Have fun and thanks for watching. Please share this clip with anyone that loves to cut hair.

Hello, everyone, my car here today, I'm going to share with you a really super, exciting haircut, it's a short hair haircut and, as we all know, cutting short hair, I find it's actually more difficult than cutting actually longer hair. Why well? The shape has to be right. First and foremost, the proportions have to be right and then, of course like in this case, it's lighter has blonder. Hair is as more cutting lines you see, so you need to work very thorough. What is almost important is by cutting the hair short when cutting hair short or all depends. How short we will go is check out someone's airline side front and the nape of the neck as well. What'S also super important is, especially as older person gets, as in generally the hair gets shorter, make sure it still looks feminine before we're going to start with the haircut we're going to just add a little bit of color perfect. We want to make the hair more pliable, I'm going to take sections here on the side right by the curvature zone off the head and we're starting our haircut here on the side, we're taking a diagonal section and using my cork shear k-11 Royale, going over the Same section, a couple of times and shortening next section name again bring it here to the guide, follow the guide. Now, why am i using my que llevan Royale? That'S my strongest, most aggressive six and a half inch texturizing shear. There is the reason why I'm using this particular series is. I don't want any solid, complete harsh lines to pick up, so I like that texturising feel to it and by the rate, whoever doesn't feel comfortable on cutting this all the way completely dry. You can spray it down a little bit. This is entirely up to you. Okay same thing: on the other side, diagonal section now recording the contours, push it forwards here in the ear back cut around here and all these little bits and pieces here throughout the outline here, the the hairline. Just you know you can share overcome those you can just kind of, like you know, cut it off with the tip of your of your K, 11 or, if you'd like to you, can use a razor to clean it. All up standing behind will get will give you solid control on having a perfect shape on the left, as also on the right and move that hair around as well. And what is also important is here is the weight, distribution and the proportions from the nape of the neck, where the hair ends to the front, and now we're going to move on to the top. We'Re going to take a center section here, just like before we're going to continue taking a diagonal edge section lengthen the top layer with the sides. There is not that that much to connect, but, as you can see here, we're still here, it has to be blended in work till the center back like this now same thing. On the other side, now we're gon na do here the very top layer. All we got to do is take a horizontal section, pulling it straight off just clip here, the very, very tip you can move your hand while you cut okay, so one two now we're going to take just a little bit more on off from the very top Layer here and very simply how we do this here, just kind of like taking horizontal sections and I move my hand close my open and close my thumb. While I come so this way, you actually add different texture at a different length, which is a really really really great technique to do and the technique. I actually do quite a bit when cutting shorter hair, with the texturizer kind of like get the last top straight course personalize the hairstyle. So you can take random sections and eliminate that way. Move that hair round as well till you feel like the shape, is right. Using my KB slide, Royale thinner, blender, really great for detail work, particularly if you have really light hair long, hair like in this case, so what you can do because of its flag tip, just go in like so and eliminate here, just a little bit of weight And add very little extra texture to it, wherever you think it's necessary same thing as well around the ears. The contours you just want to work around it one more time because you end up sometimes there's a lot of hair right around the contours and in the nape. So the shear here is actually perfect for to eliminate a little bit of weight without cutting the hair. Too short, and now we're going to actually rinse the hair out, I'm going to present you the final product when cutting hair short dry dry, hair short, you want to rinse them out off the words. First of all, is your rinse out all the little hair? Let'S now stop getting, and, secondly is the hair has a tendency to bobble off a bit when you cut it dry and short, especially this hair there's little ports for his collar on it. So you kind of like want to calm it down for more time. Okay and then you see the perfect shape all the way so always give it a quick rinse, no shampoo, necessary to sweetie rinse it out. Well, you

ZainaDancer: Love this video...you understand how to deal with both short hair and older hair, and that is a gift. I have a pixie that I cut myself (been cutting my own hair for 30 years, since I got butchered in a salon), but I'd let you cut my hair any day of the week! P.S. Your model is gorgeous!

₿likewat3r🌊: Just used this technique to cut my own hair and it's never looked better. THANK YOU!!!!

dtisme2: PERFECT cut!!! And so much good advice. I cut my own with different thinning shears and straight blade w/guard. Moving hand while cutting was SUPER helpful. Thanks - this is my go-to video for hair cutting!

Little Ogeechee: OMG! I love this cut! It’s beautiful, and the model is absolutely stunning! I love the use of the texturizing sheers because I love a choppy sort of messy look to a short haircut...I wish I were near you, Mike, I’d be honored to have you cut my hair! Lovely ! The back is sheer perfection!

