Pixie Haircut Transformation: Lisa'S Before And After

Aloha to today’s Pixie Parade transformation, Lisa, who comes to us all the way from Hawaii. Her contagious, happy energy is something I wish I could bottle up and add to my DDP everyday. It’s always so fun to transform someone who is this excited about getting a pixie. She wanted to maintain her Hawaiian low maintenance vibe with her new style. Challenge accepted! To achieve this with her thick wavy hair, I opted for a longer pixie—or faux pixie—as a shorter style would have been a lot of work to style daily. This pixie transformation really accentuates her cute, spunky personality. We tried out a few different styles so she could see how easy it is to change it up. I hope this answers the questions I get from you girls with thick, wavy hair. I did have to be very meticulous with thinning it out and I texturized it A LOT, but we got the look we were going for. This is a great style for those of you who are timid about a pixie, so try this length first before you commit to a shorter style. What do you think about this before and after? Whippy Cake: What's up you guys, It's Whippy Cake today.! I have Lisa with me and guess what we're doing Lisa New haircut. Lop of hair. Whippy Cake, Pixie parade., So Lisa here has traveled from afar.. Tell us where you're from. Lisa - So I am actually originally from here, but I live in Hawaii now.. I'Ve been there for a year. I'll, be there for a couple more years: yeah. Whippy Cake. So in trade I get to come stay with her and I'll cut. Her hair. Lisa Clearly. Sure why not Whippy Cake No, but so in Hawaii right, you kind of need. You want style, but because of the weather, I think you kind of need. Lisa Yeah. Whippy Cake, Something that's easy to maintain. Lisa. So I've kept my long hair for a long time there, because it definitely goes well with the freestyle surfer vibe. Everyone. There does kind of have the very wavy long low maintenance, never cut hair, but you can only do it for so long before it just doesn't work anymore. And my hair is so thick and there's so much of it that it's I'm cutting it. Whippy Cake And She has the natural wave to it, so I think always helps with shorter hair. So I'm excited and you probably can't tell our secret. Lisa Yeah - I have a little baby bump too so or baby baby bump. So I think that's probably another reason. I'M going towards number two here and I run a business fulltime. So maintaining a lot of hair is the worst.. You have to spend so much time. On. Whippy Cake, Yeah, amen., Lisa, Yes., Whippy Cake, So we're going to actually we were talking about this. It'S a very long pixie that we're going to do. It's kind of like a faux pixie.. It'S actually going to be kind of like a modernized bob, but that can be styled to look like a pixie just because, because of her lifestyle., We don't want to go so short with her. Thick hair will be really high maintenance if it's too short.. So for those of you who might criticize that it's a authentic pixie., It's we're aware., It's a long, pixie. Just go with it.. It'S going to be fun.. It'S going to look good and it's my party. I can do what I want. Lisa Amen. Whippy Cake. So let's get started. Whippy Cake, Alright guys. So that is a wrap and I mean a short wrap because girl you got pixied. Lisa, I love it. Whippy Cake Show them your door. Prize. Lisa Two small animals that are shedding all over. Whippy Cake, I'll help you out there. Lisa, That's a lot of hair. Whippy Cake. That is a lot of hair., And you obviously saw how much this left on the floor. Even after those big fat pony tails and the best part of all, she didn't tell her husband that she was coming to cut all of her hair off., So we texted him during and he's anticipating what it will look like.. I can't wait to hear. Lisa. He was really sweet about it, but still surprise Whippy Cake. You can tell that her hair is really thick really curly, so we had to put in a little bit more time and effort to kind of really be meticulous, but because of that now her hair will be a lot easier to style.. We were able to do some fun little just variations on her style with little to no effort, and that's all because her haircut has got some unique texture to it.. It will help. Lisa. I feel free to be me, again. Whippy Cake. So just know if you do have really thick hair, your actual cut will take a lot of work.. You want to make sure that you thin it out texturize it quite a bit.. I mean I would get in there and I'll be like. Oh, no, that's good.! No, not good more more more so, but I think that was it and I love it., You love it Lisa. I think I love it., I feel freed., I feel sophisticated.. I feel younger and more playful.. I love it., I feel like I will be able to do something different and fun with it everyday and feel really great. Feel like I'm reinvigorated. Whippy Cake. Well, thank you for letting me express myself creatively through your hair. Lisa. I love it. Whippy Cake. I know. There'S some viewers out there who are really strict on what is defined as a pixie.. I still think it's a pixie., It's a long transitional pixie and I think it's great for people who aren't quite sure if they're ready for full on pixie. So maybe try messing around with a longer length or longer in the front short in the back, until you're ready to actually go really really short. But anyways. Thank you guys. So much for watching. A few months ago I got an asymmetrical bob and now that it's growing out it's become a disaster and I have been very self-cautious.
