Hey everyone thanks Danny, I wanted to do a quick update, video on growing out a pixie, so I have been growing out my hair for pretty much exactly a year and a week, maybe two yeah yeah. I would say a year and two weeks - and this is my hair length now, so it's a little bomb. I have had a few hair cuts along the way and I'll talk you through kind of like the stages but I'll put in pictures and I'll talk about every single one of them, because I don't know if any of you have ever felt this after cutting a Pixie, but I seen as iconic I loved it and I panicked as well. Oh my god, my god. What am I done so I was on Google going how to grow out of pixie pretty much immediately. So I wanted to do my updates and kind of what products I was using and what I was doing to make my hair grow, not really anything special but like just what I was doing so I'll start with showing you. So this was about my hair. This is as short as it was and that looking at it now, it's really short and oh my god. It is so funny that I am actually wearing stripes on that video as well, but they're just the other way around, but yeah that hair was short jeez that was really short so stage one was total pixie. I wanted to cut all of that, like the dyed blonde hair out and start afresh with my own color hair for a number of reasons. It had kind of been ruined at the summer before when I went for a full bleach and they kept kind of like the heat on too long at the top of my head, and it was very bubblegummy. So I knew I wouldn't be able to like stick with that. Anyways and I also hadn't had my natural hair. Since I was 14, I was curious to see what it even was. I didn't know and um. I just wanted a pixie, so I went to the hairdresser a guy that I've never got my hair before. Did it and he was looking. Are you sure yeah? It'S hair? It will grow back, I'm not too worried. So it was the easiest thing in the world for the first couple of months. All I did was just wash condition and at the time I don't think I think I was using shampoo, Aveda, champey or shampoo and conditioner. I wasn't really using any styling products. Apart from what is the Aveda wax mm-hmm, the other, you know control paste, and this was my life for probably the first three or four months now. The only thing I was doing is my husband has hair clippers and he was literally cutting off just the back as it was growing because he grows into a mullet very quickly. So he was cutting that off and he was like, sometimes doing in a little rounded shape, sometimes in a more of me, sometimes straight whatever I felt like, but that was it. I wasn't touching the top at all. Now I have a natural way to my hair and it was coming up a lot more when it was like short, so it would really get wavy, and I just worked with that. I can remember when I first realized that oh, it was long enough to put my like a little clip and I'm so happy, because even though it's easy, I didn't use a hair dryer for two months, you kind of miss there isn't as much versatility. So I was kind of missing that and also I felt like I had to wear. I don't normally wear makeup everyday and I had to wear makeup everyday because I felt a little bit just boy. Yes, yes, I did contemplate putting on some funky colors in it, but then that would have kind of defeat. At the point I wanted to see what my real hair color was, which turned out not to be that interesting at all. My hair color is pretty much exactly the same as it was, and yeah it's not the most interesting hair color. Apart from the fact that you can easily die at whatever color that's the bonus of it. My hair type is relatively fine, there's a lot of it, but it's fine. The individual strands are just like super super fine, and I was worried that it wouldn't grow like fast enough for me. In the beginning I was taking biotin, I'm not sure if that made any difference whatsoever and then, when I run out of it, I just stopped it like. I was just like whatever I was I did also in the beginning I was using yeah. I was using castor oil a few times, but I hate the glue penis of it. I am using it for my eyebrows right now, but when you put it in your whole head like the rinsing out and blah blah blah, oh it was too much for me. So I decided to quit it with that my hair would go gon na either grow or not grow, and so the first time I cut it was not until nine months later like when I had an official haircut I'll, put some pictures of that as well. Yeah and it was like I was so excited - I had a few very, very subtle highlights, but they weren't even highlights really it just looked like the Sun had caught it a bit now. This is more recent. This is in December assisant December. No, this is like 1st 2nd of January. Sorry, it's not a member at all, but yeah. In September, I had a couple of tiny highlights and I felt like I had it cut into a shape so because the top layers needed to start catching up with the bottom layer and that's the pain when you are throwing your hair out is because it's all Growing at the same rate, so the bottom layers will kind of cut all to one length. The top layers still had a way to go to catch up and obviously my top layer. Now it's still not quite as long as the bottom layer. It was trimmed a little bit again, not really really lit up and my kind of top to put me stop going to the hairdresser. Don'T go all the time I think not going to the hairdresser for nine months. As long as I have ever gone, big money savings but just stop it, and it was great because the hairdresser's I went to to have my first cut and now I'm doing color with them and everything is was Peter Penny's in London and the girl. That did my hair. She really understood that I am growing it out, do not go in like and start cutting every single tiny bit. She she got where I was coming from. So that would that's good and then it was probably 1st of December around that time. That I went in for a fringe cup. I'M sorry, I need a friend I also at the time contemplated going darker. I didn't, but I really wanted a fringe because I felt like if I added fringe it would feel more like them. I don't know like a haircut and I felt like these layers were getting long enough and which they were, and then it felt like. I had a front of the hair and I'm back of there and I started doing like putting clips and hair and things like that. It just felt more natural that way, and I really have wanted to do kind of color. Let'S see how much you can see this kind of a little bit of BIOS for a long time, but because I have had different amounts of highlights and all of that it hasn't been really possible. So this I did, I think it was just 2nd of January. I felt like it was time I was actually gon na. Have my friend trimmed at the same time, but we got so excited, taking selfies afterwards done totally totally forgot, and now next steps for me are going to be. Basically, I think I'm going to throw my hair up to about here undecided if I'm gon na keep the buns for ages or not right. Now, I'm really liking them. I like the idea of bangs. I really do and also I think it has to do with. I was really obsessed with the series the sinner on Netflix. Anyone has seen it. Let me know, and Jessica Biel has really strong present on it, and I was like that rocks anyway, I tend to like hairstyles with fringes anyways and my forehead, I'm not in love with my forehead for a long time. I thought I can't go French because I have a low and wide forehead, but the French eyes perfectly - and you know, by the way when I say friend I mean bangs so in the UK people say fringe and American people say bangs yeah anyways. So what I recommend are you cut a pixie? Yes, absolutely if you're the patient type um, I dig em quite a patient person, so it is fine for me, cut the pixie and then wait for it to grow. I don't need it to row super fast. However, if you, you know, you need stuff to happen like this, don't cut a pix. It'S gon na take forever to grow it out, but at the end of the day it is only here it does grow back and if you're curious about stuff, like that, why not? I think a lot of people play it too, safe with their hair, and you know so many things in life are super super serious and with your hair, you should be able to play. So that is my two pennies worth and let me know what you think about pixie cuts below and let me know if you've ever had fun, and I will see you again next week, thanks for watching bye,

