. I mean you have good hair, you know so it you probably don't know because you don't have to you know, there's a lot of people that don't have very you know, or just you know, curly hair yeah right that they can't really uh manage and oh yeah For sure yeah, they're, gon na know more products and then sometimes if it gets dirty enough, it'll curl up a lot. When i go to the gym curl up yeah, my hair was always like dead straight as a kid and then, as i got older, it got really really wavy and then it got dead straight again. Like okay, can you settle on something so you're putting all the videos on youtube? Then um? Yes, they are yeah they're gon na make into that collection, nice yeah, maybe over the year everything we've been talking about. I don't think so, but i i they already did a little thing on me, though too, which is cool um. It was they labeled it hairdresser on fire. Also, nice yeah. I like that scene. Are you getting all your va benefits? Yeah, perfect yeah. I got 100 permanent in total, so i'm like i'm good yeah, nice yeah, so yeah, i'm really lucky, because i have dental and vision and all that stuff taken care of yeah yeah. It'S really helpful to be able to have that. You know like if you're gon na, if you're gon na kick me out, because i'm you know like medically injured, like at least take care of me, i know, did they retire? What was your percentage of the military uh? Actually, no, i didn't get the rating until i got out till after i got out, so i wasn't medically retired. They just basically were like okay. You have two options here: you're like you, can stay in and basically not go anywhere or you can get out and you know move on because what happened was. Is this gon na be like? Are they going to be able to hear me on video? Are they going to be able to hear her on video? Are they going to be able to hear her story? Yeah they'll hear everything. Will they hear her story like okay? Okay, so i was assaulted, okay, okay, that's what they want to do. They want the video to be interactive, so that's good! Okay, because she she's gon na say something personal, and so that's why? Okay, all right, i think, he's making sure yeah. So that's kind of what happened and those two guys wound up getting promoted and um right. Yep and it was swept under the rug basically - and i was left with like well um, you know basically given an option to get out not deal with. They didn't want to deal with it. That'S that's it. I'M very sorry, yeah! It'S it's up from what i've heard. That'S normal yeah, it's very normal. I'Ve had i've had a lot of clients that say the same thing. Definitely it happens all the time, yeah all the time and um. I i don't understand like why that narrative is still around right all these years later. You know right, but people deal with it all the time and that's the reason why i didn't get deployed because it happened in my unit just before yeah and it was it was bad like i was physically injured. So that's. That was a big part of why i was able to get the disability rating. I'Ve dealt with it a lot since then. I appreciate that but i've you know, i think i've had a lot of therapy. I'M still living yeah a lot since then i'll probably be in therapy for a very long time and i'm okay with it. It helps well you're, probably helping a lot of people, though too yeah well, i mean even if you're not you know public about it, like some people that you talk to, i'm sure that you know you help out a lot yeah we're in like i'm. In a couple groups like support groups and stuff like that, and we do share our stories and it is really helpful, at least for me speaking, you know, like speaking for myself, it's really helpful to be able to like just hear from other people and their experiences And what they did to kind of overcome it or learn to live with it anyway, because that was a big part of it, for me was learning how to live with it yeah, and there were a couple times i didn't didn't, want to well, and it it Took your future away, your planned future like yeah, i had it all mapped out yeah i had it all mapped out. I really thought i knew exactly where i was right. You know like this is it this is for me yep! That'S not because you never know you never know. I thought i had that job security yeah it. When you said you bought a house huh, it did yeah. You got your tax exemption paperwork, yeah yeah. As soon as i um. As soon as i got 100. I was like okay, i'm going house shopping, that was all it took, you know, and that was back in 2016, so i haven't really had it very long, but i've been able to have that house now for. Well, i guess almost six years. Yes, the solar is complemented the way we have to get. No you. Well, it's a good time to do it. Definitely i found a uh. I got to do a little bit more research, but i found a couple: va lending programs, yeah you're, actually able to there's a lot. You can do with your va home loan. It all depends on the specific lending company you're working with, because they have the ability to put on specific overlays or standards to what they will utilize to be a home loan for yeah. So these ones that i found will allow you to purchase a plot of land and then also finance the build that way, because you have to plummet to like with well and septic and all that yeah. That'S why i mean when you're, when you land, when you're shopping for land, you want to do your best to obviously stay within your budget yeah, but also find it where all the utilities are. Your brand too right right, you don't have to contract with the calendar. Yeah for sure, so do you you found