Short Hairstyles For Women Over 60 - Pixie Cut

Hi everyone - I am here with Brenda and it's super fun to be in her in person. I met her through my youtube. Also she is from price, and so it's a little. How long did it take you to drive down Ellen about an hour about now? I have to get here well, she's out of price, but up by there so anyway yeah she and her daughter and her two grand boys they're outside playing. He might can hear him in a minute there. There darling, but it's fun to have them. I'M excited to do this new cut on Brenda. Now she has a lot of length through here. She says: she's had a hard time getting. You know her hair to stand up and have fullness, so I'm gon na help her do that and she said she's playing without her glasses. So I get to do whatever. I want right right right. I thought you said she might just go for it and I can't see - oh my god right. Okay, so we're gon na take her back short just so she doesn't have to deal with that. So I'm going to just take this across and then we'll clean it up with the trimmers like I said this is what I love about my job and you know doing my YouTube channels. I get to meet so many people, which is just a blast. Okay. So now I'll take the little trimmers clean this. It'S cute, the boys love my dog. They they went out and seen. I have a German Shepherd long, hair anyway, in there they was liking her. So that's good she's won out to play with the kids, I'm sure. Okay, so I'm gon na take this short and what I mean. What I want to kind of plan on doing with this is she said she'll round brush, sometimes or she'll just dry it, but I'm gon na. Do it short enough to where she can do both? She has a flat iron if she wants to. You know flat iron at that you know tiny bit shorter and then you know so we can round brush it or do it with the flat iron and stick it up. Do it a little spiky just depends on what she's doing for the day she's like yep, just just get it cut. We just need it done. So that is good. I love it. That'S right to see the hair girls back or you know you can always change it. That'S super fun! That'S a good attitude! I like that. My hair tattoo, my hair tattoo. Oh my gosh Brenda. This is oh. She said she can't see. I didn't do anything. I want how fun is she? I love that seriously. Such a good attitude tell me about my hair. Is the attitude, though I have a bad attitude everywhere else. Your husband says oh yeah yeah. They always have their opinions. I guess yes, joy. She'Ll tell you. Yeah choice, her daughter come with her. It'S it's so fun, it's fun to meet him. It is so the back I'm coming pretty tight here. Just so Brenda doesn't have to deal with with the back, but yet it's still cut. You know cute okay, now I'm just taking this like a 90 degree angle, so straight out from her her head just point: cutting hold it out this way and then you know I start to angle in so it's tighter towards the bottom um and you do you Care, if it's like above your ear Brenda, or do you want to over your ear little, it could be my yard. This site can be really shard. If you wanted, the other site can be longer out there how cute she's, like just just whatever whatever works. I think it all goes back so cute yeah and see I'm not too far away. You can come see me again. Yeah, oh I'm not gon na be in trouble. We'Re gon na have fun. I love it, so the dog that he was looking for. You like dogs, then yeah on the farm, and we have cows and we had a little dog outside that who finally died, and so we need something outside I'm not a working dog for outside of cattle doc. I really in fact one of my ladies had ordered the Clippers and scissors and stuff. Oh, my goodness, she's like well. I go. I got ahold of you right before I went to start using him before they got there, so thank goodness they didn't get there until I got ahold of yes, so that's too funny. Okay, so of course, on this bottom and I'm bringing this this tight, you see that looks nice and clean already love that I'm excited to show you how this is gon na stand up YouTube Brenda's, like you're gon na stand that up. Are you sure I've tried and it doesn't happen? Yes, Brenda and I we've been gon na get together a couple of times and I am so happy we finally both made it happen. It was great. Well, I don't like to drive the Romans. I am super happy for that because I don't know there's just something about being with people, especially driving in that far, and you want somebody with you for sure right, exactly you're like, but I'm there yep, okay, perfect. No, I just I could tell that's a little long there and if you feel like a pieces a little long, you can go back up this way, horizontal going up the head and make sure that that's all even going up come on this side kind of double Check this yeah Brenda you'll be able to do your hair, pretty darn fast good. Well, that would be nice well good, so you'll do it fast. Instead of putting a