Humidity Proof Wavy Hair Routine

This is a Wavy & Curly Hair Routine video that's perfect for the Indian Monsoon season. During monsoon, we see excess humidity. Living in Calcutta with high humid conditions, I've noticed that a few things really help to tame my frizz and give me volume without sacrificing on definition. 1. I use both a denman brush and comb to make sure I have volume and uniform definition.

2. I layer my stylers, while also keeping it moderately light and fluffy. I make sure that my moisturizers are enough for my hair, but I also make sure that I am not over moisturizing my hair. I also make sure to use products that give me hard hold while also keeping my roots fluffy.

3. Finishing with a hair spray or hair mist for extra hold is also a big part of my routine in humid conditions.

4. Using clips for root lift is an equally part of my routine to make sure my hair has enough volume and does not look limp.

This is my humidity proof, wavy hair routine for extreme volume. I pre-pooed off camera the night before using plums tea tree scalp serum i'll quickly demonstrate. On one section i dotted the serum on my scalp and patted it in i. Let it dry and put my hair in a pineapple on wash day i'll go in with plums tea tree shampoo. This is an anti-fungal shampoo, perfect for an itchy scalp. I'M using this because i've been working out quite a bit and my focus right now is scalp health. You can use this in your cg routine if you have dandruff issues and it also lathers up quite a bit i'll wash the shampoo off and then i'll go in with trufrog's conditioner. This conditioner has become my absolute favorite. I generally apply a generous amount to my lengths, and these days i've been spending a lot of time really working in the product. I work in small sections and i finger detangle to be quite honest. I never in a million years even thought that this was a possibility for me. Like never did i imagine that i'd be finger detangling, but the true frog conditioner has such incredible slip that even finger detangling somehow works on my hair. The breakage is absolutely minimum, but i also have to mention that now that my hair is way shorter, detangling has become much much much easier than before. Once i'm done detangling i squish to condition, and then i wash the conditioner off next, i'm going to deep condition with the just hop shiroli palm scalp and hair treatment mask this mask is a staple in my routine. I use a generous helping on my hair lengths and then i distribute a little bit of product on my scalp butting, my hair and applying a small bit to each section. I'Ll do a two strand twist and clip up my hair leave the dc on for 20 minutes wash off thoroughly and then start styling, my hair. I have my hair in five sections. I want to make sure that the hair is not super wet and it's not super dry. If it is super wet, then i won't get a cast and then i won't have any hold the more hold. I get the less frizz i have and if it's too dry then i'll have wet frizz while i'm styling. So i want to make sure that the hair is perfect. A good way to check is just to take your hands and just ring your hair out like this, so that it's damp, it's not sopping wet, but it's not dry either. I'M using the best life leave-in conditioner today, i'm using that much perfection emulsify on the palm of your hands and apply using roping and raking now i'll go in with some gel i'm using the northwish naturals gel just a little bit of it. I'M applying the gel to my top lengths only and then i take the enliven gel. This is the green one, the level five one generally during window. I prefer using the blue one way more, but since this is a routine, where we're trying to combat humidity and frizz, i'm obviously going to go with harder hold, which is why i'm using this? Take that much. I don't really enjoy putting the enliven gel too close to my roots, and so i start around here and then i just go down my hair lengths. You can use roping raking, praying hands, whatever works for you best, then i'll start creating my curl clumps for the bottom, two sections i'm using a wide tooth comb, because the girls on my under sections are quite tight compared to the hair. On top of my head. Once i create my curl clamps, i scrunch this footage is sped up in order to make the video short. But please note that i do this very, very gently and very very slowly. You have to remember to scrunch mindfully so that you don't cause frizz applying gel before creating curl. Clumps will also reduce the occurrence of frizz, while scrunching so make sure you scrunch gently and check for the squishing sound. If you don't hear it, then you can spray. Your hair down with a little more water next i'll tackle the top sections i'll apply leave-in and both the gels exactly as before to style these sections i'll use a seven-row denman brush i've removed three rows from the brush. This is going to give me way. More definition compared to a comb granted that the clumps would be way thinner than the comb, but having thinner clumps also means that you have more clamps and more clamps will equal more volume notice how i'm directing the hair away from my scalp. This is going to give me significant root, lift i'll, apply, leave-in and gel to my top sections exactly as before, and create my curl clumps using the denman brush, then i'll delicately scrunch check for the squishing sound scrunch from the right scrunch from the left and then Scrunch upside down, after which i'll block for 20 minutes next, i remove the flop and gently let my hair down. I make sure that a light gel cast has formed on my hair, after which i'm going to use some alligator clips. You'Ll need around three to four clips to do this, make sure you're using high quality smooth edged clips. Otherwise this step is going to completely ruin all of your hard work. I love these clips that i picked up from amazon because they're super high quality. They do not snag on my hair at all after this i'll spray, my hair down with a kateen hair holding mist. This is a stronghold mist which has been making all of the difference in my hair recently perfect for humid conditions. Perfect. If you want that extra hold, so i have the clips on i'll air dry for a bit and then i'll start hover diffusing near my top sections. Then i'll have a diffuse. My hair lengths before i pixie diffuse i'll, remove the alligator clips. Can you see how easy it is to remove these clips? None of my clumps have gotten destroyed either they didn't leave any indents on my hair. Make sure that you have a light cast on your hair before you use them, and you should be good. I'M multitasking, as i pixie diffuse, as you can see my little daughter. My little baby wanted to be included in the process, we're both pretty much stuck together all day, which is what you're witnessing right here. One day when i look back, i know i'm gon na cherish this footage. Okay, so check out the root, lift that i already have. My hair is 90 dry now i'll re-clip, my hair, just to make sure that i have the maximum volume and lift that i can possibly get. Volume is created while the hair dries not while the hair is being washed, so you have to make sure to manipulate it in such a way that while it is drying you're giving it that root, lift in volume, my hair is completely dry. Now i'm using the vilva serum i'll glaze it through my hair legs. This is gon na help me get rid of that gel cast next i'll fluff out my roots and scrunch out the crunch. These are my results, so much volume, so much bounce and so much definition. That was pretty much it if you gain value thumbs up the video comment down below share my videos for the youtube algorithm and if you're looking for more textured hair content, you can click on the videos right here.

