Soft Waves Hair Tutorial || Short Hair

I was having a hard time having the curl lay where I wanted it to. So I picked up a 3/4 inch curling iron from www.crocusa.com. If y'all would like to purchase the curling iron or anything else on the Croc website.

Use code 'CHLOE30" to save 30%!!!!!

https://www.crocusa.com/

They don’t carry the curling iron anymore so this is what I recommend: https://rstyle.me/cz-n/dzty3nchx6f

Or this one

https://rstyle.me/cz-n/dtnb7zchx6f

The thing I love about this iron is that is has a HYBRID FUNCTION!!! Which is a (Spring Iron + Marcel Iron): Spring-style clamp and Marcel like rotating handle makes it easy for wrapping the hair around the barrel evenly and for quick and easy styling.

Flat iron used was the New Classic Infrared 1.5 inch Flat Iron

Texture Spray- Kenra Platinum Texture Spray

Herbal Essence Body Envy Volumizing Hair Spray

I hope y'all enjoy!

Hey guys welcome to my channel. My name is Chloe. Thank you so much for joining me today and watching. If it's your first time here, please go ahead and click that subscribe button. If you haven't already so today, I'm going to be telling you guys how to get this soft wave. Look. I told you guys on my Instagram, I was having trouble with curling my hair. I had just really like tapered the back of my hair, so it was really really hard a lot of these shorter layers, I'm not used to. So I was just having a really hard time with my 1 inch curling iron, so I decided to get a 3/4 inch curling iron and try that out and show you guys how to do that. I know it's a little different. A lot of people don't use 3/4 curling iron, but I highly suggest with short hair. This thing will be your lifesaver. This also has like a Marcel twisty on it, which is amazing. It makes curling your hair really really easy. You guys will see that. So let's go ahead and get on with this video, I'm loving my hands like I, I love the staff. I love this yeah, so I am in my bathroom again. This is the easiest place for me to actually like do my hair, while looking in the mirror. Every my house is taken up, so this is what we have to work with. I just took a shower. I blow-dried my hair. What I used it in my hair was Paul Mitchell super skinny, serum kind of put that, like mostly focusing on the ends of my hair and then at my roots, I put a th dry. I took like a pea sized, I rubbed it all in my hands and then just kind of like worked in on my route, then blow-dried it in so the lift that you see it's all from that. I didn't even use a round brush. I just kind of like I am going to be doing a tutorial on how to curl my hair with something that's new. To me, this is the croc hybrid curling iron, it's a spring iron, so like a regular spring iron and then also has like a Marcel. So you can like literally twist the top to it, and then you can lock it. You just want to like curl it and swivel it by the wand. I started using this at my. I use the Marcel actually a lot. It'S really easy to curl my hair with it. Look at that done. The Marcel is amazing, so I will show you guys how to curl your hair. With this I obviously love the 3/4 inch. I have been using 1 inch, curling irons for a really long time. I personally needed something a little tiny bit smaller, because my hair is pretty tapered in the back, and so I was having a really rough time getting that 1 inch curling iron to curl these little tiny hairs. So the 3/4 inch works perfect with that. So I'm gon na go ahead and show you guys how to do that. I'M gon na use a ponytail today and I am gon na take just a tiny, itty bitty strainer, I'm just gon na straighten out these sections just a little bit to get them to lay flat. I went ahead and just straighten just that bottom part of it, because the hair is so short. I don't really want it curled, so I went ahead and straighten it and I'm gon na take the curling iron and I'm gon na do use the Marcel leaving that little bit out and I'm just curling it guys. This is so quick. I'M gon na curl in trying to keep the curl at my root. Okay, and that is all I'm gon na. Do to that side. I'M not gon na do this back section. I tried to do it before and it kind of just looked wonky in the back. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na keep most of the back straight and then I'm just gon na curl the sides. You always want to start and curl away from your face and then curl towards your face, see how much hair leaving that. So I am using the Marcel and I clip it in and I kind of just rotate it just like that. I will show you guys how to use it if you want it to put it put it in lock. So that's what it looks like right there. Just unlock or lock so I will show you the locked portion and this you would twirl with a curling iron. Okay. That is all I'm going to do for that section. So this is back. This back part is gon na be pretty lightly curled it. It'S not gon na have a heavy curl to it next section: okay, so for this next section I'm gon na go ahead and use the Marcel, so I can twist it back and forth start curling at my root there we go then curl everything away. From my face, there's that side I'm going to leave the back straight. If you feel like you, want a little more volume in the back ear here, you can go ahead and use a flat iron to do stuff. Alright, moving over to this side, I'm gon na curl away from my vise towards my face. Oh wait and I'm gon na do the rest