Hi jamie jenkins, here, sam via ambassador and today i want to share with you all how i do a nice, sleek, braided ponytail, all right. So the first thing i'm going to do is i'm going to sleek her hair out with sandia sleeker. What i love about the sleeker is that it has different um temperature gauges so that you can protect the hair, love the flexibility in it and how it just sleeks. It really really nice sleeks that hair really really nice, because she has texture, hair, highly textured hair. I want to sleek it out, because i want her ponytail to have longevity. What i also love about this is that it goes as high as 410 with the temperature gauge and it will automatically cut off if you forget to turn it off. That is a plus, because i am that girl that sometimes forgets the plus to turn her tools off all right. So now that we have sleeped her really really really nice all right. I'Ve taken her hair and i have put it into sections okay, so i put her pony and i had three sections. I had one sub section here, another subsection here and then i i'm building her ponytail. So i put elastic bands around the first subsection, and then i connected this next subsection here and so what i'm going to show? You is how i connect my very last sub section to make this ponytail nice and sleek. That is so important when you're doing a ponytail. It'S a sub section! It'S going to give you longevity! It'S going to make sure it's no pull and wear and tear on that ponytail and that hair and she is going to love you because it's not going to be too tight or anything of that nature and you don't have to keep doing it. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to take a little edge control. You can use whatever edge control you desire, um, and i am going to apply it to her hair, okay and i'm applying it at the root and around the hairline. Because remember, i want it to be a nice sleek, look! Okay! So then i like to take my tail comb, my sanvian tail comb. What i do love about this tail comb is that it has that little space right there. So when i was going in getting my parting together, it was very easy for me to make sure my parting was nice and clean. So i'm taking my tail comb and i am combing to sleep that out. I want any any bumps or lumps i want it. A nice sleek look, nice sleek, look and, as you can see, i'm going in and of course i like the little hair left out just softens the ponytail a bit and i'm going to go in and i am connecting this pony and i love using my end Of my telecom to help control, i love the control and i'm going to connect this pony right in here. Okay and as you can see, it's nicely connected, and so after i've nicely connected, it have all the smooth, nice and smooth i'm going to take my samvia artist series board, brushall nylon, um brush and i'm going to just ensure that i have a nice smooth finish. Okay, it's a touchable softness. What i love about it all right, so we are connecting our pony. You see nice and flawless, we've connected it put your head back, so they can see awesome and then we're going to take an elastic band and i like to sometimes see take a nice elastic band and i'm going to connect this last sub section with the others. With my elastic band - and i am going over it about two times and as you can see, it's nicely connected make sure you can see really well go to the side nicely connected, then i'm going to finish it off with some type of hairspray. Okay and after i use my hairspray, i am going to freeze this my artist series blow dryer, which i absolutely love. I love the motor in this thing. I love the handle of how i can hold it, it's very comfortable. For me, it has three different. Three different heat settings and it just gets the job done so i'm going to lightly go over and i will freeze that with some heat freeze it nicely. Let me show you awesome and, as you can see, i use um low heat and i'm just going to make sure i finish that off and then i'm going to come back in with my sleeker, and i am just going to get that. I'M going to give it a nice curl just so i can have some soft um a softer hairline and i love doing that as you can see, and so now we are finished with the sleekness of the pony, nice, sleek, hair, and so now what we're going To do is, we are going to add hair, we're going to add some nice braiding hair, get it from your local, blue beauty, supply store, and i have one two, two bundles of it and on the top you see i have my rubber band and i keep My rubber band on it so i can have control because, what's going to happen, is i'm going to go on and i'm going to take these rubber bands and i'm going to apply it and attach it to my pony, which i'll do that wrap it around twice To make sure it's nice and secure and as you can see, i have that hair for that pony. Okay. So now, what i'm going to do is i'm going to leave a subsection out of the attached hair, not her hair, the attached hair that we added the braiding hair and i'm going to place this right on top and i'm going to leave that there for later. On okay, then, i'm going to come in and i'm going to do a traditional flat. Okay, when i say traditional flat, three strand flat show you go in i'm gon na split it in three ways: three sections - and i am including her hair with it. Her hair is underneath of it, so, as you can see her hair is there and it's underneath of it, so i'm gon na go in. Sometimes i like to put a little product on my hands just to maybe give me some slip. Some grip make sure it's nice and shine and i'm going to go in and i'm going to plait. So i have a section one two and three, and i am taking section three and i'm placing it under in the middle of section one