Is it the kinks in her hair or is it the kinks in her mind, i'm asking you what makes a black girl go ball? Her momma told her that she had planned on marrying a white boy so that her baby could have that good hair, like all them pretty girls got. You know that hair that you flip and toss all sex in class, where my hair, my natural hair, that is, is a political statement alive and well and still dancing and deep beneath the burn scars and nappy head jokes. She learned that you can try to hide trying to change, try to disguise the truth, but the truth is still the truth, and the truth will always remain that i am a black girl with burn scars deep and that i have dreamed of whiter lighter days just To take this pain and my self-esteem away, but now i can see that god made no mistake on me and i am a black girl with curl and kink, and i had a bit of a girl crown of rhythm and drum beat that no hollywood movie or Beauty magazine could ever take away from me so daughter, daughter of struggle. Oh but daughter of resistance, reclaim your roots!

Domonique McGeachy: Actually, the creme of nature mousse she uses does not have alcohol/additional ethanol. I have it and read the ingredients line by line. It's the only one I used until the newer creme of nature curling mousse, "Pure Honey Moisture & Twist" and now I alternate between the two. Thanks for sharing both the technique and this spoken word. I can listen to it on repeat.

But try to stay away from mousse and gels. They have alcohol which does out hair. Stick with cremes and oils. We used grease when I was little. Bergamot... Lol.. Protein conditioners are good. Or just eggs. My aunt used eggs for years. She had the shiniest n softest hair I ever seen. 4c can be difficult. The less you do the better.
Monica Simone: I love it. The KEY to a successful wng is your hair must be dripping, sopping WET. Still in the shower wet..add products in shower, shake and don't touch until dry.

There is no other name under heaven given unto men for us to be saved but the Name of Jesus Christ. Being saved means acknowledging that you are a sinner. Believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Repenting and asking God for forgiveness and surrending your life (past, present and future, body, soul and spirit) to God. He will hear your cry, forgive you, cleanse you from your sins with His Holy Blood and give you the power to become His child. Your name will be written in the lamb's book of life. Then ask God to baptize you with His Holy Spirit who will enable you to live the life that pleases God. This is an offer from God to each and every human being because He dearly loves humanity. One can accept this offer or reject it. God never forces Himself on anybody. Rejecting this offer means that you will have to stand before the judge of the universe in your own righteousness and try to justify yourself. Since He is Holy your righteousness will never be enough and you will have to hear the words "depart". We will not be able to give God stories on judgement day. He is all knowing, He is everywhere and all powerfull. Indeed Jesus Christ saves from eternal damnation. As long as you are alive the offer since remains. We need His righteousness.
