Hey guys, it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel so for today's video, as you can tell by the title, I'm gon na be sharing how I grew out my pixie haircut. So in this video, I'm gon na talk about my hair journey, my hair story and then also share some tips and tricks on how to grow your hair faster. But before we get started, if you are new to my channel hi, my name is Jackie or you can call me jack jack, whichever you prefer make sure you hit that red subscribe button, so you can officially become part of the little flower family and you won't Miss out on any upcoming videos, so my og little flowers already know that back in 2013, I chopped off my hair into a pixie. I had long hair. Actually, I feel, like my hair was about this length when I spontaneously decided to just top it all off into a pixie and honestly, it wasn't even a cute pixie. I used to work as a receptionist in a salon and it wasn't it cool salon. It was like an old lady salon, so all the hairstyles were old and all the clients were old, so they were not trendy at all and I have them cut my hair, so it wasn't a trendy or cute or feminine pixie cut. It was literally a boy haircut, but that's besides the point of this video, so I chopped off my hair, the very first week of January in 2013 and then halfway into the year I decided I wanted to grow my hair out. So my love for the pixie did not last long, but I look back at pictures now. Sometimes I cringe, but sometimes I'm like. Oh it looked cute there. I kind of want to get it again and I do get this question a lot. Will I ever go back to a pixie and honestly, I don't know because I am the most indecisive person in the world. I changed my mind constantly. So who knows maybe next week I'll want to chop off my hair into a pixie again, I don't know so. Overall, it's been about three years since I decided to grow out my pixie, so this is how long it took to get to this length, and obviously you don't even have to do anything in your hair is going to grow. You know what I mean, but the tips I'm gon na share with you guys are things that you can do to help speed up the process to help your hair grow faster and also some tricks to keep in mind while growing out your hair, especially if you're Growing out of pixie, so let's start with my first tip. I know this seems super gross, but I tell people is all that the fastest way to grow your hair is to stop washing your hair, because when you wash your hair, even if it's just with water, that's still stripping your hair and your scalp of the natural Oils in your hair and those oils are what's gon na nourish and hydrate your hair and allow it to grow so long and luscious and fast. So I was getting the fastest results with my hair growing out when I was washing my hair only once a week and I still kind of wash my hair only once a week, but sometimes I'll do like two times a week. That'S like the most I'll ever wash. My hair in a week is two times because I like to go as long as I can without washing my hair. Yes, I still shower. I just wear shower cap and I don't wash my hair every day. My second tip is a tip I'm sharing with you guys, but I do not follow myself and it's not to color your hair and not to use heat products on your hair, because those two factors are going to slow down the growing process of your hair coloring. Your hair and using heat products will damage your hair and damaged hair doesn't grow as fast as healthy hair. Obviously I didn't take my own advice. I have been coloring and dyeing my hair. Ever since I got the pixie and ever since I decided to grow it out, so I have been non-stop coloring, my hair and using heat products. If you guys want to see my hair care routine and how I take care of my hair and what products I use, I will leave it linked below and in the cards for you guys, because trust me, if it wasn't for how I take care of my Hair, I would not have any hair, because I do so much bad things to my hair. I do so much bleach. I do so much heat. I shouldn't have any hair to be honest, but I do and it's all thanks to my hair care routine, so make sure you check that out. If you are interested to see what type of products I use my third tip. I also mentioned this in my hair care routine, but I use a lot of oils on my hair. So when I'm done styling my hair, I will finish off with oil in my hair, so something like an argan oil or even coconut oil, and not only does it make your hair look shiny, but it so just hydrates and nourishes your hair. So I definitely focus more on the ends because that's where, like the least amount of oil is because your roots and your scalp, that's where the oil comes from. So usually your roots are more oily, but the ends are a lot more dry. So I focus the oil products that I use on the ends of my hair. I use oils in my hair every single day and I really feel like it's helped. My hair grow a lot faster over the years. My fourth tip - and this one is an important one. I should have mentioned this first, but have a good hairstylist that will walk you through this journey of growing out a pixie, because, especially if you're growing out of pixie, you are going to experience the ever so awful and dreaded mullet. Yes, I had the mullet until I found an amazing hair stylist and I was with her for a while and until she unfortunately moved away, but she was so awesome. I would see her every few weeks and she would trim my hair just in the back and allow everything on top to grow out, but just keep trimming the back so that I wouldn't have that mullet. Trims are super important, because not only does it help your hair stay healthy and grow faster, it really does help your hair grow faster, but it also helps you avoid the mullet and my last tip to share with you guys is know how to style your hair, While you're growing it out so, as you guys know, I do a ton of hair tutorials here on my channel. So if you want to see my playlist of hair tutorials, they are linked in the cards and in the description box, for you guys check those out because you'll get to see the different type of hair, tutorials and hair styles that I was wearing and that I Was doing while growing out my hair, and I have one video in particular: that's titled, easy hairstyles when growing out your hair or something like that. Those are definitely gon na help you out, because I know growing out your hair it just. It feels like it's a never-ending journey. It'S so long. It'S so unbearable! Sometimes - and it's so awkward at times too so - definitely learn how to do some cute, easy hairstyles that you can do while growing out your hair, because it's going to help you so much and make the whole process less dreadful to go along with styling another tip. If you can afford it is to invest in some good hair extensions, because that's actually what I did once my hair got to that really really awkward lengths. I actually got microbead extensions, which were amazing, and I love them so much and I missed them every day, but they were really pricey and they were really expensive to maintain as well. So definitely do more research, if you're into that, but I definitely love the idea of extensions. A wall growing out your hair because it just makes the process so much easier as well. But again, like I said my biggest tip for growing out your hair is don't wash your hair and use lots of oil and if you want more tips and tricks on how to grow your hair or help heal damaged, dry hair, make sure you check out my Hair care routine and if you have any questions, comments, requests about my hair about growing out your hair styling, your hair, anything like that anything hair related. Let me know in the comments below don't forget to subscribe and I will see you guys next time, but I have a magical day.