and two okay. Then i am taking section one and i'm going to place it under through the middle of section two and three and i'm going to keep doing that with tension and as you can see, her hair is right here. Whenever i see her hair, i'm going to tuck it behind that braiding hair just to ensure that we are covering it up and we do not see it. Okay, so we're going down and we're just doing a traditional braid flat and we are going to keep going down until we complete this braid and if you have any flyaways anything you can always take product and lay that hair down to give it a nice. Sleek. Look that you want okay, we'll keep doing that going down. Remember, tuck, any hair that you see that's out if you want to, or you can add product as well, i like to do both i like to tuck and i like to add a little product and, depending on how long you want this plaid you at this Time where we are where i you see, i have a little left over. If i want it any longer, i would add more hair. So what i would do is, i would add, more hair take some of the braiding hair. As you can see, and i'm going to place it underneath on my pointer finger. You see that pointer finger, i'm going to hook it everybody say hook, hook, you're going to hook it on that pointer finger. I hear y'all hooking and then we are going to blend it with our braids. So this hook it hooked it in there. So now i can continue my plaque and hook that braid in so we're going in we've already hooked our braid in and see it's blending in very well, so we'll do a few more flats flat plaid going down and then what i'll do is i'll add one More i'll probably add one more piece just to make it a tad bit longer and make sure that the ends are. Even when i end and remember, i am hooking that hair on my pointer finger and splitting it so that it can be braided with the rest of the hair. Okay, so we're gon na go all the way down until we finish plaiting the hair, which is so much fun and then what we'll do afterwards is we're going to add some fun embellishments to it, and she is the party girl. So she is going to be ready to hit the town for sure she's going to be ready to hit that tail. Okay, so we're going to finish plaiting finish plating all the way i just want to make sure y'all can see that plaiting the hair. So now i'm going to turn it this way. Just so you all can see i'm still plaiting, but i want you all to see the ends, and so you see how this piece is longer than the rest, and this one is short, i'm going to borrow some hair from right here to make it even oh. Did you see that nice, and even so we're going to go in and we're just going to plat flat till we get all the way to the end now say if you don't want to plat all the way to the end, you don't have to say if You want to leave some of this hair out. You can definitely do that as well. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to go to a right about here and then i'm gon na say i want some of this hanging. I want some of it hanging so without then i'll do is i'll. Take a piece of the hair and i'll just tie a piece take another piece on the other side. So i have two pieces. You see, there's two pieces. There we go, you can see it. I'M just going to tie it in a knot, i'm going to tie it in a knot and then i'm going to tie it in another knot to secure it. Two pieces tying in a knot and lock that in that way, and then that way, we'll seal the deal at the end with um some some hot water, we take some hot water and what that will do is that will lock in that braid. Okay, see nicely. Okay, so we'll leave that so then remember we got girlfriend up here that we left right. So we have our nice braid and i want to spray a little more hairspray right in here just to make sure she is in here and she's, nice and sleek. Then i'm going to take this piece that i left out, because we want a natural look and so i'm going to take some hairspray and i'm going to spray it nicely. Okay, then i'm going to take my sandia artist brush and i'm going to brush in that hairspray to make sure it's evenly distributed. Then i'm going to come around and i'm going to wrap this on the base of the ponytail around in a circle to the model to the left. Maybe your right and i'm just going to keep wrapping it around until we completely and as i'm wrapping, i'm going to stop in the middle of some of it and i'm going to spray my hairspray, because we want to freeze that in there okay, we're going to Freeze that in there so we're wrapping wrapping wrapping it around until we end it and then we're going to lock it in there and we're going to take a tail comb and we can clean it up if we need be spraying and what i love is once You spray it and you freeze it with the blow dryer. You freeze it with your blow dryer, you don't even need any hair pins, you don't even need any hair, pants and then last. What i'm going to do is i'm going to take some little embellishments that have some different um hair on um embellishments. I put hair pins on it and i'm going to stick it in the braid and that's just going to make a nice fun braid, where she's having a little fun and i love jazzing up. I love accessories for sure accessories are my go-to. I just feel like sometimes it makes a hairstyle and, as you can see, i just added those and she is ready to hit the town, absolutely love it alright, so my name is jada jenkins again. Remember i use the zambian sleeker. I use the artist series brush. I even use the artist series professional blow dryer to sleek her hair. I use my tail comb and my clips to get this job done. Nice sleek braid that she can have fun with hit the town we added some embellishments. I hope you enjoy have a great day.
