Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio one today. I just want to do a try on of what kind of pixie styles that i have been wearing lately uh. These are all from my own collection that i have either purchased or have received for review at some point in the past. I will kind of point out some of the unique features about each one and why i like to wear them, but it is finally pixie season summer always brings to mind. We want nice cool wigs to wear, but we also want them to be cute and reflect our personal style. A look at six cute pixie wigs coming up. This has to be one of my favorite all-time pixie cuts. I'Ve worn it for years now and i've had in a couple different colors. This one is jon renau's evan and it's in the color 12 fs8 shaded praline. What i love about evan is that it's super cool, it's very practical and easy to wear, but it gives me a little bit of something around the face and i love that it's easy to style and look fresh every single time. So evan has about a five to five and a half inch fringe piece. I'M just going to stretch down to about the hollow of my cheek there. Now evan also has a lace front and then his open top sides and back that lace front, makes all the difference on this style. I don't think i would like it quite as well. If it didn't have a lace front, because it gives me so much versatility. The three things that i look for in a pixie cut before i decide to buy it are these measurements i pay attention to these pixie cut measurements more than any other kind of style. The first thing i look at is the nape. I can do a 1.75 inch nape if it's a john renault cap, because i know they fit me very well. They fit right underneath the occipital bone. So it's a true 1.75. I do shave my neck on the daily, so i know that this will be satisfactory to me in terms of covering up my natural hairline in the back and then the crown measurement. The crown is really what's going to tell you what kind of profile this wig is going to have. So if you have at least a three and a half to four inch crown, you know you're going to get a little bit of lift on the crown just directly behind the crown to give it a nice profile. I really like a cute profile on a pixie style if they get much shorter than that. I know it's going to give me more of a flat look in the back and that's really not my taste and preference, and the third thing is - and this isn't a deal breaker for me, but i really like to have some fringe like i said it gives Me a lot of versatility when it comes to styling a pixie cut. You just can do so much. You can do just as much with a pixie with fringe. As you can a long piece, you can't have a ponytail, obviously, but there's a lot. You can do with the front just to kind of class. It up dress it up just for any kind of occasion or mood if i had to name a favorite short pixie style for this season. It would be this one. I just reviewed this one back in the winter. This is ready for takeoff by raquel welch, who doesn't love a completely hand-tied cap in these beautiful, versatile fibers. This is in the color rl1723ss shaded ice, latte macchiato, but the layers are exquisite. I have not found anything like it before and, of course, the lace and the monofilament and the mesh base really really set off this wig as something that is sort of one of a kind. What i love about it is obviously the cap features and also these fibers are extremely impressionable. They kind of just stay where you put them. This is the heat friendly fiber by raquel welch, there's a little bit of texture to it. This one also has a little bit longer measurement, so if you uh need a little bit of a longer nape, this one has a three inch nape, really nice coverage in the back, and then it features the six and a half inch fringe at the front, which I love this can just be swept off of the face and if you've caught my review on this style, i go through a lot of different, unique styling options for this one, all of them so much fun, but it can go from chic evening. Look to something more casual, but it's just perfect for the upcoming short pixie season. So for those of you who have been watching my videos for a while, you might recognize this pixie cut, but most of you probably won't. This is a discontinued style by amore. It'S called phoenix and it's a beautiful cropped, pixie. The reason why i'm showing it is because i'm actually going to be wearing it this summer and i'm always thrilled with this style. It'S a short crop pixie with some longer pieces, so you'll notice that that fringe kind of bumps out here at about six and a half inches most of it, however, is between one and two inches and a very short one and a half inch nape. This is in the color creamy blonde creamy blonde yeah, but i love these spiky punky layers. So i thought i would show it to you just to inspire you that if you do like shortcuts, you might want to take it up a notch and do something more. Like a cropped pixie, you know a shorter spikier cropped pixie, just to give it a little pizzazz or to switch it up a little bit for your summertime. This was a huge hit for me last year. I wore this one several times and loved every minute of it. This is energia by belletress, and i've actually did a trio of pixie cuts by belletress i'll, go ahead and put the link above so that you can see them all three in one video, but to show you two of those today, the first one is energy. Is here in the color champagne, with apple pie? Love love, love these spiky layers. Now this one has a really short bang at 2.75 inches. You just never have to worry about that getting in your face, but it does give enough uh of texture. That gives me that interest around the face that i really love now in the back you're, going to find it's a really short nape at one and a half inches. So you'll really have to trim up any bio hair. If you have a longer hairline to be able to accommodate this one, i love the fact that it's a lace front and a left hand monofilament side. Part. These features are not wasted on this style. You can just take it off of the face very easily. Just with the brush of the hand, it just kind of stays that way it's very impressionable fiber and then, of course it has that left, monofilament side part. So this is a nice realistic, looking wig, it fits me beautifully, it's not going anywhere, and i just love messing with this, especially taking it off of the face and just really working those layers into some spiky do's. Here'S another pixie that i'm gon na find myself wearing a lot this year uh. This is cafe martini by belle tress in the color butter beer blonde, a nice kind of neutral to cool blonde shade. I absolutely love this. In fact, my hair, my natural bio hair, is cut exactly like this, a little bit a little bit longer at the front and on the top and then more or less uh really cropped on the sides and the back. So the front of this is only two inches, so it's a really really short uh front piece and then in the back at the nape, then it's only one and a half inches. So it is another one of those really short cropped pixies that you'll have to determine if it will work for you, but it's effortless to wear. Oh, my gosh it just it feels like nothing on and you just messier. It is the better it looks the wind could blow. It has beautiful, realistic features, a temple to temple, lace, front, left, monofilament part again, just as natural as it could be. Nice ear tab coverage on both of these belt truss pixies spiky layers. So the last one that i'm showing you today, um i'm just putting in with this grouping of pixie cuts, even though the fringe is pretty long on this piece, it's really short in the back, i always enjoy wearing it, particularly in the summer summertime. This is ignite by jon renau. It'S a cut in the color palm springs blonde fs, 17. 101. S18. I think - and it's just a very cool blonde. It'S very light it's perfect for summer and i catch myself reaching for this style a lot and there's a lot. We can do, let's see how it stacks up, uh to my uh tastes and preferences. So we do have a nice crown of five and a half inches here. There'S a big beveling effect on this style, a very high profile in the back that tapers down into about a two and a half inch nape beautiful, then the front. There'S an eight and a half inch french piece, and this wig does take a little bit of training to keep it out of the face. I just work it with the heat from my hands. I direction the root into the direction that i want it to go in and just keep repetitively moving it there there's so much. You can do to bring it away from the face and really play with that fringe. You can tuck the fringe. This is a lace, front, open top sides and back there's a lot of permatease on ignite, and you can really work that to your advantage. Thanks for joining me for this fun try on of some of the pixie styles that i'm wearing this year, you can find all of these styles and all of the available colors. I posted all of the links below so be sure to visit wig studio, one for all of your wig shopping needs, including all of these styles, except for the phoenix by amore that has been discontinued have a great summer. Everybody we'll see you next time on taz's wig closet at wig studio, one you