Candle Cove: I really am actually desperate to grow my hair. I LITERALLY CRIED ABOUT IT FOR ACTUALLY 5 HOURS STRAIGHT. I hate it so much.

Hala H.: #1 Don’t wash your hair a lot #2 Don’t bleach or use heat on hair #3 Use oil #4 have a good hairstylist tell you about pixi cuts #5 do trims #6 know how to do hairstyles You’ll thank me later

Fit Pre Med: Who's here because they got a bad haircut :(

Lydia Grows: Oh boy. I'm growing out my buzzcut and there's nothing that can prepare me for all the awkward stages to come.. you grew out your pixie beautifully!!!

Luna Lovegood: I feel like people should create hair fertilizers

samantha: i dont even want super long hair i just want shoulder length. edit: it's been 3 years LMAOOOOOO and my hair is past my shoulders :D just be patient <33

Foxx: and here I am...still growing out mine.

maya: that awkward moment when you get short hair and it isn’t working for you so your looking everywhere to fix it while crying your eyes out

Monika R.: I really appreciate you sharing these tips. I cut my hair 2 years ago and donated it to a group of amazing ladies in California that make hair PIECES for cancer patients and survivors. So I do not regret cutting my hair, but I have now made it my mission to grow my hair out so that I can donate my hair again. Your tips are super helpful for this super awkward journey of growing out my hair!! Thank you!!

Ivy Morris: How did you make it look so easy to grow it out?? Man the awkward growing stages that are happening right now are NOT CUTE. I can't even tell if my hair is a long pixie or a short bob

_emmyvalentine: I just got a haircut and I thought I knew what I wanted but it's terrible and I'm just sitting here crying looking up YouTube videos on growing out your hair

TheTeaQueen: Literally in the process of growing out a pixie. I can't wait until it's touching my shoulders and I have length to style!!!