TurquoiseWaters: I have always shared the same opinion —- it’s only hair! So many women get stuck in a rut of keeping the same hairdo they’ve had for 40 years. It gets so outdated.

Sailing SoulMate: Actually, the pixie looked amazing and showed off your stunning facial bone structure! Really gorgeous!

Marie: I really liked the pixie cut on you, the bob & fringe looks very pretty as well. I had a pixie cut when I was 20 which I kept for a year or 2 and have had my hair middle length since then - more than 10 years. We all have preferences when it comes to our hair but it's much more fun to try something new once in a while

Jenn B.: Your pixie was adorable!!! I had the Gennifer Godwin pixie over the summer and it was a ton of fun and so easy (I have baby twins, so easy is a must when it comes to hair). I’ve grown out the front and kept the back kind of neat and we’ll see where that goes. It is only hair and it does grow back.

lalvarezromano: I think you looked very pretty with the pixie cut!

Jocelyn Josue: I had a pixie cut for five years and I really loved it. It was so easy to manage with just a little bit of product. But in early 2017, I decided to start growing out. I had one cut in April ‘17 and another inn Sept ‘17. Now, my hair is all one length at shoulder level. I think I will get a pixie cut again in the future, but I’m enjoying the hair I have for now. Thanks for sharing your story.