Full Face & Fabulous: What a fun video, Taz!!! I loved seeing all these pixies, absolutely perfect for warm weather! I really like the Ready for Takeoff and Jon Renau Ignite, just beautiful!!! I love these videos that showcase your favorites, so enjoyable to watch! Blessings my friend!!

Laura Denhart: I just love all of these pixie wigs! So chic!!

Nicki Dolce: You look great in all the pixie styles, Taz! Have a great summer in them!

Brenda Gregory Yuen: Pixies are my "go to" look as soon as the weather gets warmer (by Spring)! I'm loving my "Ready for Takeoff" in Shaded Biscuit and I find I get the most compliments when I wear her. I have a few others that I wear on the weekends when I'm not seeing clients (I don't want my hair to become a topic of discussion in-session)! Thank you for doing this type of review Taz. It's so timely for me and gives me a few other options to consider when it comes to Pixie-wearing weather. Take care!!!! I hope your son is doing well these days.

Ed Cox: I love the pixies!! I wear my hair short and easy for me to do. You look great in all of yours!!(Lynda)

Judy Bennett: What a great new crop of pixies!! Being just 5' tall, they give me an 'elfyn' look but that's ok. Love my old standards from years past: Perry and Jett from Estetica, Sky from Ellen Willie, little, spiky Billie in that cool pink shade by Noriko. Just checked out Wig Studio 1 and there are lots of sales going on with many pixies going under $200!! You have a great one, Taz!

Pamela Prescott: All the Pixies look wonderful you look so great in them Taz. They're easy for summer just throw on and go. You did such a great job of showing all these different wigs. Take care girlfriend

Rita: I like short hair wigs especially in summer. Phoenix by Amore looks very stylish. Thanks for showing, Taz.