Nicole Elizabeth: Trims don’t technically make your hair grow faster. It just gets rid of the split ends and breakage, so it’ll seem like your hair is growing faster, since you’re no longer losing length due to breakage. It doesn’t actually affect hair growth speeds, unfortunately.

millie mertens: I don’t even know why I cut my hair like I actually liked the length before I just wanted a change but I regret it sooo much I miss long hair

induset: You looked hella cute with the pixie hair cut too ^-^

CH: YES! Omg I'm so happy you uploaded this video!!! I got a pixie this summer in July and I would watch your old pixie vids, to learn how to style and mange it haha! I think it is fun to experience having a new hairdo and now that I have short hair, lots of ppl always assume I'm younger than my actual age lol! But I also missed my long hair! I like wearing caps, and I look like a little boy now when I wear them :p So I'm currently growing out my hair, and this vid is really informative and helpful. I'll try my best to wash my hair less.. sometimes I get lazy and just use dry shampoo anyways hehe. Thanks Jackie <3 Excited to see if you decide to go back to a pixie in the future, cause you rock every style!

Mariel M.: If i had my hair cut that short, i would literally look like a potato

alma: I remember watching your pixie hair videos!! It's amazing how much it has grown!!

Emily Gignac: Thank you, Jackie!! I've been waiting for you to do this video for like 2 years now!! I've been growing out my pixie for about 1.5 years and it JUST hit my shoulders!! what is your favorite dry shampoo to use? do you know of any that are more natural/not as bad for your lungs? I'm trying to get away from damaging aerosol products. Congrats on how long your hair has grown I know the pain of waiting for the dreaded pixie to get back to waist length!!!! <3

HIRI: OMG ! I remember when you had your pixie. And wanted to cut my hair for so long, and thanks to you I did it. I had a pixie too. It's been 3 years ? wow ! I didn't realize ! I didn't have the patience you have, my hair grew, but I cut it like 2 or 3 times ^^ Wow, it's weird to realize I've been following you for more than 3 years now. Both lenght suits you, but I love your hair right now ! You have beautiful hair Jackie ;)

Kimberly Stevens: Loved this video! Thanks for sharing about your pixie cut journey. I got a pixie cut 2 months ago and IMMEDIATELY regretted it!! I miss my long hair every day! So I am interested in what you said about micro bead extensions! Would love to hear more from you about those and if you know how to do them yourself. I was told that extensions might not work for me because I have really short hair, but I am determined to make some work- I miss my long hair so much. Thanks!!!

hara ecca: "I am the most indecisive person in the world." That sentence spoke to my soul

bernadette73501: I'm finally ready to grow my hair out. Thank you for the tips.

Lauren Etchells: I remember your pixie, being an emotional Rollercoaster for you, it's wonderful you've learned to embrace change like you did, and with your hair growing back, it's a great way to reflect on having gone short in the first place.

currycalzone: Here I am, growing mine! Thanks for all the nice tips ♥

Madeline Greene: I've had a pixie (that honestly I still love) for 5 years, but I miss being able to braid it so here I am! The awkward long pixie is happening

Zoe Small: Trims don't help ur hair grow faster but if ur ends are damaged it cuts the dead ends off so it's not constantly staying at the same length because it keeps snapping off.

Marie C: My hair is already long but I'm addicted to growing it longer! Thank you for this video. I do a lot of the tips. I swear A LOT because of my job and I can't stand not washing my hair because it's so sweaty and gross

Sophiesticated: you looked so cute in the pixie cut!

Carolina Giacchi: I love this vídeo so much! This brings me so many memories. The first time I saw one of your videos was when I had my pixie and I wanted to know how to style it. And searching I found one of your vídeos and I just fall in love with them. I've watched every single video since then.

Eterna Integritty: Your hair is beautiful both pixie and long! The tip of having a good hairstylist to walk you through the mullet phase is a great tip!! No matter how many times I have told stylists that I am growing my hair out and just want the mullet gone, I always walk out right where I started...short pixie...because they all cut too much or too high and don't just focus on cutting the MULLLET!

