I hope you all doing well and so in the last few videos I put up like well, the last view the to be is I thought about my pixie cut and have been fairly popular and a lot of you guys have commented on them. Saying that you get in you're either getting a pixie crop done or you're considering getting a pixie cut done. So I thought I'd have a little chat with you guys about the kind of pros and cons of having a pixie cut and kind of things that I'm good to like. Remember before you get one done, because he's definitely things that I've realized that I didn't necessarily know would happen after getting a pixie cut. So, first things first, but one thing I really really want to talk about is the confidence a pixie cut gives you - and this is quite a random revelation. I really didn't expect at all. So when I got my pixie cut done and if you seen the vlog, you will know if not links down below, but it was because I absolutely destroyed my hair with bleach. It was absolutely ruined and the only option was cut it off before it falls off, and the first thing I noticed when the hairdresser kind of turned me around in the chair and had the big reveal was how much of my face I could see, because before I had cut my hair short. I had really really big volumous head, I'm style and color a lot, and so you didn't really see my face, which was a really weird reaction to having short hair. But I won't that's actually what my face looks like not having something to hide behind is at first really daunting. I felt a bit weird about having short hair fro first, the first couple of days and spit like oh my gosh. I love it, but I also feel very exposed, but after a while it gives you such a massive confidence boost you get so many compliments and also I started noticing people noticing my face floor and I was noticing my face more. I'M kind of learning to love myself from that. So definitely a pro that you kind of learn to embrace what you really look like with short hair, because there's nothing really to change their icon to remember is definitely that pixie cuts, though they may seem like they're easy to maintain, are not easy to maintain. Unless you have something like a short bus car or like a really really short hair style, that you can fall asleep, wake up and go in pixie cuts are really really hard to style. It'S not that they're, not necessarily that difficult to style. It'S more that they're hard because you get up in the morning and you've got to either blow-dryer or you've got to curl it or you've got to straighten it. We'Ve got to do something with it and there's no way to just shove it up in a quick messy, bun and kind of make it work, because if you try and put this in a quick messy, bun, you're gon na fail dramatically a great thing about pixie Cuts is new clothes and obviously new clothes, don't just magically appear, but you kind of start reinventing and refined in things in your wardrobe that you didn't necessarily wear before and this how obviously happens every time you change your hair? Okay, let me try and you change your hair color. You start finding new styles, finding new things you like, but I've never had that massive style change that I have with this pixie cut, because suddenly I can go really ultra feminine with my clothes and I don't look too girly, it's kind of cool, because what sure Hair, but in a little flowy dress or I can go the opposite way and go really uncrossing us, which I'm really loving at the moment. I just love having like the short hair and then some boxy clothes on, try and make it look a little bit more masculine. It'S just really fun to play around with different styles and kind of reinvent myself a little bit. However, the next con is definitely the new coat a because new clothes are expensive. So if you don't have anything, your wardrobe that you necessarily like with your new hair, you're kind of stuck, and also because some of the stuff that you used to wear, you may find you absolutely hate. So I used to love wearing like kind of high neck staff, like short sleeves or high-neck long-sleeve stuff, but for some reason I don't know why. Ever since I had my hair cut, I just really really don't like really high neck things on me. Just because I feel a little bit like a bobble head like this, nothing to lengthen this out, it's just neck head hair, and so that's literally just a personal preference. I don't know why a lot of people say they like high necks. For me. I just don't like any more, and I have no idea why. So that definitely is something to bear in mind if you've got a very set personal style that you love, maybe be aware that you may no longer love it. When you get your new hair and maybe you'll have to rethink what you wear, but maybe not maybe you love it it'll be absolutely, but that was something that I didn't quite expect and it was a bit of a shock. Okay, so final, pro of the video is definitely the new hairstyles you can play around with so the thing a lot of people think you cut your hair short and then it's just one style forever, and that is so not the case. Obviously, if you want to just wear one style forever, fair enough, but there's so many different things you can do with your hair, you can curl it. You can straighten it. You can add little accessories. That'S what I really learned to like love since cutting my hair. I just love playing around with hair bands, little clips on the side of my head, some glasses of my hair, just kind of having a little play, and I find that I'm more adventurous now that I've got your hair because I've got less to work with. So I need to work with more if that makes sense, so I haven't got the hair to braid, so instead, I'm going to put little like teeny, tiny, Minnie Mouse, bun Chee's in with which I literally let that big. But then I can put no clips in with that to kind of make it work. And finally, the final con is definitely short. Hair is expensive. I didn't realize this. I think for me personally, a husband that expensive purely because I do study hair at university here. One of the parts of the course is hair, so I already had a lot of my kit for styling short, hair kind of looking after short hair just by chance. So when I cut my hair, I came home, I was, I already got the wax and the mousse and the hairspray and the curlers and the tongs and the strikers. Unfortunately, not a lot of people have that, and it doesn't happen that you cut off your long hair and that long hair just magically turns into hair products, because you've just got to go to the shop and buy a hell of a lot of things. That really. I don't think people realize and because suddenly you need a lot more Hydra shampoo, because short hair gets all year faster, and so you need to be dry. Shampoo bring it more because you don't want to wash it every day and it's unhealthy for your hair, etc, etc. So it is quite important to remember that you do. I still have to maintain your hair, but I must say that on the opposite side of this is because you've got such short hair. You use a lot less products than I did on long hair. This is something I found even just chopping, my head from just below my shoulders to up here. My conditioner lasts so much longer. My shampoo lasts so much longer, which is nice because I am saving money there. So then, yes, all the three pumps are spend or what actually isn't that big a deal, it's kind of evens out, so you know, but that's it guys. I really hope you enjoyed this video and I hope you kind of got an idea of what it's like. What the pros and cons are of having a pixie cut just cuz. I was looking a lot into it before I did mine, but I really didn't have the chance to fully delve deep into it. So I just thought it was a nice to kind of. Let you guys know what my personal pros and cons for having a pixie cut are I have tool it in a previous video and I will say again like to be honest. I am growing out my pixie cuts. That doesn't mean I'm gon na not going to go back to a pixie cut because I've absolutely loved having short hair. It'S been so surprising. How much I genuinely love having short hair, but I'm seriously having some ponytail Envy and I want to have a little cute bulb for graduation and for the summer I want to have little pigtails, so you know I'm gon na grow out, but I might be going Back to it in the future, because it is a really fun style to have and very underrated. I feel I think, a lot of people if you're willing to take the risk, take the risk, at least once because it's a really fun style to have - and one thing I will say, is if you've always wanted to pixie cut but you've either been told or You'Ve told yourself that your face isn't gon na suit a pixie cut just go for it because, honestly, I think there's a cup for everyone, a shortcut for everyone to see delve into the little world of short hair for a bit, because it's a an interesting place To be yeah, that's it from you guys, and I will see you my next video see you later. You

