Hey y'all: what's up it's Alicia we'll come back to my channel, so what this video is going to be all about my hair, as you guys have seen from like the past couple of videos, my hair is a lot different than it had been, and I just Wanted to do a sit-down video to give you guys kind of just some, like beets Hills, I'm like! What'S going on with my hair, what I did, if I'm still relaxed, am I so natural where I don't want to get my hair done all those different things because y'all have been blowing my DMS up rightfully so hope y'all have been blowing me up just to Figure out like what did i do like what's different, so today's video is all about that. The first question I know you guys have is: am I still natural in the answer to that question is partially okay, so I have a partial, relaxer, partial, partially still natural hair in and it was a shock. I know it's a shock because I have been rocking. My natural hair, for like years I went natural back in 2014, so like over five years, I have been natural uhm, but the reason why well, one reason why I went back to partial relaxer is because I knew I wanted my hair to lay a certain way And with my natural hair and like this style that I wanted and I workout like every single day, it was just not, it was not gon na work like I knew it was not gon na work, because my hair is thick and it's super curly and it Just it gone, it wasn't gon na work, and so I knew I wanted to go back to relaxer whenever I honestly decided to cut my hair back in December, but I was like a little bit still scared to do it. I knew it because, whenever I was looking for like inspiration for my short hair before I even went short short, I kept coming across. Pictures were like the styles were either texture that used the texturizer or was like a relaxed hair style, and I would I was falling in love with those hairstyles you all like. I knew I wanted a pixie cut like there is no question. I know wanted a pixie cut, but a part of me was like a little bit still scared. I was like no, I want to stay natural like I've been doing this for so long. I don't want to let my you know subscribers down. I don't want to. Let my followers on my Instagram all that stuff, but in the back of my head like I knew I knew I just wanted to just go. Get a relaxer like get. My hair, like straighter, lay down a certain way, but I was just scared. So I said you know what I am going to cut my hair off, like I did Becca Neeson, but I cut my hair off go short and just see how I feel after that. So I cut my hair short back in December and I still had my hair completely natural, but after a couple of months, although I loved my hair being short, I thought it wasn't giving me the look that I knew for a fact that I wanted like. I knew it wasn't like doing enough for me. I knew I wanted a pixie cut like that was like literally sticking with me every single day for like a month and yeah like one day in March. I said you know what I'm gon na just do it. I'M gon na get a relaxer, I'm gon na just stuff it up like I really carry anybody has to say about it. I know what I want for myself. I know what style I want. I know how a my hair delay and I have to do what works best for me, so I booked an appointment with my girl, uh Nastasia. She is here in Houston area, specifically in like the Pure Land Texas area. Her studio is called studio 18. She is so bummed. She actually cut my hair back in December as well, so I was like very familiar with her and we like we initially whales, so I kind of just walked her through what I wanted. I showed her some inspo pics and we just we went for it like there is no looking back. I knew what I wanted and I'm kind of at the point not on my life, to be honest with y'all we're like I don't really care about. My hair is much me more and I'm sure God have realized, because in the past, like year year-and-a-half, I haven't wear my curls that much like I haven't warmer girls that much I have tried so many different hairstyles. I think I wore like different wigs like all throughout last year, and I'm just like I'm not tied to my hair anymore, like for like a good four years, or so I was so tied to it had to be so long. It had to be curly. It had to be big and all this kind of stuff, but I thought now I'm just like whatever like it's just hair it'll grow back, especially I like this length like my hair. My hair grows back really fast. So if I wanted to at some point to go back natural wouldn't be much of a thought to do