a piece of land, then that you, like uh, i've, slowly been looking um. There is one that i kind of got my eyes on, but it's a little costly. Where is it at for what area? I think it's around here: okay, it's like 80 acres, though damn 80 acres, and i think the asking price was like 555. wow yeah. I bet it's beautiful, though 80 acres, the uh. The nice thing is, though, is what i would like to build is not necessarily a house, but a partner, minion houses are so cost effective. You have a house built you're, looking at two two three four hundred dollars: a square foot yep three, four hundred millions of 20 30.. I never park on that side, but i kind of love it yeah. That'S awesome so like on this side, it'll, look shorter, yeah and then this side will look longer and then you can. Even you know, i'm just gon na get the fade tightened up and a little bit of some texturizing yeah the thing about those container homes. Is they, i think you get like used like old containers like use containers and then they like tear out the walls on some of them? And oh man, i've seen them like two stories tall or better get those containers, depending on the condition and what you want to do with them. Pretty cheap between like 1200 to 2500 yeah they're. Really, not that i'm sorry they're really not that bad. They look they're pretty cool like if you like, the industrial look and everything, that's something i wonder what they'd be like in the summer time. Here, though, i don't know like a tin can out there, insulation is key. Yes, that's for sure not saying you need to do this, but it'd be good. Yes, might be a good idea. I'Ve seen the barn dominions too um yeah they're, like kits right, like um. It'S like a kit that a builder uses not a kit really but like uh, it's kind of like just a shell, yeah and then all of your stuff is is more or less uh. However, you want to, if you want a big open plan, you know rooms to decide. You can do that. I mean it's you're not really limited to anything, that's pretty cool, so you can make it like as open as you want yeah and it's you can get five thousand six thousand square foot home for just over a hundred thousand. That'S amazing. But then you have to that doesn't include like the um, the fixtures and everything like you have to put all that in separately. That'S another cause that should be about about the same okay, nice, because i'd want to like customize everything you know: countertops cabinets and all that stuff. But when you're, when you're only paying 20 to 30 square foot as opposed to the two three hundred, it makes a huge difference. Yeah definitely would you have horses and animals out there? Would your daughter like that um haven't you, i think so yeah. I think so. We went to corny ball one year and uh. The kiddo went on a little pony, ride, yeah and she's like never again. You should have seen her face going around she's like, oh, my god get me off of here. Oh man, not her thing huh. I guess you go trail. Running trail riding is a lot different, it's much different than going around in a circle with a bunch of little kids yeah. You know the animal's not feeling it yeah for sure yeah yeah, totally different moon's in our food. It'S just i mean what you're getting i want to do steroids. I go talk to my doctor, yeah much better to buy from local butchers like local farmers ranchers, you know for all your stuff. If you can, but even then you still pay a premium right now. You have to want to have short hair, oh for sure, yeah yeah. They were. You always had those dimples uh pierce. Thank you. I finished my uh, it's just from piercings, it's just from pierce uh-huh. What yeah yeah yeah yeah no yeah um. It was hard, but it wasn't easy for them to peel yeah yeah. So once i um once they made the dimples, i was like i'm out piece. I just took them out yeah. I can't you, don't actually wear the piercings yeah. Okay, it all closed up. Oh gosh, but they stayed yeah. What'S i love it? I just love how it came out of there. I know it's the best it'll change, like your complete hair texture. You can already see it's just yeah, so i like it because and with your texture too, let's have the same thing happens with me i'll put in some uh paste. You know my hair stick and it just makes it awesome. It'Ll make it um all greasy and then it'll lay down like after about two hours, nice, so um, and this doesn't wow yeah. That'S one thing. I noticed about the stuff that i have it's like. It all seems to fall. Like everything falls, you know after a while, and so i like this stuff and then i put on some paste, okay and then smells good too wow she's getting it. Thank you. You like it looks great right. Does it pass the test it passed for me or him? Oh, my god, absolutely, but i had no doubt like i came in here after looking at your instagram, i'm like i have no doubt this is going to be awesome, yeah, absolutely so great. That really works cute yeah, it kind of like frames my face. Yes, okay, wow, oh my god and you even got the cowlick yeah funky, that's amazing! Oh my gosh! I love it and that's a little bit more of a hard part. I like it, though i really do it looks super cute yeah. Thank you. You are so welcome, appreciate it so much. I swear that thing has been with me. My whole life and driving crazy. So come back in about four weeks right. Yes, okay and then um. You could just get me through instagram, yeah and say hey. I need your help, yeah and then i'll book you, okay, see still down now right, very, very little though yeah, just with the you should see. My back, you are so welcome. Thank you.