Melly Brown: Hi I have to say you looked stunning with it super short, really showed off your shape of face and head!!...made your features pop too!! ❤

TurquoiseWaters: You really can do all kinds of hairstyles! I really love how it looked when it was super short. But I think chin to shoulder length is my favorite on you. What did you husband think of the pixie? So many men only want women to wear long hair which bugs me! My husband actually prefers mine shorter because it suits me better.

Thursday Dvali: Ahhhh, I'm growing out a buzz cut, and the wait is the worst!

Vicky Hamilton: I have had a pixie cut for almost 25 years and have decided to grow it out to shoulder length. I'm in my 50's so I can get away with curling my hair NUT not a perm it's only been 2 months so far and man it's hard but I can't wait for it to grow out!

Jane Milroy: Love your hair like this, no shorter and no longer! I had a pixi cut and the moment it was done I was in shock... I found it hard work and I too have wavy hair! I am with longer bob and shaped at front and back straight cos it’s easier to keep it blunt at back with wavy hair x

HurricaneHetta: I've had pixie cuts before. One drawback for me is that once it starts to grow out it doesn't look so cute. However, after a while, you realize it's just hair and it's growing. Just roll with it. I recently cut about 14 inches off of my hair. It's about your length but short on one side long on the other. It was initially a side shave. I actually like this edgy style for myself even though, I've let the side shave grow out a bit and I think it looks better. I trim it up myself and my husband helps with the back ;)

Leonie O'Mahony: Just what I needed to watch. I'm four months in and I'm trying my very very best to make it through at least another few months. Scarves(and determination) have saved me from chopping it all off.

misstw89: This popped up in my recommendations. You honestly looked amazing at each stage!

Kim W: I’ve been growing out my natural grey hair colour (I’m 41) for a year and I just had all the remaining old dyed hair colour cut off but now it’s super short! It looks okay but it’s shorter than I’m comfortable with so I’m going to grow it out. Can’t wait for another few months to pass so it resembles something that I’m happier with! ❤️

Noemi Hartmann: I loved your pixie! I think it looks amazing. I did a grown out pixie in the back of my head with it longer on the front... like how robin wright had it a few years back, if that makes sense. Anyways it’s almost completely grown out and now I have a short bob as well. I decided pixie cuts aren’t for me. Great video :)

TMC: I LOVE ❤️ your hair in the first short picture, it looked BEAUTIFUL on you!

Cath Nailtheday: I got my hair cut into a proper pixie and I HATE IT your video has inspired me to grow. Grow. Grow xx

Rachael Faris: I love my short hair, but have a year to grow it out for my best friend’s wedding. Your video definitely gave me some encouragement. It’s such a long, painful process! Thanks for posting!

Regina Myers: Your pixie is gorgeous ! Just came across this trying to grow out mine too.

katherine cuthrell: Last summer I was working at our local garden center and it was so hot. I had my hair cut in a pixie. I loved the low maintenance. I wear short hair anyway, but I hadn't had my hair that short since I was a little girl.(My mom has always been a big fan of the pixie) Not sure I will cut it that short this summer, but you never know. It can be very hot here in TN. Love your videos!

melovesthemusic: Bangs look so good on you! I really love them but my hair naturally falls weird at the front so if I get bangs I have to style it like crazy every day, so sad. I totally agree with your little speech at the end, I know alot of people who are scared to cut their hair and because of that have the same style their whole life. It's so fun to try new styles tho and yes it grows back!

Cin Ma: Wow you looked amazing with your pixie! And u look amazing with the darker brown color. It goes so well with your skin tone. It brings out your facial features. You rocked it so well.