it, but I'm just at that point y'all were like I just don't care like I'm gon na try what I want to try and not worry about what Anybody has to say - and that's like I'm just so much happier and like I don't know so much more carefree without being attached to of my hair, because I was attached for so long, so um yeah, I went on estas, see Ali put information down below, but I went to her, I talked to her. We like we figured it out. She permed. She pretty much gave me a relaxer like around this, the size of my hair, the back of my hair and like the very front like my edges, so that part is relaxed. So I regret it not one bit and my happy. I did very much so I got my hair like it's about two weeks ago now and let me tell y'all, I I've been like it's like the best thing or if I could best thing ever, I work out so much that I I have barely barely had To style my hair, no joke. In the past two weeks, I have not washed my hair, which I totally should but Quarantine life. I'Ve been super lazy, but I have not washed my hair, yet I've styled my hair as far as like putting a cup of curls and my hair once in the past two weeks and I sweat whenever I worked out, you also like my hair, literally looks exactly How it did whenever I got my hair freshly done and I'm this is just this. This is like, but this is that, like than I already have to do, Valerie's peor Yano Valerie has like thick curly hair in its long so like doing her whole are today out of somebody doing my hair. So I could this works really well. For me, I love this style and I love that I can kind of style at different ways. Today I went with more of like a just like slick. You know flat look, but I can also do like the bangs kind of like we know it's more volume. Can I sticking up a little bit more? I could push my bangs more in like the front of my forehead. I can sell it a few different ways which I also do love, because it gives me a different look depending on what I want that day. So I love that, like I said, the maintenance is SuperDuper low, styling it. I do plan to wash it probably tomorrow, but from what I can tell and the videos that I've watched and just seeing my stylist do my hair. It seems so easy, especially with like short hair, it seems so much easier than like my curly hair, not saying I didn't love my curls, because I loved loved loved my curls. So I was just at a point where I wanted something different. I wanted something new and I knew like for months. I'Ve known I wanted, but this was so scarce to do it and then I finally pulled the plug and I feel like I finally got what I wanted like. I finally thought I feel like like myself. I got like myself and it's just it's so easy, so yeah partially relaxed my edges are relaxed, my sides are relaxed and the back of my hair is relaxed. This top portion, though, appear, is natural, so that part's so natural, mainly because I think whatever you have natural hair you're able to have more volume. So I definitely wanted more volume up here up top, because that helps so you know the Harris it. The perfect away and life fall the perfect way. So I definitely wanted to keep that part natural, but the sides in the back. I knew I wanted for it to be flat and, like a lay, you know life as Phi as possible. So all that's relaxed and that's pretty much it that's pretty much. So here is like the side of my hair and I honestly kind of stopped. My baby here is like a little bit different each day. Sorry now it's just like super slip back there's, nothing least. Fancy going on here is like the front of my hair. So like up here, it is layered a bit so whenever I want to play around with it and kind of like jazz it up a little bit more, I will kind of like a wisp it around and like make it all funky. But today it's just you know laying flat, but it is layered in this area right here. This is the side of my hair, so like this right here is a little bit shorter. It'S like a more like an undercut where it's like the top is, of course longer and fuller, because that also gives the illusion that it's like really flat having like this side, shorter and then like the top, fuller and longer. So I just I love how it falls. I love how it falls on the side and then here is the back of my hair. Hopefully it's focusing, but I love how like right here. It is also longer and fuller and of course it's layered, so that part is will be pretty in and of course, it's a little bit shorter down here, so it just lays flatter down towards like the nape, so