hat on he'll have a cute style, yeah good! I love that. Okay, now she likes the big here in her front. So I want to come straight across here and take this length off, but yet her bang, you can see that front right there. That'S her Bane, which we're gon na go a little shorter on her bangs anyway, but I'm just showing that's where I'm going to the front there, I'm so funny. I had a client today, you know she comes once every three weeks and she had said we videotaped her and you know we're usually always talking during her her appointments. Well, she was like the first time she goes. Oh that's! The first time I've ever heard the scissors cut, because you don't really usually we're like talking, and so it's funny to her she's like oh actually, like the first time, I've ever heard scissors cut my hair because talk and talking so that site I'm bringing up to Connect to the top - and you can see where that is I'm going to take that corner off. There'S a cup of pal expect that all right, you probably have found them right, see that's gon na be nice to have that short. So we can hold this up. I know a lot of people like to try to keep them longer, which was some calyx. You know work better with its younger, but but yours are gon na be great too to have it shorter. I think it'll actually help you a lot, though this kind of going place instead of you having to try to put it where it needs to be right and so okay, so I'm just kind of holding that over the ear, this a little bit more so that They have you shut down over here. No, I'm, not my good, a total shutdown. I know a few people that had you know some some health risks downtown, which I just felt so blessed because I've been in my home but yeah they've been. There was a couple of them that that had stopped for a little bit but everybody's calling. So so it's nice they shut everything down over. Oh really, yeah. I think it was what two weeks ago they start letting them open back up. That'S why I said: do I need a master right right, yeah that is so nice of you yeah. It'S been good, I felt really blessed to be. You know, hearing in the small town. What yours is it's just it's crazy how different? I guess it can be right for everywhere. When I had heard California was still you know, maybe not gon na open till August. I was like I'm glad I live where I live me too. That'S exactly I'm like, oh, I am just. I am too spoiled with my clients. I just love to deal with them way too much yeah, that's for sure, okay, so of course I'm taking that the length off from this layer that I hope out and then angle it in here by the ear and we'll talk about some color down the road. Okay, perfect yeah, and then you know why I really liked. When you came, I really do like the color, so yeah we'll definitely talk that too cuz. You know now we're gon na be buddies and which we have been on the phone and stuff. But it's a nice try, but it wasn't too bad. Today there was some logic: traffic, oh good, good, a little bit of construction, but not much good! That'S nice! Cuz! When it's when it's nice, it's more of a relaxing Drive than the hectic you know. So that's really nice good good to hear okay, I'm just gon na hold these sides out. I know I'm gon na want to take some more. You know in the front it's funny when you start cutting and you can feel a little bit and then you go to pull it or go to cut that area again. You can see it like that. Little corner that you're filling it's fun once you get cut in for a while, you start to notice those things okay, so she goes to the left and I do want to bring your bangs up a little. So I'm gon na go on an angle points head into those. You know think about it like how how much are they going to shrink? You know what I mean once you curl them or dry them, some people. You know it's hard because they'll just hold the hair down and just go to town if they're like holding it hard like really tight down and then they let go and the baby's over so just kind of keep in mind about that. Okay, that's feeling good! All right now I want to do, is take the texturizing shears and you can see how I want to show you this so see how red his hair is just kind of down. Okay, now I'm not coming in her part, I'm coming away from her part, but I'm about half the inch up and I'm just gon na take the texturizing shears and I'm going through the strand bit strand up it kind of go like one two, three on the Way out, one two three a little bit through here through the back: have you ever um textured a little bit a little bit, but not much right, yeah, okay and then what I'm gon na do. Is I'm gon na just lift her bangs? So I'm not gon na come by this scalp. I'M not just gon na go right through the ends. I'M gon na kind of come to the middle and just slightly go through that hair and that will just give it a little bit of body through the big area. Okay. So now, then I just take that hair comb. It out all