away. Okay, just some a few like straggly hairs right make sure to curl at the root on this side. For absolutely that is the key on that side. So it gives you that lift. So you don't need to like tease a ton. You don't really need to hairspray much, but that AVH dry and then using this small curling iron to really get in there will help you have that, like Ruthie or that root boost that you really need want. You do need it. Everybody needs volume in there. Okay, this one I'm gon na do away from my face: I'm not really focusing on keeping the curling iron so close to the root on this side, because I want these hairs to appear longer. The smaller section you take as well the tighter the curl is going to be so, if you don't want, as kind of a curl say if this curling iron is a little too small for your liking, take bigger sections and obviously don't leave the hair in there Is that, okay, as I'm going towards the back of my hair, I am doing softer curls. This is because I do not want my hair to look super curly in the back. I just kind of want it to have some wave. Can we start away from the face and front it's a little too girly yeah, not anymore? I like the front of my hair to appear longer than like this section right here and then I like this to appear a little softer a trick. I used to do all the time when I had longer hair. Do you see this, how it kind of looks jagged a little messy looking, so what I would do is I would actually straighten my hair like the ends of my hair before it curled it. That way, it kind of like nestled down nicely. You don't get these crazy little bits up there so go ahead and just straighten the ends of those and, like I said you can do that before you curl your hair. Two guys give them you some trouble there. We go okay, so up here we're gon na really focus at the root. Do you see how close I'm getting and then release all of these hairs on curling backwards? I changed my mind. I am going to curl some of these top hearts towards my face just because they were laying kind of funky. Today I think anytime, you do your hair, it's gon na be a little different. You know, like you, think you mastered something, but sometimes your hair. Just doesn't want to cooperate and that's okay, sometimes dirty hair is a lot easier to curl than clean here, but I think that that is just showing that, like you, can't get what you want the first time. So, as I'm messing with it more, do you see how nicely it's like laying and flowing I'm really liking? What'S going on now? Okay! So now what I'm gon na go do so I'm gon na go in with the Kendra enjoy texture spray, and this is easy because it just adds like a tiny bit of texture to it. Okay, you see that just that little bit of texture I'm really liking. What'S going on with my bangs, especially like I like the little swoop day, sweep good thing: okay, my favorite drugstore hairspray. Is this: it's the body and bu volumizing hairspray, nothing, crazy! Okay, let's see if the back looks okay, so I did not do any teasing on my hair. If you feel like your hair, is a tiny bit flat go ahead and take a very fine toothed comb and just backcomb it really really tight to your head. I mean I use this all the time I usually usually use it on my second and third day of my hair being dirty all right. This thing is a lifesaver like I said I seriously tried curling my hair with a one-inch curling iron, the one that I use all the time. I think it's my the brands ceramic tools. I I love it. I don't have any complaints about it, but I needed something a little smaller and I was really intrigued by a little swivel Marcel on this, so I needed to try it and I love that it has three settings so there's 370. 404. 30. Love that easy to turn on turn off swivels cool, and you can also use it as a wand to which my hair is a little short to use for wondering yeah I mean I could it would just take a lot of work and I'm all about like Efficiency and being quick with your hair, so the marsala makes everything super quick, it's pretty much like using a wand but having it look to look a little softer yeah. So this is definitely a curling iron. I'M gon na be picking up every single day now or not every single day, but every time I do curl my hair, because I love it. Thank you guys so much for watching today. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I hope, like my little walkthrough, usually I don't really like talk through my curling hair tutorials, just because you're just curling your hair, but I felt like I really needed to say certain things that I learned in the past couple weeks and share them with you guys Because the struggle is real, like practice, makes perfect you're not going to get your hair right on the first time, sometimes you're gon na mess up just like I did almost toriel. Sometimes your hair doesn't cooperate just keep at it. Keep trying, if you guys, have any questions, please write them down in the comments or go ahead and DM me on Instagram. I try to respond to every single one of my DMS. So if you guys do have a question, go ahead and shoot it to me. There that'll probably be your quickest response, but yeah if you are not following me on instagram here, is my little handle and if you're not following on youtube, go ahead and subscribe down below. So, thank you so much for watching make sure to give this video a thumbs up. If you liked it and I'll see you guys later bye, you