yeah all around. I love love, love. This pixie cut, I do a plan, so I grow it out just a little bit. I know exactly how well I think I know exactly how I want like the final products to look, but because my hair was cut curly when I cut it back in December. It was like a little bit choppy whenever we did straighten it. So in order for me to get the look that I want, ultimately, I had to go shorter. This go around to get everything even and I'm gon na grow it out just a little bit more to make the top a little bit longer and a little bit fuller kind of like like a mini mushroom. Look it's hard to explain, but y'all will see it as it grows out, but this is like step one and I'll grow it out. Just just a little bit just a little bit next couple of months. You guys will see how it you know grows over time. I love it. I love it so much like the maintenance has honestly been my favorite part of this entire hairstyle. I look like i legit. Don'T do anything to it. I put like a little rap on my head at night. I wear a bonnet or like i'll sleep on my i'm satin pillowcase and then the morning I'll just take my wrap off finger comb. My hair, like at the top figure out how long for is to lay lay my baby hair. So if I want to, but that's honestly all I do, I don't curl my hair everyday like at all. I think I would, if I didn't, have a relaxer. I would have to figure out how to get my hairs to lay flat every single day, and that would be a headache but because my hair is partially relaxed, like oh the size and the back of my hair are always they're, always laying flat so that cuts Out like ten minutes of styling time right there and honestly, I just feel different. I feel like I finally got something new like not just partially new but like a new new kind of look, and I love it. I just I don't know, like your girls feeling good like your girl is feeling like. I don't know, I'm coming it's like a different phase in my life. It'S a new decade, it's time for change, at least for me. I feel like it's finally time for some change, and this was like a major step in that direction. I have no regrets going back to a partial relaxer, like I said, I'm just at this point in my life, where I just like it's just hair like I feel like I'm not attached to my hair anymore. I honestly don't care, I don't care what anybody has to say about it like I just I just don't care like, so I honestly didn't really want to make a big deal about it in the first place, but you guys were asking me like non-stop about if I had a relaxer or not so I figured out. I make this video just to kind of talk through it, but I don't think it's a big deal. I hope this explains kind of why my hair is the way it is and like what I got done. If y'all have any other questions go ahead and leave it down below so I'll be rocking this look for a while. The pixie cut and y'all will see me style it. A few differ ways, maybe accessorized it a bit with like some headbands. I just ordered some new earrings, so I can't wait to play around with those. I look. You think I wanted the hold out of there like ear piercing, because I feel, like I don't know, ear piercings with, like short hair, that's really a whole vibe. That'S really a whole vibe, so I may be getting one at some point but yeah this. I feel so much like myself, especially at this point in my life that I'm so happy. I did it and I cannot rape wait, wait to rock this hairstyle for, however long it lasts. If you are considering cutting your hair, I'm not like gon na push you to do or not trying to force you to do it by any means. But I will say if you have like fears, let those fears go and that's for anything in life. But I thought we have gotten to this face, or so it has short hair that it's like preventing us from doing something that you really want to do, and I'm personally at the point where, like no more no more is just hair, it'll grow back, do what She want to do short, hair long, hair, protective style. Whatever just do what you want to do and don't let anybody stop you, don't let like the thoughts of other people, the talks of other people prevent you from doing what you want to do so yeah. That is it for the video again, I will leave honest osseous information down below. She really is awesome. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Today'S video hope y'all are filling this cut. Let me know your thoughts down below, but yeah. I love you guys have a wonderful day and I will talk to y'all the next video bye, guys