Akhila K: Hi Michelle. I started CGM in February after watching your videos. I told you about that through comments. It's been a journey. In the beginning I struggled with itchy scalp. So I consulted with a cosmetic dermatologist. When I talked to him about CGM, i mocked at me infront his staff. He advised me to wash my hair since we are living in a tropical country. He actually scolded me because I trusted YouTube. I was heart broken. But still i continued CGM. Because that was my last hope. I was about to cut my hair, before CGM. Last month I attended my best friend's wedding. Many have noticed my curly hair. Some little kids came over and touched my hair. They said to their parents about my beautiful curls. That was such a happy moment for me. I really can't express my happiness. I haven't received such a good comment on my hair for a long time. Still i haven't found my best routine or products. But I feel really confident. And i strongly believe that one day I will make it. Thanks to you Michelle

Anu D: Hey Michelle. I was browsing through some hair sprays, as they help me fix my everyday post-travel-frizzy hair in office. Ktein has a bunch of sprays on their website to offer and all of them looks promising. Since you have used a few of them, do you have any recommendations for both styling and refreshing needs? Or do you have Ktein products review on your cards?

Shreya Bhowmick: I'll definitely follow these steps on my next wash day. Thank you for this useful content.

Anamika: Your videos are always so good and informative. Since my hair pattern is kinda similar to yours, so whenever i have any wavy hair related issue or want to include some new products, I always rush to watch your videos and learn from them and takes notes too haha. Thank you so much!!

Lee Stark: Another gem of a video. On your recommendation I purchased the enliven level 5 hard hold gel. Can't wait to style my hair with it

Nehal Kangad: Hello Michelle, I am new to this concept and want to start using CGM. I have short wavy hair (probably 2a), and I’ve never coloured them and I never heat style them. Currently all I do is just wash them and they look nice and wavy on the first day but after that they just look weird. My scalp gets oily just hours after washing them so I don’t use any conditioner currently . Should I be using conditioner or any other products? I’m worried that it might just weigh my hair down.

Tina: Hi Michelle..good information as usual, will try like you have suggested.keep giving us such good content.

Malika Srivastava: Still struggling to get good hold and texture with my hair. But I'll get there, hopefully soon!

Rochelle Laporte: Wow awesome results Mich. I just bought the plum Avacado shampoo and condish. Will use it and let you know how it is. I shall try this routine as well. Thankyou for the video.

Oils make my hair straw and on wet hair if I apply any product before shampoo it works best

black rose: Hi Michelle, i started to take care of my wavy/curly this year, my hair is not damaged, i used heat only 5 times my whole life(am 18),but i don't know what's the problem with my hair i use leave in and gel and style it, but it always looks frizzy and not beautiful as yours, my hair is wavy just as yours, any advice plzz, (i use ultra doux leave in)