Susan Briggs: Love this cut! Great technique.

TheFeelena: Love your Hair tutorial for elderly & made her look fabulous. I’ll give it a try to my mom now that she can’t go to the salon because of this COVID .

Nicol ohne e: This is amazing! Thank you for sharing ❤️

I'm watching: I loved this!!! I got hypnotized with your hands moving... effortless, light, natural moves... ❤ her haircut got amazing!

Cathy Allison: You are a joy to watch....I've never done a complete h/c with texturizing shears!! absolutely love the result..So wish you were in my part of the world! You are such a Master. I am a licensed hair stylist. After watching you, I realize I'm still learning. Thank you!

Tammy Loro: Oh my gosh this looks fantastic! So youthful!!! Love it!!

Robin Crook: Since growing out and ending over 35 years of coloring (turns out my natural hair now is a multidimensional silver), I have notice a change in texture. I have worn it short for many years, but I notice that hairstylists have trouble giving me a cut like this w/o coarser parts kind of sticking up near the bottom. The way you cut this woman's hair was just wonderful. I will have to show this to my stylist next time.

Arrie Galvan: Thank you for explaining every step. Great cut.

DH Weadon: That is a fabulous haircut. I used to get my hair cut by a female barber when I lived in Florida and the style was almost just like this. Had to move back to Maryland and I hate the cuts I've been getting. I'll be showing them this video! So pretty! Thank you.

Lia Sottolano: Great video. Learned a lot. Love the cut and watching you!

Patty Mullin: Fantastic hair cut and style! I would LOVE it if a stylist actively moved my hair around like this. I have very thick, heavy, dry, naturally curly/some areas straight, totally impossible, now cut short hair. If a stylist would work with my hair in this manner, I could get a decent hair cut!! They could see it move and see where it needs "pruning" and "debulking", they could feel the bulk and weight and texturize it accordingly, etc. I WANT my hair to move like that - if it doesn't move like that when you are at the salon, I guarantee you it sure as heck won't move freely when you leave. Thank you for the video, again. wonderful hair cut.

Joanne Maurer: Fabulous! I agree with you totally. Short hair has to be precise. I am 62 and I have worn my hair short for years. No harsh lines...it has to be round and soft for me. This is a great haircut. I love that you cut it dry... Thank you for posting.

Wellington Meneghini: Ótimo corte...parabéns

ross don: Great look perfectly balanced wow I've been a hairdresser for a long time and I love how your texturized it's so there were no cut lines thanks for sharing

Inspire respire - Mon balcon potager: Thank you so much for sharing your technique ! I cut my mom's haïr and thanks to you I can improve !!! ❤

Mike Karg: Hello everyone; WOW thanks for ALL the great feedback. This is pretty much one of my favorite haircuts as well. The trick to achieve the shape and texture/ the seamless blend is using the KARG Shears K-11 and K-BSlide Royale for the ENTIRE haircut. Open and close the KARG Shear K-11 Royale fast to cut a straight line with texture and to erase all cutting lines (due to the blond course hair) use the KARG Shear K-BSlide Royale. To order KARG Shears and DVD’s go to www.mikekarg.com

CreatureovtheNight: Now that's a pixie cut! And now I know it's safe to ask my stylist to texturize and thin out the cropped pixie I'm getting tomorrow morning.

Sonya Sigal: Loved your technique...bought a similiar scissor and did not know how to use it. I cut and paint my own hair quite a few years now and learned a lot more looking at your video. Thank you very much for sharing

Deandra V: Amazing thanks for showing your technique

Pia: Love that hair cut - I’m cutting my own hair right now (and everyone else’s hair in my family) because of the Coronavirus. I’m a nurse so have no experience. Found the video and I of course can’t cut my own hair like that but I try (can’t afford your scissors but they look really nice).

Jeffry Alvarez: Thank you that's a great job!

Joani Shaw: love your explanations and ideas, more please!

Judy Mac: Adorable! I love the cut.

lisa evers: really good tutorial. and what a gorgeous woman. to me there is nothing like a beautiful woman, and who ALSO has really short hair. it's that combination of beauty + kick=ass confidence. far too many women 'hide' behind their longer hair. But then, not every woman can look good in short hair...

