How To Install Double Ended Extensions In Short Hair

Double ended Dreadlock Extensions can be installed into very short hair! To purchase the dread extensions and more information on how to care for them, check out https://www.dreadlocks.com.au/

In a nutshell, you need to tie a rubber band around a small section of hair. Split your little piggy tail in half, and lay the extension through the middle. Bring the hair up and back together so the extension remains in the middle and secure it with a rubber band. Lay your hair down along the extension secure it in place with a third rubber bottom.

Double-Ended extensions can be installed in short hair. It just needs to be long enough so that you can grab a section of hair and put a rubber band around it. In this case, we're working with here, which is about four or five centimeters, or that translates one-and-a-half inches short hair - is hard to grab and get a hold of. So a good idea is to use a little hair gel or in this case we're using dread imposed red dust. Dread dust works really well, as it makes the hair kind of sticky and the drug does makes it so much easier to handle our drone Empire. Dried dust is a white powder with the zinc oxide base. It is initially visible when applied to dark hair, as you can see in this film, but it can be quickly and easily worked into the hair. So you need to start by grabbing a section of hair and tie a rubber band or a prole a stick around the base. So now take your extension and you'll see how way along the extension is a fold mark. This is where there's a few centimeters of underrated, hair we've specifically left this section under edit, so that when the extension is installed and the top half is folded over the fold will sit flat against the head. Often extensions are dreaded the entire way along and this fold will stick up quite high, so this underrated section just minimizes. That issue lay the extension over that little piggy tail that you've made and allow about one centimeter of the under edit section of hair past the rubber band secure it here with a clip now split your hair in half and which the extension in the middle and Then bring the two sections of your own hair back together and secure it with a rubber band, push the rubber band as low as possible, so that that extension is being held securely now, flatten that little bit of hair, which is sticking up and push it down. And along the length of the extension grab, a rubber band to tie it in place and work that rubber band downwards spreading it out over your own hair. If you have slightly longer hair and what we were working with in this video, then you could also add a fourth rubber band to secure it even more so you once that last rubber band is secured. You are pretty much done so just fold. The top half of the extension over and you have the yoke of your extension installed.

MistyEyes🦋: I had dreadlocks put into my semi short hair within the last two months. I took them down this month to wash my hair and planned to redye my roots and have them touched up again. But, the woman who put them in for me.. Well she pulled too tightly. There were tension bumps, I was stricken with a horrible headache and nausea. My scalp had little scabs where some hair had pulled out. When I took out those extensions.. So much of my hair fell out. I recently had to go to a pro to shave off a lot of my hair, leaving about 1-2 inches on top. As a girl with a very 'androgynous' face I feel very unfeminine and was worried about how long I would have to wait until I could have extensions again.. Well im relieved to know I might not have to wait forever to get more put in. But this time around I'm going to be going to someone else.
