Pixie Cut Hair Styling - Curly/Wavy (Calista Perfecter Pro)

Hey friends, i hope you're having a good day so today, i'm just gon na do a pretty simple pixie cut style. This is actually the first pixie cut style video i have done since i recently got my hair trimmed at the salon and, as you can see, my blonde is completely gone. You know sometimes i sort of miss it and then other times i'm like. Oh, it's my natural hair color. I like it. So i'm sure i will get highlights at some point. Maybe my next cut not quite sure. I'M not gon na do like main highlights on my hair, but maybe some tips like i had before, but until then i'm just gon na enjoy my new haircut and i have to tell you it's been super fun to style, i'm getting used to how the new Cut lays and i'm just going to do a blow-dry style today, going to put a little bit of soft curls in with my kalista perfector pro and use a few different products and see if i can get a style out of this today, i'm going to start By spraying, this amica brooklyn bombshell blowout spray. I'Ve been using this quite frequently. Lately, it's really good for blow drying, there's a heat protectant and it does give you a bit more volume when you do blow dry your hair, so we'll start here, just kind of distribute it around. I love the smell of this stuff. It smells like slightly of coconuts, it's really nice, so i don't know about you guys, but it's starting to get just a tinge bit cooler here in my neck of the woods and i'm celebrating by wearing a sweater today, but i can tell you what it will Be in the high 80s today so it is getting warm during the day, but it is starting to cool off at night, which i'm so thankful, for i am ready for fall. Are you guys ready for fall? I am so ready to see the leaves changing the bright crisp mornings. I'M excited for it, so give us three or four more weeks, and i think we might be there all right, so i think i'm ready to blow dry the way i've been blow drying. This particular haircut lately is not with a round brush, but simply with my fingers and we'll go ahead and blow dry, it i'm going to keep this kind of side, part going and let's get started all right. So we'll just do a quick comb through here. One note it's so funny. You know, since i've been dyeing my hair for like 10 years, i was really curious. How much gray i was going to have you know once my natural hair color came through and i got all the color chopped off, as you can tell, i have like a bit of gray coming in here around my right temple, just a little tiny bit on My left area right here i actually like it it's kind of cute. I think natural gray color, especially when it's like salt and peppered into the hair, is super super cute. Honestly, i could go out just like this. I could do a quick spray, so if you're looking for a super, simple style, my goodness blow dry in the way you want it brush it spray, it scrunch it a little bit. But i want to do a little bit more with that, but, as you can tell, this cut is very nice. It is over my ears and i'll show you the back, so i have set the temperature of the kalista perfector pro to 375 degrees fahrenheit. It'S heated up, so i'm ready to do this. The thing i'd like to do before i start putting curls in is just do a quick spot of hairspray. I like to do that, sometimes to get the curls to stick a little more. So i'm going to take this redken triple take 32, which is my new absolute favorite hairspray. By the way, thanks to one of my subscribers for suggesting this hairspray, i love it. I didn't think i was gon na like it because it's an extreme hold, but it is really really good for pixie cuts. So i'm gon na do a real, quick spray of this just to hold the curls a little more, not heavy or anything like that. But i just wanted to spray all around to get a coating okay. So here's what i'm going to do, i'm going to just take a comb and get a little bit of hair here now you don't need this particular tool. You could use a round brush to blow dry your hair to get some curl in there. I think getting a little bit of curl because i have bored straight hair does help in the general style of my hair. It doesn't necessarily look curly, but it looks more styled, and so that's why i always like. If i have the time i do put a few curls in the top like i'm doing here, because i just think it gives more volume and can look really pretty when you style it. That being said, i also do real simple styles before i start curling i'll. Do that quite frequently, because it still looks really good and didn't take a very legitimate style to get going so in the us this weekend, this is labor day weekend, so i got three days off. This is monday, and this is my day off. I am so thankful for a three-day weekend. It'S been really really nice, my kids are adults and my kids came over for game night. We played a bunch of board games. We try to do that like once a week, but it's kind of like a fun way to get together and spend time with your family and we love board games in my family. Every time we get together, we play lots of board games, but we also played a little bit of pickleball this weekend after we got all sweaty playing pickleball, we went and jumped in the lake and did some swimming, so we've had a really really nice weekend and I got a little spoiled this weekend from not working all right. I think i'm just about done here. I always like to put a few curls right back here. Okay, so now i think i'm ready for a style i've been using this. I really can't stop using it because i love it so much, but this is water resin, this company called away. I will link it in the description. I don't even know what you would call it, but it's kind of like a very thick gel. I just can't get enough of the smell and the consistency of it. It'S a really nice consistency. What i do is i just put a little bit on the ends of my fingers and it kind of makes your fingers just slightly sticky, but you can do a lot of the surface level styling of your hair with your fingers, so i'm really liking. How this looks with a little bit of bangs here, and i also like kind of bringing these little wispies out onto my forehead and right now, i'm just playing with it. I'M just rubbing my fingers through my hair picking my hair up with my fingertips and we'll show you the back here. I was looking through a bunch of pictures from my youtube channel. Really you can go back and look at all my videos from my youtube channel and see what my hair used to look like just a year ago, which was pretty much all blonde, and you know the one big difference is like my hair feels like it's so Healthy right now, it's shiny it's healthy and that's why i'm like really considering maybe spending some time and not coloring it right away, because i'm just enjoying just the healthiness of the hair, which you know once you start dying your hair and i'm not against bleaching. Your hair, knowing me and looking at all the different styles i've had over the years. I'Ve had so so much fun with my hair and so much fun with different colors and styles. But it is a nice change. Having really really healthy, hair and - and i can tell like my hair - is shiny - my hair is easy to style. It holds moisture better. One thing i used to do is not wash my hair every day because it was like drying. It out a little too much and i can now wash my hair every day. It doesn't dry out too much. So that's a nice change all right. So i'm pretty happy with how this has come out, and so now i'm gon na do some quick spray of this triple take 32 from redken? What'S nice about it, is it's a like it's not really sticky, but what i noticed with this stuff is like you really can get a lot of height on your hair, and i just honestly i love it. Love it love it! Okay. What do you guys think? I think it came out really really cute. I'M liking the style, it kind of looks a little bit vintage. Would you guys agree anyways?
