Steps:

1. Create a small ponytail centered high on the back of the head with as much hair as will reach.

2. Create several additional mini ponytails as close as possible to the initial ponytail.

3. Gather the small ponytails and band them together.

4. Insert the top comb of the drawstring ponytail behind the natural hair ponytail cluster.

5. Insert the bottom comb in the same way.

6. Stretch the sides of the drawstring base over the ponytail clusters to hide them.

7. Cinch the drawstring down, wind it up, and tuck it underneath the netting.

People usually assume that draw string ponytails can only be used by people that have long enough hair to be put into a bun.. I'M going to show you a way to use draw string ponytails on shorter haircuts.. Okay, to start, we are just going to need a few rubber bands., And the idea is that we are going to try to put a few ponytails really centrally located on the top of her head.. So we are just going to pick up a section. And we are just going to carve it off., And this is going to be our focal point.. This is going to be the top and where we want the ponytail to come off of the head., So comb that nice and smooth. Grab your band and make your little ponytail.. The idea is that we want to make all of the hair look like it is. Coming to a central point., So we are going to take the next section and do the same thing. Just pick it up and band it off. With each section. You want to make sure that your hair that is going in that direction is nice and smooth.. She doesn't have enough hair to stretch all the way over to the central point, and that is okay.. We are just going to take what we can and just make everything look like. It is moving in that direction. Just continue building these little ponytails until we have everything going to that central cluster.. Now that we have everything in ponytails that we can possibly grab, we are going to take all of the little ponytails and we are simply going to contain the ends by doing one larger, centralized ponytail., And we are just going to make it into a little nub.. We are now ready to apply our draw string.. We are going to use the top and bottom combs for security., And since we have quite a bit of base to cover, we are not going to cinch it in quite as tight as we normally would.. We are actually going to leave it a little more open., So the first step is to insert our top comb. And we are going to pull this out of the way. So you can see it. And then we are going to use the bottom comb., Get that draw string out of the way. Use that bottom comb and find the bottom of the nub. And slide that in.. Now we are just going to stretch the sides over to hide any of those side. Ponytails. Do the same with the other side.. You are just going to find that draw string and you are going to give it a little bit of a tug so that it cinches everything down nice and securely.. You are going to wind it up a little bit and just simply tuck it underneath the netting
