Oh, my goodness, guys we are at 5k. Thank you so much for all your love and support. Okay guys, so i decided to redo this video because i had so many questions about how did i cut my hair? What was the process? What did i do with the hair after i cut my hair, so this is just a quick tutorial, showing you guys how i cut my hair and also wanted to give you guys tips for if you decide to cut your own hair tips on how to do So this is five years of growth from a short bob that i had cut my hair into in 2016, and this is 2021 me cutting my hair. So for this look, i am going for a short pixie cut short around the sides in the back and a little bit longer in the front. You definitely want to section out your hair first one because it helps create a guideline two. If you mess up on one side, you won't mess up the whole thing. I am taking one of my lock to create a guide and i'm going to use that to cut the entire um, my entire hair, with that one guide and as you move along your guide moves with you, but you have that guide. Initially, my shears, i am using hanzo shears h-a-n-z-o. These shears are expensive, baby, japanese steel. I think i believe i got mine for about 600 to 700 for my shears, so yeah girl. I just cut that first piece. I am feeling good. I am feeling light got that section cut. This is the last piece of that section that i am going to cut and, as you can see, i am continuing to use my guide now when you're getting ready to cut the other side. You always want to make sure you check her balance, balance with the locks or hair, so measure feel for it usually just slide your fingers down the shaft of the lock that will kind of help you to see. Now, with this side, i don't know if you guys will notice, but this side i cut it a little bit longer than the other side slightly, but hey it still look good. Well, i went wrong. My fingers were arched down on that side, so the top part was a little bit longer. The bottom part the length is fine, but the top part was a little bit longer. Oh well, once i'm all done it's gon na blend in so it was hard to tell that i screwed up, but you guys get the picture a lot of the back. I can't see, but a lot of it is just you're just feeling for it. I have a guide, so i just feel until i reach my guide and use that to know when to cut my hair, so some of it i'm able to see some through the mirror. The rest, i'm just doing it by touch by you, know just using that as my guide and making sure i don't cut myself with the shears, hmm um, oh my goodness, the back is done. I am already feeling light, so i've already cut the one side of the top cutting the other side, so the top, because i wanted it longer - i just gradually made it longer as i was cutting and so, as you can see, you'll see how i'm doing it On the other side, okay, the cut is done. Oh my god, you guys, i loved it from the jump. Okay, so light. When i cut my hair or anyone's hair, i like to make sure that it can be worn on either side it needs to flow. I need to see movement and i am getting all of that movement and everything, so this was a successful haircut. So what did i do with the hair that i cut off? So when i posted this, my haircut on instagram, someone messaged me and asked me what am i doing with the hair? I'M like i don't know he's like. Do you still have the hair i'm like yeah, and so he offered to purchase it from me, and i said okay, and so i sent him a picture of the hair because i had sectioned it into bundles. Yes, i had bundles just to keep it organized, not necessarily ready for to sell it, but just to keep it organized, and so he was okay. Well can i have um the longest one, the longest hair i had was 18 inches. He said i can. I offer you 700 for the longest one. I'M live for 700 i'll, give you the whole day. So i sent him everything for 700. That'S how much i sold my locks for yes. So it was a success. This is how i wore my hair um after cutting it. I did different styles. I did pipe cleaners, i did rollers. I did bantu knots. I did braid outs right here. I did crinkles um, i did twist outs, and so i did. I pretty much had fun with my hair, and so i encourage you guys if you're thinking about change, switching up your journey have fun with it. It'S a journey. It'S a lifestyle, so have fun with your hair and enjoy every bit of it. Okay, whether you want to keep it long, keep it short, have fun, um,

Ayeshia Whitehead: It turned out really good! I had anxiety the whole time she was cutting though . I love rocking a short hairstyle, but I'm currently trying to get length for more versatility.

Nap Freedom215: Lovely!!! This is me already, starting my locs from undercut and shaved sides. Sides and back about 3-4 inches. Everywhere else is like 12 inches. Unrelated questuon, when doing diy twists locs, what direction should I be twisting in? Left/right, clockwise/counter clockwise?