Marielena Dorantes: Thanks for sharing your experience, like two months ago I decided to cut my hair into a pixie and honestly I'm desperate and I miss my long hair, I bought a suplemment called hairburst and also biotin, I hope it works

Lorena Jimenez: I'm just like you, I will cut my hair out of the blue to a super short length. Now I know some tips for when ever I decide to cut my hair into an A-Line again Love you, you're truly a role model

MsRobbieLou: Oh,yes, the mullet. I definitely had one for a moment when I grew out my short hair. Great video!

Jennifer Barger Music: awesome! your pixie videos were how I found you after I got a pixie 3 years ago! sane year as you!!! I hope you find your babies. you are amazing and know that God had his hand on them and I believe they will come home. <3

Amand Lawson: I love your videos! Thank you so much for making this video, I cut my hair after I got inspired by your hair! I love your hair now! Keep making your videos, I love you!

Jam Reyes: I decided to grow my hair out since it was almost prom and I was already in the 'mullet' stage. I got tired and chopped it to a undercut and now I regret not seeing this first =-=

Jennifer Louise: I've had a pixie cut for a few years. I do love it but I'm so ready to grow it out again now

Autumnco: I like Pixie on you! that suits your bubbly, energetic personality.:) You looked innocent too!<3

Odette Maleny Garcia Garcia: ackie thanks for the video since Ive been trying to let my hair grow cause on January of 2016 I cut it into a pixie... #snapchatflowerfam

Anisha Abdul: I love working in hair salons. It is so cool.I myself had a short drastic hair cut and need to grow back my hair.I believe as a hair dresser you would like to try new hair cuts.

Katie Marigold: I want to go blonde. You hair is SO gorgeous! I swear I even see green in there! Could be a tint from light reflections, but either way, it just adds an element to it. Merry Holiday and Seasons Squeakings! HOHOHO!

Colleen: I started watching you when you first did this!! and I am so happy i found you and your channel!

Jolisa Zwart: I just cut my hair reallly short, and i am a hairdresser student, sooo watching this video helps me, but also wants me to tell you that colouring your hair only damages the hair thats outside your scalp. Inside the hair genes and hairsockets arent changed or damaged. Its just on the outide. Hair still grows just as fast as usually, u just only see a colour difference witch aint looking always nice hahab

Amanda Spearing: I love this video. I'm regretting cutting my pixie now and miss my long hair! Someday i'll meet it again LOL :( I subbed! xo

Brooklynn Dennington: I follow your hair care! It has helped me so much! My hair is so healthy!!

yasmin s: The pixie cut looked so cute!! Though it looks super nice and the colour is gorgeous now. You suit both styles lol <3

Shacone Johnson: My favorite look on you is the chin length bob, and the dark. You look so great with the dark, absolutely stunning!

Sonia Lilly: I just recently cut all my hair up due to bleaching it I had beautiful long black hair & Distroyed it!! Now it's just above my shoulders but my lovely black hair is really starting grow back. Never again will I dye my hair. Thank you for the advice I will follow your tips! Your hair is beautiful xxx

Bee: Aww I remember the pixie! I found your videos because I wanted a pixie. A week after I found your videos, I cut my hair I also wanted to grow it out soon after I cut it so we've been on this journey together!

Dream Waters: You were pulling off the short hair amazingly though! It looked amazing on you

spyindisguise: I always wondered how you grew your hair so fast! my hair grows super slow! I will definitely try out your tips! PS, you can pull off any look!! Jealous :)

Kathryn Lowe: Your video is awesome... thank you !... I really needed this advise, trying to grow it back to waste but not sure ✌

Honey Goblin: I love my pixie cut so much! But I think a big reason is because of how healthy it is.

