-1:02 He starts by using a 1 1/2 metal guard on his Oster clippers.

-2:45 Using trimmers, he cleans up the neckline.

-2:55 Switching his clippers, MC uses a 1 plastic guard.

-3:10 He uses an open blade, adjusting the lever when needed.

-3:49 Learn a blunt cutting technique done with a straight razor. This will leave the ends looking softer with more texture.

-5:15 Watch how to notch the hair using a straight razor, this will also create more texture and movement in the hairstyle you wish to create.

-5:28 Another razor cutting technique is a sculpting technique. This is used to blend the sides and back of the hairstyle into your fade by removing bulk.

-7:25 Using the same technique on the top of the head will create texture, movement, and remove bulk. This will make your hairstyle easier to style.

-9:00 Learn how to use the notching technique done with a razor to remove length on the top of the head.

-10:41 Watch MC use scissors over comb to further blend the sides and back of the hairstyle into the fade.

-11:12 He uses trimmers to shape up the beard line, hair line, and neck line.

Enjoy!!

You for this haircut the tools I'm going to use six and a half inch scissors, a straightedge razor with no guard shape up razor six-inch coal trading, Clippers heavy-duty clippers and edgers; alright. So let's get going so this is going to be a short style tapered on the back about one and a half on the side and we're going to cut it up with a straightedge razor for a messy look or slick as he likes to style it alright. So we are going to start from the back from the nape right here. You you, you, you all right! So since I'm going to cut the top and half, basically I'm going to use straight edge for the top, I saw the side I'm going to connect with the top with a straight edge razor. I'M going to find my guide underneath and I'm going to you you you here, I'm using a sculpting technique to remove the weight and to blend top with the sides. You you you so that was a razor over comb technique or sculpting technique. Now I'm going to cut the top down with the razor technique as well, I'm going to take section starting from the back. I still want to keep that texture look, so I'm not going to use the scissors for this, I'm going to use a straight edge and keep that soft look what's removed along with whispers. You you to use the scissors here just to catch this Flyway surround and clean up the sides. You you you all right. So this is the haircut. We did one and a half on the side. We did the razor on the top. Gives you a nice texture. Look a nice fall haircut that it that is it thanks for watching, don't forget to subscribe MC barber comm! Thank you! So much until next time.

jean-francois Martinbault: When blending with the razor on the top of the sides, how high up do you start cutting to even the blend? Could you please do a video on blending with the razor, I have tried it a few times and love the results, but it's very difficult to find the right spot and I find I need some principles to follow. Thanks!