right, your net okay. So I'm just kind of getting that hair out, but I want to show you so it was just sitting there and now, if I go like this, you can see that the little hairs that I just cut into there it'll help hold it up where before it Was just flat so I can flatten it out, but then I can come back up and and if it falls in any spot, like you go like this, if it starts to fall, you can even do a little bit more, that's kind of a way to know How much you need and she'll notice this big difference like when she goes home to style it she'll be like oh okay, the hair does lift up more because you have those little hairs in there that help that hold up so anyway. That'S why I love texture and she has fine hair, but then I helps find hair. A lot of people are scared and a little nervous, which is understandable because they're thinking you might have fine hair, I don't want to cut any of it out, but it really does help alright. So that is the root lifter. That'S gon na definitely lift through here and then one squirt of the mousse rub it in. Of course, it's really concentrated if you've watched my other videos from back when I would like you know, because then you'd go like this and it was like kind of disappear. More where this is really concentrated, so, okay, Brenda and then after I dry you if we need to to cut some some more whatever we will, but we'll just dry it. Next. This is the thickening spray, and this is gon na make her hair look and feel thicker just going to put her down tiny bet here. There we go and then sorry get that poor hair out of your face. I was like to lose money. I'M driving. We have this bracket forward, okay, so she you know she felt this way, but what I'm doing is I'm drying the opposite way, a little bit to get at that volume with the word and then start driving back together with you can already see. I wanted Brenda to like see the fullness of her hair already without you know, round brushing it or anything but anyway, so now bitter round brush it her hair. You know it's about baby drying, 90 % dry makes it a lot easier to round brush. Is that about your excitement? Okay, so what I'm gon na do before I style is. I want to show Brenda her hair and I want to see if she wants some more. You know like the spiky up here. She wants it more flat ironed her if she loves the look of the round brush. So in a shower and of course, even if you like it round brushed perfect, then then I can put some stuff in it when you leave it that way, and if not, I can do it worse, but do you want you like it spike? I do a bit simple spike. Yeah yeah looks like that. That'S what I thought I'm like. I want Brenda to see it and kind of see, look at that kind of fun because you can see it like that and then you're good, but I just wanted you to see it. You know round brush, so you can wear it like that or you can just bring your flat iron in and pull up. Okay cuz. That way you can get both looks you know what I mean and, and if one day you just want to wear it more socks like I just had it then that's great. If not, we can do it a little more. Oh spikey! Isn'T that fun? We can just throw some product in that and then and peace that out. How do those things feel about about right about not too long, but just gon na get one little piece here? Okay, now what I'll do is just take a little bit of the clay and rub it in my hands good here, oh my gosh see. Oh, I love that see she's like wait. What she was like darling. It'S never stood up like. I can't get it to stand up. Nothing like I said well good Brenda. I'M gon na show you how it's gon na stand up. Well, she's like okay, you can show me, I'm like okay, let's do it, you can't do miracles, oh you're, so sweet! Thank you, but that's fun to piece this out. That'S cute around your glasses, too, these little pieces. I love that. In fact, I'm really glad you put your glasses on with it cuz that looks super cute and now good lovin that I'm just gon na take just backcomb little. You know in down and out little C shapes not straight up and down. Like you know this you're gon na kind of come in down and out and then so of course, like Brenda you're, probably going to look stand up. I just I'd like to spray it okay and then what's nice is that hairspray is movable. So after you spray it, I can just come back in with my comb you're trying to place it. So is this too much for lady. Oh okay, do not say she's well. Are you kidding me, look how cute she is. I love it. No, it isn't. In fact, that's what I love when people come in and say you know: what are you thinking guy? I love this look because I have have a lot of people love this fun spiky and the reason is is because everybody, you know it's such a good lift. You know it lifts and it just it is so such a good, good, good, fun people, playful, yeah, yeah, exactly okay. Now what I'm gon na do for him is just gon na turn. You around everybody, the cute back.