Adrianna Wonnacott: My hair was past my collar bones in a year after having a shaved pixie. I dyed and bleached it a lot too.. I had to chop it off again because due to the bleach it made my hair stop growing from the split ends. Hope it grows as fast as it did WITHOUT the bleach (:

Random One: Rice water has different results for everyone but i used iut on my hair and after just ONE TIME it looked fluffier, longer, felt softer, and curlier. Its so cool. It literally grew like half an inch! (could be because im protein deprived tho)

VampireGirl16: I am trying to grow mine out. I have ponytail envy so bad! I miss my hair! I love you Jackie!!!!

Collin S: My hair was 14 inches, but then I wanted to cut it into a pixie cut, for a while I really liked it, but now I'm kinda wishing I didn't cut it so short, so this was really helpful, and I'm glad I was able to find something like this.

pixieluxx: damaged hair does grow as fast. you just cant tell because the hair is breaking off

Tita's Life: I started watching when you were trying to grow it out looking for hairstyles for short hair and been watching ever since ❤

Laura Styles: Finally!!!! somebody who has had the same problem i'm having! Thanks so much for this video!

Mx. Gothy: Holy crap that took 3 years? My hair grows an inch a month, so it's been a pain to manage a pixie cut. I saw my hairdresser and she was like "holy shit your hair does grow fast" I laughed and told her I went somewhere else when they were closed and they actually cut it too short. She saw the picture and her jaw dropped. My hair will probably be to my shoulders in less than a year. I plan to get a side shave because it will be the best of both worlds.

Zys: I'm so indecisive as well! if you look at my videos, my hair literally is a boy cut too! And you have to get it cut so much! I'm going to try and grow it out into a bob, though! Wish me luck

明月: I WAS GROWING MY HAIR OUT FOR 7 MONTHS THEN I CUT IT AGAIN AND I HATE MYSELF I WANNA GROW IT OUT SO BAD

LilaMarie Duran: Amazing that you have extra videos for styling while it's growing out. I will definitely check them out. No wonder you have a ton of likes for this video ☺

✿☬kuau_ queen☬✿: Thanks for the tips I really appreciate them!

STALEDA: Just shave your head if you get a bad pixie cut!! Best experience I ever had. Even if you don’t end up liking it, it’s liberating to wake up and not have to worry about your hair. Plus it will grow completely healthy and you can see the way your hair grows throughout all of the stages. I’ve been growing out my hair for six months and I can’t wait to keep on going

laurenlunchbox: You grew yours out so gracefully!

l o s t a c c o u n t: Hi jaaack jack! Its been awhile since I've seen your video's! I hope that my hair soon gets better.

life forever changed: Loved this video! Thanks for the tips

John3:16 Blm#iLoveAllRaces: i completely agree with you on the no hair washing method......i learned this by accident lol - i had the miley cut 2x and the last time i fried my hair coloring it - used coconut oil in it then washin 1x week for weeks and my hair GREWWWWW =] now i always use this method lol. THANKS JACK JACK

lara burns: I got my hair cut like this yesterday and I love it

BeautyByChels: Great tips, I've been trying to grow out my hair since I cut it in May and my hair grows so slow lol

Julie Kozlowski: cut my hair in a pixie three years ago and have been growing out ever since. Its finally to the middle of my back. What helped me grow it out and save my hair was using extensions. I wear tape in's and it really helped me grow it out. I wish my hair was thick so I still wear tape in's.

Rachel E.: My hair is super curly right now but it's straightening over time (super cool) so I'm waiting for it to straighten completely because that's where it's going and then I'll grow it out

ItsBayleeHowl: I have naturally oily hair like no matter what trick I found it still look like I struck oil...and also I tried but honestly all I did was stop blow drying my hair everyday let it air dry everyday and now my hair laying off my shoulders now (: my cousin who is a professional hairstylist was impressed with how my hair grew healthy and no mullet phase :D

RosieWeasley: Wow, we cut our pixies about the same time but I still have mine about 6 years later. I’m going to try to grow it out now just to see what it looks like. I didn’t really like my hair long, but I didn’t try medium or short before going to a boy haircut. I do like it, but I’m curious and not satisfied with my stylist right now.