Joy Deja King: I’m loving her hair, makeup, backdrop and her sparkling white teeth This whole setup is just perfect.

myblacqisbeauty: Coco Chanel famously said, “a woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." I know I already commented but you look beautiful!

boots4sale: LOVE THIS! The idea that we have to be tied to our hair or a particular style is outdated! We can be natural then relaxed, then natural again, and then have blue hair if we wanted lol. Point is, do YOU! This style looks amazing on you.

Nia B.: You look absolutely stunning. Wearing your hair low like this showcases your lovely face. I agree that with pixi cuts it's often times better to relax the hair. Relaxed hair can still be healthy hair! Do you mama & live freely

Elle.charles6: I really love this look on you! It fits you so well. I’ve been natural for about 6 years and I’m so ready to relax once we’re able to go back “outside”.

Dee The Sassy Fashionista: When I hit 30 I stopped caring about my hair, I cut it off at 32 and have done various styles to my hair for ME. It felt liberating to not care anymore and not worry what others liked on me and their opinions have been non existent since then. Continue to do you...

JL: It's just hair and YOUR hair!! The haircut looks fabulous on you. I had my hair cut into a pixie like this a few years ago, and it's crazy how much it grows - my hair was growing like grass lol. Keep doing you Alisha! Xx

Mania Roxy: Girl you’re glowing and clearly feeling it. That’s all that matters. Enjoy it! It looks great on you

Dominique Padmore: I feel the same way! I didn't cut my hair, but I relaxed my hair a couple of weeks ago. I don't regret it at all.

Everything With Daph: Look the look, guys you so well. This reminds us to always do things that we want to do... not what people want us to do

Jazzy53: Natural hair is a lot of work and everybody is different on how they view their hair. You do you if you want natural rock it relaxer rock it. We worry about hair to much and it's not that serious. Your style is very pretty on you.

Grace 4 Ever: You are rocking this cut! You look gorgeous and your confidence is infectious.

With Marcia: You look stunning!!! I cut all my hair off last year (20 inches). I wanted to do a style like this but relaxer and I aren’t friends so I did a big chop instead. Growing my hair out now and planning on enjoying it more. I think that’s the most important part. Enjoy your hair ladies !!!

ohseauxnatural: It looks great on you! Omg i feel the same way when I decided to loc my hair 4 weeks ago. I knew that my ppl here on YT and IG would be disappointed but it’s just hair. I can change it whenever I want.

Nadine Walker: I don’t know why YouTubers feel the need to explain why they did something they personally wanted to do for themselves on a personal level. Do you always regardless.

Tynisha Orphe: I LOVEEEE IT, Alisha! Do what makes YOU happy! I was natural since 2013 and I have a relaxed pixie cut too, cut 3/13. And I love mine too! Excited to see your journey

Reesecup727: I LOVE IT!! I did the same in November and a pixie cut ❤️❤️ It so care-free

The S Fam: I love this whole vibe...hair, background, everything lol ❤ Do what makes you happy...I recently tex-laxed my hair and was hesitant for all of 2 minutes because some people made comments like "Oh you shouldn't relax your hair because you are teaching your daughter that you're not even confident with your own curly hair or you don't truly love yourself because you are relaxing your hair and etc..."....I quickly remembered that I was never the type to follow the crowd and let others ' opinions influence mine...especially when it came to something so minuscule as hair! Love it and continue to do what makes you happy!!! ❤❤❤

Elliey Bea: Yaaaasssss I love it!!!! I went to relaxers for the first time when I got my pixie and it was so much easier!!! Thank you for adding the stylist information. I have been looking for someone in Houston to cut my hair!!! I’m going to check her out when all this is over! I’m so happy that you love it!!! Pixies are the best!!! You go Alisha!!!

JustJas: Yessss! I understand the feeling! I was forced to start my natural hair journey over due to heat damage in 2016 but after growing my hair out for about a year I started falling in love with tapered hair cuts. So I got my hair cut in a tapered cut in 2018. And it felt soooooooo good not to give a crap about hair and just let it be. I dyed my hair and everything lol Now I’m bored again and trying to figure out if I wanna cut it, straighten it & even thought about relaxing it so I opted for braids until I figure it out. But you look gorgeous, as always, and the hair is BOMB! Love it!

Johanna Reed: Love the relaxer & it’s cute . I think you right on point , you should do what make you happy . ‍♀️

Ashley N. Withers: Haha! From one relaxed diva to another, I already knew sis! Like you, I also went natural in 2014 and have done it all! I also had a relaxed pixie before being natural so I totally get that happiness and freedom you’re feeling. Do you girl! You’re literally glowing up in every way and I love it!

Jasmine Liddell: Hey Alisha!!! I'm loving this pixie cut! I had a pixie for about four years, I loved it. I felt like a diva! The only reason I grew my hair back out because my daughter seen old pictures of me and her when she was baby with long hair. So asked me to let my hair grow back out so she can see me with long hair. The maintenance of pixies are easier than longer hair. So as of now, I've been growing my hair back for 18 months. There have been many of times that I've been tempting to cut it back off.