David Emma: Growing out a pixie at the moment- have been trying to grow out since February but two hairdressers got scissor happy and chopped into it despite me telling them I want to grow it out! UK lockdown has meant I’ve no choice but to let it grow out as it wants and I’m currently rocking a mullet! can’t wait to have a bob again!!

Katherine Ellis: I’m on month 8 of growing out a pixie! I hope in 4 months I am to your length!

DubMass11: I chopped off my hair a few months ago to a pixie cut. I absolutely love it but do miss my long hair, so I’m now growing it back. I hate the mullet look, though. And I find it’s growing rather quickly around my ears. Never in a million years did I think I would cut it so short! I experienced postpartum hair loss and didn’t want to deal with it anymore...so glad I went for it though. :)

Snuppeline: Omg! You looked so young and fresh with that pixie cut! i have had a really short pixie for 26 yrs, but now I’m growing it out. Yeah not! I’m at 2 months now and it looks like hell. Going to cut my mullet on friday. Yeah. I don’t even know if I look good with longer hair, I’m so used to short, but I’ll just have to try.

scatterbrained: You looked stunning in the super short pixie, but I have a preference for short hair and think most women look better with shorter hair. It somehow lifts up the face in general, and most people, whether women or men, do not have beautiful enough hair to wear long, which to look its best should be thick and glossy with a good cut along the bottom so the ends are pretty. The longer it is the more outstanding it should be and the higher the standards. Plus, sometimes girls with long hair wear it up in a bun or back in a ponytail, not generally good looks in my opinion.

Jenn S.: I like certain short hairstyles on myself but it seems that finding a stylist who will listen and not go their own direction is my problem 2 December's ago, I needed it cut and it was growing out pretty well; until it wasn't. When I left, my hair was crazy short AND I had a business trip the next morning!!! I'm still working with a sort of sling bob at the ears but this may be as long as it gets. You look gorgeous with short, long and in-between!

MsBibiMuneca: You looked so stunning with the pixie! I guess any haircut would look beautiful on you. I go through pixie fazes for the last 20 years. I'll cut it and rock it for 3/4 years then grow it super long, then cut it for 3/4 years. Lol, I'm planning on starting a family so I'm growing it out now. I will try not to cut it for the next 6 months. No bangs, no nape cutting because I'm dying to add extensions. Fingers crossed XOXO

SusanJo: Your pixie was adorable and I've liked every transition...you're just a beautiful lady so that's a fact!! I just don't have the head shape or face for that short but would love it.

Didí Dylan - Peña: You are so gorgeous! I want that exact bob hair style I'm growing out a blonde pixie after having it for over 13 years!! Have no idea if I'll be able to hold on and let it grow...going out of my confort zone for sure. I also went back to my natural hair color...

Valerie Martinez: I got a pixie cut in Oct of 2016. I started growing it out and I cut it again around June 2017 went through a phase of very short boy hair. And I started growing it out again jan 2018, I then got an almost bowl sort of hair cut in Oct. 2018. And I'm currently growing my hair out once and for all. My hair still has layers that need to catch up to eachother but id describe my hair right now as a pixie bob. The back has layers and is shorter than my front and sides

Tay: I have a shaved undercut pixie. Meaning both sides are shaved and I have a little bit of hair at the top. I always had long hair and took the leap several year to cut 10inches off! I miss being able to style my hair different ways, and have decided to grow out my pixie. Wish me luck!!

simplykimbalance: I really like the pixie cut on you! Suits you big time! Coming from someone who would love a cut like that but would probably wouldn’t suit it like you.

Heather Stream: I've had and loved a pixie now for the last 3-4 years. However for as low maintenance as people think it is, it is not because it does grow fast. Funny though that when you want short hair it grows too fast but when you want to grow it out it takes forever. Looks lovely all ways by the way!

Wendy Fiolek: Growing out a pixie. Feels like it’s been forever. Have worn a pixie forever so it’s time for a new look. I’m almost 50. My beautician said hair grows slower as you get older. Hard to be patient, but I’m hanging in there trying to focus on the end result.