amelie c: you know what, if i do end up cutting my hair into a pixie and people mistake me for a boy, i'll be a hot boy anyway

Kai: I have waist length hair and part of me just wants to cut it all off but I love how my long hair flows dramaticly in the wind

Neon: Im nonbinary and i finally convinced my mom to let me get a pixie-cut after christmas!! Im so excited Edit: she didn't let me get a pixie cut, she let me cut it to a few inches past my shoulders, dysphoria is a bitch, especially since im quarantined with her and she always calls me she/her Edit again: Okay so so i finally got it cut today!!! I love it so much and I feel much better about myself!!! :)))

Sarah: Debated getting a pixie cut for literally 5. Whole. Years. Lol Finally got one and omg, I'm soooo happy with it!! I finally feel like myself <3

FBI: when i got a pixie cut the hairdresser literally refused to cut my hair shorter because she said she didn’t want me to look like a boy. so then i went home and did it myself lol and it looks sooo good and i don’t look like a boy what a surprise

Daisy’s Perspective: This is actually such a helpful video! Cutting your hair is always so scary - but yours looks incredible x

Ash's Asmr: my mum says I can't get a pixie cut because I will look like a boy, but I want to look like a boy! I'm not trans I just would rather throw on jeans a baggy hoodie and have majestic short hair, she says also that only people with small features and slime faces suit it

mars: what would you say you should do if you're worried about your face shape with a pixie cut? i have a unique face shape, and it worries me that I'd look bad with short hair. that's one of my huge setbacks.

vvortoxx: so i’m getting a pixie hair and shaved at the back, i’ve always had long hair and it’s kind of a struggle and i easily get bored of my hair. My mum used to have short hair and we look very similar so i asked her if i could get a pixie because she looked bomb with it and she said yes! i’m a bit worried though because i have a fat face and chubby cheeks so i’m scared it will look weird, I’m also slightly worried about what people at school will think of me.