MsBibiMuneca: I know you posted this a few years ago but I must tell you, This video is the #1 BEST VIDEO AND TECHNIQUE on cutting short hair for women! It is my Holy Grail! I have been cutting my own pixie short hair for a few years and have always struggled with different techniques and tools, from shears to razor combs and have had hits and misses! You have simplified cutting and it is fool proof! People are always baffled when I tell them I cut my own hair. I have went to many salons and even a barbershop in the past and have left disappointed and sometimes embarrassed at how my hair turned out even after bringing pictures, and none of those stylists have ever used this technique! Thank You Mr. Karg! You are truly a Godsend! XOXO

Claudia Chacon: Your style is very artistic, that's what I like in a haircut. Thank you ♥️

GINGAR PHOTOS~GINGAR SNAPS: Thank you so much I was looking for this technique ❤

Ameeta Vaghela: Absolutely beautiful… I like the way you kept the back length slightly long, that looks super feminine.

StarlingofAzerath: Wow. Your video is the best pixie tutorial i have seen! You explain things clearly and slowly. Could you do a video on a style for a younger person? Like young adult?

Denise Terry: OMG, I have been trying to cut my moms hair wet for so long and I can't get the look I want. I did practice hair cutting in the 80's however I have lost my touch... THANK YOU MIKE KARG. I will be doing this with thinning shears that I have. I just cut the top of my own hair and love it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

K: You get it! So hard to find someone that understands texturinging! Everyone wants to just chop chop chop. I think I am going to request my cuts be done with texturizing shears only! Nice work!

suchemalinche: Mike you're awesome! wish you could do my hair. I've lost count already of how many stylists I've tried trying to get this same cut, to no avail I must say. I just gave up and now I have it to my shoulders. Seems stylists around here know how to do medium to long hair only.

Irene Z: Best pixie cut I’ve seen!

Antonia Rivera: Love it ❤

anna tixi: This pixie is adorable ❤️

Debra J: wow thats how i want my hair done, I love love love it❤❤❤

Jay Nabb: I need more shears. Love the video! Thank you!

Summer Landon: Amazing what a classy cut

Donna: I've watched this over and over and you're a true artist Mike.

Karen Callaghan: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way you cut hair. I love the way it looks. The lady looks absolutely gorgeous AND sheik ! That’s what I want. I love the texturing scissors. I wish I could get my haircut by you. I love that this haircut is not the usual OLD LADY haircut.

Ruth M: I loved watching you work. Thank you. This is how I want my hair, but no hairdresser has managed to do this. Why don't other hairdressers use these shears? Maybe I need to have a go myself!

Celtic Heart: She’s beautiful. Love the cut!!!

lizandra stewart: Oh my God that’s what my hair needs! I have been to various hair stylists and they just don’t add any texture to my hair

elsa molina mauriola: QUEDÓ EXACTAMENTE IGUAL COMO A MI ME GUSTA ,LO FELICITO POR TAN BUEN TRABAJO, UN SALUDO DESDE CHICLAYO -PERÚ

Planet RayRay: Beautiful woman and gorgeous cut. Very flattering to her pretty face. Love it!

Sandee Wilcox-Sarvey: I love it!

Jorge Manso: Liked your style a lot...very fast...very nice...I had to cut my mom's hair because of the quarantine, now I want to get better at it..thanks...

Muscate-Valeska de Lisabé: Her hair is sooo dry!!...but you make a very god job,and simple...I love this cut!! Bravo♡♡♡

Inkworm: Saving my life during this quarantine. My pixie haircut quickly turned into a mullet without a haircut for 2 months.

Lisa Seto: I would love him to cut my short hair. Love how he removes bulk.

Emily in Alabama: I keep coming back to your video. I’ve tried a pixie several times. They walkways wanted to cut it with regular shears and they think using thinning shears at the end will add the texture in. If I can find someone to follow your video, do you think I can still achieve the softness from my thick straight hair. I can see your models hair is a lot thinner then mine. While me actual strand is fine, there is alot more hair than your model still.

Ada Vazquez: Mike i love to have a hair cut like that but the salon's around here doesn't know how to cut hair, especially short thinner hair i love pixie cuts.

ACM: Superb! Thank you.

Julie-Anne Myers: Stunning lady who really suits this style

Luann Nielson: Hi, I love the haircut! You are the Best!

marianaalexa: Wish I could finally find someone in my suburbs who knows what I want. Keep getting a wrong cut even though I've asked for thinning and texturizing technique...

Marybeth Tomlimson: Awesome hair cut

Marcello Woodford: Excellent Advice, use of that Particular type of Scissor and subsequent Haircut too,of Course-Thank you!

Barbara G: I have large ears and my problem is styling it so my ears are camouflaged or attention is drawn away from my ears. I have a hard time making my hairdresser understand what I want. I do not have blonde hair, but this appears to be the perfect style for me. Now I know one thing I must do is request that she uses texturing shears. And if she don't have them I will purchase my own. But how do I explain to her about the length.