Janie Pecina: i did the same thing after my pixie it hit me OMG! ITS SHORT! and i Googled ... how to grow a pixie and here i am... thank you for your advice .

Green Woman: Your pixie cut looked darling!!

Clean Eating Kitchen: I'm just getting started! I can't wait until I can do a ponytail again. I miss my long hair.

Morton Vizner: Love the longer look!

Sphinx 101: I've started using henna again, not used it for years! Forgotten how much it conditions and thickens hair. They have new colours theses days too, blonde or colourless. I'm going to keep using it just for shine and hair health, cheaper than deep conditiners too.

Lucy Elly: Castor oil is great for eyebrows but yeah it’s too much for the hair xx love this look on you ❤️

Cindy P: My natural hair color is EXACTLY the same as yours (mousy blonde I would say?) It is also fine, but I have a good amount of it too. I always wish I had better hair- thicker, less tangle prone, and a different color. I make due with it- I often wear a bob with side swept bangs. I am lucky enough to have have a huge cowlick in the front so straight bangs are not an option for me (although I love them). You looked so adorable with a pixie cut! Very few people can pull it off, but you rocked it!!!

Queens65: I have had everything from a pixie to permed curly hair and now I have my hair like yours and just go from chin length or to the top of my shoulders. Also , as I have gotten older, I have a lot of gray hair so I color my hair. I do think about how I will maybe let it go gray one day when I'm a lot older. Problems, problems, problems. L.O.L.

Jacey Nicks: Not as far as you but I cut a fringe for the same reason! It felt like I have a real haircut not sure if I should have done the fringe or not but it's here!

Nat Nat: You should have kept it for 6 months, looked amazing short! I've had mine for 18 months and growing it out

durienne olivia: i started growing out my pixie in december, and i never had a problem with how it looked until now!! i just want it to finish growing before school starts in september. im going to try castor oil

Gabi Maza: Yeah I hate the growing out process. I’m in that stage where the top of my hair is super short and the bottom is long aka mullet and I hate it. I just put hats on lok

Marswmn whoever: I have 3B or something like that hair is curly. It takes a great amount of talent and know how. There is no reason if hair is cut straight it wont grow out straight. I know Ive cut it before myself and people that know how have also had the results for me it would grow out straight. I want no layers in my hair until it gets long again. My philosophy is short hair is for men. I hate my hair but it was necessary to get it all even to prove my point and get it back to good. I went and graduated from beauty school I do know what I am talking about. Thank you for this video.

Melanie Saldana: I have had numerous pixies and am thinking of doing it again. With a great stylist it can be less painful to grow out.

MissMargaret: Now that I have grown out my natural color I hate the idea of coloring it.  It has deepened to such a dark brown that a nice contrast to my skin tone.

Martina Campbell: I loved your pixie cut x your Bob is really cute too x

SK (AKA Noir): Lovely video!! <3

Caroline Chalue: I’m currently growing out a pixie, I’m almost to a very short bob , I started growing mine out in September 2017 , I shaved my head in October 2016

Gio Cervantes: all of this is my eaxt situation. I cut because it was damaged and I kind of wanted one. Right away I also wanted to grow out the pixie cut because oh boy do I feel boyish. I don't wear makeup often but I too have now begun to wear it every day because I already dress tomboyish so the haircut was not helping.

ravit reitman: boy your hair grew fast !!!! love the bang :)

SimplyC100: That first pic was gorgeous

Mandypendie: I have gone form bob/shoulder length to short for three times now. I have it short for two years or even longer now I feel like having a french bob again so I am growing it out and oeeeeh it is short. Probably shorter then you started and I have been to the hairdresser for almost two months

movi3srock: You look great in bangs!

