Hey it's Christina and that's me before I got my hair cut. We went to Jackson or we salon here in Austin and I look a little crazy with my hair brushed out, but I got my hair cut by Allen, Ruiz who was super attentive. He talked me through my curl pattern, which is really important for me, since I'd never had short hair before. I really think that was the most important step in the whole process was right at the beginning, communicating clearly with Allen about what I was looking for and showing plenty of visuals. What about Pinterest was really useful for this. If you want to see my Pinterest board for this haircut I'll leave a link below my heart's pounding out of my chest fun. I'M excited we'll just set that right here. For now that was really the wildest part of the whole experience was cutting the ponytail off. If you've ever had this done to you before it's an adrenaline rush for sure Alan talked me through the whole process, as you went, which was really nice, because sometimes you get a haircut and you don't know what it looks like until they spin you around at The end makes a nice soft graduation into this, but yeah. It'S really sure. I think it's really short like that. Super short sighs Lee this front bed a little bit longer as we dry it. We can take a look at see. You know we don't want it. We just go: let's go totally disconnected okay, but I kind of think it's kind of nice to see a little something there. That'S that kind of blends in to what's going on. Yeah is what's crazy. I can't see it. No, I don't know what so I've cut it all off. I love it. Luckily, it was gamble. I didn't know what my heads would look like. I didn't know what I didn't know how my hair would behave once I took all the weight off of it, but I'm really liking it. I can't wait to go home and style it myself and wash it. That'S really the best part of getting a haircut. So I'd love to know in the comments have you ever had a short haircut before? Do you have any advice for me because I need it? My haircut was more out of necessity because I had a terrible ombre experience and then travelled overseas and the water there destroyed my hair so when I came home I cut it off. It's amazing really. musicfreak3115: I have my hair short, and I absolutely LOVE it. Just keep up to date with trims, but if you want to eventually want to grow it out, just make sure your stylist knows that so he doesn't take off as much length, more or less just the split ends. Hair accessories are a MUST HAVE. They are super cute and help a lot on "bad hair days", And be prepared to have a few bad hair days, it's not easy being fabulous.

keslc: Love the short cut on you! I go back and forth from growing out my hair pretty long to chopping it into a pixie. I currently have a pixie. My hair is very fine and straight, so no advice about wavy hair, but just have fun with it and don't be afraid to try anything.

TheLastCurlbender: Looks fantastic! When I got my hair cut I only had about 1-2 inches of length all around. Some advice would be to make sure to use a lot less styling product than you think you need! XD Nothing like having greasy hair that never dries.Also make sure that you manipulate the part or top of your hair otherwise it might become too much of a party on top ;) Again looks amazing and enjoy it!!

TheFattuchus: I admire your courage. I once did the exact same thing you did when I was a little girl. I had long hair almost my whole life and had it cut into a pixie. It was a disaster for me. I thought I would end up with a straight pixie which was very fashionable back then; instead I got a head full of short, fuzzy curls which was not in fashion. Other kids laughed at me.

Mariana Ramírez: OMG! you look gorgeous! love it! my hair is curly and I went pixie recentlly too! :D also, truth is, sometimes I don't have the time to style it and the result is a very messy looking hair :( , so after I take a shower and my hair is dry, I apply styling cream (sometimes nothing haha) and I style my hair the way I like it and then wear a beanie (that must be a little thight) for about 15 min, and then take the beanie off and voila! pixie hair all styled-up, no heat needed! (i hope it was clear, my english isn't very good :c )

They agreed but said that I should get something a little longer than a pixie cut just so I can get used to it being short, so of course I said yeah and then we went to get it cut. They actually did not let me choose the cut at all and they just got it cut like it usually was, inches past my shoulders and then they got angry at me for not being happy with it.

The hair speaks for itself, it's an edgy hairstyle, very stylish, and chic at the same time. Put on a sexy pair of heels and you'll be turning everybody's heads wherever you go. I recommend you to use styling mouse to give your bang. or whatever is left of your hair for that matter, a bit of volume and wave.

Jennifer Blackledge: I've had short hair for a very long time (my hair is also pin straight when it was long but it is very thick). Hair gel is your best friend to keeping my little bits of fringe from falling down and to give my hair volume. Get it cut regularly nothing looks worse than a pixie cut when it starts growing out (rat tail is the worst).

Linny Brizuela: I got my hair cut into a pixie a couple months ago and recently shaved the back and one short side so that I have more grow out time that way the other side can get longer. I use Tresemme Thermal Creation Heat Tamer Spray on damp towel dry hair, then go in with a round brush (size is to your own liking) then blow dry style for volume, shine and less frizz. I usually rock the hair for 2 or so days and if dry shampoo is needed then I use. I love having short hair and you look amazing with shorter

My favorite product right now bc I barely have to do anything but still needs moisture/to be conditioned somehow- is....drumroll...Badger company actually makes this tin labeled "man care" and it's a hair pomade. I disagree it offers hold- but it smells DIVINE has cardamom in it which I love- and it does define my curls and make them soft & shiny. I have thick dry hair so I use a lot but if yours is oily or fine, id just use less. Yup. I also love Argan oil for my hair but haven't in a while- I'll use any oil around, coconut, olive...and I've stopped using SLS shampoos, I'll actually use regular Dr. Brommers soap or I prefer non drying low suds Black Soap. I'm into that No-poo method. But I'll condition or oil treat ✌️

Megan Anderson: I shaved my hair 2 years ago from the length that yours was. I too have natural wave to my hair and it's great for having short hair. Mine is now in a pixie and all I have to do most mornings is blow-dry rub some paste into the ends and blow-dry again, I literally let the blow dryer do all the work lol, because I have a natural curl I don't have to do anything else lol. If you want volume use a round brush while drying. I love short hair, it's fast easy and cool in the summer
Nicole Doyle: In may of 2013 I had the craziest idea of getting a pixie cut! I was about to graduate high school (like 3 day til the big day)! So went to the mall, got a pixie cut just like yours, little shorter in the front. Freaked people out because it was so not my style but i rocked it! By July it was starting to get longer and I decided to trim it, long story short I messed up and shaved all my hair off!! LOL I looked good with short hair, so I managed the shaved style too. Well I let it grow out (I can cut my own hair.) I made sure to trim it to where I didn't look like I had a mushroom thing going on.. Now, my hair is like 6 inches long and I miss my long hair, so I'm growing it back out! I warn you now, there are awkward stages!! I do have kinda wavy hair and its thick, but if its style-able then you have not worries! Congrats on the new do!

Jordan Polino: Your hair is super cute! I have wavy hair, but only wavy not curly & I have long hair, but I have worn it in a very short BOB cut very close to what you have now. I blow my hair out with Str8 by Rusk & afterwards spray it with Rusk Shining Spray & then I use a flat iron for the finishing touch! My hair is very dark/Black & very shiny. NOTE: Wen products are great for cleaning & moisturizing the hair. As your hair is very short so most of the waves are cut out. However, you can easily blow the longer parts out & run a flat iron over the longer bang area for a finish/polish to the hair. Good Luck with your hair super cute.