Chandria: You are speaking to me Alisha! I want to do short hair. I Had it back in college and loved it! My hair is big and curly now and I’m nervous to let it go but every cut I want is relaxed, just like you said. I love this look on you and I’m here for it. Love your channel

Michelle Moore: I love your pixie cut. It is so, so cute on you! You go girl! I cut my hair about 3 weeks ago into a box style & I love the ease of it. Do you, because nobody else does your hair for you or pay your bills. New year, new you!!!!

Chelsea Horne: I was natural from 2012-2019 and my hair was severely damaged and broken off so I got permed and pixie’d my hair in September of last year

NaturallyTD -: You look amazing! Girul, if you feel that you want to relax, go for it. Don’t worry about the negative nellies. We (I) watch you for more than just your hair. Truth be told, I enjoy your lifestyle videos more than the hair videos. Either way, you are stunning!!!

Katy The Beauty: This style suits you so well. And you’re happy about your hair so that’s all that matters. Natural hair is a lot of work so I feel you and sometimes we just want a switch up. Nothing wrong with that!

Monifa 360: I love your natural hair but this, this hairstyle is absolutely gorgeous on you!! I am so loving it!!! We need a video on this whole makeup look & this amazing back ground

Faith Love & Dreams: That cut brings your features even more! It looks Great on you! Rock it Hunti!!

Shirley Mitchell: Hi Alisha, I went through the same transition, I mean exactly like you last year. I was natural for over 5 years and was just ready for a change in the new year. So this past January, I went to a GREAT stylist and had my hair relaxed and cut into a short pixie cut as well. I love it!. I don't regret my decision and never look back. I'm still wearing my pixe cut.

Roni M: Beautiful style! I’ve seen stylists achieve the “look” without a relaxer. But the hair will revert back

Miss Nay: I love this cut!! I 've ben wanting a pixie cut for sooo long! I need to find a stylist in Dallas. I need this type of simple yet cute style in my life!

M. P.: Your hair is pretty and your brows look beautiful!!

_MeekLife: You look great in this hairstyle. I love this look, your positivity, and your glow. Freedom looks great on you!

angela silver: So happy for you. You do what's good for you. You look beautiful as always!! Rock that Pixie Cut!!!

SavvyAshley: I went back to relaxing my hair as well! I work out daily and I just do not have the time! Plus chasing my two toddlers around, I have more fun just getting up and going!

Erika A: This cut is everything! You are wearing it beautifully. Love it

sharon purdue: Your hair looks very beautiful! It becomes you more than you know. I've worn a short cut for years!!! I don't like messing around with my "do" so I keep it cut short just because it suits me. This really fits you perfectly!

Frances C.: I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Your new cut looks fabulous! Absolutely do you! After catching up on your personal life journey, when God is with you no one can be against you

Rita Wilson: I feel you Alisha! I did a tex-lax two years ago and within 6 months I was back 100% natural so it don't take long.

Alisha Cooley: Yes ma’am!! Loving this short cut on you. If my face shape was different I would definitely rock this cut.

BeautywithMika: I love it. I chopped my hair off earlier last year. I plan to get a new piercing soon and just love it. Enjoy it!

Dee Valencia: As long you are happy with YOUR hair, that's all that matters, keep up the good work. Many blessings to you and Val. I've been natural since 2016 and I love it. Relaxers are no good for my scalp.

Jada Rashawn: We love it sis!! I also love the glow on you!! Love you!

Debra Sandifer: Love your hair ! The style fits your face beautifully! I think people need to focus on what is best for them. Do you because this is your journey.

It's My Life Daralynn: Hey love you look pretty either way. It's tough to get certain styles with coarse hair. There isn't anything wrong with a relaxer or being chemical free. Do what makes you happy.

ms.chelle: Love the cut on you. When I cut my bsl length hair my mom wasn’t crazy about it but that’s what I told her. “It’s hair and it will grow back.