Heaven Bunny: I’m definitely considering getting a pixie cut. My face is very round and my hair very thick, but my mum has the same sort of face and hair type and her pixie cut looks great. Plus I have had my hair cut a few inches above my shoulders before and I got complements for it. I already don’t care about hair styling and whatnot so I think overall the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. It will be so much easier to take care of! I don’t like my long hair. Your pixie cut looks amazing by the way!

Lizzie's Playlists: I had a pixie cut for quite a long time. I didn't style it or use products. I had an easy style that didn't need any of these things. The only thing I did need was a little water spray bottle because once my hair was shorter, a little bit of hair at the crown of my head was prone to sticking out when I woke up. Once I sprayed water on it it was fine. So please don't think that all short hairstyles need styling, products, time etc.

Rebeca : D: Wow, this was really helpful. I've been thinking of cutting my hair short for a while, as the shortest I've had it is a bob. I know your haircut is a pixie, but what exactly did you ask for when getting it cut? I really like the way it looks.

thatemilygirl: This video was what actually made me go through with the scary decision of cutting my hair, and I am so glad I did! Love your vids!!

e: i desperately want to cut my hair short but i don’t want to regret it

Jeanet Henning: I feel like I haven't watched one of your videos in forever but I've been so busy and it's so nice to be back. I think you always manage to make your hair work no matter the colour or look! You look like Princess Diana with the short hair! Loved the video!

Eloise Elliott: I've been growing my hair from a pixie cut and honestly I hate how much my hair hides my face. I'm getting it cut again ( I wanted to buzz it but my school won't let me :( )

m c-s: I really want to get a pixie cut but my face is kinda chubby and idk if it would look good on me

Pro Gamer: My bff has a pixie cut and it suits her really well

Rachel Ingram: I shaved the sides and back of my hair and I kept the middle a little shorter than a bob. I can still put the middle in a pony tail and a bun. I am about to get it cut again and I am either going with a female Mohawk or cutting the middle just a tiny bit longer than the shaved side and back. I love it bc I can wear a dress and look like a girl but I also like looking more like a guy with a hoodie and sweatpants.

Mariah Hook: I had a pixie 6 years ago, and yeah, everyone commented on seeing my face more. Also, I started wearing infinity scarves. Now i'm back to my usual 16+ inch long red hair with blunt bangs... the standard for me since I was 2 Haha

Lil Is A Ghost: These are all so true! I cut all my hair off a few weeks ago, and you really see so much more of your face than before.

Haykey: I’ve been wanting to do something new with my hair for so long now. I’ve been really wanting to get a pixie cut because it’s something I haven’t done before and I’ve wanted to do it for a bit now. I’ve even pinned my hair to kinda test it out before I did it and i loved it. So I’m planning to cut it after I graduate in June. (so if it looks bad only my co workers and family will see it) I’ll update when it’s done!!

Gancanagh: Tip: if you don’t want your pixie to look messy, from what I’ve observed, a beanie really helps :D

LusaFinn Snapll: Another things about pixies! When you do have shorter hair it can grow quickly, meaning you have to get it cut often. Therefor if you want you can mess around with it and test out different cuts.

Isa: How do you style your hair like it is in the video? It looks so good, especially since you’re growing it out from a pixie!

Lord of the Ducks: I wear enough makeup that I think I’d still look female. I think I’d enjoy short hair because I also like to play with wigs, so it would make the process of putting on a wig cap and the wig itself 10x easier. It also seems like it would be way easier to maintain in terms of shampooing and conditioning. I’d also like to experiment with more androgynous looks. I’m very comfortable with my femininity, but it would be cool to experiment with some masculine styles just to explore what my gender means to me. My only concern is that my dad won’t approve, since my grandparents/his parents raised him much more conservatively, and he got raised with a lot of those ideas. What I’m thinking about doing would make my hair shorter than both of my brothers, which is honestly not hard to do, since one of them has hair that almost reaches his shoulders. But in the end, it’s just hair, and it’ll grow back. They already let me dye it, so while this seems a little more extreme, I don’t think I’d get disowned for it.

Rochelle S: i disagree on a pixie being pricey and having to style a lot. Having a pixie has been the most low maintenance hair style i have ever had. Saves a lot of time from my morning routine and not much to do styling wise, i just move it around with my hand until it looks the way i want it to lol. And my pixie dosen't get greasy at all, having long hair on the other hand now that gets greasy fast.

