Hey guys welcome to another video here on my channel today we are going to go through another hair, styling video, and this is going to be one of those typical reference videos because, basically, on a daily basis, I get asked how I style my hair and not Too long ago, I made a video on how I style my hair, but that was front word-for-word and through the side with swoopy bangs like this kind of look. But I do get a lot of questions, how I style my hair backwards as well, and that is what we're going to go through today. This styling routine is super simple. I never do anything advanced with my hair. I don't enjoy doing my hair and if it turns out good one day, then yay that's awesome. If it doesn't turn out that great then too bad, but I don't really spend a lot of time worrying about it. So this is going to be a really quick and simple video. Just so I can show the people who ask whatever they ask: how do you style your hair? I will link you to this video, so hello, if you're watching this, because you asked me how I style my hair. I hope you enjoy this little tutorial. The first thing you're going to want to do - or at least the first thing I do before I style my hair - is that I wash my hair. I don't use any shampoo or conditioner that is specific to the hair style or to help with the styling at all. I use a shampoo and conditioner bar from lush right now, hey I like it, it's good for my scalp. It helps with like dryness and my scalp sensitivity, so yeah, but it's irrelevant to the hairstyle so use whatever shampoo and conditioner you like to use after I get out of the shower, I kind of like dry, my hair with a towel, and then I spray the Lush sea spray, sea spray, yeah, it's a salt spray from lush called sea spray, vegan cruelty free - and I spray it all over my hair and kind of rub it in, and this helps give a little bit of texture and it helps to hold of the volume That I get through low drying, so the next step in the process is to blow-dry your hair, and sometimes I used my round brush to kind of like dry it in a backward shape. So I used a brush to roll my hair backwards. While I am blow-drying it, but I also try when I decide to style my hair backwards like this, I want to get as much volume as possible into the hair, and that happens when you blow dry. It'S pretty much so I flip my hair upside down and blow dry it upside down. But I try to not blow the sides too much when I'm upside down, because I want them to lay flat and I want the top to be poofy. So if even when I side down, I try to blow dry the sides backwards and the top kind of volume volume as', and once I have blow-dried it, it looks like this, so I actually don't have any other products in my hair right now than the sea Spray and I do use other products, and I have them here with me, so I thought I would show you guys here instead of at home in our ugly bathroom. The first thing we're going to do is use my little beloved, OSIS dust. It dust. I don't know if I am actually running out, feels and sounds I've written bit empty, but hopefully there's some lift for this video. Otherwise this is a terrible, terrible video and what I do with this. As I told you in the last video I made, there are there's like a cross of holes where the product comes out and I always cover two of those sides. So I only have half as much product coming out because I feel like that's easier to control. Actually I'll try to use my, I have a mirror here. Next to me, this is never easy to do so. I just like separate my hair and pour some product over. I probably have this all over my shirt, yep tip. If you wear black clothing, then do this before putting on your shirt, and this basically creates a really. In my opinion, a nice texture got canvas the oldest. I think it creates a great texture in my hair that allows me to like. I don't know it keeps it in place in a way that you might not expect a like volume powder to do, but I think it gives it a good, a good texture and whenever you might see pictures of me with my hair, like super messy for a Picture and it's just like well, I'm so crazy. My hair is so fluffy look. This is the product that helps it stay like that. While I takes the picture, but it doesn't stay like that forever. So, just because I have crazy, like woohoo, hair and pictures, I don't walk around like that in real life. As for the sides and the back, I did trim my like my mullet that's too long ago, but it's still pretty long and unless I do something to it, it does kind of stick out behind my neck and I'm not a huge fan of that. And I don't really know how to how to solve that problem. Of course, I can just drag it back and hope for the best, but I did also bring a little bit of wax. This is the wax I used when I had super short hair and it's a decent wax. It'S nothing special whatsoever, but I thought I would try to take just a little little bit of this to kind of tame the sides and the back. No, I don't. This is the first time I trying it, so I don't know if it's going to work, but I can of course put more effort into blow-drying the sides and the back like really smooth it down and really blow dry, it's close to my head, but I would Probably only put in that kind of effort, if I am like going to a party or something but for everyday life. No, I didn't really do much, but this is just the kind of hair I'm going to have to live with while it grows out. I mean the sites are going to be a little bit poofy and the top is going to be a little bit like, don't really know what to do with it. But this is pretty much the only thing I do to style my hair backwards and yeah. It'S not more complicated than that, and what's important to note is that I have my kind of hair. I have really thick hair. I have a lot of hair and that's why this routine works for me. So if you have a completely different hair texture, maybe this this won't work for you you're, going to have to use a lot more product or style it in a different way. To achieve the same result, and if I sleep on my hair and the next day, I want the similar look. I just use dry shampoo with a little extra volume and it looks good as new. I would say I hope you guys have enjoyed this video and I hope it answered your question. If you have ever asked yourself, how does she style her hair? Well now, you know don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already, if you want more videos like this or videos on any of the other topics that I talk about on my channel and give this video a like, if you did enjoy it until the next video Have a super-duper good one and I'll see you guys later.