Life With Kathey: Oh I thought your short haircut was adorable I hope you enjoyed it while it was super short. I wished you had more pictures of the actual growing out process but I know how it is nobody wants to take pictures of their hair. I'm at the stage now where I really need to get it trimmed but I'm terrified they will just cut off my hair again. I moved to a different state and I really don't have one I can trust

Monica Daniell: I love when people think the hair on the back of the head is longer than the top layers of hair when growing from a short cut

Maria Laine: Thanks for the video :) I'm in between growing my hair and trying to decide weather to grow more or stay where I'm at now... By the way - are you Finnish? You sound and look like a Finn :)

Opal Reed: I’m at the mullet phase and I’m DYING!!

Juan Bravo: I just got one for my daughter...so you just cut the back while it is growing so it doesn't become a mullet? Do you have more in between pics?

Mimsy: aghhhhhhhhhhh I want my hair to grow back out. I had long hair, then a pixie, then a shorter pixie, and now I want to grow it out to a shoulder length bob and I'm hating waiting. It's at that awkward uneven stage where some stay out from tucked behind my ears, some stick straight up in the back, like I'm from runts, etc. ughghgeiugheiugheiu

Miss Mez: I need to know what makeup your'e wearing in this video?? All of it! Can you do a video if how you got this look I love it x

cock_cat: I cut a whole undercut, completely around my head. I regret it. Ive had it over a year. I kept cutting it. And my hair grows so slow. I just want it to be long again

Lucy Elly: I have your length now and trying to grow it out and it feels like it takes forever. Is mane n tail really helpful or is that a scam? Does anyone know much about mane n tail?

Hellen: That pixie cut is ridiculously good looking on you

StarlingofAzerath: Hahahaha. I have been trying to grow it out for years. This year is gonna be it. Haha. Hopefully

Ana Ximena Burgos: With all due respect you looked sooo much better with the pixie, so much younger and enlighten ... hope you go back to the pixie some day

Carla Bainter: Never cut ur hair short!! I made this mistake twice! Only because I ruined my hair from over processing. Now months later after cutting my poodle perm out of my hair! My hair seems to be growing so dam slow. I know it's not but it seems like it. I just want long hair again. No more perms, or colors again!

Nicole Kiel Kiel: Omg I love that pixie on you, so much nicer if I may say, younger and fresher... No offence though ❤️✌️

Michelle Simmons: I think your pixie cut gives you a more youthful look :-)

Illiana Kovalenka: Your bangs are very flattering. This was interesting

Susana V: yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!! thanks Sanni, i was expecting this!!!

IamVee: The mullet this is the hardest & I have a lot of hair.. a mix of waves & curls.. I like the cut besides that part. But I keep cutting it off. Thanks for sharing.

One of those Creative types: Honestly the brunette pixie looks better on you than your current bob with bangs....I thought the pixie was gorgeous.

vitural.virgo: So? Grow out the front, trim the back until its workable?

Brittanie D.: You’re adorable

Alexa M.: you look much younger with pixie

Poggie King: Pixie cut suits you a lot... I've cut my hair into slop cut and under cut.. Now how many years will take my hair to grow ...

Deanie: Your pixie is my goals.charlize Theron

roxi: I just got a short hairstyle and I absolutely hate it. I'm looking up videos to try to get my hair to grow longer..

プラスレイ: I hate my hair it’s so short i look like a boy than my bf I’m trying to grow it out but the hairdresser keep messing it up still on the same length for half a year I’m never going to the salon

Alejandra Cuevas: That pixie fs made u look bad ass

Phil: You look better with the pixie!

Ken Kaneki: I cut my hair as short as hers. 4 months later it's to my chin. Guess my hair just grows super fast

Leighann McGowan: My pixie looks so bad ughhh I have to wear wigs

Name: What is your accent? It’s lovely

Chacha B: I can’t place your accent, where are you from?

chrissy wissy: You sound American but sometimes you sound English!!!!

mm ss ss mm: My 3 month pixi equals your year old pixi

Sarah MacKenzie Elvis and Priscilla: thanks

Cinnematic: So much talking w/o pics. No good