RhomanysRealm: I don’t really understand the styling thing. Why bother styling 2 inches or hair? I don’t even have a hairdryer. If I wake up with ‘bed head’ I just ruffle it up, add some hairspray and rock it like it’s meant to be like that.

Jeffrees Vanityyy: I’m thinking of getting a pixie cut again I got a pixie cut for the first time in like 8th grade then got a pixie cut again in freshmen or sophomore year in high school. The last time I cut my hair was last year and I cut it to where it was just long enough to put in a ponytail. I feel like both styles are very easy going to take care of/deal with but a pixie cut is definitely easier. But at the same time I’m not sure if it will look good on me now. I liked it back then even though my mom and brother didn’t but I’m almost 20 and I’m old enough to not care what they think about my hair. Besides my mom said recently I might as well shave my head and that it would look better than me wearing a hat all the time. So I doubt she will care if I got a pixie cut again.

ThatChonkyFonky: What syle pixie did you get? I WANT IT SO BAD!!

liv :3: i wish i saw this before i decided to chop my hair to a pixie cut! my clothes look so awkward, it’s sooooo high maintenance (which people don’t understand), and waitresses always call me “sir”

Patricia: I have just come across your channel and I find your videos really relatable. You've got a new subscriber :)

Roxy Shorts: I'm a young teen (I'm not going to say my exact age bc of internet safety) and I'm worried I won't look good. I also can't picture myself with it because I've always had long hair. Anyone for any tips because I am DYING to just chop it all off.

Nikibee468: I want to get a pixie cut so baddd, but im afraid I'll look like a man haha

Lorena Alvarez: I have wanted to cut my hair short for MONTHS but I don't have your traditionally feminine face and I don't want people mistaking me for a boy or thinking that I'm bi or gay or even trans (not that there's anything wrong with that but it would lead to a very uncomfortable conversation that I'd rather not go through). So I'm thinking I will start taking care of my skin so my acne disappears and I can learn how to use makeup to make my face look more feminine. I hope it goes well but I'm sure it'll take a LOT of time

Mariah Hook: My red hair is almost down to my butt now, after a pixie, and it's SO easy to style, but I'm almost tired of it being long again I want a pixie again, but the very thing that makes my looking hair easy, is the very thing that makes short hair really difficult: It's super thick, fine, and straight. As a pixie, it's just super flat...

velventinao: i have the same hairstyle as her. its been two days since I cut it myself and I feel sooo good, Ive always had short hair and just felt like cutting it. do it,cut your hair

LGBT_Gacha .Editz: I'm just realizing the "new style finding" is what is going on with my friend. That helped so much.

faith white: Ahhh! I really love your haircut! It looks so beautiful on you. I think i'd look like a boy, but i really want one

Emma Leeg: You’re so pretty oh my goodness!! And your hair is so freaking cute too!

Helene Pf: Dry shampoo does the same to your hair as washing does. It will also get used to the interval you use dry shampoo! So your hair will get greasy and everything over the same time...

Nora Eld: My skin is so bad so I'm scared of people seeing my skin more even though they already do probably also my jaw is kinda shit

Rim Bentahar: Hey thank you for your video! Im considering going for one but I have this big ass nose and im afraid it just draws more attention to it :(

《Kumiko * Gacha》: ive had my hair in a pixie cut for 4 months and im growing it out

Gaby Peters: What clothing styles fit better with a pixie cut?

lexy deblieux: Me watching this knowing my mom doesn’t allow me to cut my hair. Fr I’ve never had a pair of scissors put to my head.

A Scott: I really want to get a pixie cut but I don't know if my parents will say yes. Do I approach the subject for my birthday?

Past Eri: Im watching this with a pixi cut and i love it

isabella.m: Your hair is the same exact way I want mine but my grandma said I look like a boy and I would look weird but I REALLY want to cut my hair exactly like yours

Mereniz: PLEASE READ I NEED ADVICE I don't really care what I look like as long as I am being myself and happy but my mother keeps saying my long hair is beautiful as if I care about it. I am staying with my dad now and he is much more supportive than her and actually agreed to take me to a stylist. He said it is up to me, I really want to get a short haircut but I am scared of covid 19. Half of my mind says fuck corona and get it cut but the other half says no don't do it yet. With schools starting in a few weeks I think it is almost guaranteed that I will get corona anyways because there is no way my mother would let me stay home so I might tell my dad that I decided to get the haircut tomorrow. I feel like I will regret it if I don't do it. I've wanted it for almost a year and I don't know when I will get the chance to stay with my dad again. If anyone reads this please reply I can't decide by myself. My hair is curly/wavy by the way so if you have any suggestions about short curly/wavy hair please say it as well. Also I will probably go home in a week so I might delete this comment after that.