Sandra G. McAlister: Love all the wigs Taz ...you look fabulous in every wig that you share with us. Have a bless day, sweetie!

Kaye Carter Mature Woman Daily Dose: Cute, I just love the pixie. Oh my goodness...Love all of them. You are the best at showing all. Sending hugs, prayers and kindness.

Dr. B W: Love how the wigs colors showed up in the video. Thanks for the excellent tips on picking out a pixie style based on measurements.

Jean Sanderson: I have the Ignite wig and like you l wear it the most. LOVE IT! I think my second favourite or even equal favourite is the Raquel Welch Ready For Take Off l think l am going to have to invest in this one, you make it look great and the other video where you style it is fantastic. UK watcher. I would love to own it, if you'd like to send it.... lol xxx

Laurie Schultes: My favorite is Millie by Noriko. I'm in my 60's so I don't care for the rocker chic back, but because it runs small and rides up the length in back gives me some extra to work with when recutting it. I was disappointed when they came out with Billie and it went too short for me. I'm not a petite woman so it was not flattering being so short in the back. But the layering and especially the bangs are really nice.

Galaxy Gal: All wigs are fun for me, yet Pixies take it up a notch... ☺️

Connie Feltman: Thank You TAZ! Loved the reviews!

lil poohbear: I have BT Cortado cut coming this week! I am looking forward to buying BT Cafe Martini and Energia...just amazing color in Butterbeer blonde! Nice vid Taz :)

Elaine Richter: I love your channel! Anytime I'm considering a new style, I check your channel to see if you have reviewed it!! Thank you for all the informative videos.

Photeine Loizou: Hi taz what an informative video.i like the RW wig and the ignite by jon renau.they are so cute and you can style them in diferent ways.thank you so much.

Suzanne Dawson: I LOVE that Phoenix wig! So sorry it’s discontinued! Im not a pixie gal, but wowee! I might have converted! At least for a day every once in a while. That is so hip and edgy looking. I would have put that at the top of my wish list! Can you think of another one that’s similar?

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Taz! I've never worn a pixie, although my very thin bio hair is in a short pixie. Maybe I just crave more hair, since mine is so thin! Love and blessings

Jackie Marsh: Love Pixies!! You Look Gorgeous in All These Wigs Sweet Friend!! I Have Evan, and Just Love Her!! Thank You For a Perfect Review as Always!' Love and Hugs!! XOXOXO

Nancy Farias: Yesterday I was searching for the best pixie for me. How timely is your video! I had watched your other pixie videos and am interested in the Belle Tress Cafe Martini. Does the Champagne With Apple Pie have a dark root?. My bio hair has always been very light, and although I like the realist look of rooted styles, the roots are always just too dark for me. Thanks for another informative video.

Suz: OMG, I love Phoenix....wow......shame it is discontinued! Looking beautiful in all them pixie's my friend xoxo

Denise Ranio: I like all of them! You look great in each of these.

Michele KT: One is just cuter than the next but Ready For Takeoff and Phoenix are over the top adorable!

Resa: Love the Raquel Welch but I just received the Jon Renau Ignite in the Palm Springs Blonde and I ADORE this wig! However, I have an odd shaped head as my circumference is a 22.5 and the rest of my measurements are petite to average! I'm such a weirdo! LOL But I did see a video by Godiva's Secret wigs on how to enlarge the circumference. I paid nearly $200.00 for Ignite and I certainly don't want to lose that money but I don't want to lose my new wig either! What would you do in this situation, Taz?

Eileen Langdon: Hi Taz. I am helping a friend to buy some pixie style wigs, and while I have learned a lot in the past four years, I never paid attention to pixie cuts because I like more length. One question I have is what do you do with your bio hair at the nape if it is not long enough to make a pony tail or clip it up but you also don’t want it peeking out. I heard you mention shaving yours. Is this the only solution? She is in her 80’s and I don’t think she would be able to shave the back of her hair.

Lydia Johnson: I like pixies, especially in the summer. I've been wearing them in the summer the last few years because they are so much cooler.

Wigged out Sisters: We love you and so enjoy your wig reviews and you are as pretty as can be

ChooseHappy Mc: Love seeing many styles in short time frame. Well I am going to have to go short living in TX.. Ugh our summers are 7 months. 80 in March with wig on already roasting.

Lana Leah: Awesome video, Taz!