Katrin Berndt: ♥ Hey guys! If you wanna watch the other video I made where I style my hair forward with swoopy bangs, you can do that here: https://youtu.be/PgGnP_UD1Vo
Teresa Moritz: Ahhh, perks of having straight hair... I have to get my pixie recut every 1-2 months, because once it gets longer, it starts to wave and curl in unflattering ways But yours looks super cool!!
wikimews: As someone who's constantly trying to tame their wavy/curly hair with a short haircut, THANK YOU! I came here for the tattoo design video but got hooked 'cause of this.
Mega 3000: Katrin ROCKS the pixie cut ❤️

Mary T: Okay, you're adorable and so helpful! I have a new pixie and I'm growing out my crown, so giving me inspiration and helping me to understand how to work my hair is great
Mossycryptid: This is so helpful! Im growing my hair out as well, and our hair is nearly the same length!
Sofia: I got pixie haircut a couple of months ago but with the quarantine, this the only thing I can do at the moment without ruining my hair by cutting it myself or using a headband thank you for sharing
Moonii Chan: Your Pixie Cut looks so great on you❤️
alison mace: i got a pixie cut yesterday and this was so, so helpful!! i’m still a little unsure on it as i’ve no idea what to do with it!!
Yogaand Doritos: I've been growing mine out too... It's a journey! Lol I put on a headband a lot of the time... It's my version of a ponytail
stacy Mclauchlan: This is literally the only style I do at the moment, my hair is the same length as yours
Dilly Dally: I'm growing mine out for the 6th time in 4 years If I may add a suggestion for the blow out part , take your 'fringe shape' lightly tie a bobble round it's middle part , so it looks like a little lop sided water fountain , and leave it for a while to dry on its own , that's how you get BIG poufy , dont tie the bobble tight , it will leave a band line , but just enough to give the roots volume , I move my bobble up every so often , depending on how poufy I want my front section (see photo) . Hope that helps ❤
Julie Mitchell: I think the wax for sides & back works pretty well. Emphasizes volume thru crown & top.
Maelys Boo: Your content has really evolved over the years it's really diverse and interesting every time ! It's always a pleasure to watch your videos and also read your newsletter You are gorgeous as always and your hairstyle suits you perfectly ❤
Andy V: Wow that hair cut, the way you style your hair, it’s perfection

Carol Holtsclaw: Love this style! Stunning on you. Would love my hair to do that before t I’ve got to much wave.

Greasy Hamster: Me: super long hair no intention of cutting them Why am i watching it? Cause Katrin is gorgeous and her voice is just so nice
C C: Ooh I absolutely love your hair!!! I had a buzzcut two years ago and i’ve had it that length but you pull it off well, i looked like a boy glad it’s past my shoulders now
Jasmine Bell: Have you ever seen the osis dust used in dark hair? Most powder products I put in my hair make it look ashy where I've applied it and doesn't blend in well. The product looks amazing and I would love to try it. Or if you have any tips on how to make sure it doesn't leave the ashy appearance.
Tom Dean: I wish mine would go like that, I love that style
Jaymi Clymens: I have spent literal hours/years on youtube TRYING to find a reference point for my long time short hair and that awkward (long) phase between cuts, I have no idea why I haven't found your channel until just now at 3 am. -.- Damn algorithms. You are a friggin' savior.
Dendrobates auratus: Which false eyelashes are you wearing in this video? They're STUNNING!