Gissel Valderas: Bruh im a 14yo girl and I wanted a pixie cut but my mom and dad said no because my mom says that when she had one (which she showed me a picture of her in a "pixie cut" though it was a bowl cut all because her mother was tired of having to brush her hair so she cut her hair short) she didnt look good so she claims that if she cant pull it off i cant either. She also says that im going to have to wear makeup and other things (even though i never wear makeup and only during important things like weddings or graduations) because my face will stand out and i cant hide behind my hair (though i have always put my hair in a ponytail smh ) then my dad says that he doesnt want his daughter looking like a boy and he will disown me if i cut it. I have made a deal with my mom to cut my hair into a pixie if i get good grades in all my classes (i have honors and AP classes) Im "supposedly" going to get my hair cut sometime this year but its probably only going to be the tips of my hair since thats what they told me last time. They said your going to get your pixie cut and bam i only got the tips cut smh

IntrovertedGirl: What pixie cut did you get?? I love it!

Jeffrees Vanityyy: When I had a pixie cut it wasn’t hard to maintain lol I just had to brush it then I was good to go

Carolina Herrera: This cut is great because is not too short.I like this just a bit longer.

Jessica Williamson: I love your accent ❤️❤️❤️

fish: Nice video I want a pixie but my mom dosnt know if she'll let me get one yet

max8.43: I have a pixie cut and I like it but quite a bit ago I bleached my hair 2 times and it was fried I dyed it blue but my brown roots are growing in so I kinda wanna chop of all my fried blue hair and have an even shorter pixie, my hair is curly though so I'm scarred it might curl up to nothing what should I do?

Ace Forein: My hair was too my knees, then I cut it to my waist, then I cut it under my ears (it was ugly cuz my hair is straight and thick) now its grown down a little past my shoulders. I’m getting a pixie this summer.

Carmello Christian: My parents said they want to take me to a salon to cut my hair then i went along and cut my hair to a pixie cut cuz im LGBTQ

Gordana Mileusnic: you look much better with short hair!

Bee :D: im getting a pixie tuesday!

marnie: honestly I want to cut my hair short so bad, I have shoulder length atm but I’m not happy with it still, it used to be to my waist

dany czer: Omg I'm letting my hair grow up cuz I want to have it longer, and while that happens I have a similar hair cut like you... AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO STYLE IT Could you make a video telling us how do you style you're pixie hair? EDIT: Now I see this was posted 2 years ago and now you have long white hair LMAO, sorry

Alexis Kathleen: Wait I bleached my hair is this a good idea to get it healthier? Even though I don’t want short hair

UrGayBitch: I don’t even have a pixie cut but all the “short hair” videos have girls that with hair at least to they’re shoulders and can put it in pony’s. My hair falls out of it so pixie cut is the closest to my length

Martina Lola fraser: Even with short hair my hair don't get that oily ever lol plus I have fun fashion color so I can't wash it everyday and it wash in cold water and don't always use shampoo and conditioner but I try to just use color safe stuff and conditioner shampoo is not good for your hair it drys it out I have leave in stuff to if I find I need dry conditioner I will but for now nope got enough proudcts lol

Wolf: Is only my mom hella ok with pixie cuts? It's probably because she has a pixie cut herself but she also doesn't have a problem with any hairstyles soooo yeah

ImmortalPeanut IOWA: My head is the shape of a boy's head and IT'S NOT FAAAIR!!! wait..... If my head is the shape of some boys head's.... doesn't that mean I'll look good with a pixie cut?! Since ya know, boys look good with short hair. But... I'm a girl tho T~T

HopeCoz: i’m scared to cut my hair in case i look ugly, i have very thin hair and it’s very messy and very curly and i’m scared i’ll look ugly, i already look ugly tbh

Shirine: You kind of remind me of Olivia Williams ! Btw you're gorgeous <3

Moldy McDonalds: I was catcalled and had my gender assumed lmao