Kay McKant: Loving the hair and make up!!! Do you, lol. I recently struggled with wanting to be a straight-natural, but I decided that I liked both. I’m now committed to being a straight natural. Girl, it’s been so much easier as a full time career woman and mom of two!!!! Make up tutorial please

Nicole C: You are gorgeous with this cut. Short hair looks so good on you. I can tell you’ve been taking care of yourself. You’re just glowing.

LC Jones: I wore a pixie cut for years but then grew it out. Looking at you makes me miss my pixie cut so bad! You look great with short hair...you can see more of your face which is glowing. Do what makes you feel good.

Tawanna F: You are amazingly beautiful natural or straight. I’ve been feeling the same way for a while. Time for a new me and I don’t care what others say either. Continue to do you.

Ayonnaz Glam: Recently relaxed my hair and I love it! Beautiful haircut

Katrina Bell: Alishaaaaa!!!! I went to a partial relaxer last August and I just cut my hair in a short bob!!! I’m ready to go shorter as soon as we can stop quarantining!!! It’s so much easier to workout and also do my daughter’s hair because I was getting overwhelmed!!!

Johnet Kristie: Sis--- you look so good... and it's not just the hair, makeup, skin.... there's a glow to you!!

Pegasus 1: I love love the pixie hair cut and I think i saw a relaxer coming as you've been in the mood for a change. And change is good, you are so much happier with this hair and in general Your energy is great in the current climate And your eyebrows Love from London

Kgittens: You look amazing. Do what makes you happy. Am going to take a queue from you, and stop worrying about what ppl will think. I have a natural mohawk, but I wanted to relax my hair for a bit but have been hesitant, thinking about what ppl would say. Well no more, am gonna do what will make me happy. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.

Laney Jackson: You have no imperfections on your skin, ( hyperpigmentation, bumps). How do you keep your skin so perfect? Can you do a skin care tutorial of the products you are using day/night? Just beautiful.....

Saintly Iconic Soul: You definitely just motivated me to get my short hair back since I have been debating on it for the last couple of months

Ais4Anomaly: I've been thinking about doing the same thing! It looks lovely!

Made In Glitter: This looks SO good on you!!!

Dee C.: You look Gorgeous!!! I plan on going a slight route like you. Going to start blow drying and flat ironing my natural hair. I have a baby face and want to look a little more mature and grown ☺️

Ms.Robin: This style looks good on you... I notice more pple are getting their hair relaxed now...my natural hair is long so It’s easier to style but I def remember not being able to do anything with it when it was shorter

Jenny Hypp: I did the same thing for the same reason this past December and I’m loving it!! Pixie haircuts unite!

DEBRA'S PLACE: Love your hair, it looks great on you!

Andrea Hischak: I’m literally doing the opposite journey. I had a short straight pixie cut since 2012 (not relaxed, but flat ironed only) and I started growing it out natural in September 2019. I was nervous to grow it out bc a Pixie cut fits my face shape perfectly and I always got compliments on my short hair . My hair is getting pretty long now and my curls are popping but omg so much more WORK. I’ll give it another year or so and if I’m not feeling it I’m cutting it back off .I’m turning 30 in June and I wanted something different. Anyway.. lol...Short straight pixie cut looks good on you! The relaxer made me cringe a bit but like you said, it’s short enough that you can cut it out and start over natural if you want. Enjoy!

Latoya B.B.: Your hair looks good either way. I love it! Would you ever consider doing a tech video like showing us the lens you use, your main camera settings etc? Your video quality always look great!

Mony Rice: It’s looks so amazing!!

Patricia Terry: You look so pretty! You sound so free of your hair! I feel the opposite of how you feel now! I want to be hair free too! Thank you for this Vlog!