Jarmom: Oh u look great in ALL of them! Sooo many choices, I get lost trying to figure out wat to get... mainly bc I can only buy 1.. andy taste always gravitates to the most expensive one that I can't have

Amy Rutherford-Close: So cute, love "ignite" the best. All so beautiful on you.

ABCD ABCD: Gorgeous!!

Suzanne Dawson: Taz, can you recommend a really good styling spray or cream that will make the fibers stay where you want them to go instead of always falling right back into the shape it had in the box?

Diane R-D: You look great in all of them.

gina: Great showing Taz!

AD Yipi: love the pixies! I have long hair, one day I'll get the courage!! Taz, wondering what is the wig, top shelf centre on your left shoulder ? I'd like to watch the review of it if you did one.

AJ Row: Adorable, Taz!

ABCD ABCD: Love them all!!! I need to pick one of all your short wig presentation in your videos and I cannot decide!! Voltage, Ready to Take Off, Sparkle, Winner, Cinch? What about Free Spirit, Fanfare, or Fascination?? Oh, please help, it would be much easier if I could try them on first...I learned so much from your videos, you are doing a fantastic job, plus you are gorgeous and everything looks great on you!

Billie Fox: I have been shy when it comes to pixie wigs because I have not found one that I felt I could feel comfortable in. I really like the the Raquel Welch one.

Carol Geissinger: I love it!

linda grills: I just found your channel, and I’m so glad I did. I am new to wigs. I have a couple of Toni Brattin, but would like a little nicer wig. I’m 64 and have fine, thin hair due to hereditary and hypothyroidism. What would you recommend as a nice, but not too expensive, wig for the hot and humid southern summer?

Deborah Luongo: Hi Tax, love the pixie especially the last one on you looks really great!. Is that a red wig in the background near the bag that you have on your rack? If so , what is the name of it and what is the color. Do you think you'll be able to do some reviews on red?Blondes always seems to be the big favorite , hardly any reds.

Suzanne Montigny: I would like something that has a young Mia Farrow look... Like the haircut she gave herself!

Ikn0wn0w: First START by Ellen Wille... now this one..... Amore Phoenix... discontinued. SO SAD.... both are exactly what I have been looking for,

Karla Pinkman: Beautiful

Robin's Wig Party: My faves are Ready For Takeoff and Ignite. About Ignite, can you suggest a similar style in front that is a bit longer in the back? Thanks Taz!

Terrie Severson: I’m really leaning towards Ready for Takeoff but I hesitate a bit because I too am petite/average like you are. Do you have to make a lot of adjustments and wear wig grips to keep it on ?

Cheri Walwyn: Show much is this one? Does it come in platinum ? Is it routed?

Iyndia Katour: Where did you purchase the stand for your wigs to display them on

Anna Pittin: Magnifiques!

Linda Gould: Taz could you please tell my about Meg in Jon Renau, and how I could go about buying it! I would like a light grey. Thank you

Get Wiggy: I ❤️ Ignite however I can’t keep her out of my face.....

Kathy Nietfeld: I don’t care for the color creamy blonde- it has a yellow tinge.

Karyn Bouhana: Any advice for people with kind of a flat back of the head? It’s hard to keep wigs from riding up and I feel this is even harder with short cuts.

WIGAMANIA: Short hair wigs lasts much longer. And looks better for over 50. My opinion.

Brenda Irwin: You are so pretty. T hanks for all your videos.

Charlys Hay: Doesn't the wig cap show through when the pixie has really short layers in the back?

Alex: Would be interested in hearing from people if they would wear a pixie with a less-than-perfect jawline. You know, sagging some.

Jan Pastien: How much are your pixie wigs ?

Bonnie Hancock:

StudioQ: Hi Taz! One quick question....in your TAZSWIGCLOSET photo of you above left in the circle, what wig are you wearing? Is that Evan?

Belgium Girl: Yeah!!! The pixies are here!

Lyn Thompson: Are the wigs hot to wear? I love them but just worried if they make you hot.

CHERIE C.: I am interested in the John Renau style of Natalie but in a gray color. But, do not believe it comes in gray. Can you suggest something similar?

Michèle Walther: Cafe Martini ❤️❤️

Linda Gould: Can you thin out a wig my ignite has to much hair. Thank you

Nana Nunn: Can i get this one ina dark brown?

Grammy Tap Dancing by Sharamay Ritter: Why doest anyone show putting wigs on wearing glasses?

GothLoliOVA: Pixie wigs more like karen wigs