2meChann: Cut my hair into a pixi cut excited because it’s the first time I do what I want with myself at age 15. And I got made fun of by my whole family. Called me unnecessary names, even after I told them I don’t like it, so now I’m trying to grow out ASAP!!

SarineLewis: I just got a pixie cut! I already plan on growing it out lol. It was broken off all over. Thanks for the tips!

Rachel Widman: Your gorgeous! And I love your hairstyle and color right now <3 Love your pillows too!

Lila Dearaujo: this was a great video! .. I stimulate my hair on a nightly basis with brushing it and also hot oil treatments massaging it into the scalp and that helps it grow also. I've also been wearing wigs and stuff which is fun to switch up my style without having to wash it and damaged it with heat and color excetera I have several different colors and they are super fun and easy to wear i just make sure I get a lace front wig LOL

Adrian Cook: Omg this video was so helpful I'm trying to grow my pixie cut atm love you

Life With Us: I LOVE long hair, but I was so lazy about mine.. I finally chopped it all off and I don't think I'll ever go back

the*Faith*ful: Oh my gosh! You look stunning with or without a pixie cut. You can pull it off either way. ;)

Irina Shevchuk: soo helpful. I really want long healthy hair thank you for the tips.

xE x: I'm in the process of growing out my hair. And I have it in an angled long bob! And boy is it at an awkward stage. Because for work I have too have it up. But it looks a hot mess cuz of all the hair in the back being too short lol. Love your vids Jackie

My Holistic Habitat: Love the cut and color of your hair in this video!

Julie juwells: I just have to say - you look amazing - and your hair does too - especially the way it does now!!!!

Abbie Lou: You look really cute with every hairstyle you showed!

fawnica: my hair grows extremely slow, like sloth, so i really hope this helps because i shaved half my head and cut the other side to my jaw bone. So then i got it cut again once the shaved part grew to my jaw so my hair was even but the stylist cut it like a boy scout or something. That was back in September and it hasnt changed. So thank youu

Erin Heston: i want to grow my hair from a pixie to a bob really fast

manisha: I grew pixie to Bob in just 6 months ..Genes are helping me really good

Yey Dela Torre: I actually love my pixie hair cut but people around me make me feel like I made the wrong decision for cutting my hair .. But I love still I'm gonna grow this one out fast

Autumn: I've been growing my pixie for a year now! I'm at a workable cute short cut. Not a bob, a little longer than a bob. Just short and I'm loving it. I've missed the high buns

Kaelii Lopez: You rock the pixie look girl!!

Buffy Cary: I actually already use all the these tips besides getting it trimmed. (I'm really bad about that one.) My hair has grown super fast in the past few months because of these tips and one more. I use a weekly, moisturizing mask of jojoba oil and aloe gel. I mix the two products together, slather it on my hair, and then put on a shower cap. I leave it on usually about an hour and just wash it out using my normal routine. I will also mix up a face mask and do that while my hair is being conditioned so it's a bonus deep cleanse. I am also SUPER picky about my hair care products. I use nature based products and ones that help remove the residue from my scalp as I suffer from psoriasis of the scalp. My favorites are from the companies Honeydew, One N Only Argan Oil, and Mineral Fusion. ☺

Vada Voo: I'm not even big on these types of videos but your personality is so bubbly, cute and relate-able. You've got a new viewer.

ten ten: hey Jackie I couldn't stop looking at your teeth through the video they just look so perfect, how's your smilecare club journey going can you please make a video about it? love you

Sorbys: All of those phases and styles you made looked so cute

Tai Reverie: i shaved my whole hair (yes! it was literally less than an inch!) in the last week of september, and in june this year, my hair (the bangs) was down to my nose, and i think it grew so fast because i used coconut oil a lot. i did shave my sides so i had an undercut, and just last month i cut my hair and now it's above my eyebrows and now i regret it because i want long hair! aha