NimbusDX: Hi Katrin! A little off topic, but are you make an update video regarding your psychological evaluation? I am curious about the outcome and what your final thoughts on the process were. Hair looks great by the way!
Hekate: you look so STUNNING with bob and with pixie
Michelle Smith: Really cool look, reminds me of Brigitte Nielsen back in the day....I have very thick hair, but with fine texture; I cut my long hair into a bob, but I'm looking to go shorter...may take your vid to my stylist to see if I can get this look...thanks for the inspiration!
Elizabeth P: My hair is the same length as yours, covers almost the entirety of my ears. I recently made a huge mistake of cutting my long bangs into short blunt ones straight across my forehead. Without styling them back to the side, I look like I got a helmet head jdvrjf
Nathalie Gustavsson: Så bra tips med saltvattenspray! Ska testa det
Hugginsince79: We had the same hairstyle took me a year to get it back but now I miss it ❤️
Ashlyn White: I can’t tame my hair haha, it constantly falls in front of my face and it’s really thick so It usually doesn’t stay back no matter how much product I put in it. I’m growing it out and it’s kind like a bowl cut rn (not flattering) and I have no clue how to style it. It’s not long enough for a little bun on top but not short enough to just blow dry to the side. Haha if anyone has some advice I’ll gladly take it.
Ana: You: Vegan and cruelty free Me: I LIKE THAT
Empowering Beauty: your hair looks great
Ladynipchick2: I'm going through the same thing! Don't forget chunky hair bands!
Heather Frazier: Where do you plan take your hairstyle? I've grown my pixy into a short mullet, but I'm not sure where I should go from here. I'm *not* a bob girl. I like edgy, messy styles.
1237: I wish I knew how to not feel bored with my hair. It's a dark-ish brown color. I can't afford to get it bleached or anything and black wouldn't suit me. I have always had a long hair until recently when I chopped it to shoulder lenght. I think I will cut it even shorter
HanzBurns: This is the video I’ve been searching for for 3 years!!! (That pink hair in my pic has been long long gone)
Tara: I want this exact, exact hair cut actually.... what you have in this video! and I wanna try to cut it myself. Oh boy....
Nemam Ime: I got a pixie cut a few days ago and I absolutely hate it lol. I have really thick hair so it basically just sticks up all the time no matter what I do to it :( it also makes me look 30 years older... I have no idea what to do with it at this point and I just cry in my room all day
RAVEN Moon Tarot: This is where im at.im trying to grow it out yes thank you for the video
ZIYA CHAUDHARY: I just got a pixie cut and I'm struggling
Moon Joe: Osis+ Dust It is sometimes called Best+ Dust It in some countries. I'm about to buy one today!!!
T.A.C.O_ M.O.O.D: You're so pretty also what colors would you like to dye your hair in?
Ramya Rathakrishnan: I can’t get my hair on top to stay back :( it falls to the sides and I look like an eboy. Does anyone have any tips?
Melanie Sue: Okay so question! I’m growing out my hair as well but my sides are shorter then my top, how do you go about growing it out since I see your hair is long on top and short on the sides.
Soaring Kite: What wax or pomade would you recommend?
Laura Brockway: I use bobby pins on my mullet if that helps at all, I just twist the hair as much as I can and pin it. I hate the mullet too!

Heather H.: Do you trim your mullet? I have one too. Lol, trying to grow my pixie cut too
Anne Becker: The volume powder makes my hair feel really bad
Neno Law: My hair is black , it’s the same texture as yours but wouldn’t the dust leave a um a dusty look on my hair ..? Since it’s black it would be obvious for it to show ?
Alesha Rea: I bought that powder it's really good but I couldn't see it coming out so u kept pouring it on and holy crap..... waaaay to stiff
